Life is full of transitions. Some are exciting, while others can be overwhelming. For women, these transitional phases often bring unique challenges.

Three common problems women face during these times

1. Identity

Whether it's moving from college to a career, becoming a mother, or entering a new phase of life, many women find themselves questioning their sense of self.

'Who am I now?' becomes a recurring question.

2. Balancing priorities

As roles change, so do responsibilities.

Finding a healthy balance between work, family, and personal time can feel like an impossible juggling act.

3. Self-doubt and fear of failure

With so many expectations and pressures, it's easy to feel uncertain about the future and your ability to succeed.

Let’s take a moment to acknowledge that transitions can be tough, both for us and other important people in the process.

Sometimes the circumstances are difficult too.

Sit with those thoughts for a moment and decide what is the most reassuring thing you can say to yourself right now?

How to tackle these problems head-on

1. Reclaim your identity

Start by closing your eyes and reconnecting with your passions and values.

Re-align to your inner compass by thinking of three words that define your beliefs.

Journaling can be a powerful tool to reflect on who you are and what you truly want.

2. Set boundaries and priorities

Learn to say 'no' without feeling guilty and how to delegate tasks. Useful phrases can be:

“Thank you for thinking of me, unfortunately I’m currently fully committed.”

“Give me a couple of days to think about it and to see if I can reschedule any of my existing commitments.”

“My diary is full at the moment, but I’m sure you’ll find someone else for such an interesting project.”

Create a schedule that aligns with your priorities, ensuring you make time for self-care and relaxation. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

3. Overcome self-doubt

Don’t forget to acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. It is very easy to forget how far you have come and focus only on what is still to do. Surround yourself with supportive people who believe in you and your potential.

These steps can help you regain control and confidence.

Creating a sustainable plan for change

Ready to turn your insights into action?

Let's talk about creating a sustainable plan for lasting change.

1. Define clear, achievable goals

Break goals down into smaller steps to make them more manageable.

Choose the one that excites you the most.

Plan to take that step tomorrow. What will you need? How will you remind yourself to do it? For example, if your first step to being more active is to take a walk before work, set your alarm now and put your walking clothes ready by the bed.

This will help you stay focused and motivated.

2. Build a support system

Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who encourage your growth.

Consider joining a group or finding a mentor who understands your journey.

3. Practice consistency and adaptability

Regularly review your progress and be willing to adjust your plan as life changes.

Flexibility is key to maintaining momentum.

By following these steps, you can create a sustainable plan for personal growth and success.

But you don't have to do it alone.

I have an exciting opportunity to get the guidance and support you need to thrive.

Testimonials

“I was struggling with what I believed to be poor time management in my business. I was reluctant to give myself time off and found myself focused only on what I hadn’t done, as opposed to everything I had achieved. Working with Angela was a game changer. Over 6 weeks we tackled the saboteurs hijacking my mindset, and I quickly learned how to flip negative perspectives into positive. Without doubt, Angela brings a calm, confident approach to her coaching. She creates a safe space for honest conversation, while providing incredible insight and practical exercises.

Working with her on the Positive Intelligence course has greatly improved my mindset, on both a business and personal level. I cannot recommend Angela enough to anyone struggling to find balance, whether in a professional or personal capacity. My days now flow with far more ease, and when I catch myself sliding into old thought patterns, I easily reroute them using the exercises Angela teaches. A wonderful coach with a wealth of wisdom, I 100% recommend!” Julie Embleton
