- Aloneness vs. Loneliness
Written by: Dr. Gigi Arnaud, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Woo-hoo! We’re just about finished with this era of the COVID pandemic. This is considered a short time for a pandemic (or plague) in the long span of history. For those who have struggled and lost loved ones, the time cannot be measured nor the pain of this period diminished. We have experienced a sense of ‘isolation’ with the whole world shutting down and staying in. For some, this gave us the time and space to introspect and transition to new ways of thinking and living. Though this may feel scary and even overwhelming to some, i.e., those of us who have experienced some trauma, this part of it is not necessarily a bad thing. For many, this isolation increased the feelings of ‘loneliness’ and/or ‘aloneness.’ Let’s differentiate between the two. Here are some dictionary definitions: Aloneness. Having no one else present, on one’s own, without others’ help or participation. (I’m adding to this: emotional participation too). Loneliness. Sadness because one has no company; isolation; fact of being without companions. Aloneness. It seems to be more of an internal experience. It can be your soul’s feeling of ‘being alone’ in the world, often due to childhood trauma. Loneliness. It seems to be more physical; many of us have been living alone and working alone. The feeling of loneliness, being without companions or people, often affects extroverted folks more than introverts. There is a subtle yet immense difference between the two words and concepts. We often use these words interchangeably, but they are not the same. Words are so important: the ones we use with others, personally and professionally, and mostly, the words we say to ourselves. Our subconscious minds listen and believe what we say to ourselves and act accordingly. So, observing, becoming aware of, and, if necessary, changing these words can have a great positive impact on our lives. We all know that life is made of ups and downs. As human beings, it is ‘normal’ to feel lonely at times. Loneliness is part of the human experience and can happen, whether surrounded by people or just with your spouse or partner or friend. As a matter of fact, you can sometimes feel the loneliest and the most alone when you’re with someone you love, and they’re there (physically) but not really there (emotionally). If you are constantly and consistently feeling ‘alone,’ then it may be worth getting professional help (i.e., mindset/trauma life coach, therapist) to understand your particular view of the world better. Opportunities Besides feeling loneliness and aloneness, this time of chaos, challenge, and Covid, gave us lots of time to be with ourselves. Whether you’re aware of it or not, it offered us one or many opportunities to make changes, personal and professional, that you may not have been quite ready to make; for your healing, progress, growth, developing new inner strengths, or to change a job, career, location or lifestyle. I know this transformation is doable because I did it myself. It took me some time to overcome my fears and to be at peace with my decision to leave my 30 plus year career as a dentist, then to go full force toward a career I’ve been doing part-time for the last 17 years and have loved, as a Mindset Life coach and Hypnotherapist. Having to stay at home through much of Covid gave me the time to sit and ‘listen’ to my inner voice and then take the time to make a decision I was sure of in my body, mind, and soul. Making the decision was the hard part. Then, I had to learn how to establish and run a new and different type of business, which included learning lots of technology (which I’m admittedly less than talented at), a new way of working, and a very different lifestyle. I researched and worked to get my finances to proceed with reason and pragmatism after deciding with my heart and gut (intuition) first. It seems that those who are more extroverted had a more difficult time with loneliness during the pandemic than those who are more introverted. This makes sense and must be considered. Here’s a bit about the introvert----ambivert----extrovert spectrum of behavior. Introvert, Ambivert, Extrovert: To transform your thinking, which also transforms your behaviors, actions, and consequently, your life, whether during a pandemic or at any other time, you must first do the inner work of introspection, self-assessment, and self-evaluation. This inner work can be challenging, especially for those who prefer not to spend too much time alone, those on the extrovert side of the spectrum of an introvert, ambivert, and extrovert. Introverts get their energy and recharge from being alone, whereas extroverts get their energy from being with and around others. So, these extroverts had a long time period (more than a year) when they weren’t able to ‘recharge’ fully by going out and/or socializing with others. This caused loneliness and, for many, some added anxiety and/or depression too. Most people are a mixture of both (ambivert); most of us lie more on one side of this spectrum than the other. For example, you may like working alone, need time for yourself, perhaps reading, writing, painting, etc., but still want and like to be connected to others (introvert with some extroverted behaviors). It’s important to note that you may ‘look like’ one and actually be more of the other. I know this to be true. I really like being with and meeting people and socializing but in smaller, more intimate groups. I need my time and space alone to recalibrate my mind and body. I enjoy being my own boss and many ‘solitary’ activities like reading, painting, dancing to music at home. So, I am more of an introvert but look and seem more like an extrovert. I am not shy. I love meeting and speaking with new people, and I’m curious about their lives and stories. Wherever you lie on this spectrum, know that you can learn to respond (in a positive way) to this time by yourself, rather than react to your feelings and emotions alone. You do not have control of external circumstances, but you can control your responses to them. You want to stay in the responsive mode, your peaceful, home mode, rather than the reactive mode (which keeps your nervous system activated and on alert and keeps you anxious). No matter if you’re an introvert, ambivert, or extrovert, your goal here is to discover (or re-discover) who you authentically are and how you function optimally. Then, you can take action. If you’re an introvert, you may want to take walks to see and connect with nature and your own inner voice and intuition. If you’re an extrovert, you may want to do the same and maybe, add more time speaking to friends, family, colleagues, either in person, online, or on the phone. Solutions for loneliness: Go out and talk to others. I do this all the time. I live in NYC and often go to cafes in my area, drink some good coffee, read a book or meet and chat with friends….or strangers. Volunteer. This allows you to connect with others, make new friends and gain a sense of community while also helping others, which gives you a sense of meaning, which makes sense; all humans need to belong and have a sense of purpose. Volunteering also keeps you engaged and stimulated, which counteracts the cognitive decline, such as memory loss, associated with loneliness. Join a group or club, i.e., Meetup. There are so many possibilities, both in-person and online. Practice self-care, i.e., exercise, sunshine, a healthy diet, sleep quality, etc. Social media (for some). While social media may be good for some to beat loneliness, for others, it can have the opposite effect and make them feel even lonelier and more isolated. Solutions for Aloneness: Aloneness may have to do with your view of the world and may very well be related to trauma. If you’re feeling very alone, please reach out. For both loneliness and aloneness: Be curious about what’s out there, who’s out there, who you can meet, what you can do, and most important of all, what you can learn and how you can grow. There’s a larger world to discover, in person or online. Make full use of your fabulous imagination, creativity, and mind, too. Life can sometimes be tough, but it’s also big and beautiful. It’s now a great time to regain your sense of joie de vivre (zest for life)! - An Exclusive Interview with Clarity & Alignment Coach Martina Krulakova
