- Five Things You Need To Know To Manifest The Life Of Your Dreams
Written by: Cora Howard, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. To obtain our desired lives, we must first be able to articulate the benefits that will come by adopting certain principles and by taking a life that will allow our hearts to love ourselves. To manifest the things we want, we must first decide on what’s important to us and then take action to pursue those things. We must be realistic in our thinking, and we must carefully ensure that we are able to live our desired lives. When our lives begin to fit our expectations, we can begin to write new history of ourselves in our minds. We need to take the steps that will help simplify the way we use affirmations, meditation, and the law of attraction to manifest the life of our dreams. I have sought to simplify this journey by first imitating the life of David, a dreamer who utilized the concepts of spirituality and meditation. To describe the changes, I will first recommend taking the meditation of David’s life in stride. This goal helped me to better understand how important it is for us to dream positively and how far we can go for those dreams. In this article, we will take the steps that will make it easier for us to fulfill our dreams. I will now describe the steps that will help simplify our meditation routine. First, imagine you are David. After you finished meditating, I will advise you to do the following. Start journaling about the life that you are about to embrace. Write about your strengths and weaknesses. Write about your plans for today. Review your previous journal entries, particularly the ones that deal with your aspirations. Reflect on how far you have gotten. This journaling process should take only a few minutes. By doing this exercise, I hope you will have a better perspective about the people that we have in our lives, our direction, and our daily tasks. Ensure that you have time to journal every day. Once you are done with this process, you will have a more rich and meaningful perspective. If you still have time to meditate, this will enhance your experience as you will be able to a little more thoroughly imagine what comes next. Do these 5 steps and I guarantee that your mind will be in a much better state. If you are ever tempted to give up, take note that each step will change your life for the better. This journey will be long and confusing, but it will bring us closer to achieving our goals. Keep pushing forward as we will be able to achieve the success that we want. - I Left My Job But Not For The Reason I Thought It Would Be
Written by: Jerilyn Ito, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. On Friday, October 22, 2021, I resigned from my job as a nurse with the federal government. I had been with this agency in the government for 20 years, and it was the culmination point of my thirty-two-year nursing career. So what led up to this point of my decision? It began with the federal government mandating the vaccine for all government workers, or weekly testing if an exemption was approved. When this all started a few months ago, I was watching how the mandate implementation changed over time and it caused angst within me. I felt this uncertainty despite being aware that I just need to sit with all of this before making a decision. For one, it did not make sense as I teleworked from home, and yet the mandate applied to me. I ran through and analyzed all of the information and at the same time looked at it from an observational standpoint. Of course, it didn’t help by seeing what was going on around world in the news, as well as locally and with my coworkers. At the same time, I continued the inner work of myself, as well as continuing to create programs for clients. But what happened during this time of uncertainty and doubt, or as one would call it chaos or even confusion, I experienced a tremendous evolution of my confidence coaching programs and in the way that I communicate and and shared with my clients. There are many that say that you can’t evolve or change if you are still in your job and need to release it for change. Or that you need to move to a different environment to experience or see the change for yourself. I disagree with this. We are all where we need to be at this point in our life because this is where change occurs, wherever it may be. And for myself, I needed to remain in my job longer than desired because that is what I needed. And in the end, I did not resign because of the vaccine mandate. It did not come into my mind at all with my final decision. I resigned because I felt the change in myself and took action from my soul. Nothing more, nothing less. It just is. If I made the decision based on the mandate or any other outside influence, it would have come from my mind and the person I used to be. You see, we feel a necessity to explain or rationalize everything that we do or say. This comes from constantly explaining ourselves, especially when we take action or make a decision. This also comes into play as people will ask you questions and then want an explanation. This in turn creates doubt within yourself if the action or decision that you made is the correct one. But for myself, I no longer feel the need to explain myself. I now live in a new dimension of myself and I bring experiences to my life in a new and different way. If I were to have made the decision based on the mandate, that would be my old self making that decision, and not who I am now. I make decisions and take actions that are led by my soul which is with complete trust and belief in myself. And as an Intuitive Confidence Coach, this is what I guide my clients to discover within themselves. Trust, belief and faith in themselves from their soul. Your soul communicates to you all the time through your intuition. And I’m not saying to trust your intuition, but that intuition from your soul is the trust. And this is confidence from your soul. - How People Pleasing Impacts Your Business & How To Break The Pattern
Written by: Jane Christine, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Do you ever feel exceedingly concerned for others? Do you find you’re adapting your programs and services to fit every individual client? Do you endeavour to keep the peace and avoid conflict at all costs? Even if that means putting your needs and wants last? Now, before we get into why people-pleasing can negatively impact your business and life, I want to first state that helping others and serving the needs of your clients and team members is an amazing quality to have. Being able to use your empathetic nature, caring and compassionate ways to enhance the lives of others is a wonderful and admirable quality to possess. Your clients are better off because of it, however, when you don’t direct these same traits towards yourself, you may become disconnected from your own needs and wants because you’ve been hiding your authentic self under this layer of protection for so long. “Instinctually you to wanted to be included in your tribe” The brainstem is the part of your brain responsible for your instinctual impulses and behaviours, self-protection is programmed into your brain to survive. But there is a real fear carried over from cave(wo)man times when people-pleasing was a matter of life and death. Instinctually you to wanted to be included in your tribe, as if you were excluded and left alone it would mean death in the wild as you couldn’t survive on your own. So, it makes sense why you use people-pleasing as a self-protection strategy – especially when you want to avoid conflict and criticism. Unconsciously you’re looking for safety, acceptance, approval, love and security when you say yes to everything asked