- Lauren Turner, Yoga & Pilates Teacher, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine
Lauren came to do her teacher training after significant personal turmoil and trained in Vinyasa Flow in Costa Rica, finding Blue Osa, a school on the Osa Peninsula in Puerto Jimenez. After what was an immensely transformational experience she came back and starting teaching almost straight away online, in a lockdown world. We slowly emerged and she thought she would teach a couple of classes a week as a hobby, but it just grew and grew with her reputation. She started to run workshops and working exclusively in studios. Lauren found a niche in progressive practice, teaching students the art of inversions, arm balances and learning to trust themselves upside down. Showing students what they are capable of, believing in breaking down self-imposed limits and allowing students to develop and grow out of their comfort zone. This journey as a teacher then progressed to retreats abroad, creating holistic wellbeing retreats focussing both on creating a consistent & deep meditation practice as well as progressing student’s physical practice. Lauren continued developing her knowledge completing her initial Rocket training with Leon London. Bringing Rocket Inspired yoga to the Midlands. Lauren also finished her Pilates training during this period to better help her students on an individual level and to fuel her belief in intuitive teaching. Lauren believes in always being a student and staying humble. Yoga is a lifelong journey, and she focusses on being just a little bit better each day. Trusting how the posture feels, not what it looks like and understanding the mind body connection, using yoga to manage mental stress and not just for the physical asanas. Her goal is to enrich each student day with her classes. Knowing she can improve how they feel even the smallest amount gives her so much energy and sense of purpose. Most importantly giving students a safe space to be who they are. Yoga is a journey into the self, the most important relationship we will ever cultivate. - Angie Butts, Sovereign Integration Alchemist, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine
Angie is the founder and CEO of Triple Flame Healing, an integrative wellness practice dedicated to helping people reconnect with their innate capacity to heal through evidence-informed holistic care. A former nurse with more than 15 years of healthcare experience and a licensed massage therapist, Angie has spent her career exploring the relationship between physical health, emotional well-being, and the body's remarkable ability to restore balance. Her professional path has been shaped as much by lived experience as clinical practice. Following a life-changing near-death experience and profound personal transformation, Angie expanded her work beyond traditional wellness models to explore the intersections of nervous system regulation, energy medicine, trauma recovery, consciousness, and personal empowerment. Her approach honors both science and the deeply personal journey of healing, recognizing that lasting transformation often begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and supported. As the founder of Triple Flame Healing, Angie leads a collaborative team offering therapeutic massage, holistic wellness services, frequency-based modalities, and integrative approaches designed to support the whole person rather than simply manage symptoms. She is also developing the Vy'Nym philosophy—a growing body of work exploring shadow work, resilience, authentic leadership, and the courageous process of reclaiming one's personal sovereignty. Through her writing for Brainz Magazine, Angie shares thoughtful, practical perspectives that bridge conventional healthcare with holistic healing. Her mission is not to tell people what to believe, but to encourage curiosity, self-awareness, and the confidence to become active participants in their own healing journey. Whether writing about wellness, leadership, resilience, or transformation, her goal remains the same: to help others remember that healing is not about becoming someone new—it's about returning to who they have always been. - Dr. Erin Attaway, Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine
Dr. Erin Attaway went to acupuncture school in 2003, way before it was cool. She opted out of medical school, graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, and moved to Austin, TX, to learn Chinese medicine. Her friends and family thought she was crazy. Her first acupuncture experience was amazing. She says, “I don’t know how to explain it, I was just a different person when I got up.” That one experience immediately changed her career trajectory, sending her to register at the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin within a few weeks. “I felt like the Universe chose me and all I had to do was show up.” She invested in Chinese medicine for help with some strange health issues. It resolved her problems without any medications or procedures and she became a true believer in the power of clean living, good diet, and physical activity. Sharing this wisdom is her passion. She concentrated on the women in her clinic and focused all of her continuing education on understanding women’s physiology, endocrinology, gynecology and fertility. The necessary ingredients for helping women heal their bodies and minds. She became a Fellow of the American Board of Reproductive Medicine in 2011. A member of the Obstetrical Acupuncture Association in 2017, and added Applied Clinical Nutritionist to her credentials in 2020. In 2023 she finished the Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine program at Pacific College of Health and Science, officially becoming Dr. Erin Attaway.