MartinaK is a Clarity Alignment Coach helping you become an inspiring leader and master of life you love. Her constant search for happiness and money left her broke, miserable and lonely in a foreign country. That was when she realized that real transformation starts within, so she mastered the formula to fulfillment. Her search has turned into a mission. Today she is helping other women find their unique path and fulfilling careers they love and get handsomely paid for it by working with individuals, small groups, and running powerful workshops. She teaches the importance of self-awareness, mastering yourself and your inner world as the core solution to most problems. Because it all starts with you! Who is Martina? Martina is a woman, coach, educator, and visionary for all who are not afraid to dream big and take action to make their reality. I come from Slovakia originally, but currently, I am living in London – the city I fell in love with. Literally, it was love at first sight. This city can be also harsh and lonely for many people, however, I see this city as a perfect place for anyone who is not afraid to be curious, who loves to explore new possibilities, try different options, and meet interesting people from the whole world. For me, it’s also the city where I found my peace. It’s the place I was able to re-discover myself again and grow to another level and work on my dreams. My big family with other 4 siblings are all back at home which doesn’t make many things easy for me, because they mean everything to me but luckily, technology makes connections easier and also give me a reason to travel as often as I can since travel is another love of mine. That’s also one of the reasons how I ended up here in London – for me this city is a sample, a little taster to meet the world in one city. You can find anything here. Literally. What do you do for your client? I am a clarity and alignment coach working with women at crossroads and helping them to find their unique career path, fulfilling career, and life to love. My clients find missing fulfillment, meaning, purpose, and love for what they are doing by connecting their special gifts and mission to serve others. In addition, when working with my clients and help them to harness their inner power I am also empowering women to master their life in other areas of life by bringing a holistic approach and connect dots, missing links for them. What are clarity and alignment coaching about? Clarity helps people to see and love their past as it happened with no baggage, regrets, or any other disempowering emotions attached. By healing all those painful emotions they can live in the present moment and love what is while having a clear and empowering vision of the future they want to create and live. Alignment is about mastering the inner world – learning to listen to your body, connect with your intuition, what feedback are emotions giving you as well as bring to peace any unbalanced, limiting perspectives to harmony with one - your mind, body, and your soul calling. Alignment is about having and living in peace within yourself. It’s about falling in love with yourself for who you are, others, and the whole world around you as it is. Can you tell me more about your approach? I love working with individuals in person and/or online because it allows me to connect with them on a deeper level as well as deliver exactly what they need for them to get wanted results. Also, I am running workshops for small groups of people. Again, with me it’s all about deeper connection and understanding them where they are, being able to dive deep into their soul calling and listen to who they are, where they are coming from, learning about their point of view. No matter how many people I meet or work with, there is always their unique approach which fascinates me, their special experiences to learn from, and especially to discover the unique message each of us has and bring it out to the surface in a clear package right in front of them. Being able to inspire and empower them, help them to bring the clarity from all the mess they are experiencing into a clear picture and experience a big AHA-moments with them or that huge relief of all heaviness they have been carrying on for years, is the most amazing reward I could ever wish for. I just can't enough of it and always hungry for more. That’s my driver, especially when my message and clarity of alignment formula is clearly delivered for them and they can take it further and apply it in any situation. Because they will need it. Let’s be honest. Life is a learning, growing cycle. No matter how successful, strong, or how many people are around you, there always will be new challenges – that’s how we grow. So having that formula for yourself and being ready to embrace it when it’s necessary, is the most empowering tool and learning lesson I would love to share with as many people as possible. Because it all starts with you! Isn’t that beautiful? To become the better version of yourself? What programs do you offer? I offer a clarity coaching program which is a game-changer for people. I am sharing and learning how to find their unique fulfilling formula. It’s a result of my transformation journey when I was desperate to find that „special“ thing for myself. This program was also created out of frustration since I was struggling to find key information although I was actively looking for it and spending money and time on many other programs. We are programmed from childhood what we „should“ do but hardly anyone is teaching us to be real you! Who is the real you? That’s a great question. We have so many identities, roles in this life and carry on so many different masks. Most of the time we have no idea who is the real you. That’s the part of the growing journey, awakening to your soul calling, allowing yourself to do more of what you love doing. But to give you a short answer: I believe that behind all those limiting thoughts and programmed perspectives is someone loving, inspired, and joyful version of yourself with unlimited potential. Who should hire/work with you? I work mostly with women since I am a woman myself and understand how their body/mind works. Especially, I am helping those who are at crossroads in their career, their work, or their life in general. If you are a woman who is experiencing confusion, frustration, resentment, feeling stuck, empty, or “wandering” what’s next for you and you want to experience the fullness of life, want to be in control of your life, make something meaningful and can’t wait to show your great gifts, I am a perfect solution for you. What is your big goal? Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? I want to bring the importance of self-awareness to our education system. I want to bring the tolerance of our difference back to people. I want to spread the acceptance of our uniqueness as a personal strength and not as a weakness. I am already on a mission to raise conscious awareness through individuals and create impactful changes in our lives by returning to harmony with who we are, back to the harmony of nature and the universe. All these big changes start with each individual and the choices we make each day. The same applies to me too – the more I am true to myself, the more people I will impact. Because it all starts with me! How do I get started? Simple way - book your clarity call here so that I have an understanding of where you are right now, what you are looking for, and whether we are the perfect fit for each other. If not, I will recommend you to either someone else or any other resources that I know would be the best fit for you. Book a meeting here! - How to Create a Body in Perfect Harmony
