- Know Who You Are so You Can Fully Stand in your Power
Written by: Eugenia Oganova, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. I believe that you are a sovereign, powerful individual who is destined to create incredible success in your spiritual coaching or healing business. I believe that if you are consistently applying not only the correct business strategy but also correct-for-you energetics – your success is inevitable! My client just said on the call to me: “Eugenia, this was so profound! Block I had for my whole life… you just dismantled it by how you explained it! You are exceptional at this – and I don’t say this lightly, I am really blown away.” This is what I do for my clients. I show them who they really are so they can fully stand in their power. I am not here to rescue my clients, not to be someone who fixes you. I am here to guide you, to remind you that you are a sovereign human being filled with wisdom and capable of making your own decisions; and I’m going to give you recommendations based on the years of my own expertise and share my clairvoyant insight with you, but in the end, it is you who are directing your process. This is how you become truly empowered. This is how you can clearly articulate the value of the work that you bring to this world. This is how you claim the leadership role you always knew you were meant for! I guide you into the most intimate understanding of your nature – so that you can rearrange your whole business around your unique Soul Design. I support you in activating your discernment so that you have clarity on what you need the most and how to make decisions about it. I help you weather the “periods of darkness” when you are Quantum-leaping into your next level so that you do not sabotage your process and remain kind to yourself. And here is one more belief of mine: My clients do not have to feel good all the time. I know this sounds crazy for many people-pleasing coaches, but in my view, my clients are powerful individuals who deserve to have their own journey. And this means that there are going to be incredible ups and also some “dark periods” – and that is ok. I am not here to make it all good all the time – that is a utopian idea that is often sold to people to seduce them into investing in a program. In truth, you will have your ups and downs – and my job as a coach is to help you handle these periods of darkness correctly instead of taking away your lessons. I will always be there for you (my clients often say that I am the best ally to their Higher Self they’ve ever had), but I am not going to rescue you from your own process. In my view, discomfort is a part of the journey. Every time you Quantum-leap, you will have parts of you that won’t fit into the “new you,” and they tend to fight back for survival. This is how we grow as entrepreneurs, as conscious people. You get to have your experience to uncover your strengths, wisdom and activate your own navigation – with my support and guidance, of course! In my view, this is what differentiates a good-enough coach from an exceptional and conscious coach –coach's ability to not only point out the true root of the issue (client’s blind spot) but also to guide them into finding their own solution that feels empowering while feeling fully supported by their coach in their process. I always say that when you think of investing in coaching, don’t go for a coach that will tell you how you should be according to them– hire a coach that helps you be more you! Entrepreneurship is a process – a journey. If you are one of these humans who know that this is what you are meant for –to build your coaching or healing business into a multi-6-figure or 7-figure empire through which you can lead and influence people who are divinely ordained to come into your circle and learn from you, and do it all your way. Then my conscious F.U.T.U.R.E. Mastermind is for you. My Conscious F.U.T.U.R.E. Mastermind is for you if : You are a coach in the spiritual or personal transformation niche with “intangible” results, You have paying clients, but you haven’t created consistent $10k months, You have some social media visibility, but you can’t seem to articulate clearly the value of your work, You are aligned to charge $5k-20K for your offers, You are a spiritually mature and highly self-aware woman who knows her magic, You desire to stabilize and grow your income into multiple 6-figures by aligning your business strategy to your unique Soul design. If you're ready to get grounded in your Purpose, Infuse your Business Strategy with your unique Soul Design, and expand your Wealth capacity to attract more Money, Clients & Opportunities while getting your spiritual needs met & having space for self-care. Then I invite you to apply right now: I will have you fill out a questionnaire, and we will set up a call to talk about your specific situation, create a plan, and I'll share more details on how I can help you. - 9 Common Email Marketing Mistakes — And How to Fix Them
Written by: Lauren Wise, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Email marketing is an important part of any business' marketing strategy. It's a great way to stay in touch with your customers and show them that you care about their needs and wants. However, there are many ways for email campaigns to go wrong. This article will discuss 9 common mistakes made by businesses when doing email marketing and how they can be fixed! Not Segmenting your Email List If you aren't segmenting your list, you're missing out on a lot of opportunities. Segmentation means dividing the people on your email list into different categories based on their actions. For example, this could mean those who have bought a certain product from you and those who haven't. This will help you send more focused emails to specific groups of people. And the more that your audience feels like you're speaking into their souls, the more they are interested in hearing what you have to say. Not Sending a Welcome Email to New Subscribers One of the most important email marketing mistakes is not sending a welcome message when somebody subscribes. Your welcome email is the one chance you have to get started on the right foot. It is also your one chance for your open rates and click-through rates to sky-rocket. Without one, you're missing out on one more opportunity to make them feel like they just walked into a tribe of amazing people who all want the same thing. Not Sending Emails with a CTA With email marketing, you have the opportunity to 5X your revenue. Emails are designed to be an enticing call to action, convincing the reader that they should take immediate advantage of the opportunity. But... they can't take action if there's no call to action! Make sure there's a link in your email to a sales page or checkout. You can even put it in there up to three times if your email's a little longer. Not Using Text-Based Emails Designing your emails actually flags that it is a marketing email to both your customers and Google alike. Ending up in the promo tab reduces your open rates by over half! If your emails look like they're coming from a friend instead, there's a better chance they'll end up in the primary tab, where they'll be read instead of the promo tab. Not Analyzing Campaign Performance Analyzing campaign performance is important for any marketing strategy, but it's especially important in email campaigns. Find out what worked and didn't work so you can improve your emailing efforts the next time around. Not Using Scarcity People love feeling like they're getting a good deal because they are! By including "limited edition" or "only a few left!" in your subject line, you'll entice people to open and read the email. Not Selling with Stories Education is valuable, but storytelling becomes even more important if you're looking to hook your audience for life. So instead of telling your readers about the benefits of a product or service in one email, tell them what life was like before they had that problem solved. Using testimonials and even using client situations for FAQs help your message stand out. But also, don't be afraid to throw in your own personal stories! Your audience wants to know more about you and your brand. Not Explaining What to Expect In your welcome email, it's a great time to set expectations with your new prospect. Let them know about all of the great content you will be sending them and what it will do for them. But also, if they aren't in your target audience, don't keep them on your list. Give them a clear-out to unsubscribe if they aren't in alignment with your target audience. Also, if you're frequently emailing, make sure to tell them. Some people are okay with that if they feel like it will be valuable. For those who aren't, they can leave. No harm, no foul. Including Too Much Content The problem here isn't that you want to include a lot of content. The problem is that it's not relevant. Consider what your prospect wants and needs when they read an email from you. Be intentional about only sending them things that are valuable for their life or business right now. If it isn't, don't send it until soon after something changes in their life or business. Conclusion Email marketing is a powerful way to reach your customers, but it’s not as simple as just sending an email. If you have the right strategy before starting any campaigns, you can avoid these 9 common mistakes that most marketers make. It's important to know how people think and react when they see emails from brands because they're more likely to buy if their needs are met with what's being offered by the brand. - Real, Raw & Deep Coaching? Yes Please!