of you. When you are constantly changing your plans and services to accommodate the needs of others. I’m pretty sure you feel overwhelmed, overloaded and resentful when your kind nature is taken for granted. How It Impacts Your Business Your people-pleasing can manifest in your business like: Undercharging your offers, products, and services Working outside your normal office hours Holding back your truths for fear of backlash You find it difficult to say “no” Go above and beyond to impress even when you feel uncomfortable Don’t take action, as you’re worrying what others might think Procrastinate raising your prices You base your decisions on the approval of others Feel guilty if you make a mistake, it will disappoint others “It all comes down to building your confidence to respectfully maintain your boundaries.” Now like so many others like yourself, you’ve probably identified with many of the repercussions from people-pleasing within your business. And you’re asking, ever so politely “Jane, how can I break this people-pleasing pattern?” Well, I’ve got you covered! It all comes down to building your confidence to respectfully maintain your boundaries. Of course, confidence isn’t something that can magically appear by reading this article, that comes with a rapid transformation over a few months working with me. But I wanted to give you 6 tips to get you on your way. 6 Ways To Break Your People-Pleasing Pattern Establish your boundaries: what are your business boundaries? Your office hours? Your response time? Your non-negotiable items? Your prices? What type of person do you want to work with? Open communication: set your expectations upfront. Create an onboarding pack with all the information, expectations, detailed ways to communicate at the start so you don’t have to feel uneasy telling them to your clients. No one can read your mind: being honest and transparent will build trust and respect between yourself and your clients, say what’s on your mind and stay true to your mission. Relationships are mutual and you are not entirely responsible for how they are cultivated. Don’t wait for permission from someone else: you don’t need to approve of anyone else, you are the only person 100% invested in how your life is lived, give permission to yourself. Practice saying “NO”: start with something small and remember saying “no” doesn’t have to be mean or rude, say it with a smile and a thank you, you’ll be surprised with how easy people will respect your friendly “no, thank you”. Do something for yourself: your needs and wants should come first, actually putting them first will allow you to serve others better as your cup will be full of love, happiness, and energy. Book in something once a week that is purely for nourishing your soul. A dance lesson, singing, massage, trip to the beach, read a non-business-related book, etc. But getting to the root cause of why you feel compelled to people please in the first place is where the real transformation occurs. I recommend finding a mindset coach that understands your sensitive nature, that specialises in neuroscience and can give you the techniques to enhance your mental strategies and unleash your inner confidence. You can have a rapid transformation to break your people-pleasing patterns and confidently take steps to unapologetically set boundaries. You are loved and are enough just as you are, and once we uncover the belief that is perpetuating this behaviour and reframe your mindset, you’ll start to show up authentically and feeling worthy that you’re putting your needs first as you are the priority and that attracts your audience. - Finding The Courage To Get Unstuck
Written by: Kaye Doran, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Have you ever felt stuck; like a car stuck in the mud spinning its wheels and not getting anywhere? Perhaps you aren’t yet aware that your wheels are spinning, and no movement is taking place. Maybe you hate your job, and you know deep down that it is not a good fit for you, and you so desperately want to move on, however for some reason you don’t do anything about it. You start telling yourself stories to justify why you can’t create the change you so desperately want. The stories are generally around money, time, fearful of nothing better to go too, you have been there a long time or simply no time to look. The battle begins between your mind and your knowing. Your reasoning and your desire. The problem is when you don’t act upon the change you seek, you betray yourself at the deepest level. You know you are backing down and this feeds into behaviours that help you mask the fact that you are not actioning what you know you need to. You are not creating the life that you want, need, and deserve. You are empowering the feeling of hopelessness, undeserving and not being good enough. You settle. This robs you of vitality and energy. You feel trapped by your own doing, yet project those trapped feelings onto situations or people around you. Your dreams are robbed by your inability to act. This is when avoidance tactics start to take over. You binge watch tv, drink more than usual, continually pick up your phone to either call people or scroll through social media. You do whatever you can to drown out the voice that whispers to you regarding the change you really want and desperately attempt to not feel disappointed in yourself. Here is what you need to know: You are not alone in this pattern of behaviour. This can happen to anyone at any given point in time. Stop avoiding and recognise that you are feeling stuck. Acknowledge what your fears are. Choose to stop being the passenger and get back into the driver’s seat. Courage is what you need to tap back into. We have all had moments in life where we have been courageous, regardless of how small or how large your act of courage was, it is simply an act of courage. When you revisit that moment, it begins to reignite the feeling and result that went with it. Here is how to re-ignite your courage: Ask yourself the power questions. When was the last time I created change in the face of my fear? What did I tell myself to get over my fear? What did I do that created the change? Did I achieve the change I desired? How good did it feel when I achieved my desired result? How many times have I been courageous in my life? I have done it before, can I do it again? The truth of it is a resounding yes. Of course, you can do it again if you have already been successful. Your history has left you clues! Now, forgive yourself for getting stuck. It does not matter that you were momentarily stuck, even if it was a long moment. What matters is that you start to move. To move, you need to be clear on what you are moving towards. If you are wanting a new job yet do not know exactly what job, do not let that deter you. All you need to do is create the recipe, in other words, get clear on your ingredients. Here are a few things to consider: Do you work better alone or as part of a team? Do you like to sit at a desk or be out on the road? Do you like to serve and support others? Do you like the work to offer variety? What kind of manager do you need? What is the culture of the environment? Do you seek growth opportunities? Do you want to be your own boss? How many days or hours a week do you want to work? What is the income you receive? You really need to become the architect and allow the Universe to be the builder. Now here’s the thing. As you find the courage, get clear on what you want and start taking action, some fear will still remain. Simply buckle the fear into the passenger seat and start driving. With each movement forward, the fear will begin to quieten because you will become energised by being true to yourself. Simply take one step, then another and before you know it you will come face to face with your outcome. You are now a courageous action taking change maker. - The Healing Magic In Change