Written by: Heidi Jennings, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. When I think of harmony, it evokes feelings of ease and flow and effortlessness. Imagine if each of us could experience a life of harmony and how different our world could be. Harmony, though, is not a word associated with modern-day life. We live in a world of disharmony, generated by individuals feeling disconnected and dissociated from the core of who we are designed to be; vital and vibrant beings. As I drive past my local hospital, I fight the urge to march into the waiting room and shout, “No! Don’t go into that doctor’s office! Come with me, and I will show you another way!” I don’t, of course, and I know many of those people will eventually end up in my office. They come to me feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and in utter despair. “Why should I trust you,” they ask, “when I’ve been let down by so many doctors and specialists and have spent thousands of dollars getting nowhere?” Because I tell them, conventional medicine is not designed to make you well. It’s a system designed to hand you a diagnosis and prolong your life with medication, not one to investigate the true cause of your suffering. The difference between that system and mine, I tell them, is that I will address the root cause of your symptoms, give you the tools you need to allow your body to heal, and ultimately empower you to put your hands back on the steering wheel of your life. In other words, I will show you how to live inside a body in perfect harmony. “Let’s get started,” they say, and six weeks later, they glide out of my office with a glowing smile and a newfound reason for living. Welcome to the holistic approach to healing. Each of us is born into an amazing, intelligent machine whose most primal desire is to thrive. Every single day, our wonderful vessels fight thousands of silent battles to keep us healthy and shielded from harm without even being asked. Even when we abuse them with junk food and toxins or wear them down with too much stress, broken trust, or a broken heart, they continue to carry out their thankless task of keeping us alive. What a tragedy that we are a society of sick, sad, and sluggish individuals who take for granted this incredible ally that only wants us to be well. Most of us don’t appreciate our health until it is threatened or lost. I certainly didn’t, but it was my plunge to rock bottom and the realization that conventional medicine couldn’t help me that ended up being my greatest blessing. I then discovered the five instruments of healing to create a body in harmony that I can now share with the world. Each instrument plays its part in the orchestra, synchronizing to create a beautiful symphony. If one instrument misses a beat, the orchestra can’t perform at its best. The human body is no different; every part must work in unity for optimal wellbeing. This is the very definition of holistic health. Contrary to what conventional medicine will have us believe, there is a straightforward solution to your chronic pain, anxiety, depression, stubborn body fat, menopause symptoms, autoimmune dysfunction, and sleep issues. There is a simple fix for your feelings of overwhelm, desperate tiredness, and emotional eating. The only thing standing between you and vibrant health is the correct knowledge and guidance about what instruments you need and how to optimize your orchestra. Give your body the whole, nutrient-dense foods it craves, full of vitamins, minerals, and goodness. Remove the excess sugar, fat, gluten, preservatives, additives, artificial flavorings, and colorings. Allow every cell to soak up the sublime nourishment it desperately needs and watch the magic unfold before your eyes. Providing the correct nutrition sets the tone for optimal health. Stop slogging yourself senselessly at the gym. If your body is under stress, give the high-intensity workouts a miss. These will only push you further into survival mode, resulting in fat storage and the wearing down of an already exhausted adrenal system. Instead, go for a gentle walk or do some light yoga. Allow your body to rest and recover and know that it’s safe. Slow down the tempo, soften the beat, and find the exercise that’s right for you. Devour all the fresh fruits and vegetables you can find and flood your gut with potent probiotics. Allow these beneficial bugs to break down, digest, and absorb your food so your digestive system can work the way nature intended. The gut-brain connection is incredibly strong, so give yourself the gift of a healthy gut, and you will transform your state of mind. Keep your gut health in tune and listen as the body starts to hum. Set yourself up with a healthy pre-bed routine and recalibrate your sleep. Your body desperately needs restful sleep every night to perform seamlessly during the day. Give your liver the chance to detox, flush and clean the body. There’s nothing better than waking up fully refreshed, ready to bounce out of bed and face the day. Watch your world transform as you experience the melodic bliss of deep sleep. Learn to love life again by dealing with the root cause of your stress. Whether that’s a toxic relationship, soul-destroying job, or lousy lifestyle choice, choose to remove yourself from what’s hurting you and shift your focus to what lights you up. Calmly navigating life’s difficulties and managing your stress will set the cadence for a positive and fulfilling life. So now, with your instruments finely tuned and ready to play, the orchestra can assemble, and the performance can begin. Sit back, watch and listen as the rest of your life unfolds, one of ease, flow, and effortlessness inside a body in perfect harmony. - 3-Key Things to do to Attract your Dream Clients — And 3 Things you Didn’t Know you were Doing
Written by: Amanda Rose, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. The 3-Key Things that will attract your dream clients like a moth-to-a-flame... Know your Audience A lack of specificity in content is a big issue most entrepreneurs have. The problem is this: they don’t want to OR don’t know how to niche down. Let us put this in context: Imagine you show up to a dinner party and your mom & dad are there, your best friend from first grade, your spouse, your kids, the college roommate, your great-grandmother, your neighbor, your coach, your business partner, your fitness trainer, one of your college professors, your ex; they are all seated around the table. To “keep the peace” with such a diverse crowd, you can only allow a sliver of your personality to shine through, and you’re forced to find what tiny bit of common ground would be shared by these extremely different individuals. However, if instead you were just going out and grabbing coffee with your best friend, you know you could let lose, talk about whatever your heart desired, and you’d know exactly what your friend loved to talk about. It would be not only an easy conversation, but it would also have depth and meaning to it. Most entrepreneurs address the entire internet when they create content. Much like the dinner party scenario, they are careful about what they say to fear offending anyone. Unfortunately, in their efforts to please everyone, they go unheard and ignored by all because their message lacks substance. By clarifying who your ideal client is, your content starts to shift and take shape. Just like the coffee shop scenario, you’re no longer censored, and you can speak freely, easily attracting the audience you desire (while simultaneously repelling the nightmare clients! Double win!) The key here is understanding how to define your niche ( https://amanda-rose.mykajabi.com/marketing-ba-bling ) AKA dream clients so that you can speak to them! Authenticity This may be a terrifying prospect for anyone building a business online: getting really honest, raw, and open with your audience. Being authentic feels like showing up naked for all to see, opening yourself to potential ridicule or judgment. The internet trolls certainly make this feat feel all the more intimidating. Yet, it’s when we show up fully embracing who we are, owning our past, our mistakes, and our triumphs, that we can create real connections with others. It’s in the overcoming that we become relatable. By allowing others to see who we really are, we allow kindred spirits to find us. Sell them what they need, give them what they want You must always remember that we don’t purchase logically. We purchase emotionally! You’ve likely witnessed this before. That friend who has a whack load of debt to pay off but cannot help but purchase her 10th Black Cashmere Sweater. Or someone who desperately needs a new car, every time they start the engine, they do a little prayer to the car gods hoping it will start, but they end up paying for a tropical vacation instead. When it comes to our buying decisions, our hearts lead us to make the ultimate choice. Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs’ marketing plans lean into trying to convince the prospect “why” it’s a “smart” and “logical” choice to make that purchase. They lack the emotional potency to draw the interest of the prospect. What does your niche really want? Talk about that, and watch the clients flock towards you, cash in hand! The 3-Things That Are Repelling Your Dream Clients: 1. Lack of Consistency. When you do not show up consistently in your business (or if you are only working behind the scenes and no one sees that), it sends a subconscious message to any followers they should purchase from you. You might disappear on them. People will not part with their money if they feel there’s a chance that they won’t be getting what they pay for. When you have consistency in your business, you build momentum, not only in getting your workload done but in gaining positive public opinion. Consistency helps build your brand authority. 2. The wrong intentions. Networking and relationship building are integral aspects of business and sales. It’s too bad that many entrepreneurs assume that cold-pitching or focusing on how to force-fit their sales pitch into a conversation with a new connection is how to build relationships. No one wants to be sold to. People can feel the pitch coming before it happens. That’s why so many people get ignored in Direct Messaging; the prospect can feel that they’re being targeted, and they don’t bother responding. By dropping the sales-persona and just being a human being, sales happen naturally. 3. Faking it 'til you make it. While “Fake it until you make it,” may be a popular adage, it certainly is doing you no favors within your business. It is easy to think that people will be attracted to flashy marketing and an image of success, but the truth is, we’re attracted to what’s real . We want a deeper connection. The days of slick ads are dead, and what people really want is to feel heard and understood. Be honest and open with your audience (remember, authenticity!). - Tips for Gardens Great and Small
Written by: Tripp Butler, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Like the fabled Victory Gardens of WWII before them, urban and backyard vegetable gardens became a vital source of food and purpose for many people last year when world events threw supply chains into disarray. A year has passed, but interest in do-it-yourself food production has remained, and more and more DIYer's are getting into growing their own crops. Your ability to grow fruits, vegetables, and various herbs at home depend primarily on just three things: climate zone, space available, and your level of commitment. With plenty of warm days ahead, it's not too late to get started on a garden of your own. If you're limited to an indoor garden, consider hearty options like avocados, carrots, microgreens, lemons, and scallions. You'll need some large, south-facing windows to have a successful garden. If that's not an option, grow lights, and hydroponic kits have become a popular option in recent years as they've become more and more affordable. For outdoor gardening, the first step is to check local zoning ordinances and/or homeowner's association rules. Then determine your plant hardiness zone to help narrow in on recommended plants for your area. Like anything else, having a solid plan in place is critical. When it comes to plot size, people tend to envision lush rows of crops and tilled soils, producing plant after plant of vegetable-producing crops. If you're lucky enough to have such ample space at home, you're limited only by the time and effort you want to expend. If space is scarce, never fear. Urban gardeners have developed innovative ways to garden in small spaces. Go vertical: If space is limited, consider a garden wall. You can utilize vertical space by attaching planters to exterior walls that get lots of sun exposure. Don't have an appropriate wall? You can find prebuilt grow towers' with a quick internet search or build your own DIY version using a large plastic drum, some PVC pipe, and a drill. Garden in other containers: Use containers of all sorts on your porch, balcony, or patio to maximize your growing space, including buckets, planter boxes, hanging baskets, pots, and barrels. Create a rooftop garden: Utilize the space that most of us never even think about, your rooftop! If you have a flat space on your roof and a safe way to access it, consider designating that area as your growing space. Just make sure to consult a professional to ensure that your roof can carry the load. If gardening at home just isn't an option, check to see a community garden in your area. Community gardens can be a way to share in the work, build community bonds and enable others to participate. With the right equipment and some sweat equity, any community can turn a vacant lot into a food-producing zone. However you decide to grow your home-garden, once you've tasted your very first home-grown tomato or finished your first batch of pesto made from your home-grown basil, you'll know the hard work was worth it! Let's Talk About Buyer "Love Letters"With low inventory driving up home prices around the country, bidding wars, over-the-top cash offers, and waived inspections have become frustratingly commonplace. In these booming markets, buyers often need to act fast and stretch their budget for a shot at their dream (or dreamy-enough-for-now) home. But if you're like many buyers and backing up the Brink's truck for a 2 bed, 1 bath simply isn't an option. You'll need to get creative to gain an edge. It's time to talk about the "love letter." The personal letter from a potential buyer to a seller has become an increasingly popular tactic in recent years. Sellers often have an emotional connection to their home, and getting a heartfelt letter explaining why their home would mean so much to you might make the difference in them selecting your offer over a comparable one. If you're in the market to buy right now and are looking for a way to tip the scales in your favor, check out these love letter tips: Don't use a template. The most important thing you can do if you're going to write a seller a letter is to speak from the heart. If you use a template, you found online or fill your letter with tired cliches. Your love letter will probably backfire. Sellers (and their agents) know what their home is worth, so don't insult them by trying to pull a fast one. The goal is to appeal to the seller's emotional attachment to their property, so meet them where they are and be yourself. Build a connection If at all possible, try to identify and highlight a connection you have with the seller. Are the sellers moving because their kids just left the nest? Let them know you want to raise your rugrats there. Does the home have a fenced-in yard because the seller needed a play-place for their pups? Make sure to mention how much your pets will love the space. The same goes for shared hobbies, community interests, or anything else that lets the seller know you'll appreciate the home and area as they did. Again, just make sure to be genuine. Don't bark up the wrong tree. If the person selling a home is an investor or builder, you can probably skip the letter altogether. They are trying to maximize profit and won't have an emotional attachment to the property. You'll have to offer them more money or a fast closing to grab their attention. Recognize their work If you notice the sellers have made improvements in their home, like remodeling their kitchen, feel free to mention that. People put a lot of time, money, and work into their homes, and it feels good to know that other people notice that. Even if you already have remodeling plans in mind, don't mention them. It's better for a seller to imagine that you'll enjoy the spaces like they did. Don't be desperate. If you come across as too needy or desperate, that's not going to appeal to a seller. Keep things positive, and don't put the seller in an uncomfortable position. You want to make them feel happy about passing their home on to people who will enjoy it the way they did. Keep it short and ask for an edit. You don't need to write an autobiography. You just need a couple of paragraphs. You want to convey why the house is meaningful to you, but you also need to make sure the recipient actually reads it. Finally, make sure to have any letter reviewed by your agent to make sure you're hitting the right notes. Remember, even a perfect letter won't win you an offer on its own, but it's a useful tool that can help tip the scales in your favor. If the seller decides between your offer and another comparable one, a love letter might give you the edge. Questions? - From Expat Partner to Expat CEO — The Journey!