Written by: Maxwell Nee, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Have you ever had a coaching conversation with a client where you uncover the real issue? Did you find that the real issue had absolutely nothing to do with what was presented when the conversation started? Those coaching conversations and breakthroughs are my favorite because we have uncovered something truly deep in the client’s blindspot. Let me share with you an example of one of these conversations for you to listen to so you know what I mean - click here to listen. In the conversation, we uncover the real issue is actually Letting go of the need to control . Notice, where the coaching conversation starts and where it ends… In the episode, you will hear that Tracey loves motivating people but, as you will hear in the show, her fear of failure is holding her back. She is ‘protecting’ herself from failing, and that has made Tracey stagnant instead of working towards her goals. I challenge her to unravel that existing fear and have her realize that she doesn’t need to control all areas of her life - which is a BIG breakthrough for her. In this episode, you will hear: Why you need to get over of your past hurt Move on and stop controlling things you can’t control Coping with redundancy The importance of sharing experiences How to heal your emotional trauma Pauses and silences have been left in this conversation purposefully; within high-performing coaching sessions, the magic is often in the silence! And there is a powerful moment when Tracy goes back to a memory of her childhood to uncover where her confidence of not being able to do things alone comes from. Understanding this is a BIG breakthrough moment for Tracy, who can then make a plan of next steps with this new understanding of herself. Notice, as well, how Tracey creates an action plan, therefore taking ownership of the next steps in her own journey… We are proud to have helped 2,000+ coaches build their business without websites or business cards - Click here to discover ‘how’ at our next free workshop for coaches. - Could the “Witch Wound” be Holding you Back in Business?
Written by: Sheila Kadeer , Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. I Have been working with female entrepreneurs for a long time now, helping them to clear their path to success and build a sustainable business. In every single case, there has been one constant hurdle they have had to overcome, and even more so if they are a spiritual entrepreneur. The Witch Wound. This is not something you will find in any conventional business course. If I knew about this at the start of my journey, I could have saved myself a lot of time and money. This wound is held in the collective consciousness from the times of the witch trials. Wise women, healers, shamans, midwives and intuitives were persecuted and even killed for their gifts and beliefs. Women were becoming way too powerful, and the patriarchy needed to remain in control, and so the witch trials were born. The time of the witch trials spanned from the 14th to 18th centuries and it is estimated between 40,000 and 100,000 people were killed worldwide! Imagine being put to death, shamed, tortured all for being a strong and intuitive woman and being seen by society as: Too weird Too outspoken Too different Let’s think about the consequences of this. FEAR. Fear would have been rife at this time in history. This fear is stored in our DNA and handed down from our ancestors who lived through these times. This fear plays out through the ancestral line, and has been doing so for a long time. Fast forward to modern day entrepreneurship and this collective wounding shows up as: Fear of being seen. How many times have you held your finger over the go-live button and broken out in a cold sweat? I see so many females holding themselves back in business because of this fear. This is actually a fear that will keep you invisible and stop you from getting your gifts out into the world. Comparing yourself to others. You end up looking at everyone else and thinking they are better than you. Stalking other coaches and then feeling like an imposter or a fraud. This comes from those memories of lifetimes where others feared you for your witchcraft, and friends and family would turn you in to save themselves from persecution. This fear of being a fraud will lead to you undervaluing your services. People pleasing. Not wanting to draw attention to yourself because, on a deeper level, you remember making a scene led to your downfall. This will stop you from making that post just in case you rock the boat. Better to stay in the shadows. Not expressing yourself fully. Problems with your throat area and speaking your truth. You just won’t write the post that will move your business forward. You won’t talk about what you do confidently. Fear of authority and getting into trouble. Of course, this comes from the witch trials as well, but this will stop you from putting contracts in place, keeping on top of your finances. All these will keep your business small and end up costing you because you don’t have the legal contracts in place to deal with any potential client problems. It is my firm belief that past life and ancestral healing have a part to play in driving your business forward. I remember working with a client who was not earning the money she wanted, clients were treating her with disrespect, cancelling at short notice, and she was constantly chasing her tail. We went back under hypnosis to a past life and discovered she was a witch. She had been murdered but the villagers. She saw the villagers back then, who were her clients in this life. We did some healing work around this and she was then able to put some boundaries in place in this life. The result was clients paying on time, more new clients and money flowing with ease, plus a healed relationship with a parent as an added bonus. She was also able to stick to her boundaries without caving in, as she had done previously. This may not be for everyone, but for myself and my clients, clearing this wound has been an absolute game-changer. As I look back at my corporate career, I can see how it was playing out there too. That fear of speaking out in meetings, outshining my colleagues and watching people get trodden on as someone else was striving for that next promotion. Even though I left that toxic environment for the bright lights of entrepreneurship, little did I know the “witch wound” was something I needed to clear for me. Now I share who I am and what I do with a sense of pride and I am thankful I do not need to hide anymore. For more info, follow me on Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn and visit my website ! - I felt like I was One In a Million – Not 1 in 4
