  • The Global Marketplace is Starving for Feminine Leadership

Written by: Fareen Ash, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. If there were ever a time when women needed to embrace their true essence, it would be now. There is a growing misconception of what it means for a woman to embrace, nourish and cultivate her femininity. The backlash and misinterpretations of what it means to be feminine are mounting. Women who dare to embrace this natural part of themselves are silently demonized for it. They are often perceived as weak and subservient by men, women alike. It could not be further from the truth. A woman that embraces this part of herself has access to the world in a way that most will never experience. Femininity is the gateway to impact in love and business. And I say this with the utmost respect to our masculine counterpart, of course. The rise of feminine leadership will restore balance, harmony, and equality in its purest sense. With the advent of the feminist movement, women have forgotten and disowned their true nature. Women compete in the world for value over core needs that are masculine by nature. Prestige and status now take precedence over love and connection. If we go back in history, we can see that men are by nature designed to hunt. Of course, there is no need to hunt for food, but even if the stimulus has changed, the very nature of hunting is still very much a necessary part of a man's DNA. Today, the hunt is for wealth, status, prestige. It is in man's very nature to go after what he wants and even compete for it. When a woman is out in the world "hunting" for resources, she increases the male hormone. Now, her biochemistry is out of balance. Naturally, she will become unhappier, unfulfilled, and even depleted. Women experience a deficiency in their natural hormones and desire testosterone-building achievements to feel good. This pushing against a women's true nature not only severely impacts her health and intimate relationship, but it is a grave disservice to the world. In a world where a surplus of energy moves towards competition, dominance, and greed, feminine leadership is the ultimate pathway to restoring humanity. A woman is influential when she embraces her strong intellectual capabilities and works to develop her most powerful gift, her femininity. Before I conclude this piece, let me explain that I have a strong educational background for those not versed in this area. I have a post-secondary and post-graduate degree, was admitted into a Masters of Public Policy Program, and worked as a litigation attorney for nearly ten years. I am financially abundant and have assets. I have achieved the above alone. Not by choice; it is just how my life unfolded. I do not lead with, nor do I inflate my sense of self with my worldly accomplishments and pursuits. It is just that. I pride myself on my feminine qualities: my heart, compassion, humility, playfulness, and softness. My accomplishments and ambition come second to my true nature, who I am, and how I show up in this world. My hope for this piece is to form an empowering belief of femininity's strength and power and dispel the outdated notion that it is demonstrative of weakness, dependency, and co-dependency. • Fear is Your Friend – Let me Show You How

Written by: Jane Christine, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Do you see the positive intention behind your fear? Fear is a healthy, natural, and can be a resourceful state to experience. So, how do we transform our fear to see it in a positive light? We make friends with it. We take the time and patience to understand what the underlying intention for this emotion is. Collectively, when we have more information, we can feel safer, make better decisions, and elevate our understanding. This can also be applied to our emotions, as when we have more information and understanding of why we feel as we do, our ability to comprehend the situation heightens. Your fear doesn’t know the difference between physical danger and emotional comfortability For example, if there is a thunderstorm outside at night and the electricity is cut, all the lights go out, and you are home by yourself – do you have a sense of fear or at the very least, your senses are heightened, and you are wary of danger. Why do you think you feel like this? Because you have lost the ability to see clearly and look out for your own safety – fear acts as a protector and kicks in our survival instincts. So, what about when you are not in imminent danger? The fear arises when you’re about to go into a job interview. This is a different kind of fear, but the physiological sensation feels the same. Let’s think about if you didn’t want this job, would you have fear going into the interview? I would probably think not. You see, when you aren’t invested in the outcome, your care factor is low, and therefore the chances of fear arising would also be low. In this scenario, I believe fear is highlighting your care and the importance of this job interview – the outcome and impact that would have on your life. Fear can be your friend if you know how to embrace and understand her Like all emotions, they serve a purpose for our safety and protection. However, due to our past experiences and traumas, we can misunderstand how to interpret them. You may start to befriend all of your emotions, even those that don’t feel the greatest, by knowing that they all have positive intentions. When you believe this and understand that each action and emotion is trying to help and protect you, you may be able to disengage your emotional wall and explore where this feeling is coming from. Taking a step back, going to a safe place where you can take deep breaths and open yourself up to discover where the fear or anxiety is coming from. Find your safety zone Identify a physical place in your life where you can be safe, uninterrupted, quiet, and calm. Once you know you have this location at your disposal, you’ll be able to come to it whenever you need respite or a place to process your emotions. Deep exploration is hard work. It takes dedication and can sometimes be difficult. However, if you allow yourself to just be silent and still in a safe place, your mind will offer the answers you seek. You just have to be willing to listen. Fear can show up in your life when you are invested in the outcome of your goal, when you really care about something or someone, when you doubt your abilities. The positive intention here could be to show you how important this issue is. If that is true for you, then you can use this fear to your advantage. You can tap into your resources and skillset and adapt as you need to to become ready and prepared for the outcome. You can leverage your fear to excel in your evolution All of your feelings are giving you subconscious messages. It’s up to us to befriend them and get to know their language. How we read and interpret our feelings can elevate our experience in life. Think of your feelings as a message board – they are conveying ideas to you, but it’s up to you to be able to decipher what they mean and symbolize to you and your situation. Often people distract themselves when they start to feel an emotion that doesn’t make them feel good, but that means they are not listening to the message. Instead, they are avoiding what’s trying to be communicated. Your emotions are your friends, and they tell you what you cannot see. Fear highlights what’s important to you so you can take action accordingly. Befriend your feelings and understand their positive intentions. • Ready to Meet Your Soulmate? Check Into — The Love Psychologists “Relationship Rehab”

