In yogic practices, the term would be Sushumna Nadi pranayama or “orgasmic breath.” Knowledge of chakras is imperative here and how it pulls sexual/pelvic energy through your whole body and synergizes this energy into alignment. Before walking you through breathwork that will get you where you want to be, let’s first look at the chakras and how they relate to orgasmic breath. Chakra is literally translated as “wheel” in Sanskrit.

There are 7 chakras which are:

  1. Root

  2. Sacral

  3. Solar Plexus

  4. Heart

  5. Throat

  6. Third Eye

  7. Crown

The root chakra is located in the coccyx and manifests itself as stability and grounding and is red in color. The sacral chakra will be of most importance to us here. It is located just below the navel and above the pubic bone. It is responsible for sexuality, pleasure, sexual pleasure and our creative side. It is orange in color. The solar plexus chakra is located in the upper abdominal area and is responsible for self-esteem and confidence. It is yellow in color. The heart chakra is, you guessed it, centered near the heart and is responsible for love and compassion and is green in color.

The throat chakra, yes, is located in the throat, and is responsible for communication and is blue in color. The third eye chakra is located between the eyes on the forehead and is responsible for intuition and imagination. It is indigo in color. Finally, the crown chakra is located at the very top of the head, is responsible for awareness and intelligence and can be violet or white in color. Although this is an abridged explanation of the chakras, it is good to understand how these work in the context of breathwork for inducing and augmenting the orgasms you deserve.