Written by: Sharna Southan, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. “I’m sorry, there is no heartbeat.” Words no woman ever thinks she will hear when she is in her pregnancy journey! This was my reality. The intense, all consuming sadness & inability to see anything good for your life anymore. The uncontrollable crying & the feelings of numbness. Then cue the opinions of others: “You should be over it by now.” “You shouldn’t be grieving, it’s not like it was your parent.” “At least you know you can fall pregnant.” Mama, you are grieving. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise. You are very much entitled to grieve your baby. It is a multifaceted grief. It has so many layers to it. And I think it is so important to mention here - Men grieve too. Men grieve so differently from women, so don't discount them. They are struggling. They are trying to hold it together & be the pillar of strength they feel they need to be. They will show their grief in different ways. They may try to control a situation because everything else is so out of control. A tip here for your relationship: Open the communication, dedicate separate time to chat. Hold sacred space for both of you, even if nothing is said. It is a safe space to voice what is weighing heavily on your heart. If communication is lost, it can be detrimental to a relationship because neither of you understands where the other person is or what they are feeling. Tips here to the Family Member or Friend: If you are someone who has someone around them that has experienced loss, don’t try and fix the situation. It can’t be ‘Fixed.’ Just offer to be there. Be there just to listen to the couple without wanting to give your opinion. Learn to hold space for them OR just sit in silence with them. Offer to do the chores or watch Netflix with them. Acknowledge their pain, don’t dismiss or invalidate their loss, it is real & it is valid. Losing a baby within you or as a stillborn is an imaginable grief you just never expect to ever feel or ever expect to have in your reality. Experiencing this myself changed the trajectory of my life! I knew I didn’t want another woman to experience the isolation, shame & guilt I did. Your experience does have the capacity to change your life if you can learn to embrace it. Pregnancy loss is not something outwardly spoken about in society & for some reason, there is a lot of stigma & shame surrounding it. And when it happens to a woman, she feels she is solely to blame for losing her child. For not being able to do right by her child. For not being able to do the one thing her body is designed for. As we are children growing up, it is considered the norm to fall in love, marry & start a family. For most women, this is what they want, but for some, it’s not their reality. To attach children to womanhood. But what if you can never fall pregnant? It is just not as simple as that for a lot of women. The statistics: 1 in 4 pregnancies will result in miscarriage 1 in 8 Women will experience Infertility in their pregnancy journey 1 in 100 Women experience Recurrent Miscarriage Mother Nature’s natural fertility rate is only 20% each month - a very small natural window. Information I think we should absolutely be taught about from a young age. Before embarking on the Pregnancy Journey. In knowing how many women are actually experiencing loss, why should there be so much silence & stigma around it still? And why do people feel like they need to downplay a woman's grief after experiencing this type of loss? Mama, give yourself the permission to grieve. Like I said earlier, it is multifaceted grief, because there are so many different layers to your life that you are grieving. You are grieving your child, born or unborn. It is still your baby. And you have immense love for them as soon as you get that positive test. You would do anything to keep them safe from that very moment. You are grieving your future. Because as soon as you fall pregnant, you start to almost immediately plan your future. How different it will be. What you get to experience. Buying all the baby items & how much joy it will all bring. You are grieving your identity. When that is all so abruptly taken away from you, who are you? Are you even a mum? What does your life mean now? You are grieving all that you knew up until this moment in time. How you grieve is entirely up to you. Grief is not linear. It doesn’t come in a distinct stage or pattern, and I think it’s important to know too, you will never be done grieving! Your immense sadness will soon be interwoven with the beautiful softness & intense beauty of Joy. You will start to have them living side by side in your life & it will add so much more depth to you. There are 5 stages to the Kubler-Ross Grief Cycle: Denial Anger Depression Bargaining Acceptance. These will come to you all over the place. Know when they do, feel them, don’t ignore them. Emotions are energy. They want to be seen, heard & felt. Once you have felt it, actioned whatever it was you needed to, you’ve sat in the shower & had that heavy heart heaving cry, or you've screamed into a pillow, this is allowing the emotion to be released. They aren’t coming to you to hurt you, they are coming to be felt. When you are able to feel your emotions as they present, each time the intense sadness or anger, whatever it is, presents, it will be more and more time in between. You will be able to experience more joy & happiness in between the sadness. And it’s in those in-between moments you will begin to heal your soul. When you can feel, then and only then, can you start healing. One simple tool I recommend to use when you are trying to figure out what you are feeling is: Journaling: This will allow you to start to process those intense emotions. At the start, it will feel foreign to write it all down. That's why I recommend starting small. Even if it just recognizes the emotion. That's a huge step in itself. Some prompts you can ask yourself: What emotion is it that is presenting & possibly what the lead up to that was? What happened? What triggered you? Then as you get better at writing, you can start documenting more around how it is presented? What does it mean to you? Because our reactions are our perception of that emotion. It is your perception of it being good or bad. Writing a phrase of acknowledgment & then How you can reframe it for when it comes up in the future (because it will). You cannot fully eradicate feelings, so it’s how we deal with them that makes the difference. Your external world is a direct reflection of your internal world. If you want things to start changing outside of you, you have to look to change within you first. Allowing yourself to grieve & acknowledging & honoring yourself & your emotions is the first change you can make. Your grief is valid. It is yours to understand and to feel. And then it is yours to start healing. The grief is not your ‘forever’! It won’t be like this forever, just for now. To the Angel Mama; Your wound is not your fault. But your healing is your responsibility. Want more from Sharna? Subscribe to her Youtube Channel and follow her on Facebook and Instagram. Read more from Sharna! - What can Cells Teach us About Love?
