After 2 years in a pandemic, political unrest, inflation, and general uncertainty, we are all feeling exhausted. The realization that things will never get back to normal has created mental, emotional, and physical stress, and overwhelm in much of society.

We have faced so many changes, challenges, and fears that have taken a toll on our mental and physical health. How can we reset and bounce back from the toll these last 2 years has taken on our energy?

The answers lie in the little things. After being stuck in the cycle of overwhelm and survival, it's important to set realistic goals that you can achieve with consistency. If you haven't had consistent routines in a long time, don't try to incorporate 10 new habits all at once. You'll be setting yourself up to fail. You’ll want to start with small, consistent, habits that focus on improving your physical and mental energy and grow from there.

Do one thing consistently for a week or two. Set small, attainable goals that you can build on and watch how they add up to consistent results. It's no secret that movement creates energy and combats exhaustion.

Here are 3 things to consider when jumpstarting physical movement and energy into your life.

1. Spend 10-15 minutes every morning on yourself.

You don't need to start with a full on intense 60-minute cardio workout every day. Wake up 10-15 minutes earlier than usual and find an area in your home where you can stretch, move, bounce, twist, whatever. Personally, I chose a mini trampoline to bounce on for 15 minutes in the morning. It’s fun and gets my circulation going in the mornings. The point is to find what works for you and just start.

2. Make it Fun

If you dread it, it is not going to happen. At least not consistently. When finding a movement for Your 10-15 minute morning routine, think of having fun first. You want to feel great and have something to look forward to. For me, it’s all in the music that I bounce to. I can go back to the music that got me moving in high school and college and have fun with it. It is my happy time where no one is around to make fun of my "oldies" music.

3. Consistency

A consistent daily practice, regardless of how small, is more valuable than long, intense workouts. Find a little space in your day to create something special for yourself with movement and fun.

One of my favorite quotes is "Time comes to those who make it, not to those who try to find it." ~Jen Sincero

Making the time to care for yourself is incredibly valuable. Make the time to generate energy daily to jumpstart your mind and body. Make this the year you move out of exhaustion and overwhelm and into fun and energy. Have some fun with your fitness.

Consumer Loans in the Euro Area Remain More Than Twice as Expensive as Mortgages — and the Baltics Stand Out

Fresh figures from the European Central Bank (ECB) underline a growing divide between everyday borrowing and housing finance across Europe.
