Intuition

Intuition is such an underutilised gift in many people. Everyone has it. It is the ability to acquire knowledge without recourse to conscious reasoning. It is that feeling in your gut when you instinctively know that something you are doing is right or wrong. Or you sense an unobvious emotion in someone else and have a hunch. We all have it but choosing to listen to it is another matter and we may ignore it because logic tells us otherwise. We all have intuition, that inner voice to help direct us to where our business needs to go and along with your business vision you need intuition.

In the book: The Life-Changing Power of Intuition, by Emma Lucy Knowles, she states:

‘Intuition is an intelligence. It’s a body of energy of light and, most importantly, it is a huge part of who we are. In fact, the more we nourish and feed our intuition and the more we get to know that ‘part’ of ourselves, the more complete, connected and whole-the more alive- we will begin to feel.’

But how do we nourish it? You need to trust the vibes you get because energy doesn’t lie. Your subconscious picks up on 95% awareness compared to the mere 5% of our conscious mind. Intuition, when tutoring, is imperative because if we are really tuned in to each client then we can adapt our practice accordingly in terms of teaching approach, pace, emotional awareness and safeguarding of our clients.

Investment

I have spoken to many tutors who want to upscale their business, but haven’t been able to, and one characteristic they all seem to possess is fear of investment. Investment in the right mentors, coaches, equipment, and courses is priceless because ultimately it adds multiple value to your business. It can be scary and a risk, but if you are investing in the right people and products (use your intuition!) then the risk is very low and, of course, action is needed to lower the risk even more. I invest money in the best tutoring resources, marketing, PR, coaches and courses and the value you acquire is exponential to use for your business. I wouldn’t be developing as I am this year without the investment I made in myself and my development the previous years. Investment also includes ‘time’. It is an investment in going that extra mile in your tuition business and taking a risk, giving your time to something that may pay off immensely. Of course, this needs to be balanced with valuing yourself.

Initiative

This is taking charge of your business and not waiting for others to do it for you or not standing behind a myriad of excuses why your business is not working. It includes problem-solving and going out of your way to continue to learn and grow, knowing that there’s always more to learn and always new ways to be better. If your business is not progressing, then it is dying. We all have moments of procrastination and uncertainty, but the best leaders are decisive and as long as you are trying and acting then you are closer to success, even if you fail sometimes. As we tell children: ‘Failure is learning and growing’.

John Caudwell, entrepreneur, philanthropist, Phones4U founder, states that:

“If somebody’s first business was unsuccessful, I think the first thing they should do is really analyse in depth why that was. And a lot of people blame it on bad luck, but its rarely bad luck. You can have bad luck that does damage the business, but mostly it’s your own lack of strategy and your own lack of effort that causes the failure.”

Intention

Your intention for your business and for you clients will ultimately result in success or failure. As Tony Robbins says: “Where focus goes, energy flows”. If your intention is just to make more money, then your business will likely be a flop. If your intention comes from a place of service and genuine care for your clients, then you will be adding value and naturally making more money anyway. And the more money you make, the more people you can help.

Innovation

As any great businessperson knows, look for the patterns in your clients to create new methods and ideas. Marisa Peer, world renowned therapist, created RTT therapy from years and years of looking at the patterns of her clients and what they would respond to best. This is the same for tuition. Look for the patterns and what your clients respond to the best and make sure you showcase them often. For example, from a psychological perspective, my students respond well if they feel they are achieving work that is a year or more above them and I use this method at least once with every student to help with confidence (I’m very strategic with the work I select!). I can now use the patterns that I have learned in my tuition business to mentor and coach other tutors to reach immense success sooner.

Danielle catalyses children and adults to rise like a phoenix from the flames 🔥 and to reach their optimum potential. She is an entrepreneur, inspiring 11+ and 7+ entrance exams tutor, rapid transformational therapist®️, business coach for overachievers, a life coach for all, an NLP Master practitioner and she is also certified by the ILM.

One of Danielle’s much loved abilities is being an overachiever because she thrives on the excitement and follows her passion, which is to help people live fulfilling lives.

Over the last five years of her tuition business, Danielle has become extremely popular and respected in the tuition industry and is a mentor and coach to other tutors, to help them increase revenue in their businesses, but ultimately to be the best tutors they can be. Her own tuition service incorporates coaching for parents and children throughout the exam process and NLP classes for children to help them with lack of confidence, bullying, anxiety and to help them focus on the imminent goal of exams and to visualise and believe in their success.

Danielle’s second business, coaching and therapy, has been a long time coming and her personal interest in people and psychology led her to investing in the most high-quality courses to be the best for her clients. For her rapid transformational therapy ®️, she had the privilege of personally being mentored by Marisa Peer, world renowned therapist. Rapid transformational therapy is a combination of NLP, CBT, psychotherapy and hypnosis.

It has been Danielle’s personal experiences which have led her to where she is today. At age four, her father died of suicide, which installed in her a determination to help prevent people ever becoming despaired again. Her best friend passed away at fifteen, which solidified Danielle’s determination of living life to the full. Growing up with a single parent, they struggled with money but Danielle was very inspired by her mother’s work ethic, which had a huge impact on her.

As a teacher in some schools, the politics and bullying amongst staff was toxic and she suffered from depression, stress and burnout and was treated badly at her most vulnerable time of being pregnant and having a newborn and that’s why she’s passionate about helping teachers. She wishes that she had someone to help her at the time.

She has been through the journey of setting up successful businesses on her own, while undertaking childcare as a single parent of two, after she divorced, and strongly believes anyone can achieve anything they put their mind to with grit, focus and passion.