Written by: Andrea Cristancho, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. We left South Africa in the middle of Summer and landed in Switzerland in the middle of winter. Short cold days awaited, and no amount of hot chocolate seemed enough to cure the blues of missing our old home while getting used to our new home country. “I’ve been an Expat all my adult life, so I’m sure I’ll love it here too,” I kept on telling myself. But this time, it was different. Something shifted inside of me. In South Africa, I had my small business running strong when I had to close it down because it was time to move again. After I managed to find the way to exist and do my thing in South Africa, I once again had to start from scratch. Absolutely, every single move builds resilience, but this time I was struggling “just” being the ex-pat partner (something that didn’t happen before). I could go for full-time employment and deposit my child at daycare or try to do my own thing, but I hadn’t found that thing yet. And, in all honesty, I had a lot going on to add separation anxiety. The sense of frustration for my lack of career continuity kicked in while I was sinking into my own excuses. I kept on telling myself, “I earned a good income before, and now I feel financially dependent.” For women like us, that feeling alone can pulverize us in seconds! I had time on my hands and spent a good portion getting familiar with the city with my baby girl while we played in every single park that crossed our path. But in my mind, I could not stop “pushing myself” forward instead of allowing the natural “pull” of life to engage and take me to my next adventure. To say I felt lonely without support or community is an understatement. Until one day, I woke up and decided I did not want to waste this time. I wanted to get on and enjoy life in Switzerland. That day I declared the pity fest was over! I focused on two things: my mindset and nailing my next business idea. You see, if you’re an Expat partner, chances are you relate to this feeling, and I’m here to tell you how I turned from Expat partner to Expat CEO and how I help my clients today do the same. And if you’re not an Expat partner but you’re still reading, it’s because you know someone who’s in this position, or perhaps you’ve felt like this your whole life without being an Expat. The slogan was coined by pure organic magic, divine flow of life if you wish. After starting my coaching business in Switzerland - yes, I said no to employment. I took the path of entrepreneurship again -, I kept on attracting Expat women into my coaching business as a holistic business coach. But I started targeting female entrepreneurs. My clients were women sitting all over the globe, living life on their own terms as Expats with their families. Being Expatriates was our common ground! Months of trial and error, testing and tweaking, learning, and pivoting naturally shedding light on me constantly requesting feedback and paying attention. The day came when I felt called to niche down in my business, and in hindsight, all along, I’ve been serving a specific community, so it was time to give it a name. I first opened my free public Facebook group - The Expat Women in Business - and then repackaged all my business knowledge into programs and digital assets. One after the other, my clients proved to me that the change was a wise choice, and then the interest of co-authoring a book arose, and I ended up on a solo ride giving birth to my book The Expat Infopreneur. I wrote in record time and turned it into an interactive experience with the business guide I wish I had had to help me design my career and finances with location independence. This book went on to open new genuine conversations with other Expat communities established for years but that I didn’t know of across the globe using the mighty power of online networking. If you have been following me for a while, you know that I’m a big proponent of niching down in your business, so for me, this was my act of drinking my own Kool-Aid. Now, what’s so special about Expats? Allow me to share. We are a global community of people whose lives have changed after living abroad in an Expat assignment, no matter if we’re currently abroad or have returned to our home country. That’s what’s so special. For some, it’s been a lifetime experience. For some others, a couple of years. No matter the length, once you’re an Expat, your mentality, your lifestyle changes, and when it comes to entrepreneurship, the way you look at business changes too. How? Expatriates seek emotional stability within, nourish themselves from life experiences, and see markets globally as opportunities. We are great networkers by default and have become resourceful even in a foreign language. Now let’s apply all these skills to your own business or career. An Expat is resilient, creative, knowledgeable, and holds dear to freedom. These are qualities invested in an entrepreneur per se and ready to grow her business. And, now, what happens when the move comes and you have to start all over again as it happened to me? Here’s where I want to plant my seed. If you have read this far, this is what you’ve been waiting for. The answer is to design a location-independent business. It can be inserted in any market due to its nature to grow and carry on scaling with potential new local opportunities everywhere you go. Examples of such businesses are: teachers, experts, artists, wellness services providers, coaches, consultants, and the list goes on in this direction. As long as you have gathered enough expertise in your field and you’re ready to embark on becoming the CEO of your endeavors, I can help you get there with one out of these options, my interactive book - The Expat Infopreneur. My program/community Flagship Ready, The Course that brings you from idea to MVP in 5 weeks of focused work surrounded by like-minded peers, and my 1:1 offer - Business ready, The Experience where I get in there with you to get the work done. As a trained coach, I can not end this note before providing some value to self-assess your next step. So let me ask you: Why is it important to you to become the CEO of your business? As someone in business or has had an international career already, what do you need to do first to give yourself permission to make this next step? What if the fear of failing in your own business were no longer important to you? What information are you using to make this decision? What is the outcome, or let me say it better, the legacy you want to create? What’s the first or next step you need to take now? What do you need to let go of to make this successful? My wish is that our paths cross to shorten the gap from idea to minimum viable product when you decide to go into the market. My hope is that by sharing my years of business experience as a serial international entrepreneur, we shorten your way to success. No matter which way you choose to move forward now, know that I’m holding you accountable no matter what. Today I celebrate your entrepreneurial spirit and toast to your success. - How to Define What Success Looks like For Yourself
Written by: Lori Clark, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. What is success? Is it being an executive at a prestigious company? Is it being an award-winning celebrity? Is it being well known internationally for your work and contributions to people? What is success? Many people look at the people that have money, power, recognition and automatically define that as success. However, what they fail to realize is that every person alive can achieve success no matter what they do. Success for one person could mean they have achieved all of their personal goals. Or success could be landing your dream job. What about taking car e of your family? People don’t really label that as success. But a person could be struggling at work, yet managing to take care of their whole family day by day is their personal success. What about hitting your weight goal? Is that not success? Over time we’ve grown to look at status and money when in reality, success is very personal and different for everyone. I’d say, when determining success for yourself, start with your personal desires and goals. Look at the plan you have and evaluate the steps you will take. Once you reach your desires and goals, you can define that as your personal success. Some people may say, “well, what if things fall through?” Well, sometimes things don’t always go as planned or as we think they should. And that’s okay. Life will always continue with new opportunities and new possibilities. Our personal world is always changing. One month success for you could be getting up on time because you once struggled with it. Three months down the road, success for you could be eating healthier and maintaining it. We have to get to a place where we are not comparing ourselves to what we think our life should be or feel like, but rather embrace our heart's desires and accept what is and what isn’t for us and our personal journey. Once we get to that place, we will see that life isn’t as hard or as stressful as we think. Being completely happy isn’t as far out of our grasp as we think. And most importantly, doing what’s best for ourselves doesn’t seem as self-centered as people may believe. Good luck on your journey to success. - Embracing Space to Contemplate in a Noisy Society