Written by: Nancy Elliott, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. They tried to make me go to Rehab! I said, "Yes! Yes! Yes!" Being a single woman can be challenging, lonely, and humiliating for everyone. But if you are a highly accomplished woman, it can feel particularly shaming. Whether you have a killer body, a fast-paced entrepreneur, make a mean Coq au Vin, or head up a billion-dollar empire. The pain of single life affects us all at times. For the high-achieving woman , being single with all of her spoils can feel like God is up there, rubbing salt, spa-like fashion, into the core of her single girl wound. “Many successful women are not in a couple. You are not alone. Don’t believe the hype!” She may ask herself, “What's wrong with me. I have so much to offer. Why am I still single when my friends and everyone else is coupled up?” Understandably, this is a very confusing and painful place. If you are one of these women, the first thing I want to say to you is it’s time to let go of this limiting belief. It is a myth that does not empower you and is simply not true. I have been a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Coach for almost 10 years and have worked with many single high-achieving women. Many of these women were also challenged by the task of attracting and sustaining healthy, lasting love. Such women know that they can find a man, even a husband, at the drop of a hat. The key for them is to find a healthy, peaceful, happy, exciting, and sexy relationship with a King of a man. Not just someone to settle with. So take a deep breath, channel Yvonne Elliman, and repeat after me, “If I can’t have you, I don’t want nobody, baby!” Now that’s out the way, the question still remains. Why are you single? What are things that are not working in your relationships? Are there patterns you keep repeating? Or perhaps the problem is that no one can quite measure up to your exacting standards. “So, the question remains, why are you still single? What are things that are not working in your relationships?” Perhaps you are ready for Relationship Rehab. A place where we get to stop! To take time solely to identify the obstacles within us that are preventing us from attracting and sustaining lasting love. I started the Relationship Rehab to get the bottom of what’s not been working in our relationships and why and put ourselves in the strongest position we’ve ever been to get the love we deserve. This is a super exciting proposition. Why do you need a relationship rehab? Because whatever it is, and it's different for all of us, something is unsteadying you when you start developing feelings for someone. I understand this well. No matter how intelligent or successful you are, being in a relationship for some women and me who was one of them can mean losing herself and giving away a disproportionate amount of power to her man. "Being in a relationship for some women can mean losing herself and giving away a disproportionate amount of power to her man. I know, I was one of them!” She can become almost childlike, unable to identify or express her needs and set functional boundaries to ensure those needs are met. There are several reasons why such a woman may struggle to find and sustain love. Sure, she’s had therapy, done courses and retreats on love, this woman has invested in her personal development. Perhaps what’s missing is that all of her attempts at working through her relational problems have been targeted at healing the ‘Woman,’ when actually, it is the little girl that needs the healing and the one who is enacting toxic behaviors in her relationships. Perhaps all the work she has done so far is taking place at the wrong level of analysis. Powerful family therapist and best-selling author Catherine Woodward Thomas does some powerful work around relationships. According to Katherine, ‘Our trauma is in our bodies. Where we formed a traumatized somatic self, it is from there, we have generated the feelings and perceptions that caused havoc in our relationships. Ladies, it's time to check into rehab? Let’s start at the root of the issue. That way, we will get the treatment right this time. Love is just around the corner. “Sometimes we motivate ourselves by thinking of what we want to become other times we motivate ourselves by thinking about who we don’t ever want to be again.” — Shayne Niemeyer. • Have a Wonder Woman Mindset To Rewriting Your STORRIE

Written by: Dr. Christine Manukyan, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Happy International Women’s Day to all the incredible women (and girls) around the world. Today, on March 8th, we celebrate all women and their achievements throughout history and across nations. This globally recognized holiday is also a day to raise awareness of issues affecting women around the world and increase equality between men and women. As an international woman myself, I was born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia. Inspired by the American dream of more opportunities and a better life, my family immigrated to America when I was 16 years old. In the 1980s, life was quite different back home. Women were seen as someone without a voice who became stay-at-home moms. Women were not seen as role models, and those who pursued careers were being judged for prioritizing themselves instead of choosing family first. Growing up, I was stuck in the mindset that “I am not ENOUGH.” I was subconsciously conditioned to put everyone else’s needs before mine. I was raised to remain voiceless as if my dreams don’t matter. I didn’t understand how important it is to have a Wonder Woman Mindset and get really good at making life-changing decisions. This is why I am so passionate about teaching my 8-year-old daughter to learn how to make decisions on her own and fail forward, so she will grow up understanding what life looks like when you have the Wonder Woman Mindset . Our mindset determines everything. In order to achieve success and live your ideal life, you have to have Wonder Woman Mindset so you can create the world you want to live in. My superpower is making life-changing decisions without overthinking. Having Wonder Woman Mindset changed my life. These are my 3 steps on how you can become unstoppable, learn how to make decisions, and rewrite your STORRIE. My personal motto is, “Everyone deserves a second chance to rewrite their STORRIE and become the best version of themselves.” I have gone through many transformations and pivots in my life and I hope I inspire you to make a decision to transform your life and rewrite your STORRIE . Step 1: Make a decision based on your WHY. So many of us struggle with making decisions because we are overthinking it and we are making decisions NOT TO MAKE A DECISION by living comfortably uncomfortable. We focus on the HOW instead of focusing on our WHY. When your WHY is strong, you will figure out the HOW. Ask yourself WHY you want to change your life, keep asking WHY 5 more times , because the 5th one is your TRUE WHY that will keep you going. My WHY is my family, and when I heard my doctor telling me I won’t be around to see my kids grow up, I knew I had to make a decision. Since making that decision to become healthy, I not only lost 100 lbs but also became a bodybuilding athlete stepping on stage as Wonder Woman and became a marathon runner, successfully finishing the LA Marathon on March 8, 2020 (celebrating International Women’s Day). If you are struggling to make a decision then your why is not strong enough, or maybe you are not experiencing enough pain to make that decision. So, be honest with yourself, dig deep, and find your “true why” that will make you unstoppable. Step 2. Write a letter to yourself describing your ideal life a year from now. I want you all to believe in the power of vision casting. As you are writing your letter, please write this down, I AM…. And fill in the blank. I AM is one of the most powerful words you will use and what you put after that will shape your reality . I would love to share my story regarding this letter I wrote to myself on 8/13/19 . That day I was attending a networking event and I heard one of the speakers talk about her success story and how she walked away from corporate America to entrepreneurship so she can be a full-time mom. I honestly don’t remember what else she said after that, all I remember was that she spoke to me and to my pain point at that moment. I was crying, I was shaking, I just felt this energy and strength inside me to take out my notebook and write this letter about what my life will look like a year from now. I titled it “ The power of your vision ” and wrote the following. I retired at 40. I am a full-time mom , wife, daughter and friend. I am blessing so many people with the Isagenix opportunity. I am helping others reach their dreams like I reached mine. XoXo Dr. Christine When I wrote this letter, I was making great money working in one of the top hospitals in the USA. However, I was a part-time mom working full-time hours. I was tired having 2 to 3 hour commute each day, getting home so late and barely seeing the kids. I was tired of missing out on many events because I was working. It broke my heart having the kids be in school and after-school programs for 11 hours a day. I remember coming home from this event and sharing this letter with my family. I made a promise to the kids that the following school year in 2020, mommy will figure out a way to leave her job so they no longer have to stay in school so late. I wanted to be a full-time mom and corporate dropout for my 40th birthday in 2020. When you have a strong WHY and a vision, people will come into your life that will help you get there. My business coach helped me launch my own virtual Functional Medicine Practice during the Global Pandemic. On the exact same date a year later on 8/13/2020 I turned in my 2-week notice and left my job at the hospital after 13 years of practicing as a hospital pharmacist, so I can pursue entrepreneurship and build my own legacy in Functional Medicine. My last day at work was 3 days prior to my 40th birthday. I hope I inspire you today to find some time and write your vision casting letter that will help you to make a decision. Remember, what you focus on, you will find. Step 3: Turn your limiting beliefs to empowering beliefs. Oftentimes we are unconscious about what we believe in and how those beliefs affect our actions. Our LIMITING beliefs can cause us to miss out on the things that we want most and our EMPOWERING beliefs can drive us toward the life we want to live . Beliefs carry emotion, and emotion turns to action. Those beliefs then influence the way we live. Take a moment and write down 3 of your limiting beliefs that are stopping you to make a decision to change your life. Look at those limiting beliefs and ask yourself how these can become empowering beliefs. This step is very important as you are letting go of negative self-talk and embracing the badass Wonder Woman you are. Don’t settle, go out there and believe in yourself and surround yourself with those who will believe in you before you believe in yourself. Having Wonder Woman Mindset taught me how to turn these limiting beliefs into empowering beliefs. One of my most recent limiting beliefs was “I can’t have my own podcast because I have an accent and it will be hard to understand me.” Once I turned it into empowering belief, I successfully launched STORRIE podcast in 5 days. STORRIE podcast became top-rated in the USA, Canada, Sweden and Philippines. I created this podcast for all the women who are going through life transformation. I believe it’s time to give yourself permission to be vulnerable by sharing your STORRIE to EMPOWER, INSPIRE and SUPPORT other women going through life transformation. I am on a mission to show 1 million women around the world how to let go of the stigma of being ashamed to share our stories because you never know whose life you will change once you open up your soul. Wonder Woman is not a fictional character. Wonder Woman is a MINDSET . Subscribe to STORRIE Podcast and share with me when you DECIDE to REWRITE your STORRIE. To learn more about the Wonder Woman Mindset , listen to Episode 1 and follow me on social media. Until then, live with passion and unleash your inner Wonder Woman. Don’t stop believing that you can be a superhero and become your own Wonder Woman. You can do anything you put your mind to once you have Wonder Woman Mindset . • The 5 Prominent Traits of Feminine Leadership

Written by: Mona AlHebsi, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. I’m quite certain that most of you have those one or two inspirational leaders or mentors who have supported you during a vulnerable time in your career life. They have championed you to believe in yourself, cleared annoying obstacles from your pathway to help you move forward, or encouraged you to dream big and achieve your goals. In my own career, I have had 2 such leaders who I will always cherish for what they have done to support me. I’ve learned from them a lot about how to be a good human and a better leader myself and connect with my team. One of them was a wonderful woman leader in my early career life and the other one was the most supportive male leader I’ve worked with in my recent working years. The interesting observations I had while I was working with them, unlike others, that they both made time for me, made me feel important and acknowledged my unique skills and insights that I brought to the table. These things in turn, brought the best out of me and motivated me to put more discretionary efforts to ensure we succeeded as a team and my managers looked good in front of their seniors. Both of my most admired leaders possessed some unique humane traits that made them great leaders to work with. These are called: “Feminine Leadership Traits” because they are feminine qualities that are naturally found in the makeup of women and thus qualify them to lead better than their male counterparts. Fair to say that men who develop these feminine leadership qualities in them stand a great chance to become inspirational leaders like my previous manager. Empathy Women possess highly developed EQ abilities; a study conducted about the same matter, revealed that women had outscored men in 4 out of 5 EQ traits i.e., self-awareness, self-regulation, social skills & empathy, while both men and women had equal scores for motivation . Of course, we have all encountered some great male leaders during the span of our careers, and they were that great because they have worked on developing their EQ skills. The discussion here is that EQ traits come naturally to women while men must develop them as key skills to become more effective leaders. Most women can empathize with others effortlessly and relate to their feelings and perspectives mainly because they are good listeners. It’s through empathy, one can build connections with others then engage in meaningful conversations that help people feel heard and understood. And guess what do you get as a leader when your team members feel heard and understood? They will do everything in their capacity to lift you up and keep you from failing by delivering high-quality outcomes. On occasions, you will feel that they are loyal to you more than the organization they are working for; this is the real beauty of human connection! Vulnerability Many people in a corporate or professional setting get uncomfortable when they even think about the word “vulnerable.” As a woman, I find it quite powerful and liberating to be vulnerable. Vulnerability simply means being comfortable to express your emotions freely. In other words, not shying away from showing the human side of you and being authentic in your approach and how you communicate with others. Building on the concept of showing empathy, you can only take it forward and build connection with others by allowing yourself to be vulnerable when needed. This removes any perceived emotional or hierarchical barriers between you and your team and creates a beautiful space to connect on a human level. They can relate to you more and the communication can flow openly both ways. Leaders who lack this trait, often come across as being out of alignment with themselves because they are working hard to portray a fake image about themselves and their preferences just to fit the “corporate scripture”. As a result, they diminish their chances of influencing their teams and outcomes positively and thus lose credibility. Balance As women are natural caretakers and nurturers; they better understand other non-work-related priorities like family issues, children schooling and quality time with loved ones and offer more support to their team members with such needs. Let’s face