Written by: Fran Pedron, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. “OH, GOOD GRIEF!” Have you ever said that? It’s all about change. It’s this time of year—every year. What’s Personal to You November brings thoughts of family, friends and celebration. Transitioning from 2021 into 2022, may or may not be your priority right now. Yet, it is resting somewhere in your mind. Are you ready? Whether you are ready or not during this time of year, change happens, and all kinds of interesting challenges prevent you from moving forward. Many finality changes occur and are gift wrapped in similar ways. They may look like this: It’s a disappointment at work—you didn’t get that pay raise, promotion or received a pink slip. You’ve had a death-blowing fight with your romantic interest. Your kids are leaving home for the first time. You had a friend leave without saying another word. The relation apparently has ended, yet you’re not sure. Someone left this world—either a human who was instrumental in keeping you safe, was a warm fuzzy, a four-legged family member who kept you company always, etc. The list is endless. What are you doing when this season ends? How are you handling your loss? Are you moving on in a healthy way? Grief – A Natural Season Grief is a natural response to loss of someone or something that is important to you. You feel a variety of emotions—sadness and loneliness, can be overcome with shock and confusion, and more. Grief can happen for any number of reasons, is a natural part of life, and is intense. In order to overcome these feelings, it is important to remember that grieving is an important process, where you continue to embrace the season you spent together. When you sit there wondering: how does this look or am I ever going to be normal again. There are stages to this process and they are: denial – coming to terms with your loss; anger – reality sets in—you face your pain; bargaining – what you could have done differently, preventing this loss from ever happening; depression – sadness sets in as you begin to understand how your life has changed; acceptance – the final stage this is real. Everyone goes through these five stages, in some fashion. Those who do not must consider IF they want to move forward. Moving forward looks different for everyone. There is no normal amount of time to grieve. Where Do You Go From Here Here depends. You’ll want to ask yourself these questions. Am I tired of grieving? Do I want life to be different? Do I desire to be happy and experience a joyful life? Am I willing to change my limiting beliefs and let go of the past? Am I ready to let go of this grief and move forward? Am I willing to collaborate with someone for support and change? How are you answering these? There are two choices – counseling or coaching. Which do you choose and what are the benefits of each? Counseling addresses your grief by concentrating on the past and coping with “the” loss. Counselors help you through the mourning period. The client starts with the unresolved emotions, then explores the emotions, adds coping skills, and manages grief. Coaching is a catalyst to the new. Coaches guide clients through the present and how to thrive during the healing process, while concentrating on the future. They offer methods to move forward and lead you on the way to recovery. Whichever route you choose, you will want to explore and incorporate healthy lifestyle choices into your daily living. Consider these: taking time to heal; talking to others; adding self-care; returning to things like: hobbies, reading, walking, etc; joining support groups. As you envision living a happy, joyful day-to-day lifestyle, what resonates with you? “If we’re meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet.” Rachal Wolchin For more info, follow me on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and visit my website! I help you build your brand with a book - or build it up even more! I help experts use the process of creating those books to create their entire business infrastructure to scale their business. Hitting Amazon Best Seller is an excellent launch point. Over a lifetime of work - so far - I’ve experienced the roles of student, employee, corporate management, consultant, tech start-up co-founder, syndicated columnist, author, publisher, marketing agency owner, real estate investor, and owner of a boxing gym. What emerged from those experiences is a passion for working with success-and-mission-driven entrepreneurs to help them tell their stories and significantly grow their influence, audience, and revenue, which leads to making a much greater impact. I adore business because I am fascinated by problem-solving and believe we each have unrealized potential for greatness and for giving back to the world that gives us so much. If you want to talk about joining our current USA Today/WSJ Best Seller Anthology, you may go directly to booking a time to speak https://calendly.com/milliondollarstory/usa-today-anthology (Please note: I am in the US on EST.) As a person who works to help experts write best-selling books, what would you say is the 1 tip on how to become a successful author? Write a book! Haha! Seriously, so many people say they want to write a book but very few actually follow through. Know that if you don’t like to write, or don’t feel as if you are good at it, that shouldn’t stand in your way. As long as you have learned or earned experience, stories to tell, inspiration and encouragement to share, and an offer to make that will help solve someone’s problem, you can speak your book, and get a great editor or hybrid ghostwriter to massage your words into consumable, readable content. Also know that, with the right team working with you, you can write, publish, and market to Best Seller in 90 days a book that will change someone’s life. This is not a multi-year process! Finally, know why you want to write a book - know what success looks like to you before you go through the process. Very few people make money from book sales; the money comes from the back-end, from selling your offer. When you write strategically you can even create a book and a high-ticket offer simultaneously; Million Dollar Story Agency can show you how or help you do just that quickly and painlessly. Have you encountered any major challenges during your journey and how have these affected you? I host a podcast called Million Dollar PIVOT where we discuss encounters with unexpected challenges during our journey. I don’t believe there is an entrepreneur, or even any adult in general, who hasn’t faced hurdles, obstacles, setbacks, disappointments, or failures. Hopefully they teach you at the very least to have grace and gratitude. If we don’t experience lows we can’t appreciate highs. If we don’t encounter challenges, we can’t grow and be proud of our resilience and capabilities. If we don’t stumble, we can’t learn to reach out to others for help. Personal tragedies and professional betrayals can - if we let them - serve to remind us how precious every moment and every good relationship can be. We always have a choice in how we hold what happens to us or for us. That is why I love sharing stories; they allow us to turn heartache into meaning that serves others and heals us. Today we live in a world where thousands of books are being published every day. What is the best way, for someone who is in the process of writing a book, to achieve visibility and brand authority? People choose to write books for different reasons. And books can be defined differently. When I say ‘book’ you might envision a cookbook, a kid’s