We are taught that achieving is most important. We strive to achieve and succeed. We are awarded with a paycheck, a trophy, or praise for achieving. We work hard to achieve a goal, and when we do, there's yet another goal and another. We can become tired and disillusioned reaching for the next goal with a sense of fleeting satisfaction. Everything seen is temporary. Everything unseen is eternal.

Becoming

Becoming is to evolve or to be transformed. What difference would it make to look at each of our tasks through the lens of becoming? As we work toward our business goals, who are we becoming? As we check off daily tasks from our to-do list, are we becoming who we want to be?

Everything Belongs

So, whether we are achieving or becoming, everything belongs. Meeting our goals is important. When we ask the question of who we are becoming, do we like who you see? It is best to live without judgment of ourselves and others. Everyone is doing the best they are able to do, for every reason under the sun.

No matter what we get done each day, if we focus on love, joy, and peace as our highest achievement, becoming would happen naturally. Becoming brings a sense of fulfillment no one can take away.

Evolving Toward Love

Are we more loving now than we were ten years ago? Are we able to forgive our parents, teachers, coaches, and bosses? Have we grown in wisdom, understanding and empathy?

We sometimes have moral judgments that divide us. Moral judgments are beliefs we tell ourselves generation after generation. A better question could be, “Are we more loving?”

Love, Love, Love

I met a business professional who was trying to be brave enough to go door to door to promote her business. I instantly saw a way she could do this uncomfortable task with a new sense of purpose and power. I suggested as she knocked on each door, she imagined, “Love, love, love.” She was in business to improve the financial lives of her community. She benefited from these services, so she wanted to help others out of love for them. So do everything in love and see your life and business improve immeasurably.

I Love You!

I love you! I really, really do love you. Somehow with all the things happening in the universe, it is a miracle you are reading these words. Say, ‘I love you’ to yourself many times every day. These are essential words to becoming. You are always on the right path! Your dreams are coming true!