Written by: Kristie Kennedy, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Genius demands space to express. Growth demands space to expand. Greatness demands space to evolve. Without space, you will suffocate. In my young adult years, I rarely took time to deeply consider why I was moving at break-neck speed. One day in my senior year of college, sitting in the back of the class, the professor quoted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He said, “Nothing pains some people more than having to think.” Hmmm, I will never forget this pivotal moment in time because that was the catalyst to contemplative living. “Each life needs its own quiet place” — Melody Beattie. During my childhood, we spent most of our days using the power of imagination to create moments that I still vividly remember. In today’s society, there is a strong undercurrent of constant chaos and global contention pulling our attention. How many times have you reached for your mobile device unintentionally in the past hour? It is the same autopilot response that leads us to open the refrigerator multiple times as if something new will appear. The daily discipline of sitting in solitude is an invitation to wander in a whole new world of enlightenment, enrichment, and excitement. “I remember to breathe throughout the day. I remind myself that I can choose peace, no matter what is going on around me. Whenever I desire, I can retreat to that quiet place within simply by closing my eyes.” — Doreen Virtue As a former workaholic who is extremely achievement-oriented and purpose-driven, I understand the value of high-caliber self-care. I would often ask the question, “Is it possible to be successful and healthy?” As leaders in our respective industries, the demands are unceasing. To persevere under pressure and operate at peak levels during adverse circumstances, a pause from the cause is paramount. There will come a day when you are standing at your own crossroads of change and recognize the dire need to do something drastically different. “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” — Anais Nin When you are blazing on the success speedway, it may feel overwhelming to make any adjustments in fear of crashing into a wall. We can navigate through this crowded place together. The first step is to find out what makes sitting alone with your thoughts uncomfortable? It is hard to conquer that which we are unwilling to confront. Am I avoiding any unresolved pain that I’ve experienced in the past? Do I fear missing out on a self-imposed timeline in comparison to the lives of others? Will I have to face a truth that I have chosen to suppress? "When thinking about your life remember this: no amount of guilt can change the past and no amount of anxiety can change the future." — Unknown Step two: Create a list of benefits to creating space to contemplate. The moment you begin practicing a new way of being, a certain level of resistance is normal. Understanding why the change is important will ground you during times of uncertainty and dwindling resolve. 1) The beauty of having space to contemplate provides freedom to express myself apart from public opinion. 2) The joy of having space to contemplate allows time to explore beneath the abysmal depths of my soul to hear the whispers buried in the noise. 3) The power of having space to contemplate infuses strength into a weary mind until it emerges fortified. 4) The richness of having space to contemplate is actualized when empathy flows freely from a heart full of compassion and generosity. 5) The delight of having space to contemplate is celebrated when every breath is a step towards a heightened awareness of becoming one’s best self. “Being silent for me doesn't require being in a quiet place and it doesn’t mean not saying words. It means, "Receiving in a balanced, non-combative way what is happening." With or without words, the hope of my heart is that it will be able to relax and acknowledge the truth of my situation with compassion.” — Sylvia Boorstein Step three: Decide to live by design and not default. Consider each of the responsibilities you are currently managing. Are they in alignment with your top five values and highest priorities? If not, decide to eliminate the non-essentials draining your energy and taking you away from what matters most. I would love to hear your thoughts. Complete this sentence and share with me what feels most challenging at this time in your life. What I need NOW is LESS and MORE . “It's a quiet place, so people talk quietly," said Naoko. She made a neat pile of fish bones at the edge of her plate and dabbed at her mouth with a handkerchief. "There's no need to raise your voice here. You don't have to convince anybody of anything, and you don't have to attract anyone's attention.” — Haruki Murakami Want more from Kristie? Follow her on Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin. - 3 Ways to Shift From Pain to Power
Written by: Renate Prandl, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Have you ever been in pain, any kind of pain: physical, emotional, financial? I guess the answer is yes. Would you like to get out of pain and step into your power? Probably the answer is yes, too. Before we go any further, let me clarify what kind of power we are talking about. It’s not the power to control someone or something. I’m talking about the power to make informed decisions and live a Life by Design, a life on your own terms. Making those informed decisions and taking action isn't always easy, especially when we are hurting, doubting ourselves, and fearing. Yet it is possible, and the most successful people know how to deal with these challenges and how to rise above them. The top 3% of the world’s most successful high achievers - CEOs, entrepreneurs, athletes, thought leaders - are incredibly disciplined and committed to step into their power as a leader and good human being. This is not taught in school nor university, so let me draw back the curtain and reveal 3 ways to make this shift possible in a doable, holistic, and sustainable way. See, there are mainly 2 types of clients who come to seek help from me: They are in physical pain, have “tried everything” to deal with back pain, neck pain, limitations after a stroke, not an optimal movement in sports, not the highest level of performance as singers or musicians, and they want to experience change and improvement using concepts of the Feldenkrais(R) Method. They are not performing as their very best self in business and life in general, and they want to experience High Performance(™) Coaching. They need more Clarity, Energy, Courage, Productivity, or Influence to step into their power as leaders. The interesting thing is that no matter where you are, at what level you are, whether you are male or female, young or old, my system using the “Power of 3” works all the time. It helps you get from Pain2Power in your business, relationships, health, and fitness. If you make all the moves. There are 3 ways, 3 keys, to get out of pain, turn those obstacles into stepping stones, step into your power and potentially live a more integrated, balanced, vibrant life. You need all 3 for lasting change. Are you ready for the reveal of what is required? Shift your mindset, Clarify your mission, Design and do the moves. Let me share some doable and highly effective tools on how you can get started today. Language. Whenever you catch yourself saying or thinking, “I can’t do it,” “I don’t want to have this pain,” stop. All your brain hears is negative words with negative vibrations, making sure to attract more of it. What is it you actually want to have? Clarify and Re-Frame Belief System. When you feel that