board book, a journal of blank pages, a textbook, a biography, a book of poetry, or a great thriller. Books can be pocket-sized, filled with lists, or inspirational quotes, or fat and heavy enough to hold your door open in a strong wind! In my world of non-fiction business how-to books, the best way to achieve visibility and brand authority is to write strategically. Know exactly what you hope to accomplish and what defines success for you, before you begin writing. Have your stories lead to an offer so that a reader or prospect adds their name to your email list where you will continue to nurture them and provide value. Better yet, organize your content in such a way that it mirrors a digital course or group mastermind. When you finish with your book, provide it in different formats because people consume information differently. Be sure to have an ebook, a print book, and an audiobook, and then offer a chance to work with you directly so that the book leads them into your value ladder. Then you stand out as someone who actually provides solutions to their pain. Is there something special that keeps you motivated? I am so fortunate to hear stories from amazing entrepreneurs who appear to be overnight successes but who have all fought a good fight to achieve their status. I have the privilege of being the conduit to get those stories out into the world to make a difference and serve others. I laugh and cry often as I meet exceptional entrepreneurs driven to start a movement of transformation. It compels me to do better, learn more, and reach higher. It is why I am a fierce advocate for entrepreneurs and their stories! What makes you feel ‘out of your comfort zone?’ How do you handle these types of situations? It’s perhaps not surprising that as a writer and publisher I am an introvert who prefers to be behind the scenes. As a marketer of books and entrepreneurs, and of my own entrepreneurial efforts, I am compelled to engage with different social media platforms and formats. My least favourite is video and yet metrics show video converts well. Everything can be improved with the right mindset; therefore I have frequent opportunities to embrace discomfort and have fun with it, letting go of the outcome and simply doing my best! So, what’s the next big goal or project for Jamie and how can someone get in contact with you? I invite readers to join me to top the charts as a 1 USA Today bestselling author. You have the opportunity to join experts, influencers, and entrepreneurs in a bestselling anthology without the huge financial and time investment of attempting to top these exclusive charts on your own. When you come on board with our current project, you will join the ranks of the world’s most elite thought leaders. This is a fit for you if … You are an exceptional influencer with a significant and engaged following. You have travelled the Hero’s Journey and emerged as a leader. You have a powerful story to share. You make a difference on a large scale. You love working with extraordinary and remarkable people. You have a current offer you are passionate about sharing. You share insight and beliefs from a live or virtual stage. You give back based on what you have learned on your journey. If you want to talk about joining our current USA Today/WSJ Best Seller Anthology, you may book a time to speak https://calendly.com/milliondollarstory/usa-today-anthology (Please note: I am in the US on EST.) - Leveraging Universe For Success & Happiness In 4 Easy Steps Plus 3 Important Caveats To Keep In Mind
Written by: Jacqueline Rhule, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. I want to start by explaining how nurturing, supportive and life-giving this wonderful universe is. It supports everything. It sustains life. It quite simply, IS. This universe really does have everything rigged in your favour. Your natural propensity to succeed, to be happy, to live your best life, is already set up. In the words of my favourite metaphysical teacher, Abraham Hicks, “when you ask it is given”. Don’t you think it’s amazing how this huge ball of dirt moves around this big burning star, giving us night and day and everything in between? You couldn’t possibly organise that yourself could you. Be thankful that this benevolent force knows exactly what to do and does it even whilst you sleep. Whatever angle you think from regarding the creation of the universe, I think we can all agree, it’s pretty damn amazing! And Tapping into it from the spiritual perspective, we can do more than “exist” in it, we can leverage it to create success and happiness in our lives, with more fun and faster. This is something everyone would like – agreed? Especially when creating or growing a new/existing business BUT you want to still have a life! I want to start you off with 4 Easy Steps that you can take – right now - to leverage the Universe. You can do it with the prowess of your favourite superheroine/hero… and it doesn’t cost a penny. Towards the end of this article, I will also give you 3 important caveats to these steps. 1. Get detailed and write down how you’d like your life to look. This can be soooo much fun! Unlike James Bond - 007, you are giving yourself a “Licence to THRILL.” Think Aladdin, Genie, Lamp – only you get way more than 3 wishes. Some questions to ask yourself to get your juices flowing when writing: Where do you live? What’s your lifestyle? What’s your family set up? What’s your relationship status? What do you do in your free time? What’s your dream business? What’s your desired income? What’s on your Bucket List? Set the scene for this exercise. Pick a date when you have free time, in a quiet and private setting, comfortable physically and your mind is clear. Get yourself a lovely notebook, a fancy pen and set an intention that you will have the time of your life, creating your ideal life. No holds barred. Fully in your power. Then write your life into being. No filter and dream as big as you can, as whatever you write is private, between you and the universe. For this to be truly expansive and effective, you will have to lose that human tendency to want to make it “realistic” AND resist the urge to include other people’s thoughts, and opinions, into the mix. They haven’t ever walked in your exact shoes so they would never truly understand your desires. 2. Think about who you would need to be to achieve your life and biz goals. How would you ideally want to show up in the world? Would you be strong, knowledgeable, confident, surefooted, loving, caring, happy, lucky, strong in the knowledge that everything you touch turns to gold? Would you believe in yourself and your vision EVEN IF you cannot see anything materialising in the physical first? Think about it, write it down, describing in as much detail as you can. Imagine walking through life as that person – pretty cool right? Embody the thoughts, feelings and attitude of the person you expect to become. The more you embody who you really want to be, the more you will become that person, even whilst nothing much may have changed in the physical world around you - yet. We live in a universe based on attraction, so when you are living from your ideal persona, fully, then your outer world just has to respond to you as that person - eventually. 