Written by: Tommesa Mobley, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. In the beginning, when the world was still new, long before the first plant life broke through the soil to greet the sun, the first life to appear was single-celled organisms. Fossil evidence shows that they were here within the first 600 million years after the earth was formed. And for around 3 million years, they were the only life on the planet. We can learn a lot from these simple but intelligent beings that have survived longer than any other. These thousands of bacteria, protozoa, and algae started to multiply. Eventually, they overpopulated their environment. As they grew in number, you might think they began to compete with one another for resources. This is certainly what we see happen in many societies where the population outnumbers the resources. However, unicellular organisms are too smart to compete. Rather than compete, they figured out how to cooperate by creating communities. That’s when multicellular life forms began to appear on the planet. At first, these communities were made up of just a few unicellular individuals. They were so successful that soon, communities numbered into the millions, billions, and even trillions. Like you and I, humans are highly structured communities of trillions of these organisms working together to keep us alive and well. We are One. My life’s mantra is if you want to live a healthier, happier, and more vibrant life, take better care of each other, our planet, and honor yourself as a whole being- mind, body, and spirit. This isn’t something I came up with when I started my business. It’s a truth I’ve understood on an intuitive level since I was a child. I’ve been asked why I always say “take better care of each other” first. It’s because if we can’t recognize and honor each other as divine beings, none of the rest matters. We need each other because we are all connected; everything and everyone is connected. We choose to overlook this universal reality at our own peril. Allow me to give you an example that will help you understand how dangerous it is to dismiss our oneness. When I was in kindergarten, one of my favorite things to do was gaze through the prism we had in the classroom. I was fascinated by it although, it wasn’t until I became an adult and discovered my calling that I understood my attraction to it. When a beam of white light goes into the prism, it’s refracted by the prism's structure, so the light that comes out of the other side manifests as a rainbow. In this way, we can see each of the frequencies that make up the white light beam in their individual expressions. Interestingly, if you reverse the process by sending a rainbow through the prism, the individual colors will recombine and again manifest themselves as a beam of white light. That is unless one of the frequencies of color is missing. All the frequencies must be present to reflect pure white light. If we perceive the white light as a divine source of energy, we can easily understand that we are the individual frequencies of color that combine to reflect the divine source. When we dismiss, devalue and destroy others, we do the same to ourselves. We have a duty to protect and care for one another because we are all one with each other and the divine. Only when we learn to recognize that we are each a necessary part of a global community will we be able to experience the divine. In other words, when we see each other as divine beings in need of love, then we can create heaven on earth. Love is the Answer. Now, more than ever, it may be difficult to imagine a population of millions of individuals living and working together in perfect peace. In these uncertain times, we could be forgiven for thinking that there is no such reality. And yet, for billions of years, cells have carried out a social contract of peace that ensures the survival of both individuals and the entire biosphere. There are no cells left behind in a healthy human body, no poverty, no homelessness, no unemployment, no racism, or classism. This only happens in unhealthy bodies, where profound disharmony causes certain cells to withdraw from cooperating with the community. Cancers cells, for example, are cells that have quit cooperating with the other cells. They have essentially quit their jobs and started living off the other cells in the community. As I’ve said, cells are smart. Each cell serves the entire community by carrying out a specific job, living out its purpose. Cooperating in this way ensures the efficiency and health of the entire organism. One major advantage of this division of labor is that it allows more cells to live on fewer resources. Rather than fight and destroy one another over a few resources, cellular communities created a social contract that requires each individual cell to expend a certain amount of energy. It is the cellular version of the concepts of collective effort and group economics since the amount of energy conserved by everyone contributes to the overall survival and quality of life of the entire body. In 2004, Britain’s Natural Environmental Research Council pointed out that there have been five mass extinctions in the earth's history, all caused by extraterrestrial events. We are now on the precipice of a sixth. This time the cause will not be an extraterrestrial event. To quote one of the study’s authors, Jeremy Thomas, “As far as we can tell, this one is caused by one animal organism, man.” It seems that despite our position of dominion over all the creatures of the world, man is the only animal that turns on itself. In most animal societies, violence among members of the same species does not include death. And even when it does, it is usually precipitated by the need to acquire food, water, or other things necessary for survival. Man is the only animal that devalues and destroys its own kind for material possessions, hatred, control, and possibly even pleasure. What would happen if humans chose to follow the example of healthy cellular communities? What if we chose to come together in a global community that honored the divinity in each of its members? What if we chose to operate in a manner that focused on cooperation rather than competition? Perhaps we will see that we are all physical, mental, and spiritual beings who need love to thrive just as much as we need food and water to survive. Then, we could interact with one another in a way that supports our planet and every living being that calls it home. Follow me on Facebook, or visit my website for info! - Harmful Spiritual Information