you “have tried everything,” “that works for him/her, but not for me,” “you don’t understand my situation,” or “easier said than done,” stop. Ask yourself questions going deeper and deeper, layer by layer, looking at some underlying doubts, fears, past experiences, trauma. If you want lasting change, change needs to come from within. If you want to be received and perceived as a powerful leader, you need to do the inner work. Can you do it on your own? Yes, of course, you can. However, having an experienced coach or mentor in your corner helps shorten the 10, 15, or even 20-year learning curve, potentially. High-Performance Power questions to ask yourself: a. What else is there I haven’t tried or have given up after say, 1 week? b. What would it take to change? What would I need to stop doing and start doing right now so that it would work for me? c. What could I do to make it easier, and where could I start? Make sure you give yourself sufficient time and space and write down what comes to mind (high-performance power secret - wink wink. Deep Dive. If you implement what I shared above, consistently, you will see changes in your Mindset (from closed to a more open mindset), your Mission (why it’s important to step up as the powerful leader you are), and the Moves will be easier and become second nature. However, if you want more, more successful habits, more powerful behavior, more impact, more growth, more freedom, you may appreciate the following concepts based on high performance. To focus on your Strengths and not your limitations, you may ask yourself: a. What are my strengths in my career, business, family, and other relationships? b. Which ones should I develop right now? If all of them are important, pick one and proceed. c. What would happen or change if I lived more from these strengths? d. Why is this change important? Write down what comes to mind. Have a journal and track your progress if you wish. You have to understand that these are powerful questions and my students invest a lot going through this hardcore level of coaching. We go really deep in the sessions as High-Performance Coaching is like “life coaching on steroids” (without the drugs), and we hone in on where to make the shift to move forward to a more useful future outcome. All this may sound simple and doable, right? Why? Because I have chunked it down for easy consumption. I hope you appreciate this. You are welcome. I want you to know that you have a superpower, the Power of Choice. You can focus so much on the pain that it will be your constant companion, or you can focus on possibilities and a different outcome. The more importance you give a thought, and the longer you focus on it with importance, the more “real” it becomes in your mind. Which one will you choose? You can choose to stay in pain, or you can step into your power to make informed decisions, to shift your Mindset from closed to open, to have a strong Mission to stay on track when it gets difficult, and to have someone in your corner supporting you make all the Moves. Moves to have more freedom, more money, joy, meaningful relationships, more of everything that matters to you, potentially, and live a Life by Design. - Decluttering for Zero Living 8.0
Written by: Bernadette Bruckner, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise . I don’t know about you, but I grew up with parents who were war and post-war children. We even had a bathtub in our attic (in case of bad times?… I don’t know!) or my granny’s clothes who had already passed away more than ten years before (just in case of… I don’t know either!). What we really need for daily living! How we can declutter easily on all levels. Are you also one of those people who keep everything as you never know if you might need it again? Did I uncover your guilty secret? Some call it being messy, others hoarding, and still, others have an outlook like my mum as a post-war child who experienced having nothing and believed we might need everything again one day as we never know what will happen! I guess that is one of many reasons why I love decluttering, including fasting, is to get clear again about what’s important in life. Do you know what’s important in your life? Before Covid19? Today? Tomorrow? No? Then…it’s now time, more than ever! Covid19 can be seen as a huge chance for re-loading your life from scratch and begin maybe completely new, decluttering from the inside|out – yes INSIDE|OUT is the key! But how? Zero-waste, zero living, zero excuses – can that be fun? One day, I decided to reduce my living to nearly zero to discover what I truly needed in my life to be happy and content. I not only worked on my personality, healing my soul through my own coaching and therapy style as well as focusing on my nutrition, changing my diet to healthy living. For many years now, I have been reducing and decluttering big time, and, YES, I love it! One day all my belongings fit in a car. Yes, in a normal car! Does that sound weird? 😊 My biggest challenge will always be books—not clothes, shoes or bags, BUT books! I was happy, content, in my best health and body shape ever, and my life was FLOWING”. I even reduced my ecological footprint as I used public transportation as much as possible, lived in Airbnb accommodation when I was abroad, and did food sharing and bought food that would have been thrown away. I loved it as I met new people who had an alternative perception of living and became aligned with mother earth for maximum sustainability. So, can zero wasting be fun? I say yes, yes, yes! An extra plus is meeting new, like-minded people who are aligned with the same values and visions as you. Today, I buy second-hand clothes for work, have my own diet involving cooking organic food from local farmers, and have no cheating days anymore or any eating challenges. I have no “need” to buy stuff I do not need or buy things for image. I also have new friends who I love having around, nurturing more awareness in the world for a better life and healthy earth. So, now I ask you, how would it be living with zero waste and decluttering as much as possible? You might ask yourself now: What has business got to do with it? A lot… how do you want your business to function? By destroying mother earth? Not me! If our planet is healthy, we are all healthy! It’s that simple! When I declutter myself inside|out and understand that we only have one planet to live on, we appreciate that living WITH the earth is our only choice! When we do not take care of ourselves, including allowing our business to become sustainable, how can we take care of our clients, family, and mother earth? We can’t, not at all! Or? Let’s face it, 90% of companies (and nearly all big companies) do not work for, or with, mother earth but instead exploit it and other people! More than ever, we witness burnout, depression, domestic violence, corruption, and diseases correlated with bad nutrition, no exercise, and no mental challenge! Does that sound healthy? Not for me, and we are not even talking about Covid19 here. In my best years (my 20-30’s), I had a wow business life which was fast lane living with tons of traveling, successful business work opportunities, friends, and many party times! And yet, I became severely suicidal, had three burnouts, ate bad food, drank excess alcohol. Do I want to pretend this time did not happen? No. Was it healthy? No, and I nearly died four times! My ‘AHA’ moment came after realizing that fasting, decluttering, and slowing down are KEYS for becoming unstoppable on all levels. I even got faster at fulfilling my dreams with my healthy body, mind and soul being aligned with mother earth and with my family valuing both my and their time. I grew very clear about what I love to do and became certain about why I wanted to create my legacy WITH mother earth. More than ever, today, slow down and go inside to become unstoppable outside by taking care of yourself first so you can nurture others, including mother earth! My approach to business changed hugely by including mother earth and how I could serve her from the inside|out! Being “clean” inside my body also changed my behavior around food, exercise, nurturing friendships, and addressing what is important for me. Saying “NO” is also something that evolved due to decluttering and fasting. How much are you worth to yourself to take care of you, your body, AND our planet while still being healthy, vital, and doing what you love to do? Are you ready to declutter? Are you ready to fast? Let’s go…! P.S.: I am planning a 7-day challenge on my Facebook page in case a decluttering party would be a benefit for you! 