3. Kick back and visualise your dream life. Set aside, daily, 5 mins, to visualise aspects of what you’ve written, engaging all the emotions. Whenever you have more time and are particularly in a happy and relaxed mood, it’s quite delicious to spend x15 mins visualising your desired outcomes. When you do this regularly, thereby building momentum, more of your existence will be spent believing and acting from who you intend to be. As time goes by, you will start to have your visualisations flashing back in your mind like a “showreel”. This is so magical and I love it when it happens to me. You’ll be going about your daily activities and get a beautiful rush of thoughts, feelings and images of your ideal life, playing for you. When that happens, don’t force it, just let it play out for your pleasure, however fleeting it may be, at first. It’s a gift from the universe telling you you’re right on track. The key is to stay relaxed and not cling to it. Let it come and go. 4. What states of being do you want to achieve for yourself, consistently? Happy, peaceful, loving, enthusiastic, curious, kind, joyful, funny, etc.? The above are all high-frequency states of being. It’s so important to think about because you can have the physical stuff, the people, the businesses, the locations but you need to feel aligned in your soul, operating from those states of being more of the time. After all, the reason you want the stuff is because you believe they will give you those states of being. Once you’ve done the above exercises, you will witness the universe, in its magical motion. You’ll be inspired to take all sorts of actions and you won’t feel drained of energy and enthusiasm doing so. In the meantime, the universe is lining up the perfect people that you want to speak to and the perfect opportunities that you had been seeking. Just think, you couldn’t possibly have sifted through every single opportunity and approached every single person on the planet, in the hope of them/it being just what you were looking for. Keeping your focus allows the universe to lock into your frequency and respond with people, situations and things that match it. This is how it works on your behalf to meet your requests when you leverage it, doing your bit and keeping yourself happy, regardless. Even if you don’t consider yourself spiritual or believe in a higher power, I’m sure you can see how you can enhance your chances of success and happiness, faster, by simply doing the 4 steps I talked about. You’ve primed your brain to be alert to anything that matches your visions and because what you’ve dreamt of thrills you so much, you cannot wait to take action. x3 Caveats to Leveraging the Universe It is fantastic doing the above 4 steps, however, I strongly suggest you take on board the x3 caveats following: I. You have to take any inspired actions that you can, now. The universe is continually dropping ideas into your mind. It’s up to you to follow them. II. Don’t hold to your life unfolding precisely as you’ve dreamt it. The universe has the aerial view and knows every single thing you said you wanted. A lot of stuff you’ve forgotten you even said you wanted. It will better slot things together and guide you towards the fulfilment of your desires, even grander than you could’ve ever managed. III. Visualise then let go. Release any attachment. It helps you stay present in the now and stops you from building up resistance because you don’t see your desires instantly manifest before you. There’s a buffer of time. Embrace it. So, my question to you is, doesn’t it make sense to leverage this amazing universe for more happiness and success, in a faster timescale, without the grind? - Tips For Treating Eczema And Feeling Great
Written by: Josephine Zappia, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Eczema is one of the hardest skin conditions to treat and can be frustrating for both the patient and the practitioner. Often there has been tons of suppressive conventional medicines and creams and homoeopathically we have to unblock that to activate the patients susceptibility before they react well to indicated remedies. While we’re working at the baseline to sustain healing, there are several things you can do in the meantime to relieve the itch and irritability. Looking at new symptoms emerging is crucial to ensure we don't suppress anything while concentrating on the skin. The skin is the outer organ of the body, and I know many patients don’t want to hear this, but better to have your dis-ease there because when the skin condition is suppressed we drive the discord inward to a deeper organ, making it harder to treat and more dangerous. So instead of using suppressive creams, I’ve put together some helpful tips to relieve the itch naturally. 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗔 wounds that do not heal properly Anti-inflammatory activity Antioxidant effect Antimicrobial activity Antibacterial healing Calendula speeds up the recovery of wounds by reducing the bacterial load 𝘈𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦, 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘭𝘢 𝘪𝘴 𝗔 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝘈𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 ~ Sore throats Menstrual cramps Postpartum recovery - help your perineum heal with a gentle bonding w baby bath soak Teeth and/or gum irritations ~ Haemorrhaging (bleed excessively or become infected) after extraction Calendula Tincture or cream : ♧ Antiseptic dressing for simple cuts, open abrasions and lacerated wounds. Aloe - Natural Soothing relief of skin irritations Tissue salts - Minerals used in homeopathic medicine that can be taken without interfering with the constitutional prescription. Nat Mur tissue salts (taken orally) are indicated for eczema and balancing body fluid. - Establishing Success Criteria For YOUR Life To Live It Meaningfully
Written by: Justine Hebert Dinesen, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. If you imagine yourself lying on your deathbed, what would you like to have achieved in your lifetime? My experience is that we often are too busy with life to take the time to reflect on what’s really important for us and to then prioritize accordingly. We go with the flow of our lives without actively driving ourselves towards the life we yearn for. By not taking an active role in defining what is important for us, we often follow the definition of success defined by the society we live in. If you have a great career, a perfect family, a good relationship with your partner, and a collection of wonderful experiences, then you are a success. However, this standard approach to success is quite broad and can seem unrealistic for most of us who juggle with small kids and a demanding job. So, we need to dig into what is important for us and start prioritizing accordingly. We are luckily all different as individuals so it's completely normal that we prioritize our personal lives differently. So what is YOUR success criteria for life and how would you like to prioritize to ensure you live a meaningful life? Here are a few tips to find out what your success criteria are: 1. Try to take a step back and ask yourself: Why did I choose to settle down where I live now? What was appealing to me? Why did I choose this partner for my life? What did I particularly like about him/her? Why did I choose to work where I work now? What was appealing to me? 2. What am I particularly happy about in my life and why? 3. What do I feel I am missing in my life? 4. What would I do if I didn’t have to pay attention to money, time or family? 5. Now take a look at everything you have written down. What are your success criteria for your life? That is to say, what are the 5 most important things you would like to have achieved when you are old? 6. Now try to look at your life and see how you could do things differently to make sure you focus your efforts into the things that really matter to you. What would you like to change in your life? How would you like to prioritise your time? I hope this exercise helps you prioritize your time efficiently so you can focus on the areas that matter and live a more meaningful life. - Feeling Unmotivated, Bored or Lazy?
