  • How to Get from the Basement to the Penthouse – Part 1

Written by Wendy Lyon, Transformational Financial Strategist Wendy Lyon, also known as "The Financial Lyon" and “The Millionaire Maker,” is a nationally recognized financial strategist, international speaker, author, and media host. She helps women and the people they love ditch debt, build wealth, and protect their future, without sacrificing their lifestyle or values. “You can’t reach the penthouse if your mind is still living in the basement.” Most people don’t realize they’re living in the basement because the basement feels normal. It feels like stress. It feels like exhaustion. It feels like constantly trying to catch up. It feels like waking up every morning already overwhelmed before your feet even hit the floor. The basement is where life happens to you. Bills pile up. Relationships struggle. Unexpected problems appear. One crisis turns into another. Instead of living intentionally, you spend your life reacting. I often describe it like being a stressed-out pinball bouncing from one problem to the next with no real control over where you’re headed. Sadly, millions of people live there for years. Sometimes decades. Some never leave. The truth is, survival mode becomes addictive. Not because people enjoy suffering, but because the human brain craves familiarity, even when that familiarity is unhealthy. If you grew up around fear, scarcity, financial stress, criticism, instability, or chaos, your nervous system may have learned to believe that struggle is simply part of life. You begin expecting things to go wrong. You prepare for disappointment. You stop dreaming bigger because disappointment feels safer than hope, and eventually, you stop asking for more. But here’s what I want you to understand: The basement is not your identity. It’s just your current address. Too many people mistake their circumstances for who they are. They say, “I’m bad with money.” “I’ll never get ahead.” “People like me don’t become wealthy.” “I’m too old.” “I missed my chance.” But those are not truths. They are beliefs, and beliefs can be changed. One of the biggest reasons people remain stuck is because they’ve unconsciously accepted limitation as reality. They don’t realize that many of the thoughts controlling their lives were inherited from childhood, culture, fear, painful experiences, or repeated disappointments. When someone hears over and over that money is hard to make, that rich people are greedy, that life is unfair, that success belongs to “other people,” eventually those messages become internal programming. And whatever you program into your subconscious mind becomes the blueprint for your life. I know what it feels like when life suddenly changes in an instant. When I was young, I lost my 24-year-old husband in a motorcycle accident and was left to raise two little girls, ages one and three, on my own. There was grief. There was fear. There was uncertainty. There were moments when the basement felt very real. But difficult circumstances do not have to define the rest of your story. Sometimes the greatest breakthroughs begin with a single question: “Is it possible there’s more?” That one question changes everything. Because the moment you ask it, you stop unconsciously accepting your current reality as permanent. You begin to open your mind to possibilities, and possibilities are the doorway out of the basement. The people who transform their lives financially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually are not necessarily the smartest people in the room. They are the people who become willing to challenge the beliefs that have been holding them hostage. They stop asking, “Why does this always happen to me?” They start asking, “What if my life could look different?” That shift may seem small. But it’s monumental. Because your questions determine your focus, and your focus determines your future. You cannot create penthouse results while maintaining basement thinking. If you constantly focus on lack, fear, scarcity, problems, and limitations, your brain will continuously search for evidence to confirm those beliefs. But when you begin asking empowering questions, your brain starts searching for solutions instead of obstacles. That’s when transformation begins. Not overnight. Not magically. But intentionally. The first step out of the basement is awareness. Awareness of your thoughts. Awareness of your beliefs. Awareness of the stories you’ve been telling yourself. Because once you become aware of the programming, you gain the power to rewrite it. That’s where real change begins. No matter where you are today financially, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually, your current situation does not have to become your permanent destination. You were created for more than survival. You were created to grow. To thrive. To prosper. To live with purpose. The moment you begin believing that more is possible, you’ve already started climbing the stairs. Final thoughts: If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, exhausted, or trapped by your circumstances, let this be your reminder: The basement is not where your story has to end. Sometimes the most powerful transformation begins with a simple willingness to believe there could be more waiting for you. Ask yourself today, “What if my current reality isn’t my final destination?” That question alone could change your entire future. • An Open Letter to Every Restaurant in the World About Bringing Back Strawberry Preserves

Written by William Davis, Leadership Blueprint Consultant William Davis is a leadership expert, speaker, and mentor dedicated to helping executives, managers, and aspiring leaders develop the skills to lead confidently and successfully. Some battles are small enough to ignore, until suddenly they are not, and this one happens to involve breakfast dignity and the quiet disappearance of strawberry preserves. In a world of jam, jelly, and questionable “fruit spreads,” one frustrated voice is drawing a very serious line in the toast. My fellow humans, we need to talk. By “humans,” I specifically mean every restaurant, hotel, diner, café, breakfast bar, pancake house, and little place with laminated menus and coffee cups thick enough to survive a tornado. I have tried to be patient. I have tried to be mature. I have tried to show grace. But after nearly 12 months of silent suffering, I can no longer sit quietly while this wonderful world is being robbed of one of breakfast’s most sacred institutions, strawberry preserves. Not jam. Not jelly. Not “mixed fruit spread,” whatever that means. Preserves. The kind with actual fruit in it. The kind where you can look down at your biscuit and say, “Yes. An actual strawberry was involved in this process.” I’m not asking restaurants to reinvent breakfast. I’m not asking for fancy butter, imported honey, or a tiny sprig of parsley placed on my eggs like breakfast is trying to win an art contest. I’m asking for strawberry preserves. That’s it. A humble request from a man who has reached the end of his toast. Let’s clear something up Somebody somewhere decided jam was an acceptable replacement for preserves. That person was wrong and should be committed! Jam is what happens when strawberries are taken into a back room and pressured into becoming something they were never meant to be. Crushed. Smashed. Pureed. Silenced. By the time jam makes it to the table, the strawberry is basically in witness protection. You know it might be in there, but you cannot confirm this by sight. Preserves, on the other hand, tell the truth. Preserves say, “Yes, I am strawberry. You can see me. You can feel me. I am here in full berry authority.” That is integrity. That is transparency. That is leadership in condiment form. I guess jam is fine, if you’re in a jam. But let’s not pretend it’s great. Now listen, I’m not saying jam is evil. Jam has its place. Jam is what you give someone when you don’t know them well enough to offer them something better. Jam is the handshake of breakfast toppings. Preserves are the relationship. Jam says, “Good morning.” Preserves say, “Sit down, my friend. Let’s build something meaningful.” Jelly? Jelly is just fruit juice that lost its courage. Jelly is the ghost of a strawberry haunting a plastic cup. I’m not trying to be harsh. I’m just telling the truth. The toast test Take one piece of toast. Spread jam on it. What do you have? A red smear. It looks like your toast got into an argument with a paintball gun and lost. Now spread strawberry preserves on that same piece of toast. Suddenly, you’ve got texture. You’ve got character. You’ve got hills, valleys, fruit, hope, and a reason to keep going. That toast is no longer just toast. That toast has a future. You do not simply eat preserves. You experience them. The continental breakfast betrayal Don’t even get me started on hotels. You walk into a hotel breakfast area at 6:47 in the morning. You’re tired. You’re wearing your pajamas, that is a discussion for another time. You’re holding a paper plate that bends under the weight of one bagel. You approach the little wicker basket of breakfast disappointment, and what do you find? Grape jelly. Mixed fruit jam. Orange marmalade. Orange marmalade has been riding the bench for 200 years and somehow still makes the team every morning. But strawberry preserves? Missing. Gone. Vanished. Like common sense in a meeting that should have been an email. Who made this decision? Who looked at the breakfast table and said, “You know what people don’t need anymore? Joy.” I want names! This is bigger than breakfast Some people will say, “William, it’s just preserves.” No, it is not. That is how decline starts. First, they take the strawberry preserves. Then somebody says boxed mashed potatoes are fine for Thanksgiving, though I do agree with that. Then powdered eggs start showing up at brunch. Then, before you know it, somebody is serving instant coffee at a leadership retreat and wondering why the team has trust issues. Standards matter. Details matter. Fruit chunks matter. Because when you remove the preserves, you don’t just remove a condiment. You remove dignity from the biscuit, toast, etc. My plea to the restaurant industry To every restaurant in the world, Bring back the strawberry preserves. Put them on the table. Put them in the basket. Put them next to the butter where they belong. Let the hard working people of this world open a tiny container and see real strawberry pieces staring back at them like breakfast still believes in excellence. We deserve more than a smashed up sugar smear pretending to be fruit. We deserve texture. We deserve honesty. We deserve berries we can identify without a lab report. This is not complicated. This is not political. This is not a focus group issue. This is breakfast justice. So, I say this with all the sincerity of a man who has had one too many dry biscuits, Bring. Back. The. Preserves. We, the real strawberries of the world, approve of this message! Follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for more info! • You’re Not Behind, You’re Recalibrating

