With the rising prices of goods and food shortages, some are worried about making ends meet. Others have second jobs to have enough money for the basics. There are small businesses that are doing well and others that are suffering. If you’re a coach, whether you’re a life coach, health coach, or even a financial coach, you may be at the point in your business in which you are not accepting new clients. Other coaches may be looking for new clients; however, they fear rejection due to the economy.

Inflation printed on a piece of torn paper that rests on top of the money.

The thought is that potential clients don't want to spend money on your program because:

  • They find another coach that is a better fit

  • They cannot afford it

  • They do not want to waste your time

  • They do not want to take advice from anyone

People will buy a product regardless of the cost if it's a great product. If someone is in a great deal of pain and is sick and tired of being sick and tired (literally), they will pay for the help.

Ways to Attract Clients

  1. Sales and specials. The month of December is difficult for many people emotionally. They live with grief, depression, food addiction, and the like. The new year is an opportunity to start anew and make goals, and resolutions, if you will. A sale on your products and services can attract those dealing with a lot of pain and need your help.

  2. Social media. Make posts on a social media platform where you have a huge following, whether Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Tik Tok. Posting daily and purposely will get the attention of potential clients. Your posts do not always have to be business related.. Your followers want to get to know you as a person.

  3. Start your own Facebook group. If you do not already manage your own Facebook group, it may be advisable to start one. Your group would cater to your ideal clients. You can create posts that are informative and helpful to your members. Add membership questions to ensure that people are interested in your offerings.

  4. Collaborations. A collaboration in a partnership is also a great way to meet potential clients. You can get referrals from one another. One example would be a spa owner's client looking for a health coach.

  5. Tell your stories. As mentioned previously, readers want to hear your stories. Readers want to hear about your background, struggles, and overcoming obstacles. Those stories will resonate with someone or many people.