it, full-time jobs end up taking a major part of our days and leave us with extraordinarily little time for other important things like family, sleep, exercise, and leisure, to name a few. Leaders who treat us like adults and trust that we will make good use of our time are far more worthy of respect and admiration. Therefore, many studies have shown that the level of autonomy that you get at work is directly correlated with your level of engagement and thus productivity. This way, only you can balance the demanding requirements of your job while keeping yourself satisfied that you have given yourself and your family the quality time both deserve. An understanding leader can certainly make your life easier in this sense. Intuition Since women are intrinsic beings, most intangible human-related elements like processing complex emotions and getting hunches comes naturally to them. And guess what? If you have abilities to deal with such sophisticated matters, then you don’t need to worry a lot, because most issues that we face in life are results of either not being able to deal with complex emotions or that we ignore what our intuition is trying to signal to us to avoid disappointments. I personally credit many of my successful outcomes to my ability to trust my intuition and act upon my hunches most of the time. Women are generally quite intuitive and skillful at acting upon it and getting great results. You can always become good at this by doing more of it, you might get it wrong at times, but the more you are connected to yourself and with experience, you will get extraordinary results in your life. And remember ~ numbers don’t always tell the full story ~ don’t be deceived by the lines always being repeated in boardrooms! There are other intangible elements that figures cannot capture, and your intuition (inner wisdom) will bridge that gap for you, so learn to trust it. Generosity Female leaders tend to be more giving to their teams and by giving here, I mean the things that the leader does above and beyond the call of their duty with the exclusive intent of seeing people grow and find meaning in what they do. Generosity and giving in the context of leadership extends to much more than things that have monetary value, things that are priceless. Going back to the feminine nature of caring and nurturing, giving comes in different shades and forms, like giving teammates a sense of purpose, trusting them, giving them importance, giving them chances, giving visibility, giving encouragement, giving forgiveness, allowing them to make mistakes, giving credit & praise, sharing knowledge and experience with them, coaching, and mentoring them to see them grow and shine, giving them moral support and the like. To sum up, as we climb the corporate ladder, our people skills will be the key differentiator of our effectiveness and sole determinant of our success. Our technical skills may have been helpful most in the beginning years of our career to move us to the next level, but not as leaders working with all kinds of people. The advanced phases of our careers call for a unique set of skills and abilities like the above-mentioned ones, which don’t require us to do much other than embracing our humanity and connecting more with others. So, as you move to more senior roles, your success will be directly determined by your ability to be authentic and bring out more of your humane traits to make others feel understood. You can, in fact, turn your feminine leadership traits into a big strength if you know how to polish and utilize them correctly. If you find yourself struggling to overcome toxic work patterns and feel stuck in a mediocre job, know that you are not alone. • Should You Cut Your Rates to Attract New Clients?

Written by: Daniel Mangena, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Absolutely not! Hey everyone, I’m Daniel Mangena — best-selling author, public speaker, Wall St. Journal ‘Master of Success’ yada yada, multi-millionaire, blah blah blah… You can find out more about me and what I do on my website and social media. I don’t want to bore you with a list of credentials here that, to you, will probably seem fairly arbitrary at this point. Suffice it to say; I have helped make a lot of people very rich. Not always in financial terms, but certainly that way too. I give people the tools to create a life of abundance, in the mold of what that looks like to them. I want them to live abundantly, joyfully, and with purpose. Over time I’ve worked with people from all walks of life. I know that a BIG sticking point for many entrepreneurs and small business owners is; what to charge clients! Especially when you’re starting, right? You want to compete, and the only way, it seems, to do that is on price. Start low and work your way up…right? Well… One of my fabulous Micro 2 Million clients raised this question with me recently, on one of our group calls. She asked: “Should we cut our rates during lockdown to attract more business?” Absolutely not, and here’s why: lowering your rates lowers your frequency. You will not attract the clients that you want by doing that. As one of my mentors says, “If you’re going to change your rates - put them up. Always be expanding!” Ultimately you want your business to grow and for you to achieve the life of abundance that you deserve…yes? So, for that to happen, you need to attract the kind of clients who are aligned with that. Have faith that they are out there (they are, trust me). I’m sure you’ve had some experience of this, whether it’s been from putting your business rates down in the past or just reducing the price of something on eBay. Did you get what you wanted out of it, or were you forced into a compromised position of ‘lack’? When we price something, we assign it a value, but we also give it a frequency designed to attract people at the same frequency. Put another way: we wish to attract others who value said good or service to the same degree that we do. So how many times, when you lower the price to a level that you think will appeal to more people, do you get anyone actually willing to pay your new price? Odds are, you get people who want to drive your price down even further and take up more of your time, trying to squeeze the maximum productivity out of you. Before you know it, your new clients are eating up your time, causing you stress and maybe even losing your money/business from other sources. No good. Why does this pattern really happen, though? I’ll tell you why, "Because you made your decision from a space of lack. So lack is what you got back!" Think about it. You wanted to broaden your client base to attract more business and, therefore (presumably) more revenue. But the basis for your whole strategy was lack! “People are struggling right now. They don’t have as much income. I don’t have as much income. So if I bring my prices down in alignment with that, they’ll be able to afford my services again.” You just identified a client base that doesn’t have the means to afford your goods or services, and you plan to target them. What do you think you’ll get back? Now please don’t misunderstand me. I’m not suggesting that the answer is to target the Sultan of Brunei as your sole client and put your hourly rate up to $1M (nice though that would be, I’m sure). Being generous, giving away free resources to people, and creating special offers can play an important role, but it’s all about your intention. Make your intention one of service. I give away lots of free resources (and I have some for you, but more on that later), I have lots of courses and group coaching that I offer at a lower price point, but my intention for all of that is to be of service. My private coaching still starts at $10,000, and even then, I am very selective with who I agree to coach. This is partly because I want to attract clients to my private coaching who are already at a certain level; in service of that end: I make many of my resources available at a relatively affordable price. In effect - I create the clients that I want. I give away these resources for free to raise people to a level at which I can start working