Written by Pia L. King, "SoulPrenuer" Coach Pia L. King's journey is a powerful story of resilience, transformation, and unyielding determination. With a rich background as a seasoned social worker, visionary entrepreneur, and expert in mental health, alternative wellness, and personal development, Pia has carved a path that inspires and impacts countless lives. There comes a moment in midlife when many women quietly look around at their lives and wonder: “Did I miss my moment?” Careers may no longer feel fulfilling. Relationships shift. Children grow older. Health changes. Energy changes. Priorities change. The life that once made sense suddenly feels heavy, disconnected, or emotionally exhausting. In a culture obsessed with constant productivity, reinvention, and achievement, many women begin interpreting this transition as failure. But what if you’re not failing? What if you’re recalibrating? Many high-functioning women are not actually behind in life. They are simply exhausted from surviving for too long in environments that required them to constantly overperform, overgive, and override their own emotional and physical needs. For years, many women, especially caregivers, helping professionals, and high achievers, have lived in chronic survival mode. They learned how to stay productive while emotionally depleted. They became experts at holding everything together while quietly falling apart internally. From the outside, they appear accomplished. Inside, however, many are battling burnout, decision fatigue, emotional numbness, chronic stress, financial anxiety, and nervous system exhaustion. This is particularly common among women in midlife, where years of accumulated stress often begin surfacing through the body, relationships, emotions, and finances. What many people call “losing motivation” is often something much deeper. It is exhaustion. It is emotional overload. It is a nervous system asking for safety, rest, and restoration after years of functioning in overdrive. Unfortunately, modern culture rarely teaches women how to slow down without guilt. Instead, many are conditioned to believe their worth is tied to how much they produce, how much they sacrifice, or how much discomfort they can tolerate without breaking. As a therapist and financial wellness professional, I often see women who believe they need more discipline, more motivation, or another strategy to “fix” themselves. In reality, many do not need fixing. They need recovery. They need space to reconnect with themselves outside of survival mode. They need permission to redefine success in ways that prioritize peace, emotional regulation, financial clarity, health, and alignment instead of constant pressure. Recalibration is not laziness. It is not failure, and it is certainly not falling behind. Recalibration is the process of becoming honest about what no longer works. It is choosing to move differently after realizing that burnout is not a sustainable lifestyle. It is learning that calm is productive. That rest has value. That softness can coexist with strength and that slowing down is sometimes the very thing that allows clarity to emerge. For many women, midlife is not the ending they feared. It is the awakening they desperately needed. A chance to rebuild life with more intention. More truth. More alignment. More emotional and financial wellness. Perhaps this season is not asking you to push harder. Perhaps it is asking you to listen more deeply to yourself. Perhaps you are not behind at all. Perhaps you are finally beginning to move in alignment with who you were always becoming. Follow me on Instagram, LinkedIn, and visit my website for more info! Read more from Pia L. King Pia L. • Can Cabin Charters Make Sailing More Popular

Written by Eldin Basic, Yacht Charter Manager Eldin is a well-known yacht charter broker, arranging private yachts for sailing holidays in all the main sailing destinations, with a specific expertise in long-term yacht charters and luxury yacht charters in particular. The concept of yachting is undergoing a seismic shift. Whether you are an eco-conscious traveller or a time-poor executive, the newly launched yachts are not only becoming better equipped, adding better value and in some respects also cheaper to buy, but they bring new opportunities. In other words, yachting is no longer reserved solely for the "buy-out" elite, knowledgeable sailors, or those born around the sea, as there is a new kid on the block. The Cabin Charter model is democratising luxury, allowing everyone, from solo-travellers, couples, and small groups to book a private stateroom/s on both luxury yachts as well as high-end vessels. With A2A-Yachting, you can hop on a sailboat from as little as 300 EUR per week in some instances, for example, while a luxury high-end suite on one of the latest mega yachts has possibly no upward limit. I set out in this article to explain what types of cabin charter you can consider. For Brainz Magazine readers, this isn't just about "sharing a boat", it’s about sailing as cheaply as possible, enjoying a quality sailing week, maybe also enjoying a bit of luxury service or at the upper end, accessing million-dollar horizons, world-class crews, and niche itineraries at a fraction of the cost of a full charter. So what’s out there and where can you charter yachts on a cabin basis? 1. The Mediterranean: The epicenter of cabin culture The Mediterranean remains the gold standard for cabin charters, blending historical port-hopping with sophisticated beach club culture. This is where you can have a choice and start sailing from as little as 300 EUR per berth in a cabin share or hire a cabin in one of the world's latest mega yachts with almost no upper limit. Croatia & The Adriatic: The most options available The "Mini-Cruiser" phenomenon is unique to South Dalmatia, a part of Croatia that attracts the largest crowds in the summer. Large, locally built luxury motor-sailers like the Casablanca (51-metre) offer up to 18 elegant cabins, blending a "boutique hotel" vibe with the ability to dock in the heart of unique islands such as Hvar or Korčula. For those seeking a modern edge, 2024/2026 launches like MAIA (53-metre) or ARGO (55-metre) are redefining the Adriatic aesthetic with ocean-liner silhouettes and amazingly created interiors plus exceptional beach clubs with extensive watertoys arsenals. While they do not allow individual cabin charter, they do allow larger parties to get together and you can find them on our website. That said there are other similar boats that do so and there is always a choice as it will depend on the number of persons, budget and level of luxury required. Smaller boats, both monohulls and catamarans, however, offer cabin charters from as little as 1,250 Eur per person per week with a great number of services included. One of the best examples is the Upwind 50 catamaran, which also offers retreat-type sailing weeks, with 30-min yoga, pilates, breathwork, and meditation sessions each morning. Fully inclusive service with crew, all fresh market food and local drinks included in high season is rather 2,500 Eur per person, yet given that’s on offer, young professionals, those keen on mind and personal development with a desire to combine this with an active sailing, hiking and swimming or snorkelling week cannot do much better. Low-budget cabin charters: What’s the cheapest way to start sailing If your budget is tiny, however, and you can get together with other individuals, and choose an out-of-season week, the price for a simple berth in a shared cabin can cost as little as 300 EUR per person on smaller 36-40ft sailing boats. These are at times called cabin voyages, at other times cabin cruises, or even sail shares as the lowest cost entry modes. Here you sail with friends, while island-hopping through some spectacular destinations. With cabin charters, no experience is needed as the crew on board takes care of all navigation, moorings and anchorages while also preparing breakfasts and light lunches. Dinners are usually taken in local taverns and restaurants if needed. Typically, these types of charters may be low budget, but they can be fun. During the day, you wake up with a new view, relax on deck while having breakfast, and then swim, snorkel, and sail between islands in the company of like-minded new friends. You can also make multiple stopovers for another SUP paddle boarding, kayaking or a swim and hiking or sightseeing along the way. Once on your new overnight anchorage, you would normally shower, change, and get out to explore local offerings, tourist trails, buy souvenirs, and taste food in one of the many delightful local restaurants. At night, you could even play guitar on deck, sing songs, dance or just stargaze, before retreating to you private or shared cabin. Greece & Italy: A great way to start sailing in luxury Similar to Croatia, the Ionian and Aeolian islands are best explored via 40-60ft sailing boats or catamarans. These "floating apartments" offer incredible stability and social spaces. Cabin charters here often include a professional skipper and chef, focusing on farm-to-table dining and secluded swim stops in the Cyclades or the Amalfi Coast. While they may not have mini cruisers, some specialty boats, of which there will be talk in the paragraphs below, will hit some of the harbours in both countries. These types of boats are new, are launching these days or may just about be sailing first time this week and offer unprecedented luxury where singles or couples can enjoy a genuine UHNWI lifestyle at a fraction of the cost of what chartering such a yacht privately would cost. Almost identical deals are available elsewhere in the Med, in particular in other parts of Italy and the South of France, or at times also in Turkiye. 