No sales, no business. It’s that simple. Improve sales, improve results, that’s also an obvious fact. But why is it hard to find really good sales people? Why do so many coaches and consultants procrastinate on their sales activities? How come that in a sales team of 10, usually only some 2 to 4 people outperform. The others are doing reasonably okay. Despite the same training, the results differ.

First of all, we have to be sure that we come from this mindset: “Sales is not done TO people. Sales is done FOR people.” This alone makes a huge difference in facing sales. If you do sales FOR people, it means you must show up from within. From a place of genuine interest, integrity and a love for what you sell. Your product or service is worth selling to a lot of people because of the difference it will make in their lives or business. Once you love selling, selling becomes easy. Apparently, not a lot of people are in love with selling. The few who are, can tell you what they do and how they do it, but they are unable to tell you their secret sauce. We can all learn the perfect lines to say, but few speak them in reality right! The universe moves for the deed, not the doer, so why don’t we do the deed in the same way successful sales people do? The explanation for this is to be found in our self-image. Our self-image is the way we see ourselves, what we believe is true about who we are. And it is important to know that we always act in accordance with our self-image. An example in the book Psycho-Cybernetics written by Maxwell Maltz is perfectly in tune with this statement: a salesperson used to sell 5K every month. It didn’t matter what region he got assigned to. Were there few possibilities for selling, he managed to sell 5K. Were their plenty of opportunities, he’d still sell 5K. So he created himself as a person who sells 5K. Not 10K. Not 100K. No. Always 5K. His self-image would prevent him from seeing other possibilities and opportunities out there because those would threaten his self-image. Now, we all have this machine inside us, which wants us to stay the same and does exactly what we tell it to do. We feed this machine by our thoughts, patterns and beliefs. So it’s a never-ending cycle, because you feed the machine the thoughts, patterns and beliefs that will continue the actualization of the invented self-image. Luckily, we, as spiritual beings with intellect, living in our bodies in this psychical realm, have been gifted the ability to choose. And we can choose our thoughts, beliefs and patterns consciously. So if you have an inadequate belief going on around sales (and your results will tell you exactly!), you must feed the machine with new beliefs and ideas to change the self-image. As long as you don’t change this, you can participate in as many courses as you like which shows you what to do to be a great salesperson but this will not make a difference. Because, again, you must act in accordance with your current self-image because that is what you tell your machine to do on a subconscious level. This is one of four pillars we teach to effectively implement the Sales From Within principles. Sales from Within will grant extraordinary results because you start working and initiating in accordance with universal laws, all scientifically proven. To prevent you from staying stuck at the level of the Law of Attraction, which is great but incomplete, these three other pillars need to be addressed as well:

Having a bold goal. What is so important that has you sell like crazy? Ask yourself what is your bold goal, do you have any? Or are you busy doing what you think or know you can achieve? That’s not a bold goal! Have a matching attitude. Your attitude is the right mixture of your thoughts, feelings and actions. These must match, like all ingredients of a cake! If you think sales is great, but you feel negative about it on a subconscious level, actions will be in line with the self-image that is controlled by the subconscious that says sales sucks! If you are busy calling people but your feelings and thoughts are not FOR those people, they will sense it and the sale is out of sight.

Do consistent inspired actions. Without action, there are no results. Action brings reaction and if your actions are in line with and inspired through the bold goal, miracles will happen.

Sales from within is all about who you are BEING prior to and during the sales process. To fall in love with sales is a choice. Once you turn your heart felt interest towards prospects, learn the skills required and perfect your ways of taking action, results will increase. It’s a universal law. Try it. Do it!
