Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

Hey! I’m Jamie Alexander, born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I’m a proud mama of three, Zoe is 13, Zane is 8, and my youngest, Zayden, is 6. I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for 17 years now, and we’ve got a very full house, including our schnauzer and two cats. It’s always loud, always busy, but so much fun.

Growing up, I was always into sports, track, basketball, and cheerleading kept me moving. I ended up going to Florida State University and graduated with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and a business concentration. After college, I climbed the corporate ladder in big box retail and became a Store Director at Target.

But health and wellness have always been a huge part of who I am. It’s something I’ve been passionate about since I was young, and over time, that passion turned into purpose. Now, I help other women, especially busy moms like me, feel strong, confident, and in control of their health from the inside out.

What inspired you to start Living Well with Jamie and focus on holistic wellness coaching?

Honestly, Living Well with Jamie was born out of my own journey, trying to balance everything as a working mom, wife, and woman who still wanted to feel good in her body and mind. I was leading a team of over 200 people as a Store Director, juggling long hours, raising kids, and trying to keep myself together. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I realized I had put myself on the back burner.

I also started to notice that I wasn’t alone, so many of my peers were feeling the same way. Women who were smart, driven, and successful were still struggling to prioritize themselves. We were all doing everything for everyone else, and slowly losing touch with our own health and happiness.

That’s when I started diving deeper into not just fitness, but mindset, nutrition, and overall wellness. I realized it wasn’t just about losing weight or looking a certain way, it was about truly living well from the inside out.

That’s what inspired me to create a space where women, especially busy, high-performing moms, could feel supported, seen, and empowered to take care of themselves in a way that’s sustainable and soul-nourishing. Living Well with Jamie is so much more than workouts, it’s about helping women truly thrive and build a lifestyle they love.

Can you walk us through when someone signs up for a clarity call?

Yes! So when someone signs up for a clarity call with me, it’s really the first step in figuring out what’s actually going on beneath the surface. I like to say it’s not a sales call, it’s a connection call. It’s a space where we get to pause, breathe, and have an honest conversation about where you are in your health and wellness journey, what’s been holding you back, and where you truly want to be.

I ask questions that go deeper than “how much weight do you want to lose?” because it’s rarely just about that. We talk about energy, confidence, mindset, lifestyle, what your days look like, what’s been working, and what hasn’t. My goal is to truly understand what you need and see if one of my programs is the right fit for you.

Even if we don’t end up working together, you’ll still leave the call with clarity and a few actionable pointers on what’s needed to help you reach your goals. I’m big on giving value, so whether it’s advice on your workouts, nutrition, or routine, I’ll always make sure you walk away with something helpful.

By the end of the call, we’ll have a clear roadmap of what it could look like to work together. And if it’s the right fit, amazing! If not, I’m still rooting for you and want you to have a starting point to move forward.

What are the most common challenges your clients face when they first come to you?

One of the biggest challenges my clients face when they first come to me is trying to do it all without a real plan. These are high-performing women, moms, professionals, caregivers, who are juggling so much and constantly pouring into others, but rarely into themselves. They’re exhausted, stretched thin, and struggling to find time for their own health.

Another common challenge is lack of consistency. They’ve usually tried different diets, random workouts, or programs that didn’t fit their lifestyle. So they start strong, but life happens, schedules shift, kids get sick, work gets demanding, and their goals fall to the bottom of the list.

I also see a lot of all-or-nothing thinking. If they can’t go all in, they don’t do anything at all. They believe they need hours at the gym or perfectly clean meals every day, which just isn’t realistic with everything on their plates.

And lastly, many women come to me feeling disconnected from their bodies, they don’t feel confident in the mirror, they’re frustrated with stubborn weight or bloating, and they don’t know what’s actually going to work for them. That’s where I come in to help them create a plan that’s personalized, sustainable, and rooted in grace, not guilt.

How do you personalize your coaching programs to fit each client’s unique needs?

Great question! Personalization is everything in my coaching. No two women are the same, so their programs shouldn’t be either.

When a client joins one of my programs, we start with a full assessment that goes beyond just weight or fitness level. I look at their lifestyle, schedule, food preferences, stress levels, mindset, past struggles, and even their sleep habits. I want to understand the whole picture, not just what they want to change, but why it matters to them.

From there, I create a customized workout plan that fits their goals and lifestyle, whether they’re working out at home, in the gym, or only have 30 minutes a day. Their nutrition guidance is also tailored based on their needs, whether they’re managing PCOS, looking to lose fat, build muscle, or just eat more consistently without the overwhelm.

I also factor in mindset work, because let’s be honest, lasting change starts in the mind. I guide them through simple but powerful mindset shifts, habits, and accountability check-ins that keep them motivated and on track, even on busy or tough days.

At the end of the day, my goal is to create a program that feels doable, aligned, and sustainable. I want my clients to feel like, “Wow, this actually fits into my life.”

What role does mindset play in the transformation journey you guide people through?

Mindset is everything in the transformation journey. You can have the perfect workout plan and the cleanest meal prep, but if your mindset isn’t in the right place, it’s only a matter of time before you feel stuck, frustrated, or just give up.

A lot of the women I work with come to me believing they have to be perfect to make progress. They’re hard on themselves, quick to quit if they miss a workout or eat something “off plan,” and often tie their worth to a number on the scale. So one of the first things we work on is shifting that mindset , replacing guilt with grace, and perfection with progress.

I help my clients reframe their inner dialogue and start focusing on what their bodies can do, how they feel, and the small wins that add up. We work on things like self-talk, confidence, patience, and consistency, not just because it sounds good, but because it’s what creates real, lasting change.

When your mindset shifts, your habits follow. That’s when the magic happens, because transformation starts from the inside out.

What’s one success story that reminds you why you do this work?

There are so many, but one story that always sticks with me is from a mom of four who joined my Elite Transformation Accountability Program. She came in feeling completely overwhelmed, juggling a demanding job, her family, and dealing with high blood pressure. She had tried everything and felt like nothing was working long term.

We focused on creating a routine that fit her life, not one that added more stress. We customized her workouts, simplified her nutrition, and worked on her mindset, especially learning to give herself grace. She committed to showing up, even when it wasn’t perfect.

Fast forward a few months: she lost 18 pounds, reduced her blood pressure medication, started sleeping better, had more energy, clearer skin, and most importantly, she felt like herself again. She told me she’s a better mom, wife, and coworker because she finally learned how to prioritize herself without guilt.

That transformation wasn’t just physical, it was total. And stories like that are exactly why I do this work. Seeing women step back into their power and thrive in every area of life? That’s everything to me.

Tell us about your greatest career achievement so far.

One of my greatest career achievements so far has been winning Best Online Fitness and Wellness Program for Busy Women in 2024 for my signature program, the Elite Transformation Accountability Program. That recognition meant so much because it validated the heart behind my work, helping busy women finally put themselves back on the list and transform their lives from the inside out.

But honestly, what I’m most proud of is the ripple effect this program has created. I’ve had women not only lose weight and build strength, but reduce medications, boost their confidence, sleep better, and feel more present in their families’ lives. I’ve even had clients take what they’ve learned and begin to inspire their own communities.

Knowing that what I created is changing lives, and that I’ve now coached women not just across the U.S., but also internationally, that feels like a dream come true. And I know it’s just the beginning.