Written by: Sofia Sevilla, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. The underlying emotion behind these labels. Lately, I've had many encounters with patients and friends that are feeling inadequate in their lives. After a few conversations and a lot of vulnerability on their part, they told me that they were feeling bored, lazy, or unmotivated. As if they know they are meant to be doing something bigger, something beyond their current life situation. Trying to fight against invisible enemies can be challenging until we understand why we are feeling this way. The underlying emotion behind feeling unmotivated, bored, or lazy is FEAR. We have all these expectations, dreams, and desires that we want to achieve, but when we are afraid, the gap between our expectations and everyday reality feels farther apart. So eventually, we unconsciously decide to conform to our current situation, which becomes our comfort zone. We tend to think of our comfort zone as the best place that we could be. But that is not always the case. Sometimes we create our comfort zone in a dysfunctional situation. It is scary and takes a lot of courage to understand that our current situation and what we thought to be our safe space is bringing us down. Fear is then the underlying reason for staying in a dysfunctional comfort zone. Fear is one of the primary emotions that human beings feel. The function of fear is to activate all our senses to prepare us to leave our comfort zone. It brings out our intuition so we can have the possibility to act and respond effectively to changing environments. The fear of failure, rejection, and uncertainty is what keeps us anchored in our comfort zone. Usually, when we are feeling unmotivated, we expect the unexpected to happen. We expect something to change in our lives for us to feel motivated, happy, or better. Which leads to the understanding that if we want to see the change, we need to act. And that's the moment that fears quicks in. We start thinking of all the possible ways our plan to leave the comfort zone could fail. What if I get rejected when I present a new project to my boss? What if I finally decide to pursue my dream and nobody cares? What if (fill in the black)? And so, we stay, and we complain, but at least we don't feel fear. Boredom is a dissociated state. Most likely, when a person feels bored, they feel stuck in an environment, moment, or situation without the emotional ability to change it. Feeling stuck immediately puts the person in a position of a victim, where they think they have no active protagonism over their daily life. Boredom can be beneficial when we need to get from one place to another or get us through the day in a dissociative state, such as a class in college or a meeting at work. Boredom can also be constructive when we understand the background message that it carries. Usually, when we feel bored, we know we can do more or do something else, but we fear leaving our victimhood of boredom. The decision to leave the victim position requires vulnerability and courage because it forces us to start being active participants in our daily activities. Laziness is usually an excuse to avoid doing something we don't want to do or to do not something because of fear of the results. Humans are active beings; no one consciously wants to feel unproductive or incapable of doing something. So, no one wants to feel lazy unless it has an underlying function, such as being the perfect excuse to avoid feeling fear. Three things we can do when we are feeling stuck: We should start by changing our mindset to overcome boredom, lack of motivation, or laziness. For the first few days, we can try to incorporate only positive thoughts into our daily routine. Feeling good about the things we currently have in our lives can be a practical strategy to avoid the toxic positivism trap, which can bring you back to a dissociative state. This strategy goes along the lines of gratitude, which we know is a significant component to build resilience and wellbeing. Once we start bringing awareness to the positive aspects of a current situation, this can reinforce the feeling of self-worth and self-esteem to take action. If I understand and feel worthy of something, I know that fear will not limit me. ACT! We all know how powerful our minds could be, especially when we feel unmotivated, lazy, or bored. Following the theory behind exposure therapy, we could modify our limiting beliefs and thoughts or change our conduct to alter our minds. Before acting, we need to go back to understanding the function behind feeling fear. We know that fear is an emotion that activates all our senses, so we are prepared to leave our comfort zone. Knowing that our body is activated, we should use this in our favor to act. For example, if I have a meeting with my boss to present a new project, I thank my fear because it helps me actively listen to what my boss has to say, observe if I'm engaging my audience, and keep me alert throughout the meeting. So, this helps us get out of our heads and start moving towards being active participants in our own life. Accept reality as it is and start working from there. It's easier to align our thoughts to our reality than to align our reality to our thoughts. Being aware of our beliefs, identifying the emotions, connecting with our body in the present moment is the only way to modify our current state. I encourage people to have flexible short and long-term dreams and goals and work on the present moment to achieve these plans. To emphasize flexibility because we never know what the future will bring, and we must be willing to change and modify our dreams to the uncertainty of life. The idea is to align our present moment with our goals. Let’s connect and start your therapeutic process towards wellbeing. - A Tree Stump's Lessons Of Connection
