Achieving goals starts from within, and the experience is experienced from the outside. Creating a goal is an internal activity, and building your goal is an external activity. What does your internal goal-building look like? First, you must know the laws of the mind so that you can cooperate with your mind. The first law says: Your mind has only one job: to help you survive on the planet. In this article, we will explore the laws of the mind, the power of the subconscious mind, and the steps we must take to reprogram our minds for achieving any goal in life.

Step one: Create a vision of your achieved goals
The greatest power we possess is located in our subconscious. But our subconscious mind is an amazing paradox. It does not have the power to reason by itself, but it still possesses an incredible number of abilities and factors of intelligence. Your subconscious mind has 5 internal senses: inner vision, inner hearing, inner smell, inner taste, and inner touch. We prove this by actually having it while we dream. How is this possible if we sleep? It is possible because you use the 5 subconscious senses of your subconscious mind. It is this potential that you can use the subconscious senses for the visualization process. When you create a vision of your goals, it must be specific, clear, and permeated with emotions. In fact, you must use your inner senses to create a mental image of your goals. When you create a vision of your achieved goals, know that it will be the mental equivalent of your reality. This is your internal goal-building.
I worked with a client who had a problem getting pregnant, secondary infertility. And to every woman who has this problem, I always say: Get pregnant with a vision. Your mind is the uterus. It is the creative centre of your being. I tell my clients to be precise when they create a vision, whether they want a boy, a girl, or twins. The goal is not to get pregnant, but to give birth to a healthy baby. And for that, you need 3 visions: a vision of conception, a vision of a perfect pregnancy, and a vision of an easy birth. Then, as a good detective, my task is to investigate the subconscious as a bank and storehouse: memories, impulses and desires. Because the subconscious does what it is supposed to do, programmed to work. The best analogy is with artificial intelligence. AI is an amazing platform capable of performing millions of calculations per second, but it is completely indifferent whether it is necessary to solve the problem of world hunger or to start a nuclear war. Just as the body can be filled with toxins due to wrong nutrition, the subconscious mind can also be filled with wrong programming.
Associating pleasure with goals
Your imagination has a dominant power over logic; this is a law of the mind. If you imagine passing the exam but are afraid of failure and associate pain with going to the exam, then you will sabotage yourself and postpone the action that will lead you to your goal. If, on the other hand, you use your imagination to imagine how you have a perfect memory, how easily you learn and remember, then you will take the exam with confidence in yourself. You need to eliminate the thought of failure in order to achieve your goals. The very successful entrepreneur Sara Blakely understood the meaning of failure in an extraordinary way, even in her childhood. Her father encouraged her to try something new every day, and when she shared her failures with him, they celebrated as if she had achieved success, so she understood that failure is actually not trying, living in fear of failure.
As children, we were completely open and were programmed by our parents. First, the words we spoke were the words of our parents. This is precisely why our mind has many incorrect and sometimes inappropriate thoughts and beliefs.
In childhood, we are like a blank slate on which adults write their beliefs. We learn all our fears. In order to be able to recognize a dream as a dream, a person must first wake up. Likewise, in order to become aware of our subconscious fears and mental blocks, we have to make them aware because our inner child lives in the reality of his childhood fears, feelings, and pain. If a child has always encountered judgment and criticism from parents, such as "You will never be good at anything", "You can't do anything well", and "You are useless", then when this child grows up, they will be reluctant to even try to achieve goals.
Step two: Make a plan of action
When we set a clear goal, we have to make a plan of action, and we have to ask ourselves what skills, knowledge, and experience I need to have to achieve this goal. If your goal is to become a writer, you have to learn to write, you have to learn marketing, sales, and presentation. Next, you have to have a vision and plan and have appropriate beliefs and you must have goals written down because you can enrich and expand them. By writing them down, you will be more dedicated and committed to your ideas. And when you run out of motivation, go back to what you wrote down and apply the discipline plan. You must have a positive intention; your goal must always be to lift other people up and help them. For example, if you open a small business, you will help people by employing them.
Another law of the mind is that the mind learns through repetition. Tell yourself:” I am willing,” and “I am ready to reach my goals,” and “I have the courage to start and succeed,” and “I refuse to settle for less than I deserve,” and “I focus my vision on my goals, desires, and dreams”. ” I turn dreams into goals and goals into plans and plans into reality,” and” my goal is possible; my ideas are valuable and important,” and “I am capable of learning new things”. Repeat these positive affirmations every day.
The only intangible power you know is thought. So, choose to think positive, encouraging thoughts: "I was born to succeed" and "I have everything I need to succeed." In life, we do not always get what we want, but according to the mental equivalent, it must first be established in our subconscious for a chance of success.
