Counsellor & Grief Coach

Heather is a grief specialist, counsellor, author, and facilitator dedicated to supporting people navigating loss and bereavement. With experience working with clients worldwide, she is passionate about helping people better understand grief, emotional resilience, and the lasting impact loss can have across different stages of life. After losing both parents at a young age she uses a combination of her lived experience and professional knowledge to help & support others through bereavement.

She is the author of Guided by Grief, a compassionate and practical exploration of grief designed to help readers feel less alone in their experiences and more confident in navigating life after loss. Alongside their writing, Heather provides therapeutic support and delivers specialist workshops and training for counsellors, schools, organisations, and workplaces. Her work focuses on equipping professionals with practical tools & greater confidence to support people who are grieving.

Known for creating safe, honest, and engaging conversations around grief, Heather combines professional expertise with warmth and accessibility. Her writing and teaching explore themes including bereavement, child development, trauma-informed practice, emotional wellbeing, psychology and compassionate communication and education.

Through their workshops, articles, counselling work, psychoeducation and book, Heather aims to challenge stigma around grief and encourage more open, informed conversations about loss. Her mission is to help individuals feel less alone and organisations feel better equipped to respond to grief with empathy, understanding, and care.