Written by: Silke Hable, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. During a hike in Germany’s Odenwald region, where I live and work, I recently discovered the stump of a spruce that had been felled many years ago. But unlike what I would have expected, the stump was not rotten and weathered. It was - rather: it is - completely covered with bark. It‘s alive. The stump is supplied with water and nutrients by the neighbouring trees. They still keep the felled spruce alive and take care of it. "In nature, the fittest always wins." That's what I once learned at school: If you're not strong enough, fast enough, smart enough, healthy enough – well, you die. What’s not efficient, has to go. Does this somehow remind you of our “human world”? If you can't keep up in today’s fast-paced life, you're often deemed weak or even a loser. If you don't perform well enough, you’re of no benefit for the company. What’s not efficient, has to go? The question is: What do we make of this? Do we get our elbows out, boxing away who- and whatever stands in our path? Making sure to put ourselves in the best possible light? Always trying to appear that tiny bit better, faster, more efficient than our colleagues in front of the boss? Let’s return to the forest and the tree stump. Biological research has long proven time and again that in nature, it is not necessarily the stronger, fitter or faster individual that survives. It is by no means necessarily the one who clears his path most recklessly who in the end prevails. Instead, nature and especially the forest rely on networking. On cooperation. On mutual support and best possible cooperation. Why? Because everyone, even the tiniest creature, is important for the ecosystem as a whole - for the wellbeing of the entire community. We could learn from this as humans, don’t you think? Think about it: Other trees are keeping the stump of a long-felled neighbouring tree alive, and have done so for many years. They share valuable nutrients and precious water to keep the stump from dying. Why do they do this? Biologists suspect that trees like the felled spruce were particularly well connected, since every tree in a forest is directly or indirectly connected to every other tree by both coarse and fine roots and a widely ramified network of mycorrhiza (a fungal network in the soil). The trees are using this "wood wide web" to communicate. They exchange information and nutrients or warn each other of vermin infestations: They often help each other when a tree receives too few nutrients at its location or has too little water available. The more intact the soil and thus the interconnectedness of the individual trees is, the better they can communicate and give each other what they need. This strengthens the entire forest - and everyone living in this complex ecosystem benefits. This applies not just to trees and forests. In nature, most various and complex cooperations (symbioses) are known in literally every habitat. And whoever cooperates in nature with another of his kind or with another species, usually benefits from this cooperation directly or indirectly. Now let’s apply this to our human world. How much more could we achieve as a team or even as a society if we put an emphasis on cooperation and on each individual’s strengths – and on how those can complement each other and contribute to the benefit of all? Now, don’t get me wrong: Not everything in nature is based on cooperation and connection. By far not everything is peaceful and friendly. Even in nature there is a certain amount of rivalry and competition. However, in an intact and working ecosystem, in a healthy and balanced amount. From which, overall, once again the ecosystem benefits as a whole. In my work as a coach, I like to take my clients out into the forest. For good reason: The forest is a powerful healing space for both body and soul. Because the forest also communicates with us as humans. First of all, the uncounted shades of green combine to a natural form of “color therapy”: Green is known to have a balancing, soothing, harmonizing effect on us. A group of scientists around medical researcher Roger Ulrich made an interesting find in the early 1980’s: After surgery, their patients needed fewer painkillers if through the windows of their hospital room they looked at lush green trees – while looking at the wall of a house was associated with a higher rate of complications. Yoshifumi Miyazaki of Chiba University (Japan) and a group of fellow scientists have shown in 2018 that the mere sight of a real forest can lower stress hormone levels in the blood by an average of 13.4 percent. The most well-known pioneer of forest medicine probably is Prof. Qing Li of Nippon Medical School in Tokyo, Japan: He was able to show that breathing in terpenes – substances that trees emit for communication – lowers blood pressure, the level of stress hormones in the blood as well as blood sugar levels. And these are just a few of the positive effects we can experience by regular, ideally prolonged visits to a forest. Surprising, isn’t it? Well, not necessarily: For thousands of years, nature literally was our living room. We fully depended on nature: Food, wood for fire and shelter, medicine – nature provided it all. Our entire body was tuned in to nature. And it still is: Although we are becoming increasingly alienated from nature in our everyday lives, our brain has remained virtually unchanged for the last 10,000 years. It still operates largely as it did in the days of saber-toothed tigers and cave bears. As does our autonomic nervous system, which also controls our stress responses. Nature is still talking to us – and our nervous system is listening. Connection with others has been vital for our stone-age ancestors: It guaranteed safety, well-being and sustenance. Connection with other human beings is still vital for us: We are just now beginning to see the negative effects of social distancing during the pandemic – resulting, for example, in higher rates of mental illness. In today’s fast-paced, highly individualized world, connection with others and cooperation for the benefit of us all seem more important for our mental (and physical) health than it probably has been in a very long time. Nature is supporting us and teaching us – if we let her. Why not take the tree stump as an example? Let me invite you to an experiment: The next time you are out in the woods or in nature, look for tree stumps that are being kept alive by their neighbours. Or look for other examples of cooperation. What do you discover – and how could you learn from it for your own life? Follow me on Facebook, LinkedIn, and visit my website for more info! - One Simple And Lazy Step To Make Your Business, Sparkle, Glow In The Dark, And Look Like A Unicorn