with them. I don’t want to attract groups who have nothing invested in my programs, so I help them generate enough money to invest in them. Even if I’m charging a nominal fee, like $20 for a workbook, that attracts the kind of person who wants to invest in their development. The $20 is, frankly, neither here nor there for me. It’s about what it instills in those who buy the program. The value exchange has to take place for both parties to benefit! So what to do when you find yourself in the space of lack energetically? Now it may well be true that you and your regular clients have lost out financially since the start of the COVID pandemic (or rather, as a result of our collective response to it). The first thing is to recognize when you’re in that space. Bring your awareness to the present and how you’re feeling. Then work on connecting to an energetic frequency of abundance. If you are giving of your time and/or services, for cheap or for free, before giving it away, be sure to connect to the feelings/energy of abundance and then bless that gift before you give it away. In other words - don’t give things away out of desperation. Give them a way to be someone who can afford to give them away - the intention of service. When you break everything down: this thing we call ‘time’ is really just part of the cosmic, energetic soup that we’re all a part of. Emotional energy only exists in your body for around 90 seconds at any one time. The rest of it is a choice. Do you choose to hang on to it or let it go? I say, "choose to step into that energetic space of abundance. Really practice getting yourself there every day, whatever it takes. Then ensure that your business decisions are made in that energetic space and don’t court more lack by holding on to the emotional energy associated with lack." Thank you so much for reading this article! As I mentioned earlier, I have many free resources designed to help get the ball rolling for those of you struggling with financial stress. The aim of providing free resources is not to devalue my services but rather to proactively enable you all to become precisely the kinds of clients I want to attract! Now they may well be all you need to get to the level of wealth you desire. If so: great! If not: you’ll be resourced enough to do some higher-level coaching with my team and me. If you’d like access to my free resources page, all you have to do is ask. Please leave a comment down below requesting the link, and we’ll get it to you. Also, if you have any questions on what I’ve covered here or have something else you’d like me to cover in a future article - please drop it in a comment, and I’ll take a look! Till next time! • Ways to Help You Thrive – Not Just Survive

Written by: Charmie Torres, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. With the uncertainty of when the pandemic will end, staying at home most days can take a toll on our mental health. According to the World Health Organization, millions of people across the globe increasingly feel emotionally distressed during these times. Not to mention, no one expected the pandemic to go on for this long, leaving feelings of frustration, helplessness, and isolation in our lives. The disruption in our daily routines meant facing challenging situations each week. Coming up with ways to survive while working from home and attending to personal responsibilities is not an easy task. Continuing to exist this way can be daunting, and barely getting by each week creates an endless cycle of exhaustion. To go one step further than surviving is thriving. It’s a psychological state that allows us to experience resiliency, growth, and even happiness rather than feeling stagnant and helpless. This challenging experience is something we can use as an opportunity to learn from, so let’s explore some helpful tips that can make you thrive, not just survive. Check your surroundings. Who or what do you surround yourself with? Whether online or offline, the consumption of social media, people we hang out with, or conflicting messages from news outlets often affects our mood without warning. Being exposed to negative environments clouds our way of thinking. We lose focus and end up dwelling on them for a long period of time. So, try being more aware of the outlets that don’t benefit you and take simple steps to move away from it. Be watchful of your thoughts and words. Our thoughts often translate to how we feel and, most especially, in our words. Cultivate a more conscious way of thinking and speaking to yourself. A study conducted by the Royal Horticultural Society found that speaking positive words to plants helps them grow faster, so imagine what positive words can do to our own well-being. Self-Care. Contrary to popular belief, practicing self-care covers more than just treating ourselves to an expensive bottle of wine or dinner. It’s a habit that should cover our overall health and wellness. This means sleep, nutrition, and exercise should always be a priority. Research shows a lack of it contributes to stress and unproductivity. It takes just a little self-control to eat right and exercise frequently. Once you’ve created the habit, regular practice comes in easily in the long term. Try neutral thinking. Sometimes automatically worrying about our situation is the first instinct. Try adapting a more neutral mindset to reduce feelings of decline. For example, take the sentence, “I’m struggling right now,” and replace it with a more neutral statement like, “This is a struggle.” Adding a positive connotation after the statement is also valuable, for instance, “This is a struggle, but I will get through it.” By acknowledging and addressing the situation, you are left feeling more focused on your next action. Practice Gratitude. The practice of gratitude each day or week lets us reflect on areas in our lives for which we are thankful for. Saying it out loud or writing it down helps remind us of the good we have in our lives. Focusing on the things we appreciate creates more lasting positive emotions and helps us let go of the negative ones. It takes time and practice to thrive, but once achieved, it changes the way we perceive the world and interact with it. The shift in a more positive way of thinking allows us to be resilient and hopeful in the face of adversity. And so, incorporate these steps into your daily routine to help you do just that. • 3 Ways To Tell Someone You Love You Are Intuitive

Written by: Michele Ogston, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. How do you tell the person who has your heart you are gifted? “Life is a balance between what we can control and what we cannot. I am learning to live between effort and surrender.” — Danielle Orner. I was in love! The best feeling in the whole world! I felt like I had worked so hard and waited so long for this healthy, peaceful, amazing love! The universe had finally rewarded me with this beautiful gift. Yet, along with a rush of all these majestic feelings, there was a little place somewhere inside holding onto the insecurity that maybe, I wasn’t enough. I sat there and wondered, “would he ever really love me if he knew?” For a second, I let this fear take over. I went down the rabbit hole of all the “What if’s…” What if he thinks I’m a freak? What if he thinks I’m crazy? What if he doesn’t love me? Yes, I’m a lightworker, psychic, medium, and empathic, and the list goes on. Telling people this can still be challenging! Learning to surrender to being comfortable with the uncomfortable required me to let go of the imaginary idea of the control I thought I had over my life. It doesn’t matter how long I have known I was intuitive or that I had been studying for a long time. I still wanted approval and to be accepted – I still wanted to be loved in return. How do you tell the person who has your heart you are gifted? Here are 3 ways to tell someone you love you are intuitive: 1. You have to accept YOU first! There’s a reason why this is listed first. People tend to be more accepting if you have accepted yourself first. The reverse is also true. You tend to be more accepting of others than you are of