In "The Healing Salon: Science, Spirit & the Psychic Body," Faye Lao, an Intuitive Healing Consultant, merges scientific insights with spiritual energy healing practices. Discover how the human body, through its biofield and chakras, serves as a conduit for healing, and explore the role of the pineal gland in activating spiritual energy. This article reveals the profound connection between science and spirit in unlocking your body’s healing potential.

The healing salon: Science meets spiritual energy healing

Have you ever wondered if the human body is more than flesh and bone? Science can now validate what ancient wisdom has claimed about our bodies: we are living antennas, able to receive, transmit, and amplify subtle healing energies. Hair, nails, the pineal gland, and the chakras in our hands are not just anatomy; they are conduits for healing.

As an Intuitive Healing Consultant™, I’ve witnessed clients feel heat, tingling, and waves of energy without touch, and release energies through body reflexes such as tears, yawning, coughing, and more. These reactions reveal the body’s ability to partner with intention, converting subtle energy into measurable shifts in energetic release for well-being.

Unlocking the pineal gland’s third eye for energy healing

The pineal gland is a tiny, pea-sized gland tucked in the center of the brain. In spiritual traditions, it’s known as the “third eye,” linked to intuition and spiritual insight. Inside are calcite crystals with piezoelectric qualities, meaning they can produce an electrical charge when stimulated. This is why researchers like Dr. Joe Dispenza connect it to meditation and energy work. Practices such as meditation, breathwork, and visualization are said to “switch on” the third eye, sparking deeper intuition, inner visions, and expanded awareness.

On a personal note, my energy often plays tricks on technology. I’ve worn out watch batteries too soon, replaced electronics more often than most, and picked up my share of static zaps. Some call this being “an electromagnet person,” someone whose natural bioelectric energy runs high. Science shows our bodies generate electromagnetic fields through the brain, heart, and nervous system. If that energy can disrupt electronics, it could also interact with the subtle frequencies of energy healing.

High-frequency hair styling: Boosting your energy healing power

Hair is made of keratin, a strong, natural protein, and like the rest of the body, it can hold and move subtle energy. When hair shifts, it may create tiny sparks of sensation that travel through the scalp and connect with the brain. Spiritually, many see hair as an “antenna” for sensing what’s beyond the physical, while the pineal gland is often called the “third eye,” opening the door to inner vision and intuition. Across cultures, hair has been viewed as a source of strength and spiritual awareness. In some Eastern traditions, long hair is believed to deepen spiritual connection and is left uncut, considered an extension of the self.

Manicure for the biofield: Fingertips and nails for energy healing

The palms and fingertips are alive with sensation, holding tiny energy centers often called hand chakras. During a session, these points can come to life, radiating warmth, pulsing gently, or creating a pleasant tingling. Many clients notice these feelings even when I’m working from a distance.

Just like invisible radio or cell signals travel through the air, subtle healing energy can flow between people, affecting both our bodies and the world around us. Nails, made of keratin, seem to help refine and focus that flow, while fingertips guide it with precision, like a brushstroke of light moving exactly where it’s needed.

Healing without touch: Fingertip chakras and the biofield

Years ago, I gave a friend an energy tune-up. As my fingers hovered over her lap, she felt a warm “laser line” over her lap, no contact, yet she felt it. When I moved toward her back, still hands-off, she felt a deep-tissue massage. The intention was to remove energy blockages from her back and her aura, or biofield.

The palms of the hands and the fingertips serve to “palpate” the biofield to feel energy shifts, such as warmth, pressure, or even a vacuum where energies may feel depleted.

What energy healers may perceive can be visible through modern biofield scans. Biofield imaging research by Dr. Konstantin Korotkov has shown measurable changes in both physiology and the energy field, before and after meditation sessions, or before and after energy healing sessions.

Distance energy healing: Intention and biofield power

Energy isn’t limited by distance. In Zoom sessions, some clients feel tingling or warmth before we even begin. I set strong healing intentions in advance, like prayers in spiritual traditions, which, paired with my hands as channels of light and the client’s openness, create alignment that starts the work. Sometimes, the energy arrives before I do. I am still surprised when some of my remote clients tell me they feel tingling already just after we log into a Zoom session.

Pineal gland activation with meditation and energy healing

Dr. Joe Dispenza, author of Becoming Supernatural and host of the Rewired series on Gaia TV, describes the pineal gland as a biological radio receiver that, when activated in meditation, rewires brain chemistry and energizes the body for healing.

At his workshops, EEGs, heart coherence monitors, and energy-field readings confirm that intentional meditation elevates energy in others, even remotely. Elevated energy supports healing on many levels.

In my own practice, I see this in a more intuitive way. Long before a session begins, my intention is already at work, reaching into my client’s energy field and setting things in motion. Whether guided by spirit or channeled through my own focus, this quiet preparation often leads clients to feel shifts, warmth, tingling, or emotional release, before I even begin. For me, this is where science meets mystery: a meeting point where intention becomes energy, and energy becomes healing.

Bridging psychic tools and modern energy science

During sessions, I sometimes see vivid colors and forms with my eyes closed, thanks to the perceptions of the pineal gland. Bright green light often appears, symbolizing renewal and healing. Science might explain this as brainwave shifts, but I see it as spirit sending light in specific colors for specific outcomes: blue for peace, pink for love, red for passion, yellow for intellect, and other rainbow hues carrying their own spiritual meanings, which may differ for each person.

Awaken your healing power: Science meets spirit

Your hair, nails, pineal gland, and the chakras in your hands aren’t random; they’re part of a beautifully designed energy system. When combined with clear intention, awareness, and connection to something greater, they become powerful tools for personal transformation.

True healing isn’t bound by touch or technology. It’s about bringing your mind, body, spirit, energies, and intentions into harmony. By guiding your own energy, or working with a practitioner, you step into the most empowered role in your health.

When mind and heart work together, you awaken the body’s natural healing technology, uniting science and spirit, ancient wisdom and modern insight.

Your body is already wired for healing, step into your own healing power.
