The mini-death of lying in savasana is a welcome rebirth. Your golden opportunity to allow the past to be preparatory to fully surrendering into stillness. It is a sacred ritual, granting permission to the body to simply exist, releasing stress and tension, and fostering a profound connection to our eternal spirit within.

Savasana provides a tranquil aftermath, allowing us to ascend to a higher plane of consciousness. As we relinquish worries and fears, we emerge feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and replenished. Grounded, centered, and clear-headed to navigate the day by energetically freeing ourselves in mind, body, and spirit by taking that pause.

So often we are bound by what will arise if we stop and tap into our soul’s intelligence because we haven’t learned to recognize and listen to our intuition yet. We seek outside validation and guidance instead of turning inward and listening to the soul’s whispers from our hearts that are in our best interest.

Yoga Nidra is a deeply healing and relaxing meditation akin to a ‘yogic sleep’ state to those who embody it. Twenty minutes of meditation is equivalent to four hours of sleep and can be a quick reset that can revitalize you with the energy and frequency that you desire. It is the perfect meditation practice to begin with, if you are new to meditation because you cannot do it wrong, and your subconscious will receive what it needs in every meditation and apply it to the five koshas within your body. From the busy entrepreneur on the brink of burnout to the new mom who is sleep-deprived; this is hands down a game-changer for your health and wellness long-term. If you would like to try a free meditation you can join me on the health and wellness platform Vibly where I offer weekly meditations. Immerse yourself in the soothing waves of relaxation here.

Having taught yoga, I have witnessed the challenge some face with embracing savasana due to an overactive mind. However, the body eventually surrenders when given the time and space. Savasana, often skipped by those unaware of its true benefits, serves as the gateway to enlightenment, peace, and tranquility. It is a practice that becomes easier the more we do it, and becoming conscious of our thoughts, habits, and patterns; and why we choose to avoid what we know intrinsically will allow us to feel lighter and free.

Join us for the Rejuvenating Reset Virtual Yoga Retreat on Saturday, January 20 at 9:00 AM PST, where a sacred sound bowl ceremony awaits. Revitalize your spirit with us and surrender to the blissful healing vibrations that the crystal singing bowls invite to harmonize your state of being. Savasana’s transformative power is a perpetual gift, available to us when we allow ourselves to bask in its glory. Secure your virtual mat here and receive the recording for 90 days.