Take inspired action
I want to tell you the story of a very inspiring woman I mentioned earlier, Sara Blakley. Before she patented her innovation in the field of underwear, she only had an idea, an idea to make a product that would make a revolution and which will help women around the world. What stood behind her goal was the intention to help women with her product. But it took two years for her to listen and perceive the signals sent by her subconscious to create a prototype product. When the idea was born, she asked her subconscious to send her a sign, a symbol, a problem that she could solve. She knew that a big dream was waiting for her. And the most important thing is that she knew how to redefine failure even in her childhood. For her, the definition of failure was: not trying.
She was determined to make a product that would help and make a revolution at the same time. And at the same time, she had no experience in the fashion industry, retail, or the sales industry. But nothing stopped her, so she directed her subconscious, gave clear instructions to create something that would improve women’s lives, and she was patient, as I mentioned.
Your mind is the womb. Get pregnant with a vision. It takes 9 months to give birth to a baby; it takes time to get from an idea to a vision and then to a plan.
Sara had incredible self-confidence and faith in success. So, one of the keys to her success was that she didn't tell any of her family and friends about her idea for a long time. Because she knew that with the best of intentions and concern, she would awaken her fears or doubt and thus program her subconscious to fail or to give up on her goals. Because when you introduce the mind into a negative belief, it loses its power. Sara was ready to be unstoppable in her goals. But the wonderful thing is that she was ready to learn: how to sell, how to promote her products, how to improve her products. She knew how to collaborate with her mind on the way to achieving her goals. She admitted that people often thought that she had no chance of success, but she did not accept that; she did not allow her subconscious to take over other people's beliefs. She had incredible confidence. Ask yourself what beliefs you need to succeed in your goals.
Remember that you were born with perfect self-confidence, but it is filled with negative, outdated, limiting beliefs that you can remove. Take small steps daily that align with your goals. Write down your positive beliefs and affirm them every day. Here is a suggestion for you:
“I am strong, I am mentally resistant.” “I am proud of my decisions.” “The only approval I need is my own”.
Maybe you have health goals, relationship goals, or monetary goals, but you need to write them down. Look at the example of Sara, she had: a vision, an idea, an intention, mental resilience, and self-confidence. She was ready to learn, to be unstoppable, and to be patient; she believed that a bigger dream was already waiting for her.
On the other side of learning is a mistake, and on the other side of risk is success. She is truly an inspiring woman precisely because she knew that she was worthy of her dreams. You, too, must know that you are valuable. Say to yourself: "I know that I am worthy", and “I believe that I am worthy to reach my goals”. Remember to use the word my because it has a lot of power. It is a possessive word like “My hand”, “my body”, and “my car”, so you will want more to achieve your goals when you say it's mine. My goal.
Step three: Program your mind for success
To reach any goal, you have to give yourself positive suggestions. Imagine if you had to run a marathon, and if you kept repeating to yourself "I hate this, I don't want this", you have to say to yourself: "I love this", "I can do this", "I chose this", You teach your mind to give precise directions and instructions because one of the laws of the mind is: that your mind always works to move you away from pain, to pleasure. So, you have to connect pleasure with goals.
One more important thing about achieving goals is that you have to be ready to take risks. Successful people, when they encounter rejection or failure, continue on. Michael Jordan, one of the greatest basketball players, acknowledges that he failed so many times before becoming a success. He said that he could accept failure and that everyone fails at something. But he could not accept not trying again. So, you have to be brave, daring, and ready to take the risk that is needed to achieve your goals.
Apply the "Model of possible thinking"
One man who broke a world record and ran one mile in four minutes was Roger Bannister in 1954. He was not only one of the greatest athletes of the last century, but an innovator and an example for change and an icon of success. For years, runners fought against the clock and tried to break through this barrier, and they thought it was impossible. It was a mental and physical barrier. It was truly the holy grail of athletic achievement. Roger Bannister left a real legacy and a lesson for all who see the role of leadership in getting things done in ways that have never been done before. Behind his success was a mental model. Runners in the past were convinced that they could not win the battle against the clock. When Roger Bannister broke through that barrier, runners realized that something that was previously considered impossible was, in fact, possible. So, they were previously programmed to fail. But Roger Bannister had two belief systems. He thought it was possible to do it and he had neither psychological nor physical barriers. And then after his success, in Australia, one other runner achieved this, then three, etc. So, Bannister showed that the mental equivalent of his belief was manifested in reality. Before him, runners also wanted to achieve success, but they didn't because they had a "model of impossible thinking", and Bannister had a "model of possible thinking". He made the perceived impossible possible.
Therefore, it is necessary to transform your sense of what is possible because it will make you a leader in every field.
How long does it take to change our subconscious beliefs and reprogram our minds?
There is a myth that it takes 21 days to create new beliefs, but in fact, research shows that we only create new neural connections, new mental visions, learn the language of a new program, and slowly create new habits. For a long-term change, it takes more than 2 months, about 66 days according to one research. One of the guardians of the gate of success is to speak highly of yourself.