Written by: Jennifer Bell , Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Can Spiritual Information Be Harmful? The answer is yes. There is a fast-paced superhighway filled with spiritual information. Angels, Archangels, and Ascended Masters... Oh my! Channeled information on galactic wars, star beings, and the evolution of the universe can be found everywhere. I have been observing the trends as a teacher of authentic body/soul connection and notice how so much of what is out there in the fields of spiritual information is not really helping people be in alignment with their path or healthy and/or balanced growth as a soul operating through a body. Most people spend more time figuring out which star system they come from instead of facing the trauma of not feeling enough to drive that quest. Knowing that information does not consciously heal trauma. I have helped people to clear detrimental patterns from their energetic system due to the fields of spiritual disinformation they were trying to create and live through instead of choosing to deal with their traumas, balance their nervous system, and get consciously connected with their soul through their body. I have watched this phenomenon of spiritual entrepreneurs learning healing methods, client “attraction” methods, akashic record reading methods, intuition building methods in a few hours and then turn around and teach it to others immediately. No experience, no work under their belt, no self-cultivation or development, and no substance. This is what I call Empty Fire. I am a licensed acupuncturist, a bodyworker, and have been helping others to heal their subtle body system for over 20 years. Empty fire is a state of deficiency. The fire element is related to the Spirit/Shen. Relating this to spiritual information means that on this surface, this looks like true spiritual information that will help you grow and evolve, but there is no substance behind it. It is like trying to grow a plant in soil that is completely stripped of any nutrients. I recognize empty fire within the realm of spiritual information because it is sharing information without recognition of its spiritual origin and without the spiritual development necessary to teach and/or share spiritual knowledge or methods. This is the same premise as eating empty calories. It tries to sell itself as nutritious food but ultimately taxes your body. What is the cost of empty fire spiritual disinformation? Can over-stimulate your nervous system through FOMO(fear of missing out) by sending you on endless searches for “higher spiritual information or beings” while diverting you from your own authentic path. It can lead people to live through the delusion and illusion of others that have not committed to their own authentic path. Feeds the model of diluted spiritual information that is pervasive in new age spirituality. It gives people the illusion of growth and transformation but is really just surface-level spiritual information. It is not the wisdom, knowledge, or experience that is the foundation of growth and transformation. Those are just a few. The biggest harmful pattern is that people speak the language of sovereignty, spirituality, unconditional love, and abundance consciousness but choose not to mention where they learned what they know. They do not acknowledge the origin/source of information, which screams lack, screams that they don’t value the source of information, which is sometimes another person, and screams that they are not invested in their own authenticity if they are trying to wear someone else’s authentic expression. We are better than this, and we truly need a better way of learning what is true in the realms of spiritual information and teachings. We need to treat this evolutionary process with more care for ourselves and others which is why my focus has been on teaching authentic body/soul connection and permission-based healing. The first and most simple solution that demonstrates that you are on the path of authentic spiritual growth is to honor the person you learned something from by mentioning them as the source of your sharing information. My teacher, Sadiki Bakari, says “ you cannot microwave spiritual growth.” Imagine cutting up store-bought potatoes grown on a factory farm with little to no care, slicing them with a dull blade, and putting them in the microwave to make French fries. Now imagine growing the potatoes in nutrient-dense soil, nurturing and tending to the potatoes as they grow, pulling them from the ground when they are ready, washing off these potatoes grown with care, slicing them with a beautiful blade, selecting the right balance of seasonings as taught to you by one of your ancestors, frying them at the perfect temperature, and then with gratitude, sitting down and eating them. Now, which fries do you want to eat? I do not know about you. I did not come here to experience and share soggy, sad, flavorless potatoes. - Six ways to Improve your Self-worth
Written by: Aida Dryjanski , Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. "You're always with yourself, so you might as well enjoy the company." — Diane Von Furstenberg. When I found this quote, it got me thinking about the significance of our self-esteem and self-worth. Such wise words made me contemplate the meaning of our own value and appreciation of ourselves as human beings. Moreover, considering how numerous individuals with low self-worth see the quality of their lives affected, they can now appreciate the significance of improving their emotions. Let me ask you. Have you ever thought about how much do you like your own company? Do you enjoy your own company? Do you recognize your own value? Do you love yourself? Do you practice self-care? Do you compliment yourself? What do you really think about yourself? Let us begin by explaining what self-esteem and self-worth are since we may get confused between the similarities they share, and even though they are not the same, they do complement each other. Like Dr. Christina Hibbert explains: Self-esteem is what we think and feel and believe about ourselves. Self-worth is recognizing ‘I am greater than all of those things.’ It is a deep knowing that I am of value, that I am loveable, necessary to this life, and of incomprehensible worth.” (2013). In other words, self-esteem relies on external factors such as accomplishments and achievements and how your thoughts, beliefs, and feelings about yourself affect your self-esteem. On the other hand, self-worth relies on internal factors like acknowledging your own worth and having your own internal awareness radar indicating how much you accept your value as a human being. At one time or another, all of us have struggled with our own feelings of worthiness. And yes, it is particularly important to recognize your own strengths and attributes. What is more, you must appreciate and empathize with yourself those times when you make mistakes, when you fail, or when things are not working out as you had expected. During these times, you should nurture yourself by providing self-care and having compassionate behaviors towards yourself. Nowadays -more than ever-, you should understand the importance of improving your self-worth to avoid the consequences of seeing the quality of your life affected and diminished. What are some qualities of someone with low self-worth? Those individuals are exceedingly critical of themselves; they tend to ignore their positive qualities, use negative words to describe themselves, do not believe in compliments, think they are inferior, try to be perfectionists, and are usually sad, angry, or depressed. What are some of the consequences of having low self-worth on the quality of a person’s life? Those persons usually