2. Beyond the med: Seychelles, Maldives & The Caribbean When the European winter sets in, the cabin charter market migrates to equatorial paradises. Seychelles This is the realm of the larger luxury catamaran and "mega-cat (pricing is much higher too), where you explore tropical climate, exotic wildlife, coral reefs, rainforests and azure lagoons." Because the islands are spread out, a cabin charter on a vessel like the Lagoon 620 or customized 70ft+ power cats, or at times also an 80ft sailing catamaran, provides a mobile base to reach the outer islands (Les Amirantes, Aldabra, or Alphonse) that are otherwise inaccessible. This is where an African connection with Tanzania is also rising rapidly. A new trend for 2026 is the extended Indian Ocean circuit. Expedition yachts like the Aqua Lares (77m) with pricing between 10,000 - 60,000 US$’s approximately, are now offering cabin charters that combine the granite boulders of the Seychelles with the spice-scented coast of exceptional Zanzibar, so a European yacht charter broker who recently moved to the country and offers private yacht charters out of this exceptional destination. This is ideal for potential sailors wanting to pair a world-class dive expedition with cultural immersion. The Maldives The "Floating Villa" Concept In the Maldives, the 40-60ft catamaran is being reimagined as a "Moving Villa." There are now cabin charter offers that allow guests to wake up in a different atoll every morning, thus avoiding the stationary nature of traditional overwater bungalows while maintaining the luxury of a private chef and snorkeling guide. Caribbean options: The British Virgin Islands (BVI) & Grenadines The East Caribbean is the spiritual home of the catamaran. Cabin charters here are synonymous with "barefoot luxury" high-end performance sailing combined with an informal, social atmosphere. And while cabin charters here cannot be organised on larger distances, each Windward or Leeward destination is individual in its own right and as such ideal for exploration and sailing adventures, networking and yachting lifestyle for newcomers or those seeking a more social way of sailing. Belize, Baja California and Bahamas The variety of the Americas is huge, and between these three destinations, the difference cannot be bigger. You can sail to Belize to check out one of the largest coral reefs in the world, enjoy its calm waters, favourable trade winds and almost 500 isolated cayes amongst one of the toughest sailing routes in the tropical Caribbean Sea. Sea of Cortez around La Paz offers complete relaxation and an opportunity to see many sea animals, such as whales or sea lions, while sailing amongst up to 1000 islands. In the Bahamas, it is well-known that crystal-clear turquoise waters attract millions each year, with other options to sail to secluded cays, world-class beaches, and up to 750 beautiful low-lying islands in both the Abacos and the Exumas. 3. The new titans: Superyachts & "sea-suites" If a normal cabin charter or sail share would not do, five-star luxury is now also available. As mentioned above, the seismic change is already happening, and it will hit countries such as Italy and Croatia very soon. 2026 marks the arrival of the "Ultra-Luxe Cabin" category. Imagine wanting this superyacht lifestyle but having to hire the yacht privately and fully, just on your own. It would be unlikely any mere mortal would be able to afford that. Now you can have a luxury cabin and embark on a sailing holiday as a genuine ultra-high net worth individual by spending a fraction of the total cost needed to experience this level of high-end, ultimate luxury at sea. At SuperSailYachts, we have recently announced three major launches that are blurring the line between a private superyacht and a six-star hotel: Four Seasons Yacht: First amongst the extraordinary This 207m (679ft) has debuted recently and features 95 suites with floor-to-ceiling windows. The "Funnel Suite" spans four levels. The world’s first true “Four Seasons at Sea” experience. What sets this vessel apart is not just scale but the hospitality DNA behind it. With this superyacht, Four Seasons is translating its land‑based ultra‑luxury service model into a purpose‑built yacht with each suite featuring floor‑to‑ceiling windows and private terraces. The signature “Funnel Suite” is a standout: Spanning four levels, Featuring a private wading pool, Offering panoramic 280° views, Functioning more like a floating penthouse than a suite. The yacht is designed to feel like a boutique resort rather than a cruise ship, with low guest density, oversized public spaces, and a service ratio that mirrors top-tier Four Seasons properties. Cabin charter is available already now and bookings are open. The vibe: A 1:1 guest-to-crew ratio will apparently ensure that cabin charter guests receive the same intuitive service found at a Four Seasons land resort. Four Seasons Yacht's unique selling point: She is marketed as the first vessel to merge superyacht spatial philosophy with a globally recognised luxury hotel brand, delivering consistency, privacy, and ultra‑personalised service at scale. Orient Express Corinthian: Largest sailing yacht in the world The 220m (722ft) is the world’s largest sailing yacht. It uses "SolidSail" technology and offers 54 luxury suites, expected to debut in May 2026 in the Adriatic. The world’s largest sailing yacht is not only a technological statement. Corinthian is defined by its groundbreaking, rigid, 1,500m² sail system, called SolidSail, that allows a vessel of this size to operate with dramatically reduced emissions. At 220 metres, she becomes the largest sailing yacht ever built, blending heritage, engineering innovation, and environmental ambition. Key distinctions: 54 luxury suites, each styled with Orient Express’ Art Deco‑inspired aesthetic. A design ethos that merges the romance of classic rail travel with modern maritime architecture. A debut planned for May 2026 in the Adriatic, positioning her as a cultural and experiential flagship for the region. The vibe: Orient Express will apparently feature restaurants overseen by 3-Michelin-star chef Yannick Alléno, making it a destination for culinary enthusiasts amongst those who are looking for an exceptional sailing cabin charter experience. Unique selling point: A fusion of monumental scale, sailing‑yacht identity, and eco‑forward propulsion. No other vessel combines these elements. Aman at Sea (Amangati): The endgame starts next year The 183m (600ft) Aman at Sea is due to launch in 2027. This vessel brings Aman’s "peaceful motion" philosophy to the water with just 47 expansive suites. Aman’s “peaceful motion” philosophy brought to the ocean. Amangati is the most intimate of the three, with just 47 suites, an extraordinarily low guest count for a 183‑metre vessel. This is deliberate: Aman is not building a cruise ship, it is building a floating sanctuary. What makes it unique: Suites designed as private residences, many with wraparound terraces. A wellness‑centric layout with Aman‑style spa, Japanese‑influenced design language, and ultra‑quiet engineering. A focus on tranquillity, privacy, and slow‑living, the same qualities that define Aman’s most iconic resorts. Launching in 2027, Amangati is positioned as the most exclusive and meditative of the new ultra‑luxury fleet. The vibe: The Amangati yacht is announced to feature a 1,190 m2 Aman Spa, including a hammam and unique serenity zones, thus positioning the cabin charter as a week-long mobile retreat. Aman’s unique selling point: The lowest guest density and most residential, resort‑like atmosphere of any vessel in its class. 4. Other emerging destinations If you are looking for the "next" frontier in cabin charters, keep an eye on these hotspots: French Polynesia: Specifically, the Society Islands (Bora Bora, Raiatea). The lagoon-heavy geography makes 50ft catamarans the only way to truly experience the atolls. The Sea of Cortez (Mexico): Often called the "World's Aquarium," due to a huge array of sea life and Jacque Cousteau’s research, it is attracting a surge of boutique cabin charters focused on eco-luxury and wildlife encounters. Thailand (Phuket & Phang Nga Bay): High-end catamarans are now offering cabin runs through the limestone karsts, providing a luxury alternative to the crowded day-trip circuit. Belize: A long-established yacht charter location where cabin charter may be a preferred way of going around the country’s coastline. The "new luxury" choice The rise of cabin charters reflects a change in traveler values: ‘’access over ownership’’. Whether it’s a 45ft Lagoon catamaran in the Grenadines, a 50ft Upwind 50 in Croatia, or a suite on the Orient Express sailing past Venice, the ability to book by the cabin ensures that the most beautiful waters on Earth are no longer behind a theatrical velvet rope. It is now accessible to many, at least hard-working amongst us. Final thought For the typical Brainz Magazine reader, one who may not be sailing at all or ever again, the cabin charter could also be the ultimate networking opportunity. When sailing with others, you are on a moving retreat, a resort with a friendly environment where you share a sunset with like-minded global citizens, without the logistical burden of managing a full crew, and where modern, experiential yachting works well as a platform for wellness, high-concept gastronomy, and carbon-conscious travel. Whatever the choice, life on board charter yachts, including cabins, is becoming more luxurious at any level. Even smaller 40ft boats have a Starlink for permanent WiFi access, air conditioning, and a watermaker, and in many cases also washing machines and projectors for outdoor cinemas are on board. Best of all, the sustainable luxury has gained acceptance so much so that the readers of Brainz magazine do not have to worry much about the impact on the environment or green credentials, with some yachts boasting an ultimate environmentally friendly approach, where even cleaning fluids are organic. The latest cabin charter vessels are also integrating hybrid Propulsion with many of the new 60ft catamarans in the