yourself. Self-compassion is key to accepting yourself. They look to you for guidance. If you seem scared or act as if you need their reassurance, then it only confuses them. Our fear of rejection is one of the greatest fears as humans we have. You are a spiritual being having a human experience. Your spirit takes off and soars with the new understanding and knowledge of your gifts while the human being part of you is left to cope. Your mind explores all the what-ifs. “What if people think I’m a freak” “What if they think I’m weird” “What if they think I’m psycho” This is because, on some level, you are still exploring if you think these things too. Try noticing your body language and your actions around the subject of being gifted. Are your shoulders shrugged? Do you talk softly? Do you feel like you have to sneak or hide conversations because you are afraid someone will hear you? A good rule of thumb is: If you’re hiding from everyone, then you’re still hiding from yourself. Here are a few ways to peak out from your hiding place: Try practicing with an acquaintance. The fear of rejection won’t be as strong because you have invested less. Join a support group to surround yourself with other like-minded people. When you feel like you are alone in the world, the fear of rejection is greater. Surrounding yourself with people like you helps you feel like you’re not alone, increases your self-confidence, and provides a safe, supportive environment for you to learn and explore your gifts. Write it down and read it aloud when no one is there. This allows you to take it out of your mind and puts it in front of you. It starts to take a tangible shape when you are by yourself speaking it aloud. This tangible shape helps you to build confidence in what you’re saying. It makes it “real “instead of an idea you are playing within your head. 2. Say it, don’t spray it. Once you are accepting of yourself, you will find that your soul begs you to tell people. Sometimes you want to shout it from the mountain tops. However, you don’t have to tell everyone, especially in the beginning. Accepting yourself is a practice. Be discerning with who you let see your soul as you are still trying it on for size. In my experience, when you are ready to share with someone you love, the best way to say it is short and sweet. Then, hold the space for a response. Sometimes people don’t know what to do with the information. Sometimes it’s overwhelming or scary. Sometimes, people need time. Try to go into the situation not being attached to the outcome. I know this is easier said than done, but you being you is a must for any relationship to have a chance to succeed. Many intuitive or empaths find themselves in relationships that don’t serve them because they haven’t learned how to let their light shine. An intuitive or empaths fear of being a misfit stems all the way back to childhood. You can only keep your light dimmed for so long before it starts to peak through. Direct honesty is the best approach. Having said that, here are a few things NOT to do unless asked: Do not give them a bunch of books or articles to read. Only if someone asks you to learn more can you direct them to more information? Do not over-explain yourself. Have a statement that you have practiced ready to go. Make it short and to the point. Present it in a natural tone and of your natural energy. The less you make a big deal about, the less it will be a big deal. Do not make them try to understand. Remember, your goal is to be you. It is up to them how much they want to learn. The more you have to convince someone, the more it is a sign that this might not be the ideal relationship for your soul to be free. Do not spy on them. This is a very important part of being in any relationship as an intuitive. You have to allow the ones you love the freedom to be on their own journey – even if you know something. Until they are ready to share, it is not yours. This is the number one complaint I have gotten from partners of intuitives. 3. Practice patience. When you feel like you have a calling for something greater than yourself, you don’t go in the direction you’ve been. You head in the direction you were meant to be. Keep moving forward. You have shared and held space. Being vulnerable with the person you love creates a special kind of bond. Experiencing their acceptance brings a sense of peace and connection obtained from revealing your true self. Allow them the time they need to understand what this means about you and the nature of your relationship. What you will find, in most cases, is that the fear you had was bigger than their response. To some, it will not be a big deal. You will tell them, and you will move on quickly. To others, they might need some patience to understand you because they want to know everything about you. Your job is to surrender to who you are. Be truthful, confident, and open about yourself. Be all the love you embody. You are not a freak. You are not a psycho, and You ARE love. • It’s Okay to Feel Hard Emotions

Written by: Nhan Phan, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. When faced with difficult emotions and thoughts, what do I do? Shut myself off from those emotions? Feel? Express them? I used to think that I should just stay positive, look for what’s good in a given situation. As Jay Shetty said, “One of the elements of a positive attitude is a real confidence in your ability to adapt to whatever circumstances present themselves.” While it’s good to have this positive attitude, I’ve learned that it’s okay and important to feel the hard things to learn how to deal with them. Feelings are temporary, and they will become lighter over time if we don’t resist or try to avoid them. So to overcome them, we have to learn to be with them, feel the hard things. As humans, we tend to move away from painful experiences, difficult emotions. Shutting ourselves off from those emotions is a very natural thing to do. But it’s okay to feel them. It’s part of being alive, being human. So it’s not about ignoring or trying to control those hard feelings and thoughts. They are part of who we are, and so it’s important to notice and acknowledge them to be then able to overcome them. While some will be valid, some will be patterns ingrained in our minds that we’ve been trying to get rid of. And you can become more aware of them, observe them for what they are - just thoughts and emotions - without any judgment, and choose for yourself to move on from them. It’s important to be kind to yourself when you become aware of such emotions and thoughts, welcome them with compassion and kindness. What would you tell your best friend going through the same experience? Show yourself the same kindness and love. As Kristin Neff, a pioneer in the field of self-compassion research, noted in her book, “self-kindness allows us to feel safe as we respond to painful experiences, so that we are no longer operating from a place of fear—and once we let go of insecurity we can pursue our dreams with the confidence needed actually to achieve them.” Once you acknowledge those thoughts and emotions, ask yourself whether they align with your truth, values, and goals? If not, should you react to them, give them control over you? Or can you choose to move on from those emotions and let go of them? There is often this misconception that if you’re working in this field, helping others overcome negative thoughts and emotions, then everything is always bright and shiny in your life. The truth is, we all have our bad days. We all have negative thoughts. Things don’t always go the way we imagined them. So do I. I go through a bad patch in life sometimes. I have negative thoughts too. I feel fearful at times. There are days I feel low. The difference is - I’ve learned to notice it, to catch myself in those instances, and I can make a choice. To continue feeling this way or to shift it into something positive? There are also days when you just want to feel it. There are days when I actually want to feel miserable. If you feel that it’s necessary, it’s okay to do it too. I have those days, my potato couch days. You know, when sofa and Netflix are my best friends, just letting my emotions run their course, have their say. Just not letting it last for too long… not for days, weeks or months. Why would you choose to stay in this state if it’s counterproductive and to stop you from moving in the right direction in life? How can you start building awareness around your emotions and thoughts? Check-in with yourself during the day to see what emotions you are feeling. Observe what thoughts are going through your head at any point, and do this without any judgment or self-criticism - you are just observing. Try doing this for a week. If it helps, you can write it down every time you notice an emotion or observe a thought. Then look back at your notes at the end of the week and see if there are any patterns, what you can learn from this. Connect with me on LinkedIn or visit my website for more info! • 7 Reasons Why a Lead Magnet Funnel Makes Selling High-Ticket Offers Easier