experience relationship problems, are afraid of trying new things, do not take risks, are afraid of being judged, their resilience is low, they have a hard time coping with challenges, do not practice self-care, and they do not practice self-care may even harm themselves. Moreover, it is important to realize that some of the things that do not determine your self-worth are your bank account, looks, or popularity. Let me be clear. Those factors do not define how valuable or worthy you are. What truly matters is what kind of values, ideals, standards, and principles you uphold in your life. Values and beliefs like kindness, respect, tolerance, compassion, empathy, thoughtfulness, authenticity, caring, and consideration for others. There will be times when you will try to sabotage yourself when your inner voice starts firing up criticisms that remind you of your flaws. Every time that happens, every time you notice that your inner voice is criticizing and reminding you about your faults, every time you notice that your self-esteem needs a boost, that is the time when you need to challenge yourself and find what steps you may take to help improve your self-worth. Keep in mind that no matter what, you are always a worthy and valuable human being. Stop the negative self-talk. Have you ever realized how much time you spend thinking about your flaws instead of appreciating your strengths? Tell me, how would you describe yourself? What are the labels you give yourself? Have you noticed that most of the time, the negatives outweigh the positives? The downside is that by labeling yourself, you are changing your own perception and your self-esteem. From now on, pay attention to your self-talk. Be aware of how you talk to yourself and what words you are using. Start by helping your inner critic support your self-esteem and self-worth. Watch your language and use positive and encouraging words. Challenge the way you think and the way you view yourself. Recognize your attributes and positive qualities. Start praising and clapping yourself more often. Accept your flaws and focus on your strengths. As human beings, we all have shortcomings that we would like to change. First, work toward being humble and acknowledge your flaws. By accepting and recognizing your own limitations, you are saying, “my faults do not define me,” “I will not allow my faults to control my life.” And, by doing so, you are giving more power to your strengths and your attributes. You are finally empowering yourself. I suggest you practice the following exercise to reinforce your qualities. Write a list of all your personal strengths, your qualities, your talents, and abilities. Read your list and be joyful and grateful for all of them. Furthermore, rejoice and celebrate your accomplishments, your achievements, and your successes. From now on, accept your flaws but always, emphasize your strengths! Do things you enjoy and spend time with people that make you happy. Once again, write a list of the things you like to do, and every day try to do at least one thing on your list. Ask yourself, What brings you joy? What makes you smile? And make sure you carry out those things. Likewise, do not waste your precious time with people that do not respect you or treat you like you deserve. Life is short, spend your time doing things you enjoy and be with people you like and who appreciate and truly care about you. At the end of the day, you will feel more motivated and inspired to follow your dreams. Take care of yourself. It is never too late to start practicing self-care. By giving yourself some love and appreciation, you are telling the world: I am worthy! Create a daily self-care routine. Engage in activities that promote your well-being. Exercise, read a book, nourish your body, meditate, grab a cup of coffee, get enough sleep. Self-care means focusing on your needs. By practicing self-care, you will feel better about yourself, and you will reflect that feeling in your work, at home, and in your relationships. Accept and encourage yourself; remember, nobody is perfect. Give yourself a break. We all have times when we are feeling down and uneasy. Do not be hard on yourself. Nobody is perfect. Pay attention to your blessings. Cheer yourself. The most important thing is to remember to be kind and compassionate with yourself. Never allow being defined by people’s opinions or external circumstances. Focus on your faith and confidence. By accepting yourself as you are -despite your flaws, weaknesses, and limitations-, you are acknowledging the real worth of who you are — right here, right now, at this present moment. Never compare yourself with others. You are walking your own path. Sometimes the reason you struggle with insecurity is that you compare yourself with everyone else. Forget what everyone else is doing. Your life is about yourself breaking your own limits to empower yourself. "A healthy self-love means we have no compulsion to justify to ourselves or others why we take vacations, why we sleep late, why we buy new shoes, why we spoil ourselves from time to time. We feel comfortable doing things which add quality and beauty to life." — Andrew Matthews As I mentioned before, low self-esteem and self-worth can negatively affect every area of your life, including your relationships, job, and health. But keep in mind that every day you have a choice to change and challenge yourself. It is important to believe, deep down, that you can change. Change does not necessarily happen easily or quickly, but it will happen. By creating a healthy sense of self-worth, you will benefit more from inner stability. You will become brighter, more positive, and more confident. By feeling worthy, you will develop and expand your self-love, feel more deserving of good things in life, and feel more motivated and inspired to focus and achieve your goals. Louise L. Hay was so right when she wrote: "Remember, you have been criticizing yourself for years, and it hasn't worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens." — Louise L. - Top 6 Mistakes to Avoid when Creating a Lead Magnet Funnel
