I’ve been a leader since I was a little kid. Teachers used to tell my mom that I had a natural ability to lead, and as I grew up, I started to see it too. But for me, leadership was never about control or authority; it was about sharing, learning, and lifting others up.

I’ve always loved to share my knowledge and, just as much, learn from others. Because being a good leader isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about listening, understanding, and inspiring those around you.

Leadership is not a title – It’s how you make people feel

In my corporate journey, my team often told me:

"I’ve never had a leader like you before."

And every time I heard that, I felt deeply grateful. Not because of the compliment itself, but because I knew my impact wasn’t just on the job; it was on their lives.

That’s what leadership is.

It’s not about being the loudest in the room. It’s not about having a fancy title. It’s about making people feel valued, seen, and inspired.

The core of thoughtful leadership

Being a leader doesn’t require a corner office or a LinkedIn badge. It requires:

  • Listening: Truly hearing what people need, not just waiting for your turn to speak.

  • Empathy: Putting yourself in someone else’s shoes before making decisions.

  • Vulnerability: Being open about your own challenges so others feel safe doing the same.

  • Inspiration: Leading in a way that makes others want to rise, not out of fear but out of excitement.

And this doesn’t just apply to leadership within a company.

It applies to entrepreneurs, business owners, coaches, consultants, and anyone who wants to build a brand, a movement, or a business that changes lives.

From leading teams to leading online

Today, my leadership has taken on a new form.

Now, I have the chance to impact even more lives, not just in an office but globally.

I share my expertise, my knowledge, and my experiences online, and my biggest joy is seeing how these insights help others grow, achieve their goals, and believe in themselves.

Because leadership isn’t just about who you are in a room it’s about how you show up in the world.

Becoming a thoughtful leader on LinkedIn

If you’re building your presence online, you might be wondering:

"How do I position myself as a leader without feeling like I’m just talking into the void?"

Here’s how:

  • Share what you know, freely. Thoughtful leaders give before they ask. Share insights, strategies, and personal experiences that help others grow.

  • Engage with others. Leadership isn’t a monologue. Comment, reply, and ask questions. Make your audience feel seen.

  • Show your humanity. People don’t connect with perfection; they connect with authenticity. Share your journey, the wins, and the lessons.

  • Lead with value, not just authority. Instead of saying, “Here’s why I’m great,” say, “Here’s what I’ve learned; let me help you.”

  • Inspire others to act. Thoughtful leadership is about creating conversations that spark change. The more you inspire others to take action, the stronger your presence becomes.

Your leadership can change lives

Every day, you have the power to influence, uplift, and guide someone, whether it’s through your words, your work, or your presence.

And if you’re showing up, sharing your knowledge, and making an impact, you are already a leader.

The world needs more thoughtful leaders. Are you ready to step into that role?

If you want to build your presence as a leader on LinkedIn, let’s connect.
