In my first article, What If the Root of Your Struggles Began in a Past Life?, I explored the core tools I use to uncover past lives: tarot, astrology, intuitive resonance, and even AI-supported historical recognition. These helped me retrieve detailed stories, emotions, and karmic threads from past incarnations.

The photo features a person wearing a creatively designed, colorful outfit, standing in an abandoned, ornate space with tall windows and peeling walls.

But those aren’t the only portals.

In this follow-up, I’ll share subtler, equally powerful ways that past life memories can surface through the body, dreams, and spontaneous knowing. When you learn to listen, the soul speaks in many languages.

Portals to past life memory

1. Meditation and stillness

Meditation and silent retreats can dissolve ego boundaries and open the door to past life fragments. Over the years, I’ve learned to use meditation both as a gateway into early soul memories and as a way to deepen insight into known past lives. When I’m emotionally triggered in ways that feel karmic, I sit with the feeling instead of resisting it, gently exploring its root. This has helped me integrate past life trauma in real time. In a future article, I’ll share more about transmuting these deeper karmic patterns.

2. Ayahuasca and psychedelics

Some of my past lives began to surface gradually while microdosing LSD. The insights came in gentle flashes of memory, emotion, and deep inner recognition that unfolded over time. Interestingly, I met my twin flame during this period, before any clear past life recall had fully emerged. That meeting became a catalyst in its own right, but more on that in a future article, where I’ll explore how the twin flame journey and soul memory intertwine.

One of the most powerful integration experiences came later, during an ayahuasca ceremony. I wasn’t seeking more information, I was seeking embodiment. Within the first half hour, I began to merge viscerally with the energy of my past life as Jim. A raw, animalistic voice erupted from within, unfiltered, ancient. Later, I saw his face morph into mine. The boundaries dissolved. I wasn’t remembering him, I was reclaiming him as part of me.

As the guides played live music, I began to improvise vocally. It wasn’t performative, it simply rose up from within. That sound became the bridge back to earth. My soul was reentering my body through my voice. In that moment, I wasn’t just singing, I was healing deep karmic voice wounds carried across lifetimes.

Since that journey, I’ve been processing karmic trauma with more clarity. It helped me release addictive patterns and step more fully into my path. Ayahuasca didn’t just show me who I was, it helped me become who I am.

3. Hypnotherapy and regression work

Past life regression, usually through guided hypnosis, helps access detailed memories and often brings healing by witnessing the root of patterns. This article on Quantum Healing Hypnosis offers a helpful introduction to what these sessions can open up.

I haven’t done formal past life regression, but inner child regression deeply impacted me, years before I was even aware of being Jim. Healing early trauma helped release parts stuck in survival mode.

I believe tending to childhood wounds is crucial, as they often echo unresolved past life themes. For me, healing my wounded child finally grounded me. Before that, I was dissociated, drifting between worlds and using substances to escape, much like my past life, disconnected and ungrounded. Regression work doesn’t just reveal the past; it anchors you in the present, making remembering safer and more healing.

4. Dreamwork

Intentional dreaming, like lucid dreaming or dream journaling, can unlock past life memories. Some dreams aren’t just dreams; they’re soul memories rising in symbols or vivid scenes.

I’ve received a lot of data through dreams. Once, I told a friend in a dream that he was Tchaikovsky. I knew little about him then, but the dream felt charged, so I researched. A portrait of Tchaikovsky shocked me, he looked and felt just like my friend, sharing the same energy and struggles (you can see examples of facial echoes like this on my reincarnation research page).

Dreams bypass logic and speak through emotion and imagery. With intention, they become maps full of insight, memory, and soul truth.

5. Philosophy and esoteric texts

Philosophy, especially esoteric teachings, can open gateways to past life memories. Deep ideas about the soul, time, and consciousness can trigger intuitive recognition of lives once lived or lessons taught.

For me, philosophy only opened fully around 2020. Earlier, drug use and my inner wounds made focused reading difficult. After my first past life reading in 2019, I felt drawn to Hermetic teachings. Then, The Kybalion appeared, inspiring me to write Kybalion the Musical.

Writing that musical in 2021, alongside intuitive readings, became a portal. Characters in the show stood for soul energies I sensed. During an intense writing stretch, I had a breakthrough: a past life in Elizabethan England as John Dee, an astrologer with otherworldly access. That was my first past life name, marking a deeper unfolding. Philosophy and creativity became tools for soul remembrance. You can read more on my blog.