Written by: Sunu Philip, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. A lead magnet funnel is a system used to attract ideal clients with a lead magnet and get them to buy something from you. When set up right, a lead magnet funnel can be extremely effective in bringing in a stream of ready-to-buy leads for your high-ticket offers. However, not all websites with lead magnet funnels in place bring in enough leads and sales. If you’re planning to set up a lead magnet funnel on your website, here are the top mistakes you’ll want to avoid. Mistake 1: Not Validating Your Offer If you don’t have the right offer in place, it’s not yet time to think about your lead magnet funnel. If you’ve just started your business and you’re not yet sure what you want to offer your audience, that’s where you have to begin. The Solution: First, identify what exactly your ideal client needs and how you can provide it to them. Your offer can be a product or service that helps your ideal client solve a major pain point that they’re facing. When you have your offer in place, start promoting it and get enough sales. As you get new clients, you can also ask them for testimonials that will add weight to your offer. Only when you have enough sales under your belt is your offer validated. Then you can start thinking about setting up a lead magnet funnel that will guide your audience to a free resource, and from there, to your offer. Mistake 2: Creating a Generic Lead Magnet Wanting to give your audience a free resource as a lead magnet is great, but putting out a generic lead magnet will do your business no favors. You might feel a lead magnet that covers everything you offer will help, but the problem is that it’s not specific enough for your ideal client to take the next step with you. They might sign up for your lead magnet, but they don’t have clarity on how exactly you can help them solve their problems. So, they don’t directly jump into work with you. The Solution: Reverse engineer the process and start with the end in mind. Identify what particular product or service you want to sell. Then create a lead magnet that aligns with this offer. The lead magnet gives your ideal client a peek into what you can do for them, so they’ll be more likely to jump in with both feet and sign up for your offer. Mistake 3: You Don’t Know Your Audience Do you really know who you’re trying to reach with your lead magnet? If you’re offering your lead magnet to the wrong people, you won’t have many takers. Let’s say you have a bird and a cat at home. If you place birdseed in the cat's bowl, the cat won't eat it. If you keep cat food in the bird's cage, the bird won't want it. Also, if the cat is already full-bellied, it won't want a can of tuna - even if it's freshly opened. It's absolutely essential to present the right lead magnet and offer to the right audience. And it has to be presented at the right time... when they're really looking for it. The Solution: Find out who your ideal client is and how you can help them with your lead magnet and offer. It has to speak directly to their need. Get yourself in front of people who're really hungry for what you're offering, and offer them the right resource that will solve a major pain point in their life or business. Mistake 4: Not Having a Plan on What’s Next Another major mistake people make when setting up a lead magnet is that they don’t have a plan for what’s next - after people sign up for the lead magnet. You might have the best possible lead magnet that your audience really wants. You might even get a whole lot of sign-ups. But if you don’t have a plan to nurture them after they get on your email list, you’re missing a huge opportunity. You want them to feel that you treasure them and that they’re a valuable part of your community. This will get them to warm up to you and to any offers you may pitch to them eventually. The Solution: Keep in mind that the purpose of getting people to sign up for your lead magnet is to open up a new channel of communication to reach them. Introduce yourself and build a genuine relationship with them over a series of emails. Send them regular updates, seek their thoughts, and make them feel important. The more you keep in touch and show up in their inbox, the more they’ll get to know, like, and trust you… which in turn makes them more likely to buy from you. Mistake 5: Trying to Get it Perfect The problem with aiming for perfection is that you spend so much time thinking and planning for the ideal lead magnet funnel that it doesn’t get done. You might never get it all perfectly right on the first go, and that’s ok. It doesn't have to be perfect - it just needs to be done. The Solution: Get your first lead magnet funnel out there. Then test it out to see how it’s working. You can always tweak the system and make changes as required. Any online system that has multiple components requires testing. What works now might not work for you a year down the line. Change is inevitable, so it’s ok to take the trial and error route. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes and learn as you go. Mistake 6: Trying to Do it All Yourself I’m so guilty of making this mistake. When I started my business, I thought I could do it all on my own. The problem is that I have my weaknesses - I’m not good at all facets of running a business. I’m sure you know what you’re not great at. Pushing yourself to do the work you’re not good at will keep you from working on things that can be moneymakers. Instead of wasting your time and effort on something you’re not comfortable working on, why not let someone else do it for you? The Solution: Find an expert or professional who’s great at doing the things you tend to stress over. They can easily guide you through the process because that is their strength. With expert handholding, you’ll be able to minimize your frustration and play to your strengths rather than playing to your weaknesses. Shameless plug: If you need help setting up your lead magnet funnels, I have over 12+ years of experience with it. I’ll be happy to help! Setting up a lead magnet funnel on your website is a surefire way to get a steady stream of leads who’re interested in buying from you. She's on a mission to help self-employed entrepreneurs step into the freedom they started their business for, but never achieved. She believes a business should act as a driving force to help your message reach those in need, without jeopardizing your quality of life. Who is Jamie? Jamie Kullman is a business growth strategist and host of the Moms Freedom Maker podcast. Living on beautiful Maui Hawaii where her days consist of adventuring through the jungle, soaking in tide pools and jumping off cliffs into the ocean, and being an underwater astronaut checking out the colorful fish. We're not sure where we're headed next, but we may do a month-long road trip back on the mainland, go up to Canada or give Alaska a try. We travel light and love having the ability to set our own schedules. Loves yoga, and is a vegetarian. An ocean and environmental advocate who hopes to help end the harm we're seeing here on earth. She's spent the past 5 years traveling while running her business from her laptop. She's explored the rice terraces of Bali, the mountains of Thailand, and island-hopped through Greece. Her fiance jokes that he found her in the cornfields and they now have a sweet 5-month baby boy Kailo Shae who has joined for these adventures along with a pup named Charlie. They look forward to raising our son in an adventurous life. He went camping at 2 weeks old, watched 50-foot swells at the famous Jaws at 3 weeks old, and has been living the beach baby life. She is on a mission to help self-employed entrepreneurs step into the freedom and passion they started their business for, but most never achieve. What is it that you do for your clients? I help my clients design and package their signature high-ticket offer that showcases their unique expertise. We create an automated lead generation strategy and attract their dream clients online. My signature 3 phase process focuses on time and financial freedom, therefore I take overworked and overwhelmed self-employed entrepreneurs and turn them into digital CEOs. Who