Med now being silent yachts, utilising solar-electric motors to eliminate noise and fumes during sunset moorings and captains creating zero-plastic itineraries, with yachts having atmospheric water generators and sustainable "local farm-to-yacht" sourcing procedures. The new boardroom: The networking power of the shared charter For the Brainz Magazine audience, a cabin charter could be more than a vacation, it could also be a high-level networking event by the sea. Unlike a 1000-guest cruise or a private hotel stay, booking a cabin on a luxury catamaran or a boutique mini-cruiser places you in an intimate environment, in most cases with four to twelve like-minded individuals. These are often entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, and global creatives who value discreet luxury and experiential travel. Some may even become your friends or clients. Best of all, family living lifestyle on board the cabin charter yachts offers the unique "yachting lifestyle" which acts as a natural social lubricant. Whether it’s a shared sunrise yoga session on the flybridge of Upwind 50, or an impromptu business brainstorm over locally sourced snorkelling gear in a secluded Croatian cove, the barriers of formal networking vanish. On vessels like the new Orient Express Corinthian or the Amangati, the communal spaces from high-concept bars to beach club platforms are designed specifically to foster informal and friendly connections between individuals based in any country around the planet. In 2026, the "cabin" isn't just where you sleep, it's your ticket into a mobile, floating mastermind group, regardless of budget available. Let’s go sailing, therefore! But lately, I’ve been sitting with a new question, one that’s gently reshaping how I see trust altogether, "What would change if I approached trust with awareness instead of assumption?" Not suspicion. Not walls. Just, discernment. Because when I look closer, I realize something important, that my ability to trust others has always been deeply tied to how much I trust myself. I trust first, and when someone shows me they aren’t worthy of that trust, I let go. That letting go isn’t bitterness, it’s self-respect. So, what happens when we recalibrate our trust instinct? When we stop seeing trust as all-or-nothing and start seeing it as a living, breathing choice? Trust begins with you Before trust ever becomes about someone else, it’s about your relationship with yourself. When you trust your own intuition, your ability to notice, feel, and respond, you don’t need to guard your heart with fear. You can stay open and grounded. Trusting yourself means believing you’ll recognize misalignment when it shows up. It means knowing you’ll act when something no longer feels right. That kind of self-trust gives you freedom. You don’t need to control outcomes because you trust your ability to navigate them. Action step: Ask yourself, "Do I trust my inner knowing to guide me when something feels off?" If the answer is yes, remind yourself of that often. Caution isn’t the same as closing off Approaching someone with a note of caution doesn’t mean assuming the worst. It simply means allowing trust to unfold naturally instead of handing it over all at once. Think of trust as something you grow, not something you grant blindly. You can be kind, open, and curious while still paying attention. This subtle shift creates space for discernment without sacrificing connection. Action step: The next time you meet someone new, observe how they show up over time instead of rushing to fill in the gaps with hope or expectation. Letting go is an act of self-respect One of the most powerful aspects of trusting others is knowing when to stop. Letting go when someone shows they don’t deserve your trust isn’t a failure, it’s a success. It’s proof that you listened to yourself. Releasing trust doesn’t mean closing your heart. It means honoring your boundaries. It means choosing yourself without guilt. Action step: Reflect on a time you let go of trust gracefully. What did that moment teach you about your strength and clarity? How recalibrated trust shapes life choices When your trust instinct is aligned, your decisions become clearer. You’re less likely to overextend, overgive, or over-explain. You make choices from wisdom instead of hope alone. This kind of trust supports healthier relationships, better boundaries, and more aligned opportunities, because you’re no longer outsourcing your discernment. You’re partnering with it. Action step: Notice where you may be giving trust automatically. Ask yourself if a slower, more intentional approach might serve you better. The Wise Woman says Trust doesn’t have to be earned, or blindly given. It can be felt, observed, and chosen over time. When you trust yourself first, you free yourself to trust others wisely. Recalibrating your trust instinct isn’t about becoming guarded. It’s about becoming grounded. It’s about honoring both your openness and your intuition. When you trust yourself, you always land on your feet, no matter who proves worthy of walking beside you. Follow me on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and visit my website for more info! • Five Shifts Many Gay Men Experience After 50

Written by Loren Crawford, Founder and Coach Loren Crawford spent decades helping others find their purpose before he fully claimed his own. Now he guides gay men over 50 into their next chapter, with clarity, courage, and a little fire. He shares his wisdom on The Wisdom Trust Podcast, in essays, and through one-on-one coaching. After launching The Wisdom Trust podcast and conducting over fifty in-depth conversations with gay men over 50, two fundamental truths have emerged. First, we are nothing like what our younger selves imagined we'd be at this stage of life. The sedentary, resigned aging we witnessed in our 60s back then? That's not our reality. Many of us in our 50s, 60s, and 70s are living vibrant, active lives with maybe a few more aches and pains. Second, and more profoundly, many of us experience a significant shift in perspective and curiosity about what's yet to come. We've survived so much, the sexual revolution, the decimation of AIDS, and ongoing attacks on our rights and identities. And we continue to find strength. For many, the external focus moves inward. This is where the real transformation begins. What triggers this inner shift? All humans experience a midlife recalibration. Some consciously make changes, discovering that what once brought joy no longer does. Others double down on the familiar, raising their middle finger to aging through denial or avoidance. Both are choices. But those who make the inner pivot, who lean into the discomfort of transformation, typically experience five significant shifts that reshape how they move through the world. The five shifts many gay men experience after 50 1. They stop performing and start asking who they really are Years of adapting to survive, to fit in, to succeed, to be desired, this external fabric no longer fits. Deeper questions emerge. What do I actually want now? Who am I without the roles? What parts of me have I abandoned to belong? There's more introspection, emotional honesty, and spiritual connection. Less need for approval. For many, the realization hits that I've built a successful life, but I'm not actually living it. This recognition, while sometimes painful, becomes the catalyst for authentic living. 2. Social circles become smaller, but infinitely more real Gay community culture has long been built around activity, image, nightlife, status, and youth. But many 50+ men lose interest in surface-level connections. They pull away from certain social obligations, performative spaces, competitive dynamics, and friendships built solely on partying or shared history. This transition can feel lonely at first, perhaps why some avoid it. But it gives way to something deeper, a craving for depth over volume. These men find themselves drawn to meaningful conversations, emotional safety, brotherhood, purpose-driven community, and relationships where they are actually seen. Movements centered around genuine connection become essential. 3. They shift from chasing excitement to seeking meaning What once felt thrilling, the bars, hookups, travel, achievements, consumption, busyness, no longer delivers an emotional payoff. These men find themselves drawn to things that previously didn't interest them: meditation, nature, spirituality, creativity, volunteering, mentorship, wellness, deeper learning, and purpose work. The shift in values genuinely surprises many, but they welcome it. The question changes from "What will make me feel stimulated?" to "What will make me feel whole?" This is not a resignation. It's evolution. 4. They become less reactive to the external world Many who were highly externally referenced, chasing attention, success, trends, appearance, validation, find new emphasis on what's inward. This isn't apathy. It's a new perspective: the world will always be chaotic, approval is temporary, youth is fleeting, and identity based only on the external leads to suffering. They become calmer, more selective about where they place their energy. There's no longer a need to win arguments, be right, or prove themselves. Inner peace becomes more valuable than external recognition. This is freedom. 