😊 For more information, follow me on Facebook , Instagram and visit my web site ! How does she do all this and at the same time succeed in her beautiful wellbeing projects for those around her? Let me tell you her secret! She is a go-getter, acting on what she sees as the pressing needs in her community both locally and globally. With integrity, she follows through and does what she says. This is the key to living out your dreams peeps. Do what you say. This is a very powerful and potent principle. To get this inside your psyche, consider this. If you tell yourself you will do something and do it, hey presto, you believe yourself! If you continually say to yourself and /or others, you will do such and such, and you never succeed... likely, you are not doing the small stuff. Your own self starts to doubt your own word. The subconscious is a very powerful human tool for manifesting what you create in life. It doesn't know the difference between what you imagine and what is real. Put simply, it gets messages. So the type and quality of your messages are all important. Be clear in your thinking and in what you imagine for yourself. Act with integrity. This is what the law of attraction is all about. It's what underlies manifesting your dreams and more. Do you know what happened to the person who got everything they ever wanted? They lived happily ever after! So can you. Bless. - How Leslie Klatt is Shaking up Online Entrepreneurship Business Models with the One Launch Method
Written by: Leslie Klatt, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. You have a program or service that you offer to businesses that will increase their income, their productivity and help them grow. So, what do you do? You offer value, of course. How do you do that? You work for people for free! How have you chosen to do this thus far? With 5-day challenges? Free webinars? And what is the purpose of the free value? To be able to pitch your offer at the end. Now they see how amazing you are and all of the skills and knowledge that you possess. How could they say no? So it looks a lot like this… You come up with a really catchy name, the hook. You create branding for the challenge that will get all the attention. Run ads or post everywhere on social media every single day, several times a day, so that you can get enough people in the free challenge so that your 8%-10% conversion rate will get you some sales in the end. You have a team and trained them up. You have a funnel built, a messaging system. You schedule your live training sessions every day. You have a workbook designed and published. You have your 3-4 posts a day written and scheduled, you know… to keep engagement up. You are ready to go! Every single day, for the next 9 days (because a 5-day challenge doesn’t end there. You have to pretend like it is the only chance to hire you and work with you for 4 days after the challenge and offer more free bonus sessions to entice people to sign up for what you’re offering too. I could go on, but I’ll save you the exhaustion. If you think it’s exhausting to read this, imagine being in it, taking all of this free action hoping for some return in your investments. The best part is, in a few weeks, you get to do it all over again. The worst part is, you’re going to be tweaking, redoing, sourcing new leads, and still trying to show up 100% for the clients that joined your program(s), but you’re launching again and pouring your energy into recruiting new clients. This is a cycle, and it’s one that many online service providers and the ever-growing industry of coaching have fallen into. It’s draining and pulls inspired entrepreneurs away from their purpose and into being team managers, trainers, and employees to their own companies. How Leslie Saw This. “In my 15 years working in Marketing and as a Project Manager, I’ve never had more than one kick-off meeting, I’ve never marketed and launched more than one grand opening for the same company, same offer, in the same location.” This makes complete sense. Leslie noted that whenever she speaks with entrepreneurs at networking events or on consultation calls, she hears that a lot, “People tend to get a light bulb moment where they realize how complicated they’ve been making their business ventures.” “I’ve always had an aversion to backtracking, and the re-launch of a product or service every 4-5 weeks doesn’t feel very forward-moving to me. The online marketing world has taken a turn to popularity and hustle instead of impacting their target markets. The difference is you go from capturing every moment and thought that you have and sharing it with others to show them that they can live like you in a “keep up with the Jones’” kind of mentality to effectively marketing the product, service, programs you offer to allow them to reach their own life and business goals.” How does the combination of Marketing and Project Management make your One Launch Method different from the rest? When entrepreneurs hear “launch,” they envision themselves spending day and night on the computer, creating sales pages, working behind the scenes, and exhausting themselves. What we do in the One Launch Method are constant momentum building and forward motion. As a project manager, we have the map that brings the project, no matter what it is, from point A to point B, and it’s all growth and development from the time the kickoff meeting ends until the project is complete. My clients don’t sit stagnant, working on sales pages until their launch date. We make it a party the entire time. They land speaking gigs. They’re collaborating with others in their industry. They’re building their audience and hosting their own parade, which I call “Fanfare” in my book. When you have these fun, celebratory events happening, when most launch systems have people quietly working all hours of the night to have everything set up, it feels less like work and more like building your dreams in fun, empowering, confident, and belief building way. The project management systems that we have set up like a framework keep the focus on specific tasks each week so that you aren’t overwhelmed and so that you don’t miss a step when launch time comes. How long does it usually take your clients to build this fanfare and audience while celebrating and showing up in a big way? Every business is unique, but the basic framework is set up to go from zero to launch and scale in 12 weeks. The difference there, when you see people telling you to launch in a weekend is that you have a real plan to reach your goals, you are building an audience that is chomping at the bit to get their hands on your product or service, you have built credibility and a reputation in the industry, and you will launch it once and grow your business from there. There won’t be any pressure sales tactics, there is not a relaunch in a few weeks, you have launched, and you did it right, you weren’t offering discounts, you aren’t threatening people to buy before you have to raise the price, you’re not completely exhausted and riding a stress roller coaster. You’re an entrepreneur, making those million-dollar decisions. Tips for launching your product/program/service: Focus on one thing. You shouldn’t have many irons in the fire. The “I’m busier than you” badge isn’t a badge of honor. Know your offer, focus on it and make it your world. You should be committed to it if you expect your clients to. Clarity in your messaging. There is no room for confusion. You have to be able to explain what you do to a customs agent, a seasoned professional in your industry, and a 3-year-old. If you can only spit out an elevator pitch when someone asks you what you do in your business, you’ll need some work here. Positioning is key. If you show up as a side hustle and a start-up time and time again, asking your potential clients for advice and input in your area of expertise, you are showing up small and will be stuck in that cycle until you decide enough is enough. Being a good host. Knowing your client’s experience working with you, from their first encounter to experience your product or service, will give you the confidence to put yourself out there. Make space for your results. Make room in your schedule to support what you want to achieve and believe it will happen. Don’t overfill your schedule so that your whole life gets turned upside down when clients start flowing to you. Making space for your results will allow your growth and success to come to you seamlessly.
