We all know that the world around us has an impact on our health and wellbeing. We can feel it when we go outside when we are near someone who is angry or sad when we are in a crowded room full of negative people, or surrounded by clutter.

Subtle energy is the energy that exists in the environment around us. It is a form of energy that people may not be able to see or touch, but intuitive coaching can have a powerful effect on our lives when utilizing subtle energy.

What most people have concerns with is the science behind subtle energy and how it can create a work-life balance.

How Does Stress Affect the Human Body

Stress is a natural response to external stimuli. It is the body's way of preparing itself for a potential threat or challenge. Stress can be acute, chronic, or both.

Cortisol is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands that regulate the physical and mental response to stress. The effects of cortisol are increased blood sugar, increased blood pressure, and decreased immune function.

Cortisol helps us recover from stress and prepare for the next challenge. When we are constantly stressed, cortisol levels remain high. This can lead to long-term health problems—both physical and mental. This is why stress management is crucial to work-life balance.

The body is going through an adaptive process to survive. Cortisol levels are dependent on the amount of stressors present and the individual's relative level.

The Connection Between Subtle Energy and Our Health

Meridians and the Primo Vascular System

Meridians are pathways for subtle energy. Each meridian corresponds to one or more internal organs with a specific function in the body.

In ancient Chinese medicine, meridians can be stimulated by acupoints, located near the surface of the skin. Acupoints may be stimulated manually (with fingers or needles), by using heat (with hot stones), cold (with ice), or electrical stimulation.

An acupoint is a point on the body that corresponds to a line drawn from one of the extremities, called a "meridian", where it crosses another meridian. They allow for better communication between internal organs and surrounding tissues.

A South Korean study shows that meridians do exist. They refer to it as the primo vascular system (PVS) and it was identified using Alcian blue dye to trace the pathways.

The PVS is a system of vessels and nodes that transport various cells and may be an optical channel for biophotons, a form of electromagnetic radiation emitted from all living organisms. Traces of hormones like adrenaline indicate that the PVS may also be an endocrine organ.

The Pineal Gland and Perceiving Subtle Energy with Your Third Eye

The pineal gland is a small, pinecone-shaped endocrine gland in the brain. It's also called the "third eye," and it produces serotonin, melatonin, and other hormones that regulate sexual development, circadian rhythms, and seasonal functions.

The pineal gland is considered to be the third eye because it allows us to sense magnetic and vibrational energy—like subtle energy.

Biofields and Subtle Energy Healing

Biofields are subtle energy fields that surround and penetrate the human body. They are generated by a person’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energies.

The biofield extends beyond the body to include the environment around us. It is said that the biofield is like an electromagnetic field that can be sensed by those who are sensitive to its vibrations. Biofields exist everywhere in nature.

A stronger biofield is an increased capacity for life force energy to flow through and around the body. Biofield practitioners use a variety of techniques to manipulate biofields and use them for various purposes.

Some of these techniques include reiki, healing touch, therapeutic touch, pranic healing, and many others. They can also be used to detect long-term issues in their early stages.

A stronger biofield can hold your own energy and it can be a powerful tool for self-healing. Some of the benefits of having a stronger biofield are:

  • better immune system

  • improved mental clarity

  • increased energy levels

  • greater sense of wellbeing and vitality

How Subtle Energy Reduces Stress

Stress may develop into short-term and long-term issues which may manifest at a later stage. This can compromise our immune system, take a toll on our mental health and our emotional functioning. Stress can also cause disruptions in the pineal gland, impairing its ability to produce melatonin and serotonin. This will affect our sleep cycle, appetite, mood, and behavior.

Since subtle energy is vibrational energy, and the pineal gland may be responsible for perceiving subtle energy, it is key to restoring balance. Taking in subtle energy from the collective source (energy transferred between biofields) can reduce our stress level, alleviating the problems caused by stress. Stress reduction and management with an intuitive coach is one way to improve your energy hygiene with subtle energy healing.