5. They start letting go of the life that no longer fits This is perhaps the hardest shift. Gay men at this stage need to grieve old identities, unrealistic fantasies, people they've outgrown, coping mechanisms, and versions of success that were never truly theirs. Careers and relationships may end because they no longer serve. The pretense of fulfillment stops when internal alignment becomes the priority. In letting go, they create a sense of wholeness that all those years of striving failed to achieve. They step into eldership not because they have all the answers, but because they've become more authentic, more grounded, and more deeply connected to what actually matters. A word on community and eldership Many gay men will read this and say that's not my reality, and that's okay. We all have our own journeys. Ideally, as a community, we can recognize our brothers and love them simply for who they are. We've endured a lifetime of being scorned, ridiculed, persecuted, abused, rejected, and feared. These experiences sometimes get projected back onto others within our community. We judge, ridicule, and turn our noses up at gays who don't fit a certain mode or aesthetic. We do this at our own peril. When we turn on each other, two things happen. First, it reveals that external reactions are reflections of our inner world, and what does that say about ourselves? Second, it weakens us as a collective power and serves those who continue to deny us. We remain fractured when we should be whole. We are pioneers. We are the first generation to establish what eldership looks like for gay men. We cannot forget the beautiful souls we lost to AIDS. That grief and unresolved trauma festers within many of us. As we consciously build our eldership model, there is room for all perspectives, whether earned through activism and survival or evolved through integration and becoming. When made from a heart-based perspective, eldership will be inclusive and whole. Start your journey today Over the coming weeks, months, and years, The Wisdom Trust will highlight individuals exploring this stage of life through our podcast. We learn through storytelling and sharing the history of humanity and what binds us as a community. Not all stories will resonate, but in interviewing these incredible everyday men, a thread of their stories runs through our own. We're building a virtual community where gay men over 50 can dive deeper into these five shifts. It's a forum for rich conversation and connection, not about fixing, not therapy, but about finding the deeper connections many of us are craving. Ready to explore what's possible? • Why Love Alone is Not Enough for a Healthy Relationship

Written by Jessie Rose, Relationship Identity Breakthrough Coach Jessie Rose, a Relationship and Identity Coach, helps individuals overcome emotional and physical barriers to unlock their true potential. Through her personalized coaching programs, she empowers clients to achieve lasting transformation in their relationships, health, and overall well-being. Love is often seen as the foundation of a relationship. While it is essential, it is not sufficient. Relationships are not sustained by love alone. They are shaped by awareness, regulation, communication, and the ability to relate consciously. Without these, even strong feelings can become distorted through reactivity, misunderstanding, and unmet needs. We do not relate from love alone In relationships, individuals do not relate only from who they are in the present. They also relate from past experiences, emotional imprints, unmet needs, and protective patterns. This means that in moments of stress or disconnection, responses are often not about what is happening now but about what is being activated internally. What is felt in the present is often amplified by what has not yet been resolved. This is why relationships can feel intense, confusing, or disproportionate. Not because something is wrong, but because something deeper is being touched. The importance of knowing yourself in and out of relationships A meaningful relationship requires more than understanding another person. It requires understanding yourself, not only who you are when things feel easy, but how you respond when connection feels uncertain, what you experience when you feel unseen or unheard, what you need in order to feel safe, connected, and valued, and to know what your wounds and triggers are, and how to process them and manage them. It also requires the capacity to own your voice and speak from love, rather than pain. Without self-awareness, communication becomes reactive rather than intentional. From reaction to relating There is a fundamental difference between reacting and relating. Reacting is automatic, emotionally driven, often rooted in past patterns. Relating is aware, responsive, and grounded in the present. The ability to move between these states is influenced by the nervous system. Being present with self, and with your partner, is ultimately what we’re all craving when we experience disconnection or dissatisfaction of any kind. The role of regulation in intimacy Intimacy requires the capacity to remain present, but when the nervous system is dysregulated, communication becomes defensive or avoidant. Perception becomes distorted, and connection becomes more difficult to sustain. Intimacy begins to break down. In contrast, when individuals are more regulated, they are able to listen without immediately reacting, own their voice and speak from a neutral place, and with love. They express themselves with greater clarity and remain connected, even during challenges. Regulation does not remove difficulty, but it allows connection to remain intact within it. Communicating from awareness, not from wounds One of the most important relational shifts is learning to communicate from awareness rather than from unresolved emotional states. This does not mean suppressing feelings. It means recognizing what you are feeling, where it may be coming from, and how to express it in a way that supports connection. There is a difference between expressing an emotion and reacting from it. When communication comes from awareness, it invites connection. When it comes from reactivity, it often reinforces disconnection. We always want to speak to improve connection and create solutions, rather than speaking for conflict, which encourages separation. Being heard and being received Communication is not only about expression. It is also about reception. Relational intelligence involves an awareness of how you communicate, how it is being experienced, and whether it creates openness or defensiveness. Because what you say is only part of communication. How it is delivered and how it is received shapes the outcome. Understanding and respecting differences One of the most overlooked aspects of relationships is not communication but perception. No two individuals experience the world in exactly the same way. Each person brings their own nervous system, their own conditioning, their own emotional history, and their own way of interpreting experience. This means that even within the same moment, two people can have entirely different internal realities. Difference is not dysfunction, it is an inherent part of relating. When difference becomes conflict Conflict often arises not because something is wrong but because difference is not understood. One person may need space, while the other needs closeness. One may process internally, while the other processes externally. One may respond quickly, while the other needs time. One may communicate kindly, and the other not. Without awareness, these differences can be interpreted as rejection, disconnection, or incompatibility. When in reality, they are often simply different ways of regulating and relating. Relational intelligence in practice Relational intelligence involves recognizing that your experience is valid, but not the only experience present. It requires the ability to stay connected to yourself while remaining open to another perspective. Respecting difference does not mean losing yourself. It means expanding your capacity to hold both experiences. Mutual responsibility for wellbeing In a healthy relationship, both individuals take responsibility for their own internal state, their responses, and their contribution to the dynamic. This is not about managing each other’s emotions. It is about recognizing how your state impacts the relational environment. A regulated individual contributes to a regulated relationship. What supports a healthy relationship At a foundational level, meaningful relationships are supported by: Self-awareness: Understanding your patterns, needs, and responses Emotional regulation: The ability to remain present in moments of intensity Clear communication: Expressing thoughts and feelings with awareness. Not just hearing, but receiving Respect for difference: Allowing both individuals to have their own experience Psychological safety: Creating an environment where both individuals can be themselves Intimacy is developed, not assumed Intimacy is not something that happens automatically. It is developed through presence, attention, and consistent relational awareness. It requires individuals to stay connected to themselves, remain open to the other, and navigate difference without losing connection. The relationship reflects the individuals within it A relationship cannot be more regulated than the individuals within it. Which is why self-relationship remains central. Because the way you relate to yourself shapes the way you relate to others. Why this matters beyond the emotional Human beings are biologically wired for connection. Relational experiences do not only shape how we feel, they directly influence the state of the nervous system. When relationships feel safe, supportive, and attuned, the nervous system is more regulated, stress responses reduce, and the body is better able to restore and maintain balance. In contrast, when relationships are characterized by unpredictability, disconnection, or ongoing tension, the system can remain in a more activated or protective state. Over time, this can influence emotional wellbeing, physiological stress responses, and overall health. This is why the quality of our relationships is not only emotionally significant but biologically relevant. A final reflection The quality of a relationship is not determined only by how much you care but by how you communicate, how you regulate, and how you show up in moments that matter. Intimacy is not created by love alone but by awareness in action. Together. A healthy relationship with self, first and foremost, then with others, is essential for healthy relational experiences, and ultimately leads to true life fulfillment. Or not. That’s up to you. • What is Not Shown is Not Chosen

