Claire Buttrum

Somatic Trauma Informed Coach

Claire Buttrum is the visionary founder of Somatic Harmony Healing, a dedicated practice committed to the profound nourishment of both the mind and body. Her approach is built on a deep understanding of the intricate connection between the physical self and emotional wellbeing, creating a path for clients to achieve lasting harmony and personal growth.

Claire's journey into the world of holistic wellness is rooted in a lifetime of physical discipline and awareness, beginning with her formative training at the prestigious Rambert Ballet School. This early immersion in movement and bodily expression laid a crucial foundation for her future work. Her path evolved as she delved into the practices of Anusara yoga and Pilates, further deepening her expertise in how the body holds and processes experiences. This unique blend of disciplined art and mindful movement became the cornerstone of her therapeutic philosophy, leading her to explore the powerful field of somatic healing.

A true pioneer in her field, Claire holds the distinguished qualification of being one of the world's first level 7 qualified somatic trauma-informed coaches. This high level of accreditation speaks to her exceptional expertise and her commitment to understanding the physiological impacts of trauma. Her practice is centred on the principles of nervous system regulation and deep, authentic self-connection. She guides her clients, primarily women, on a transformative journey to move from states of stress and survival to safety and inner peace.

To provide a truly holistic and personalised experience, Claire integrates a variety of powerful therapeutic modalities. Her toolkit includes Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps clients understand and harmonise the different parts of their inner world; Somatic Healing, which uses the body's wisdom as a primary tool for healing; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), for developing psychological flexibility; and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to release emotional blockages. Further demonstrating her dedication to addressing specific needs, Claire holds specialised certifications in menopause and ADHD coaching, offering nuanced and expert support to women navigating these significant life stages and neurotypes.

Ultimately, Claire's mission is to empower women, equipping them with the tools and understanding to become their own greatest advocates for their health and wellbeing. She creates a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment where profound healing is not just possible, but nurtured. The butterfly in her company's logo is a perfect emblem for her work, symbolising the beautiful and powerful transformation she facilitates in each client she guides.