Written by: Sunu Philip, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Do you run a coaching business that sells high-ticket offers? It can be a struggle to get consistent leads and sales rolling in month after month. One thing that can help you streamline the process to sell your high-ticket offers easily is setting up a lead magnet funnel. A lead magnet funnel to sell premium packages consists of a series of free lead magnets and email sequences that would attract your ideal client and get them to buy from you. A lead magnet funnel to sell high-end premium offers can include two types of lead magnets: An entry-level lead magnet (like a planner or eBook) A high-value lead magnet (like a training or challenge) It would also require an intricate combination of email sequences which include: Relationship-building emails: To connect with your audience and build their trust. Ascension emails: To move them a step further in the customer journey. Sales emails: To convince them to buy something from you. Now that we’ve defined what a lead magnet funnel is, let’s dive into why a lead magnet funnel makes the process of selling your high-ticket offers easier. 1. Connecting with your ideal client. You won't ask someone to marry you on their first date, will you? You’ll have to go out a couple of times, build a connection and learn to trust each other. All this takes time. Similarly, your ideal client will have to see you a few times before they can connect with you. The time it takes for this process can vary from person to person and industry to industry, but a lead magnet funnel can speed it up. When your audience repeatedly sees the value you provide, they’ll be ready to invest in your high-ticket offer. 2. Creates multiple touchpoints for nurturing. Attracting your ideal client is just the beginning. To build a good relationship, it’s essential to nurture them with regular communication. A lead magnet funnel allows you to do that through the email sequences. Even if someone follows you on social media, email communication is an additional medium to nurture them. When they see you on social media and again see your emails, they recognize the value you provide through your resources. This creates multiple touchpoints to connect with your ideal client and build a stronger relationship so they’ll eventually buy from you. 3. Social media is changing. If there’s one thing we know for sure in the online business realm, it’s that social media is always changing. You can’t entirely be sure that what works today will work tomorrow. The rules and algorithms keep changing every day. So, you can’t completely depend on social media to attract new leads, nurture them and convert them into paying clients. When you get people to sign up for your email list, it’s an additional way to communicate with them. And bonus, it’s something you own. So, you have more control over it than a social media platform owned by a business conglomerate. 4. Allows you to serve from your heart. Setting up a lead magnet funnel allows you to serve your people from your heart. You’re creating a system that not just brings in sales but allows you to become a changemaker in your circle of influence. Every time you create a free resource, share a story, or divulge valuable tips, you are unconditionally giving your audience something that can positively impact their life or business. You are becoming a changemaker, not just to your audience but the society at large. 5. Grants you freedom. Having a lead magnet funnel all set up gives you a whole lot of freedom. It works behind the scenes 24/7, freeing up your mind to focus on other matters essential to your business. It gives you freedom of time since you don’t have to be present for the system to work. It gives you freedom from the stress and overwhelm that can plague you if you’re not getting sufficient leads or sales each month. You don’t have to worry about hitting your numbers. You know there’s a system in place that keeps attracting new leads, nurturing them, and pitching them your high-ticket offer. 6. It g ives you room to diversify your business. If you’re thinking of diversifying your business and putting out more offers, a lead magnet funnel will make this a breeze. Since you already have a lead magnet funnel in place for one high-ticket offer, you can easily duplicate the system and adapt it to meet your business's changing needs. Even if you want to pivot and change the direction of your business, you can always count on the email list you’ve built to give you a good head start. 7. Easy to analyze and tweak. All good businesses have to adapt and grow to accommodate the changing needs of their audience. Every component of the lead magnet funnel can be analyzed to check if it’s working as expected or not. You can do split testing to check which version gets more conversions. You can check the reports to see what’s working and what’s not. If a particular lead magnet isn’t getting enough sign-ups or a specific email sequence isn’t getting many conversions, you can make a note of it and plan to upgrade it. You can easily tweak some elements of the system as required to better serve your audience. You don’t have to entirely overhaul the system unless that’s what you want. Just a few minor changes here and there can make a huge difference in the number of leads and sales the funnel brings in. A lead magnet funnel is the best way to sell your high-ticket offers simply because it works. It’s a foolproof system to attract new leads with valuable resources, connect with your ideal client, get them interested in what you have to offer, and then convince them to buy from you. And the best part is that, once it's all set up, it works relentlessly in the background, requiring little attention from you to keep it going. Marika Nikkinen is a leader in inner guidance, self-leadership, and spiritual activation. After a series of hardships left her with poor mental and physical health, she decided to recover and find her own way in life. Connecting with her inner guidance, she found her strategies and she has since dedicated her career to helping her clients to unleash their inner power and to trust their inner guidance in life. With her company Conscious Leadership Coaching, she has been coaching organizations and leaders on value and purpose-based, conscious leadership in Europe and in Africa. Currently, she is focusing on working with her private clients worldwide and writing her first book on her journey and its learnings. Her mission: Every life matters. Who is Marika? I am an adventure and fun-loving human being, curious about the world, life, cultures, and people. I am a Finn, living in Stockholm, Sweden, with my husband and our two sons. I love to wander in nature, dance, laugh, cook and do martial arts and yoga. Our bodies and souls are meant to move. I am a combination of my inner child, responsible parent, and a wild spirit. Professionally I have been in a massive transformation for years, breaking out from the traditional business career to pursue my soul path, my task in this world. I am a certified leadership and life coach, a chakrapath yoga teacher, and a lightworker. I help my clients connect with