Is imposter syndrome even a real condition? Maybe you’ve experienced the automatic negative thoughts that tell you that you are not smart enough, not experienced enough, or not good enough. Maybe you’re in an environment where others don’t look like you or think like you. Maybe you’re engaging with people who are very accomplished in their areas of expertise and you start comparing yourself to them. The term “imposter syndrome” appears to affect even the most accomplished individuals. It’s not a medical condition. So what is this feeling of angst and unworthiness, and what can be done about it?

The word “imposter” is also “I M Poster”. Imagine a poster with two versions of you, the one with low energy, feelings of angst, or unworthiness, and the other version of you doing a superhero pose with abundant energy, feeling confident and worthy. Here are five steps to support you in shedding the mask of the imposter and embracing the confident, authentic version of you.
1. Accept uncertainty and anxiety as normal with a growth mindset
Anyone learning something new or being in a new environment will experience feelings of uncertainty and anxiety. This is normal. It is important to learn new things throughout your life for brain health. Learning new things helps you develop resiliency and resourcefulness. So yes, feelings of uncertainty and anxiety may arise more often when you embrace a growth mindset. Transform the uncertainty into curiosity. Transform the anxiety into excitement. You don’t have to be perfect. Embrace a beginner’s mindset. Remember, a toddler who falls over when learning to walk doesn’t give up.
2. Discover your authentic gifts
You will meet new people who are talented in their areas of expertise. Learn from them and see how your skills complement theirs. Tell the comparison thief that robs you of your joy to zip it. Chi kung exercises to empower the bladder will transform any jealousy into progress for your own life. Focus on discovering the authentic gifts inherent in your being that you are meant to share with the world.
Your worth is not defined by external achievements. You are already worthy of the best that life and love have to offer.
3. Live a healthy lifestyle
Live a healthy lifestyle. Your brain is involved in everything you do. Start treating it right. Be aware of what you are consuming. More negative inputs, more negativity shows up. More positive inputs, more positivity shows up. Mental hygiene starts with a healthy mental diet.
Your body is a temple. Treat it with respect. The Creator of All gave you a powerful human operating system, your Divine Heart intelligence, mind intelligence, and body intelligence. The greatest wealth is your health, in body, mind, and spirit.
Practice excellent discernment for what will give you the energy you need to accomplish your goals in life. If you feel sluggish, eat more high vibrational foods like vegetables and fruit. Eat from the colors of the rainbow. If you feel overwhelmed by conflicting health advice, then go within to determine what is best for you. Methods to do this include muscle testing to communicate with your subconscious or breathing into your divine heart to connect with your intuition.
4. Upgrade your subconscious beliefs
Toss out any outdated subconscious limiting beliefs. Make sure your subconscious is aligned with positive core beliefs. A PSYCH-K® balance will efficiently and effectively upgrade any outdated subconscious programs. With a balance you will achieve a whole brain state where you’ll be able to transform stressful and traumatic events into opportunities for spiritual and psychological growth. It will feel like a burden of heavy energy has been lifted. You will feel more resourceful when all parts of your brain are functioning. It is like the roadblock has been cleared, and you are free to reclaim more joy in your life.
5. Be the CEO of your life
You are in charge of your own life. If you don’t like it, it is up to you to make the changes necessary to create the life you want. Let go of the need for a paternal or maternal figurehead to give you validation or to tell you how to live or to tell you that you are living a good life.
You are a sovereign being having a human experience. Maybe you wanted to experience fear based emotions for a period of time. If you let those fear based emotions define you, then it’s time to shed them and come back into balance. Love based emotions and fear based emotions are what make you human. If they are out of balance, then it may be time to incorporate chi kung, breath work, or other mindfulness practices to balance the emotions held in your organs.
Be the Chief Executive Officer of your life. Be the Chief Education Officer of your life. Be the Chief Entertainment Officer of your life. When you break free from the addiction to suffering, you will live an amazing life.
At the end of your life
Imagine at the end of your life you are to do a life review. You are to leave all baggage behind. In the cleansing process, the unhealthy ego is washed away. You will not be asked about the money you accumulated. You will not be asked about any titles you accumulated. You will not be asked about whose validation you received. You will be asked if you achieved the goals you set out to achieve in this lifetime.
Maybe they are psychological or spiritual growth goals. Maybe they are about being the true authentic you. Your being, vibrational energetic state, has an impact on those around you and your environment. Maybe you were meant to increase your vibrational frequency to help everyone around you. Loving more authentically and laughing more jovially changes conditions and situations. You are more powerful than you realize.
What about the imposter syndrome?
The term “imposter syndrome” may go the way of the term “bicycle face” when a band of enlightened, courageous, and bold leaders head up large corporations and dismantle vestiges of structural inequality.
In the meantime, embrace your humanity. Accept uncertainty and anxiety as normal with a growth mindset. Discover your authentic gifts. Live a healthy lifestyle. Upgrade your conscious and subconscious beliefs. Be the CEO of your life. Be the poster child for living an amazing life.