should hire/work with you? If you're reading this and you have or want to have a coaching or consulting business you're ready to scale, yet you're feeling overworked, burnt out, and overwhelmed; this is your ticket to freedom. Many times my clients think the only way to scale is by booking more 1:1 clients using their existing business structure, but what happens is they spend even more of their time working which further decreases their freedom. We focus on building your business on a scalable foundation that way when you're ready for growth, you can hit the gas without overbooking yourself. We want to make it so you can impact more while working less. If you're struggling to craft your irresistible offer or maybe you're still at the point where you're struggling to combine your skills, passions, and expertise this process will help you start an aligned business. We focus on setting up an automated lead gen process so you can make money while you sleep and utilize a content strategy that attracts your dream clients online and pushes them into your lead gen process that converts them into clients! Or maybe you've been on this entrepreneurial journey for a while and are spending hours behind your desk working, wearing all the hats in your business, wondering if this is really what life has to be like now. You didn't start this business to create a job for yourself. You built it to share your message, impact lives and give yourself blissful freedom. What is your big goal? Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? My big goal is to scale my business and use the profits to open up a non-profit dedicated to protecting wildlife from poachers and habitat loss. We will address climate problems leading to the extinction of animals and how we can save these species. I don't want to just dump money into ideas or have a "feel good" non-profit. I want to make a real difference and strategize to find the solutions and take action to see them through. Through this business, I hope to free entrepreneurs from the trenches of their businesses so we can all experience the freedom we started these businesses for - that way we can spend our free time focused on giving back and working on our passions. For me, that means figuring out ways to save our environment for future generations. What are your 3 biggest tips for those looking to start or scale their business? Clarify - get very clear on what it is you want from this business and the lifestyle you're looking to achieve. In addition be very clear on building this so it aligns with your unique skills, expertise, and passions so you will be excited to nurture and grow your business. Systems - build automated systems in your business so it can run without you. Systems plan an integral role in the scalability of your business and are the determining factor as to if you created a true business or a hectic job for yourself. This includes a content and lead generation strategy. Scale - scaling doesn't mean working more. It means working smarter, not harder. We're in this business to impact the lives of others. Focus on impacting more and working less. You are in charge of your quality of life and your business should act as a driving force to help your message reach more people in need of your services. These three elements are addressed in my 3 phase freedom-business system where I walk my clients through how to start and scale their business on a steady foundation while incorporating these three moving parts. First of all, how are you? How’s everything going? – Things are both great and not great, which I’m sure so many people are feeling right now. On one hand, I am spending my days playing with my daughter, doing yoga, tending to my garden, baking, and going to bed nice and early. It’s been so beautiful to be at home with my family. Things at home feel calm, safe and slow. On the other hand, if I direct my awareness away from my little home and start to think of the state of the world I don’t feel okay at all. It’s like I have this lump in the back of my throat and this fear rises in me. I am trying to keep myself educated on the Corona-virus situation without constantly getting sucked in. I’ve had to close my yoga studio and postpone some projects at work. I know this is hitting my team hard, and my community on Aruba hard. I am trying to stay grounded and remind myself that this will pass. How many businesses/projects do you toggle at the moment? What are the different projects? – I seem to always have a lot going on! Right now my focus is on my online platform at yogagirl.com. This platform is so important to me. It's a beautiful online space where people can practice yoga and access healing tools right from home. I know that is so needed in the world right now. I’m still working on the 29K app, which is a beautiful space to connect with others, improve your compassion toward yourself and share your feelings from the heart - also so needed right now! I have some other exciting things coming up this year that I’m working on but I can’t mention them just yet or I will ruin the surprise. You started your Instagram back in 2012, when did it explode and why do you think your account became so popular among people across the world? – I started my account just to share bits and pieces of my life, as so many others do. In the beginning, I shared pictures of yoga, my dogs and my breakfast, but it wasn’t until I started sharing my honest feelings that my account started to grow. I think a lot of people could relate to what I was saying. Vulnerability always makes you feel not alone, and I think that’s why so many people connected with me. You’ve turned down offers from big sponsors multiple times, what has been the reason for that? – I always turn down sponsors if they don’t resonate with me. I want what I share to be honest and authentic. I want to partner with brands that are doing good for the world. It is not about the money for me - it’s about making a difference. How is your connection to Sweden today? Do you ever miss living there? – Sweden will always have a place in my heart. I do miss living there every now and then. It is always beautiful to see the changing of the seasons and celebrate our Swedish holidays and traditions. I mostly miss my friends! Now we all have babies about the same age and I wish we could be raising them together. My husband Dennis would love to move to Sweden one day. I would love to find a middle ground of spending part of the year in Aruba and part in Sweden. What are your personal goals? Where do you see yourself in ten years from now and what have you accomplished? – When I think of my future I always picture another baby in my life! But I’m not sure if I’m ready for that just yet. I really just hope I am happy in the future. I hope things are calm and stable and I can focus on the things that matter most to me in my life. If you would give 3 of your best business advice, what would those be? Don’t doubt yourself. If you have an idea, just go for it. Doubting yourself will help no-one and will only slow down your process! Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Leave time for what really matters.