6. Symbolism and soul codes

Symbols are the soul’s language. Before names or memories come through, we often get contacted by symbols, repeating numbers, animals, colors, or dreams charged with meaning. They’re spiritual breadcrumbs guiding us toward remembrance.

For me, symbolism was one of the first ways my soul spoke. After getting sober in 2012, I started seeing double digits everywhere, 11:11 relentlessly, then 22:22. These felt like coded messages marking new beginnings. By 2017, as I was deep in healing, writing, and making music, 19:19 appeared constantly, so powerful I tattooed it on my neck. At the time, I felt its intensity but didn’t fully grasp it. Only later did I realize how deeply it was tied to my past lives, echoing themes of death, rebirth, and the soul missions I’ve carried across incarnations.

That year, while struggling with health and purpose, I discovered my Sun sits exactly at 3°33'33", another cosmic wink. At a time when I felt broken, this synchronicity sparked clarity about my soul’s mission.

The more I explored past lives, the clearer it became: I had been leaving myself clues all along. Symbols, numbers, music fragments, names, even tattoos woven through lifetimes like secret codes waiting to be remembered. You might notice the same: repeated numbers, meaningful names, or obsessions that only make sense later. These are not accidents, they’re your soul knocking before the door opens wide.

7. Sound and voice activation

Chanting, toning, and intuitive singing bypass the conscious mind to access soul memory. Certain sounds unlock cellular memory and emotional release.

As a singer, my voice has long been more than a performance, it’s a vessel for channeling unseen forces. Discovering my past lives deepened this: voice was a portal I mastered before and still use now. When stuck or triggered, I turn to chanting, humming, or toning. It grounds me, reconnecting me to something primal and wise.

Voice has become a powerful tool in my healing, shifting energy, processing emotion, and reprogramming karmic patterns. I’ll share more on sound as a transformational and healing tool in future articles.

8. Sacred movement and dance

Sometimes the body remembers what the mind cannot. Intuitive dance and somatic movement can awaken embodied memories from past lives.

Movement can unlock ancient soul energy and help integrate past life experiences. When we let go of control and move freely, it can bring up emotions and memories stored in the body. Dance becomes more than just movement; it becomes a ceremony for healing, reclamation, and integration. The body holds deep wisdom and can be a powerful key to past life remembrance.

9. Art

Art is a powerful tool for past life integration. It bypasses the analytical mind and connects with the intuitive, emotional, and somatic layers where soul memory resides. Whether through painting, drawing, fashion, writing, or performance, art acts as a sacred mirror, revealing archetypes, symbols, and energetic imprints from other lifetimes.

Creation becomes a ritual, a living dialogue with the soul. Through artistic expression, past lives can be felt deeply, awakening sensations, images, and emotions that help integrate those memories. Art transforms past life remembrance into something tangible and empowering, turning creative spaces into places of healing and alchemy.

Everyone has creativity within them, no need to hold back or wait for permission. Embracing your creative spark can open doors to your soul’s deeper memories and support your healing journey.

For example, my show A Soul’s Journey is a way I bring this process to life, healing old wounds and stepping fully into my purpose through performance and storytelling. Your creative path can be just as transformative, whatever form it takes.

The photo shows a woman in a vintage-style dress standing in front of a church tower, with a snowy path and trees around her.

Let your path unfold naturally. Not every tool is for everyone. But when the soul is ready, the right portal appears.

This combination of tools lets you cross-reference your insights. It turns remembering into intuitive research, mystical yet methodical. In this article, I’ll share 9 powerful ways to access your past life memories beyond tarot and astrology so you can deepen your journey even further. Past life work as soul awakening

Uncovering past lives isn’t just about healing, it’s about remembering who you truly are. The clearer my soul history became, the more my mission unfolded.

Past lives are keys, not chains tempered through time to unlock a multidimensional self who lives boldly, loves freely, and serves from the soul.

While my journey began intuitively with tarot and access to the Akashic records, I’ve expanded my practice to include methods combining it with karmic astrology, facial resemblance, and AI tools that help reveal karmic signatures echoing through lifetimes. Soon, I’ll be exploring this topic further through these themes.