Written by Catalina Brusnevsky, Executive & Life Coach Executive Coaching/Leadership a unique way to reach the Integrated Human Intelligence™ approach in the complex global environment and AI era Systems filter what we see, shaping our understanding and causing us to overlook options that remain hidden. If AI does not recommend you, you become invisible. Previously, being skilled was enough to be noticed. Reputation spread through personal connections. Opportunities arose from conversations. Value, even if not fully recognized, could still emerge. Today, this is no longer always the case. Increasingly, what we see is not just what exists, but what is selected, filtered, ranked, and presented. These choices are now often made by systems rather than people. This raises a critical question: If AI does not recommend you, do you exist in the world? This is not about judging technology as good or bad, but about understanding what has changed. We are shifting from a world where people searched and decided, to one where options are pre-selected before we begin. Recommendations now shape visibility, and visibility shapes reality. If something is not visible, it is not considered. However, the issue becomes more complex here. Artificial intelligence does not recognize value as humans do. It lacks understanding of depth, intention, and meaning. It recognises patterns. It amplifies what is repeated, structured, and optimized, rewarding clarity, consistency, and predictability. As a result, it can overlook anything that does not fit these patterns. This includes nuance, unconventional thinking, and alternative ways of processing and expressing intelligence. The kind of intelligence does not always appear in standard formats. The valuable people I have encountered would not be easily “recommended” by a system. They may not communicate in polished sentences, may require more time to respond, and often connect ideas in ways that are not immediately obvious. And yet, their contribution is undeniable. They notice what others miss, bring depth where others prioritize speed, and create understanding where others repeat information. However, in systems that prioritize recognizable patterns, these forms of intelligence risk being overlooked. In response to this shift, the natural reaction is to adapt. We strive to become more visible, more structured, and more aligned with what systems can easily interpret. There is nothing inherently wrong with that. The risk arises when adaptation leads to reduction. Simplifying to be seen, prioritising recognition over accuracy, or trading depth for visibility, we risk reducing ourselves. At that point, we are no longer simply adapting to the system. We begin to let the system shape our thinking. At this stage, the focus shifts to human judgment shaped by filtered visibility, not just technology. Because the real question is not whether AI will influence visibility. It already does. The real question is: What happens to human judgment when systems, rather than people, control visibility? When decisions are filtered before we make them, when options are narrowed before we explore them, when recommendations replace discovery, our role changes. Not visibly, but fundamentally. We move from active thinkers to recipients of curated reality. This is not a call to reject AI. It is a call to remain aware within it. To understand that what we see is not the full picture. That what is recommended is not always what is most valuable. And that what is not visible is not necessarily absent. This is also where a different kind of responsibility begins. Not only to be visible, but to remain whole in the process. To develop not just the ability to perform, but the ability to think, to question, to discern. To recognise when we are adapting, and when we are quietly reducing ourselves. This is the space I have been building through Signature Academy. Not as a reaction to artificial intelligence, but as a response to what it reveals. That intelligence is not singular. That value does not always follow predictable patterns. And that human judgment, awareness, and integration become even more essential when systems begin to mediate reality. The future will not belong to those who simply optimise for visibility. It will belong to those who understand how systems work, without being entirely shaped by them. Those who remain capable of depth in a world that rewards speed. Of judgment in a world that offers answers. Of awareness in a world that filters reality before it reaches us. The core issue is no longer just being good at what you do. It is whether you will be seen. And, more importantly, decide how you'll respond. Consider what steps you will take to maintain your authenticity while increasing visibility. Reflect on what you are willing and not willing to change in order to be seen. Take conscious action to shape your visibility with integrity. • Seven Healing Plants From the Amazon for Women’s Health

Written by Aaron Eschenburg, Ayahuascero and Astrotheologer Aaron Eschenburg is an Ayahuascero and Astrotheologer. He is the Founder and creator of Ancestral Herbs, a natural plant medicine company, and MiTranscendance Entheo Religious Society. Nature offers powerful remedies for women’s health, and the Amazon rainforest is home to plants with profound therapeutic properties. From Uvos Colorado for menstrual relief to Cat's Claw for immune support, these seven botanicals provide natural ways to ease pain, regulate hormones, and restore vitality. Learn how micro-dosing these herbs can support overall physical and mental well-being. 1. Uvos colorado: Pure moon The cellular shield and calmer Incredible for easing painful period cramps and menopause symptoms. This tree bark is rich in tannins and phenolic compounds, providing potent astringent and microbial properties. Extracts are clinically relevant in treating reproductive tract infections and managing abnormal vaginal discharge (leukorrhea). Its astringent nature also makes it valuable for postpartum recovery, assisting in the reduction of internal swelling and promoting healing of the vaginal canal. It physically tightens your tissues to make it harder for pathogens to slip through, while sending chemical signals to your nervous system to help it relax. Benefits of micro-dosing Builds a chemical wall around your cells so viruses bounce off. Stops painful muscle spasms in your stomach and reproductive organs. Eases menstrual cramps and menopause pains. Helps balance and regulate the menstrual cycle. Puts a protective coating over your brain cells to prevent wear and tear. Quiets down the physical symptoms of anxiety in your body. Strengthens the protective linings of your internal organs. 2. Bobinsana: Pure heart The blood-flow booster The heart-opening plant of the Amazon, revered as an emotional support supplement that also helps ease arthritis pain. It is primarily utilized as a uterine tonic. Scientific observation suggests its efficacy in managing dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation) due to its anti-inflammatory properties, specifically its role as a COX-2 inhibitor. It is also traditionally administered as a depurative to support the reproductive system following childbirth, aiding in the restoration of uterine tone and hormonal equilibrium. The medicinal bark acts as a natural painkiller and blood vessel opener. Unlike caffeine, which stresses the adrenal glands to provide energy, this plant increases energy by improving heart and blood vessel efficiency. A happy heart is a happy mind and body. Benefits of micro-dosing Widens blood vessels so your muscles and organs get more oxygen. Turns down the volume on your body's stress hormones. Relaxes tight, locked-up skeletal muscles. Provides physical energy without a jittery crash. Eases arthritis and lubricates stiff joints for pain-free movement. Restores uterine tone and hormonal balance. 3. Piñón colorado: Pure dreams The blood filter dream catcher Piñón Colorado contains high concentrations of flavonoids and lignans. It is scientifically significant for its hemostatic and emmenagogue properties. It is utilized to regulate irregular menstrual cycles and control excessive uterine bleeding (menorrhagia). The plant's compounds interact with the vascular system to modulate blood flow to the pelvic region, ensuring a more consistent and healthy menses. Focusing on the bloodstream, it acts like a sponge, soaking up toxins while coating blood vessels to prevent virus attachment. It also works as a sleep aid, allowing deep rest without grogginess, tapping into the dream world to pull visions into the physical world. Benefits of micro-dosing Disarms toxins in the blood before they damage arteries. Supports the liver in filtering harmful substances. Stops invading viruses from replicating. Rapidly reduces swelling from localized injuries. Acts as a natural sleep aid that enhances dream activity. 4. Banisteriopsis caapi: Pure being The brain-cell builder Also known as the Ayahuasca vine, but not to be confused with the psychedelic ceremonial brew. The B. caapi vine contains beta-carboline alkaloids, including harmine, harmaline, and tetrahydroharmine. These compounds function as reversible inhibitors of monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A). They support the management of Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) and postpartum depression by stabilizing serotonin levels. This facilitates neuroplasticity and emotional regulation, addressing psychological components of hormonal shifts. The vine acts like a temporary roadblock in your brain, slowing the breakdown of natural "feel-good" chemicals like serotonin and dopamine. These chemicals persist longer, allowing the brain to operate at a higher, more stable baseline. It offers many of the benefits of prescription SSRIs and microdosing psilocybin, with fewer harmful side effects. Benefits of micro-dosing Promotes growth of new brain cells, especially in memory centers. Stabilizes mood into a grounded, steady state. Reduces dangerous brain inflammation and swelling. Sharpens focus and aids in learning new information. Acts as a natural anti-anxiety and antidepressant. Supports Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder and postpartum depression. 