While we love aesthetically pleasing graphics, we know that a pretty feed will only get you so far. We craft strategies, find your audience, leverage creative campaigns, and build lasting relationships. One thing we understand, make every impression count.

Share a bit about your journey so far. How did you end up where you are today in your career?
A lot has happened on my journey to influence where I am today and how we plan on moving forward. When I was a kid living on Nantucket, I used to dream up and plan different businesses to start, run lemonade stands for charitable causes, and write stories to be an author. The fact that I became a business owner before thirty, wasn’t a huge shock to people. I earned my B.S. in Marketing, B.S. in Business Management, and minor Certificate in Graphic Design from the University of New Haven. There, I worked with small businesses to create social media plans through classes, took an internship at a marketing agency, and was a part of as many on-campus organizations as possible.
Fast forward to today, I’ve traveled and lived in countries around the world, exploring and
learning about different cultures. I’ve worked in various marketing roles from Project Manager to
Marketing Director and have worked with companies of all kinds. I’ve been spending a lot of time in the discovery and research phase of my journey. I’ve been updating internal documents and processes, building a team I love to work with, and deciding which goals are the most important so I know what direction to take my company.
Tell us about your business and how it makes a difference for your clients.
My company, Marina Morgan Marketing, is female-founded, women-led, and obsessed with everything marketing and New England. We believe in first impressions backed by strategic plans and creative content. We work with our clients to create a brand they are proud of whether that’s a website, their social media feeds, or a local ad. As a boutique, full-service marketing agency, we create multi-channel, long-term plans that ensure your marketing is working for you every step of the way. One thing we understand, make every impression count.
We help our clients be confident when it comes to their marketing. We are here to answer their questions and work with them to create the business they’ve dreamt of. When our clients bring us on, they know we care about their success and aren’t just here for the check. We work hard and spend hours brainstorming and researching new ideas and ways to better their current marketing and branding.
What kind of audience do you target your business towards?
Located in Nantucket and Cape Cod, we spend a lot of time helping local Massachusetts businesses and organizations. We’ve hosted in-person educational events and trainings along with virtual workshops. While our services, products, and classes aren’t directed to Cape Cod and Nantucket, a majority of our service-based clients are based in this area. At the end of the day, we work with passionate brands who love what they do. We look for companies that are confident in their branding and messaging and have or are willing to build their asset library of photos, videos, and graphics. While we can and do help our clients with these, for most of our services, you’ll need that to get started.
Tell us about your Instagram masterclass.
Our Instagram Masterclass is here to help you run your Instagram like a pro. It is a start-to-finish course that will help you set up and run your own Instagram successfully. Business owners should be confident when it comes to the basics of marketing, and we’re here to help. On its version THREE (just launched), we are committed more than ever to providing practical, actionable knowledge that empowers you to succeed on Instagram. We know that social media can be a scary thing for people who don’t know what they’re doing, so this class is meant to boost your confidence and reduce your stress. We start at the beginning with basic features and the setup of Instagram and META, break down the fundamentals of creating content, and then take you through advanced strategies, analytics, and more. We want to help you reach real customers with your Instagram.

We all face challenges, can you talk about some tough times you´ve had in your career and how they´ve influenced your path?
My career has been a rollercoaster of good, great, and bad moments. Without the tough times in life and in my career, I wouldn’t have learned certain lessons and grown the way I have. Before I went full-time with Marina Morgan Marketing, I was working full-time at a job I once loved. After a change in leadership and frankly, lack thereof, it became very frustrating. Not everyone is meant to be the boss, especially when a bad boss and bad leadership will ruin your employee morale, retention, and recruitment along with their relationship with your clients and customers. This experience was the last straw for me. I didn’t look for a new job, I looked for new clients to add to my roster. From there, I went full-time with my business in June 2021.
Another challenge I often face is the work-from-home “working, working, working” cycle. I have always struggled with work-life balance. I would take extra shifts, I work long hours, and I think about work a lot. Even to this day, I am always thinking of new business ideas. I took extra classes and another job to be able to study abroad and get my second degree. I worked with clients as a freelancer after working all day at my full-time job. I knew what I wanted and what needed to get done so I was going to work for it. That’s great, but without balance, you just get burnt out. Burnout is a dangerous thing, and it didn’t help me grow my business or myself.
Learn to rest your brain and your body, enjoy your surroundings, and do things that bring you joy and peace of mind. Try to find ways to enjoy your everyday work so when you have a day you need to keep going, burnout isn’t finding its way through. I’ve learned why that balance is important. Take care of yourself first, so that you can take care of the rest.
Everyone has something that keeps them going, what motivates you in your work?
When it comes to motivation, there are a few things that keep pushing me forward. The first and the biggest are my loved ones. My friends and family have helped me work towards my goals, been my biggest support system, and have taught me a lot. They are what have made this business possible from the beginning. My future goals are another large motivator. While I am still working on the paper version, I have some big plans in store for MMM. I am currently working on our updated 1, 5, and 10-year plan and it has allowed me to think (and dream) about the big picture, but also to dig into the nitty-gritty of what we want to accomplish and what resources we will need to get it all done. Last, but definitely not least, my employees and partners. I love who I work with and I am thankful every day for that. Some days suck, it’s the truth of owning your own business, but knowing my team is supportive and ready to jump on any crazy idea I have, makes growing this business a little easier and a lot more fun.
Could you share a proud moment from your career?
One proud moment in my career was when I officially was able to hire my first full-time, salaried employee. As a freelancer and small business owner, I was used to working alone or with contractors for various projects as needed. I was trying to grow my business but was spending too much time working on only my clients. It started as a part-time job opportunity that quickly grew into a full-time position at our company. She has been an amazing addition and has grown to be my right-hand woman. This was a big moment for my business, growing it to a team of two, but one I knew I was ready for. Every business decision no longer just affects me but is all a part of a bigger plan.
Looking ahead, what do you hope to achieve personally and for your business?
At the end of the day, we want to grow so that we can help more small businesses and more people. We are planning to release more courses on marketing for small businesses including email marketing and creating an all-inclusive marketing plan, along with products so that others can DIY their own marketing. Keep an eye out for those launches in the future! We are actively growing our client roster with businesses and organizations we believe in and our values align with. With our services ranging from social media management and email marketing to website development and content photography, we are looking for people who are passionate and ready to get to work on achieving their goals. A long-term goal of MMM is to create a scholarship focused on helping students looking to study Marketing and Business Management and a grant program that aims to help small businesses with an emphasis on women-owned and run.