their authentic selves, listen to their intuition and inner guidance, and dare them to make their life choices based on who they really are and what they truly want. What has brought you here? I was diagnosed with burnout and depression in 2015. A few months later, my older son got sick with type 1. diabetes. It was a massive shock, and it took a year to balance the situation. After a year from that, my mother was diagnosed with cancer, and after nine months of palliative care, she passed away. I spend three years of my life thinking about whether I will survive or die in the grief, chronicle fatigue, panic disorder, or the hatred and anger I had inside of myself. I was mentally and physically in bad shape. All that happened made me think about how I want to live my life and guided me to make choices to become healthier one day at a time. I chose the light over the darkness. I understood that all that happened was a sign that I needed to make changes in my life. A huge turning point was to sign in for Co-Active Coach training and pursue my dream of becoming a professional coach. It changed my life. What are your driving forces in life? They are curiosity, love, joy, and courage. I am not afraid of the things I love. I take on chances without overthinking. I see life as an adventure, where I get to choose what, when, where, and with whom. All the people I have met, I have worked with, and of course, my friends and family have brought me where I am today. They are the source of my endless love. What is your gift to the world? My gift to the world is enabling connection . I am highly intuitive, sensing the emotions of the people around me. This helps me to guide my clients to connect with themselves and to explore their emotional field. When we work with our emotional energy, we can also begin sensing other people's energies and become more conscious about emotions overall. This enables creating deep, intimate connections. Being the Connector hasn't always been easy, but I have learned to understand and manage my energy over the years. I used to absorb too much of others' feelings and ended up drained and exhausted. I was about to quit my work as a team coach and trainer before figuring out how to strengthen my energetic aura and make my boundaries clear and robust. There is a way for every empath and highly sensitive person to manage their energy balance, giving, and receiving. What do you see is happening in the world? We are too much divided and against each other. Fear has taken over us instead of love. I believe our world is on the verge of a vast spiritual awakening, and the level of consciousness is hugely expanding. All this will result in a more equal, human, balanced, and better world for all of us. Who should work with you and why? My ideal client is a person who is ready to explore their inner world and do the work with themselves. Coaching is work with emotions, and sometimes it might be hard at points to face the feelings within. But that's what moves us forward in our lives. I work with clients who: struggle with their life balance, want to clarify and work towards their goals, and are seeking spiritual growth. Coaching changes lives, and I have never worked with clients who haven't made their way towards their goals or achieved them. It is a deep journey into ourselves. All I have experienced in life and, of course, my professional background makes me a great coach. I have never received as much gratitude and thanks from my clients as I have as a coach. It is an occupation with greater meaning, and I love it. What's next for you? I am concentrating on building my coaching business and writing my first book, with the working title "From Karma to Dharma - My Journey Recovering From Burnout - 12 Steps In Healing Yourself. " I will be writing my articles for Brainz Magazine on the topics included in the book, so stay tuned if you want to read more from me. I also see myself living in a beautiful old villa on velvety green hills with a sea view somewhere in the Mediterranean in few years. I will continue writing, doing the coaching work, running workshops, and organizing well-being retreats for my clients who want to deepen the connection with themselves and have some more balance and clarity in their lives. What are your top 3 tips on personal growth for our readers? Inhale and exhale deeply; become present to yourself, to your emotions, to your energy. • Improve Your Success Mindset – Utilize the Power of the Law of Attraction

Written by: Moira Hutchison, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. The Law of Attraction works, but there are several ways you could be reducing its positive influence. If you are not getting the results you aspire to; there is a chance that you are making one or more missteps with this Universal Law. A slight adjustment might be all that is necessary to get the most from your mindset. The Law of Attraction is like a recipe. If you skip an ingredient or use the wrong amount, you may not be satisfied with the outcome. Make the Law of Attraction work for you with these strategies: 1. Be consistent. It is important to apply the Law of Attraction regularly. Think of it as exercise. You will not get good results from an exercise program if you only exercise once. Daily effort is important if you want to see results. 2. Be action-oriented. One of the most common errors in applying the Law of Attraction is the belief that you do not have to take any action to create results. This could not be further from the truth. Whatever it is that you desire will not just materialize out of thin air. Instead, believe and recognize that the Law of Attraction is bringing opportunities to you. It is your job to recognize them and make the most of them. Act when opportunities present themselves. 3. Be comfortable with what you want to attract. You must be completely comfortable with the thing, person, or situation that you are endeavoring to attract into your life. If you have any reservations or doubts, you will be unsuccessful. Visualize being successful in your efforts and notice how you feel. Do you have any uncertainties? If so, that is a sign that you need to acknowledge and release the resistance you feel. Visualize doing what needs to be done to be successful. How does that feel? Are you totally comfortable with the steps you must take? If not, you have some work to do. 4. Make use of the time right before falling asleep and immediately upon waking up. These are the two most effective times to program your subconscious and reach out to the universe. Create a habit of visualizing success at these times. Keep it totally positive and focus on feeling joyful, accomplished, confident, happy, excited, and proud of yourself. 5. Avoid worrying about ‘how’ you will accomplish something. Become focused and clear upon ‘what’ you desire. Avoid stressing over how you will make it happen. There are many ways to achieve something. You do not have to worry about it. The right opportunity will present itself when the timing is right. Worrying about how you will accomplish something shows doubt. It is a negative outlook. This does not work well with the Law of Attraction. 6. Be grateful for what you already have. It is possible to strive for more and still be grateful for what you have. Allow yourself to feel appreciative each day. Make a list every morning and evening. It can be a mental list or a written list. See how many things you can come up with. 7. Follow your intuition. Your intuition is part of the process. If you have a sudden urge to call someone, pick up the phone. Do you feel the need to turn left instead of right on the way home? Do it. You are so much wiser than you realize. Give your wisdom the benefit of the doubt. The Law of Attraction works well if you do your part. Some of the biggest mistakes are failure to take steps when an opportunity presents itself, consistency, and comfort with the desired outcome. Remember that you cannot attract what you are not attracted to. You also cannot attract anything except chaos and confusion if you are not willing to take steps toward your best success and accomplishments!!