5. Chuchuhuasi: Pure vitality The muscle and joint mechanics Chuchuhuasi is a cornerstone of Amazonian pharmacopeia, containing triterpenes and alkaloids like maytansine. It acts as a powerful phytoestrogen and analgesic, highly effective in treating Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) and mitigating the symptoms of endometriosis by reducing chronic inflammation. Additionally, its hormonal-modulating effects assist in increasing libido and alleviating vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes) associated with perimenopause. It chemically interrupts the signals your body sends when in chronic pain, while simultaneously stopping the specific proteins that cause massive swelling and tissue damage. In the jungle, it’s known as “trembling back,” and is the plant to work with when you’re in pain. This is a go-to natural remedy for any physical labor jobs that cause body aches and joint pain. Benefits of micro-dosing Cuts the wire on long-term, chronic pain signals. Melts away deep tension in muscles and connective tissue. Aids Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. Reduces hot flashes associated with perimenopause. Radically speeds up how fast the body repairs itself after hard physical work. Stops the immune system from attacking your own joints. Recharges baseline physical stamina from the ground up. 6. Uncaria tomentosa (cat's claw): Pure immunity The immune system upgrader Cat's Claw addresses autoimmune-related fertility issues, helping to reduce the size of uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts. Its anti-inflammatory action is systemic, supporting lymphatic drainage of the reproductive organs and enhancing overall immunological defense within the pelvic cavity. This vine acts as a biological construction crew and pharmacy within itself. It is packed with compounds that do two things: they repair broken DNA strands and build up white blood cells so the immune system functions like armor. It is truly nature’s remedy. Benefits of micro-dosing Repairs broken DNA strands. Reduces the size of ovarian cysts. Supports lymphatic drainage in reproductive organs. Increases white blood cells that target foreign invaders. Modulates body-wide inflammation. Shields red blood cells from toxin-induced damage. Supports gut and stomach lining repair. 7. Piñón blanco: Pure clarity The deep-tissue scrub brush Piñón Blanco is a highly concentrated biological purge. In the jungle, it is associated with the energy of great white light and is traditionally used as a purgative in concentrated tea doses to cleanse the gut and intestines. Its latex and oil contain diterpene esters. Diluted latex is applied in traditional gynecological practices as an antifungal agent, specifically to address persistent yeast infections (Candidiasis) and facilitate healing of cervical erosions or external lesions. Its biochemical action disrupts the cellular membranes of pathogenic fungi. Because its raw form is toxic, highly diluted extractions act as a rapid metabolic spark, targeting and destroying the cell walls of harmful bacteria and fungi. Benefits of micro-dosing Eliminates stubborn, hidden fungal and bacterial infections. Accelerates the body’s natural detoxification process. Promotes skin healing and cell turnover. Reboots digestion for optimal food transit. Triggers a fast, aggressive defense against unknown viruses. Thankfully, our friends at Ancestral Herbs work directly in the jungle alongside indigenous communities, making these old-world medicines available today. Created by the plants with human hands to cultivate them ethically and sustainably, these remedies offer a fresh, natural path to healing. Nature provides all we need. • 10 Reasons to Free Your Body

Written by Sara Brinell, Author, Speaker & Awareness Guide Sara has a unique ability to quickly shift energy into presence and joy through her work as a mindfulness coach, speaker, and yoga instructor. She is also the author of the book One With Nature (published in 2025) and a popular speaker in the field. We live in a world that constantly pulls us into the mind. We analyze, plan, scroll, perform, and forget that beneath all the thinking, there is a living body quietly carrying us through life. But the body is more than something we simply carry through life. It is part of how we feel, heal, connect, and experience being alive. It remembers. It communicates. It holds tension, emotions, joy, instinct, and everything we have lived through. Perhaps this is why it is so important, especially in the world we live in today, to become more conscious of the body and more present within ourselves. Maybe this is also why movement can feel so powerful, not just as exercise, but as a return to something essential. Through dance, breath, shaking, yoga, play, stillness, nature, and intuitive movement, we reconnect with something deeply human that modern life often asks us to suppress. Above all, movement allows us to let go of some of the seriousness we carry every day. It invites us to play again, to laugh, to explore, to move without constantly thinking about how we look or whether we are doing things “right.” Just like children do. Children move naturally, freely. They are present with their bodies in a way many adults have forgotten. Perhaps that is one of the greatest gifts of movement, it brings us back into the present moment. The truth is, the body is always here. It is the mind that travels into the past, worries about the future, or disappears into imagined realities. The body exists only now. As I often say, if you feel overwhelmed, stressed, or disconnected and do not know where you are, look down at your feet. Wherever your feet are, that is where you are, right now. 1. The body remembers what the mind overlooks Stress, grief, fear, shame, and trauma do not live only in our thoughts. They also live in the body. We can feel them in tight shoulders, shallow breathing, clenched jaws, heavy hips, chronic exhaustion, restless sleep, overwhelmed nervous systems, and the strange numbness that appears when we have been disconnected from ourselves for too long. Psychiatrist Bessel van der Kolk explores this in his book The Body Keeps the Score, describing how trauma is often carried physically within the nervous system long after an experience has ended. Perhaps healing begins the moment we stop treating the body as something separate from ourselves and start listening to what it has been trying to tell us all along. 2. The body was made to move The body was designed to move, not only through structured workouts or intense training, but in natural, flowing, intuitive ways, walking, stretching, dancing, breathing deeply, running. For most of human history, movement was simply part of life. We moved to gather food, build homes, care for children, carry water, work with the land, travel by foot, and survive alongside nature. The modern body, however, is transported almost everywhere without using its feet and spends long hours sitting still, often curved forward toward a screen. Most of us know the feeling: stiffness after spending too long on the couch, after a long flight, or after sitting indoors most of the day. The body begins to feel heavy, stagnant, almost forgotten. Movement increases circulation, supports the nervous system, releases tension, and gently shifts emotional states. It reminds the body that life is still flowing. There is something profoundly healing about allowing energy to move instead of forcing everything to stay contained. 3. The nervous system needs movement to release stress In nature, animals physically shake after stressful events to release survival energy from the body. Humans often interrupt this process. We suppress emotions, stay productive, sit still, and continue moving mentally long after the body has reached its limit. Gentle shaking, walking, or intuitive movement can help the nervous system regulate and soften again. Movement does not always have to look dramatic. Sometimes it is simply the breath moving through the body, or the willingness to sit quietly and listen to what is alive within you. Because the breath is directly connected to the nervous system, something as simple as slowing down the breath can gently signal to the body that it is safe to soften. The body does not always need to be “fixed.” Sometimes it simply needs permission to complete what it never got to finish. 4. Dance reconnects us with joy Human beings have danced for thousands of years, around fires, during rituals, in celebration, grief, love, prayer, and community. Dance allows us to step outside the constant need to explain ourselves. When we dance freely, even for a few moments, we often reconnect with something lighter and more alive within us. When movement meets music and other people, something deeply human awakens: connection, joy, and togetherness. For me personally, dance has become part of everyday life. I dance every day because it makes me feel alive, connected, and free. 5. Play is part of healing Children understand embodiment naturally. They roll on the floor, crawl, explore their feet, climb, laugh loudly, fall, recover, and move freely without overthinking. Babies lie on their backs holding their feet, a position known in yoga as “happy baby pose.” Somewhere along the way, many adults lose this relationship with the body. Movement becomes something we judge, discipline, or try to perfect. But healing often asks us to become explorers again: to move without needing to look good, to stay curious, to rediscover the intelligence of play. Being around children can feel so healing because they remind us of a freedom we once knew naturally. Perhaps part of healing is allowing ourselves to learn from children again: their curiosity, playfulness, presence, and natural connection to the body. 6. Nature helps the body remember balance The nervous system was never designed for constant noise, screens, pressure, and overstimulation. In nature, the body often softens automatically. Breathing deepens, thoughts slow, and we relax. Walking through a forest, climbing over rocks, stepping across streams, or hiking uneven paths activates the body in a natural and intuitive way again. At the same time, something inside us slows down. There is often more harmony in nature than in the environments we spend most of our days in. Walking barefoot on the earth, feeling sunlight on the skin, listening to water or wind through trees, these experiences reconnect us with rhythms older than modern life. Nature heals, but it also strengthens. Perhaps it affects us so deeply because we are not separate from nature; we are part of it. 7. Yoga teaches us how to listen Yoga is not only about flexibility or poses. At its core, yoga is a practice of awareness, a way of becoming present with yourself and building a deeper relationship with your body and soul. It invites us to notice breath, sensation, tension, emotion, resistance, and presence. Bessel van der Kolk also writes about yoga in The Body Keeps the Score, exploring how practices like yoga can help regulate the nervous system and support trauma healing. I began practicing yoga sixteen years ago when I was deeply depressed and completely disconnected from my body. Yoga became my way back to myself. It taught me stillness, breath, and presence, but above all, it taught me that I am here, living this life through a physical body. Through breath and movement, something inside me slowly began to heal. Even today, yoga remains an essential part of my life. It continually reminds me what a gift it is to be alive in this body. Many people discover that emotions surface during yoga, not because something is wrong, but because the body finally feels safe enough to open. Sometimes a stretch becomes a release, stillness becomes clarity, a deep breath becomes an opening, and a movement becomes curiosity and discovery. 