Learn to praise yourself. Imagine that you are already a successful, fantastic entrepreneur. Begin with the end result in mind and start with the controlled daydreaming. Imagine you are a famous surgeon, a famous writer. To have a very successful business. Just like women who want to get pregnant, I always tell them to say: “I'm expecting a baby, and I'm pregnant”. Imagine how you would behave, dress, and imagine your lifestyle. Speak as if you have already achieved your goal. Understanding the power of language is very important. Because our subconscious beliefs are expressed through words, observing the words you say about yourself, you can also analyse your feelings.
Take a test. Write down all the negative words you say to yourself or talk about: your health, your success, relationships, and self-esteem. Only then will you realize how destructively negative and limiting they are. Your mind influences your body, but you influence your mind; you have the ability to change, to give instructions to influence positive changes in yourself. When we are sick, our language is psychosomatic and indicates how powerless we are in the face of illness. Illness always points the finger at the place where a person is weak and small.
The power of a placebo
Consider a placebo. It is the belief that a treatment procedure or pill will work. This encourages a stronger connection between body and mind to work together for healing. Then the expectation of healing is created. Researchers believe that it involves a complex neurobiological reaction that increases feel-good neurotransmitters such as endorphins, serotonin, dopamine, and greater activity in specific regions of the brain related to mood, emotional response, and self-awareness. But the placebo effect is not only related to the activation and release of additional brain powers. A small treatment ritual is already needed to be effective. Previously, the placebo effect was thought to work only through deception, that is, you have to be tricked into thinking that the treatment is real. But new research suggests that it's possible to get placebo effects even if you know the treatments are fake, a concept known as open-label placebos. And why does it work? Because open placebo already has the word placebo in the name, which activates your subconscious belief about the power of placebo and its effectiveness. If you have health goals, know that instead of fighting the symptoms of the disease, use the symptoms to heal yourself because a symptom is a somatic symbol of what is missing in our consciousness. It is a physical image of what is missing in our soul.
Step four: Develop perseverance
Stanford Psychology professor Carol Dweck’s work has found that by persevering, you will become a better performer in the long term, having more success every time you reach for a goal. Perseverance is keeping going even though you want to stop, or it’s bouncing back from failure in order to try again.
You have to tell your mind that it wants to do things that are difficult with pleasure. You have to change the mental images and the emotional language you speak to yourself. The subconscious mind is very powerful. Provided the conscious mind absorbs plenty of data while awake, the subconscious mind can process and make sense of the data while asleep.
The strategies to help you persevere
Recalling past perseverance. Think about your childhood, and how you had to persevere and be strong, and how impressive that is, since you were just a child. Also, think about the last time you felt fierce, strong, committed, stubborn, clear, inspired, surrendered, on-mission, purposeful, or focused. Remember it, think about your reward, feel it in your body, and bring it to mind when you feel you need resources to keep going.
Taking a step, even just a small one. Identify one small thing you can do right now to make progress towards your goal. There is always something that can be done. Completing one actionable task is more beneficial than getting stressed about all the things that need to happen in the future to achieve your goal.
Trying other solutions and asking for advice. Ask for professional advice to be able to change your approach, to try other solutions.
Setting a reasonable pace and being patient. As I have previously mentioned, it takes 9 months to give birth to a baby. It takes time to get from an idea, a vision, a plan to accomplishment.
Remembering that grit may be as essential as intelligence. Angela Duckworth's research suggests that when it comes to high achievement, grit may be as essential as intelligence. That's a significant finding because for a long time, intelligence was considered the key to success. Duckworth has developed a test called the "Grit Scale." It's entirely self-reported, and what Duckworth has found is that a person's grit score is highly predictive of achievement under challenging circumstances. Duckworth is an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania. How much grit do you have? Take the grit test.
Reading about the people who inspire you and their life stories of how they succeeded. This is very important because it can help transform your sense of what is possible.
Step five: Find your purpose
Be connected to your purpose. I have a master's degree in law, but that was never my purpose. To discover what your purpose is, a good question to ask your subconscious before going to bed is: What is it that I would like to do for the rest of my life? Would you like it for free? Sleep removes space and time from us. In dreams, we can step into the unconscious and connect with our spiritual being.
Every idea, creation, invention, and discovery is a product of the human mind and spirit. And the inventors knew this and often asked their subconscious questions before going to bed. They knew about collaboration with the mind. If you send your subconscious a precise and clear request, the answer will follow. If you don't have what you want, then it means that you are not communicating with your mind in the right way. I have helped many clients all over the world to find their purpose and achieve their goals. As a part of our therapy, I am creating a personalized audio recording to reprogram their mind for success. Book your free consultation with me today.
We must open ourselves to the unknown within us, to all the secrets of our subconscious and emotional memories.