8. The body holds wisdom We often search for answers outside ourselves, while the body constantly communicates through sensation: a tight chest, a sensation in the stomach, goosebumps, warmth, expansion, contraction. The body often responds before the mind fully understands. Modern life teaches us to distrust our feelings and override natural signals. We ignore exhaustion, push through stress, and silence discomfort. But the body continues speaking. When we reconnect with physical awareness, we begin hearing ourselves more clearly beneath the noise of expectation, pressure, distraction, and overthinking. Perhaps intuition is not mysterious; it may simply be the body speaking before the mind finds the words. 9. Freedom in the body creates freedom in life When the body feels restricted, life often feels restricted too. Many of us carry invisible patterns of holding: holding breath, holding emotions, holding tension, holding identity. Over time, these patterns become normal. We tighten ourselves emotionally and physically until we no longer notice. Movement can become a way of softening those internal walls, not to become someone else, but to return to who we were before fear taught us to shrink ourselves. There is a certain freedom that appears when the body no longer feels like a place of pressure, shame, performance, or control, but a place we can live inside with openness and trust. This freedom slowly begins to affect every part of life. 10. The body remembers the way home Perhaps the deepest reason to free the body is this: a disconnected body often leads to a disconnected life. When we return to movement, presence, breath, play, touch, rhythm, stillness, and nature, we return not only to ourselves but also to each other. Healing may not be about becoming a completely new person; it may be about remembering the person the body already knew how to be. • Why Midlife Metabolism Is Not Broken and the Truth Women Need to Hear

For years, women entering midlife and menopause have been told the same story, “Your metabolism slows down because you’re getting older.” This belief has created frustration, fear, shame, and an exhausting cycle of dieting, restriction, over-exercising, and self-blame. Many women begin to believe their body is suddenly working against them the moment they enter their 40s or move through menopause. But science, and the body itself, tells a different story. A groundbreaking study published in Science in 2021, titled Daily Energy Expenditure Through the Human Life Course, revealed something that challenges what many women have been taught for decades, human metabolism remains relatively stable from approximately ages 20 to 60. Yes, stable. This means the dramatic weight changes many women experience during midlife are not simply because their metabolism “shuts down” or “breaks” with age. So what is really happening? The answer is much deeper. For women in midlife, the body is not failing. It is responding to years of stress, overgiving, undernourishing, emotional suppression, chronic dieting, nervous system dysregulation, and putting everyone else before themselves. The body remembers all of it. Many women entering menopause are carrying decades of physical, emotional, energetic, and hormonal exhaustion. By the time the body reaches this sacred transition, it is no longer willing to operate under survival patterns that once seemed manageable. This is why so many women begin noticing increased fatigue, more inflammation, stubborn weight gain, sleep disruption, muscle loss, anxiety and nervous system sensitivity, slower recovery, and emotional heaviness. This is not punishment. This is communication. One of the greatest contributors to metabolic change during midlife is the gradual loss of muscle mass. Muscle is metabolically active tissue, meaning it helps the body utilize energy more efficiently. When women stop strength training, become sedentary, or spend years under-eating, the body naturally begins losing lean muscle. This has far more impact on metabolism than age alone. Another major factor is chronic stress. When the nervous system remains in survival mode for years, the body adapts by conserving energy. Elevated stress hormones can affect sleep, cravings, digestion, recovery, and emotional regulation. The body becomes protective rather than receptive. This is why restriction alone rarely works long term for women in midlife. The body does not heal through punishment. It heals through safety, nourishment, movement, recovery, and support. This is where the conversation around women’s health must evolve. Women do not need more shame around their bodies. They do not need more pressure to become smaller. They do not need another crash diet. They need reconnection. They need to understand that fueling the body is not weakness. Resting is not laziness. Building muscle is not masculine. Eating enough protein is not “too much.” Slowing down does not mean giving up. Midlife is not the end of vitality. It is the invitation to redefine it. This season of life asks women to stop fighting their body and begin listening to it. Strength training becomes essential not to “burn calories,” but to preserve independence, mobility, confidence, bone health, balance, and longevity. Breathwork becomes important because the nervous system cannot heal while constantly activated. Nourishment becomes sacred because the body requires support, not deprivation. Sleep becomes medicine. Boundaries become healing and emotional release becomes just as important as physical movement. Menopause is not simply hormonal. It is transformational. It is the body asking, "Will you continue surviving, or will you finally support the woman you are becoming?" For many women, this transition becomes the beginning of reclaiming themselves, not the younger version, not the exhausted version, not the version shaped by societal expectations, but the wiser version. The woman who understands her body is not the enemy. The woman who realizes healing is not about shrinking herself, but strengthening herself from the inside out. The woman who learns that metabolism is not only physical, it is energetic, emotional, hormonal, spiritual, and deeply connected to how safe the body feels. The truth is this, your body is not broken. Your body has been communicating all along. Perhaps menopause is not the collapse society taught women to fear. Perhaps it is the sacred portal guiding women back to their power, wisdom, nourishment, strength, and wholeness. Follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and visit my website for more info! • Does Hypnosis Work on People with ADHD?

Written by Ole Hill, Success Hypnotist Ole is Australia’s best hypnotist, working with business owners, entrepreneurs, and athletes to level up their performance. The myth is that "strong-willed" and ADHD people cannot be hypnotised. The reality is closer to the opposite, the traits that make someone strong-minded, focused, imaginative, the ability to commit fully to an idea, and intellectual engagement, are the same traits that correlate with high hypnotisability. What actually predicts low responsiveness isn't strength of will; it's active resistance or distrust of the process or fear of "losing control," which keeps the critical filter cranked up and resistant to change. Even this type of person can be hypnotised, it just takes longer. A strong-minded person who chooses to engage tends to be an excellent hypnotic subject because they can direct their attention powerfully and commit to the experience. The belief "I'm too strong-minded to be hypnotised" is usually the only obstacle, and it's a conscious belief, not part of a person’s genetic makeup or true psychology. ADHD This one is more nuanced, and the answer surprises people. ADHD brains can absolutely benefit from hypnosis, but the approach often needs adjusting. The complication Classical hypnotic induction relies on sustained, focused attention, which is precisely the executive function that ADHD affects. A long, slow, monotone induction can lose an ADHD client, their attention drifts, they get restless, and they start narrating internally. Our technique is adjusted for this kind of client. Realise that if you're managing to read this right now, your focus isn't that bad anyway. The opportunity People with ADHD often have a higher capacity for hyperfocus and vivid imagination than the general population. When something captures their interest, their absorption is intense. They also tend to score well on measures of fantasy proneness and imaginative involvement, both linked to hypnotic responsiveness. What tends to work better with ADHD clients: Shorter, more dynamic inductions rather than long progressive relaxation Engaging multiple senses and using vivid imagery Movement-based or active inductions in some cases More frequent "anchoring" back to the focus point Working with the hyperfocus tendency rather than fighting distractibility Clinically, hypnosis can have a large impact on ADHD-related issues, emotional regulation, sleep onset, rejection sensitivity, task initiation, and the anxiety that often accompanies ADHD. The bottom line If someone is curious enough to ask the question, they're already a great candidate. The people who genuinely struggle with hypnosis are those who actively do not want it to work or who have had a negative experience with a practitioner in the past.