Written by: Amy Vredenburgh, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. If this is another gratitude list idea, I’d rather face plant into a pile of dirt. Infusing your entrepreneurial journey with The Law of Attraction, the lazy way. I started my own entrepreneurial journey with a bucket of imposter syndrome, a nervous stomach with Pepto in every pocket, and a few (ok a lot) more grey hairs than when I started. Not only did I feel clueless, terrified, and worried about the benjamins coming in… but I needed a hell of a lot more support than what I was getting. So if you take those ingredients to my first ever entrepreneurial cake… one might think it must have sucked, failed, tanked, or I threw it the deuces and went back to being a worker bee for anyone else but myself! But I didn’t. I held on to and soaked in any support, help, podcasts, checklists, YouTube videos and collected as many Starbucks stars as I could, as I dipped my stubby toes into private practice waters. AND I dug deep, and I mean deep, into The Law of Attraction to propel my pants sh*tting journey and help me find some sort of calm again. And not only a calm, but a sense of abundance that blew my little therapist brain, right out of the water. I knew of The Law of Attraction prior to my pants sh*tting private practice journey, and at the same time, it was hard to put that into practice when I was so lost and overwhelmed. I also knew how to infuse it into my day to day life but didn’t really understand how to do this with business life. But I knew that I needed to. I knew it was going to be the difference between a business that was a headache and a pain in the *ss, and a business that made me feel like it was going to take care of me and let me watch “just one more” episode of Love Island. Not only did my private practice take off and thrive, but it is now transitioning to a solely cash pay and virtual practice AND I have now started a new endeavor helping other adorable therapists start their own heart pounding journey of starting their own thriving private practice. One that feels like it’s on autopilot and cruising at full throttle with The Law of Attraction, busting out of the seams. And if there is one thing I can speak to, of how I infused and taught The Law of Attraction on the day to day and in my course, it is not just your average gratitude list or rainbows and unicorns oozing out of your ears. I mean, “yes” gratitude and love are the highest frequencies, the highest vibrations, and they completely help with manifestations. AND at the same time, sometimes just finding a similar tone, a similar feeling, can be all that’s needed. I have manifested the most abundance in my life by simply taking all my geeking out on Law of Attraction and boiling it down to one thing - thinking about how many K-cups I have waiting in a drawer. By how easy and effortless coffee comes to me in my life. It shows up, every f*cking morning, waiting for me to enjoy it. It’s there to give me a boost, some joy, and a perk every morning. Abundantly showing up for me every morning. I don’t have doubts it will be there, I know it will be there, and in high quantity! And I love it and am grateful for it. I get excited about it and it makes me so happy. I want this same feeling I have with coffee, to flow into my businesses and to be how I feel about money, abundance, and security. Something that is just effortlessly there, that I love, and to be enjoyed. Heck yes! I call this, the twin feeling. So, sometimes it’s not about making a gratitude list to shift your vibration, only thinking happy thoughts, visualizing your future and all the things you want until you are pink, blue, and purple in the face... sometimes it’s about finding a twin feeling in the now to what your end goal, your next month’s income, your dream vacation, your soulmate, and your dream body will feel like in your epic life. What are twin feelings that are happening right now that already produce a similar feeling? Latch on to those twin feelings and replay the sh*t out of them, whenever you get a chance. Over and over. Let’s say you want your business to explode (in a good way, ha!) which means you need to find twin feelings in your now related to excitement, security, constant flow, feelings of “holy shit,” and relief. Does your car give you that when you think about how you bought it, how it’s there for you every day, how it provides you with a sh*t ton of opportunity in life, and relief of the effortlessness of doing all of those things? Do any soon to be travel plans make you feel that way? The abundance of seeing new things, trying new food, meeting new people, and the “Holy shit! that was so much fun” just constantly flowing into your reality? What about thinking about where you used to be 10 years ago and where you are now? Does that cause excitement about things evolving, growing, and all that potential? If there is resistance and challenging emotions popping up, then pivot and find something else! What about if you are dating someone right now that you are just so f*cking jazzed about? Do you feel that excitement, joy, passion, and that “holy sh*t” feeling of how it’s evolving into something epic? Or maybe you have a favorite sandwich shop and this sandwich shop is always there for you. There for you with something that makes you excited and so satisfied. It’s always providing and giving an abundant sandwich of your favorite ingredients, effortlessly. And you feel happy with the explosion of deliciousness everytime you eat it. Twin feelings baby! So whenever you think about how much you want your business to prosper but you go to all the annoying-like-your-Uncle-Tom self doubts, problem solving, fear and stress… just find a twin feeling in your life right now and soak in it! Soak in it like you’re a frozen mountain man/woman/ they who hasn’t seen a hot tub in 20 years! And when you think about that twin feeling, and you go about your shiny day from that emotional place, you take actions that lead you to exactly where you want to be. You see things showing up: opportunities, conversations, sales, moments, checks in the mail, and clients popping on your calendar because you are going about your day from that twin feeling, emotional place. You are going about your day from that twin feeling that you are soaking in and thinking about as often as you can. When you are soaking in that twin feeling, you don’t need to force the “how” of your entrepreneurial journey. You don’t need to think it to death to find the next step. Things just pop up and flow. You get in tune with what feels like the least resistance, and give it a dinosaur sized “heck yes!” That’s it. This is honestly all I have been practicing for the past year, and it has made The Law of Attraction that much easier… and I have honestly been that much lazier with my practice of it. Lazier while seeing a heck of a lot more prosperity, opportunity, and abundance than when I was practicing all of the 3,478 Law of Attraction mindset techniques I had learned from the 578 related books. It’s funny how you can peel off so many layers of an idea, to grasp one that really f*cking works for you, and then to really see a sh*t ton of change. I think a big ol’ “Keep it simple Sally!” is in order here. I think that, in itself, is an act of law of attraction. When we feel so complicated about something in our lives like our business, relationships, a concept or idea (like The Law of Attraction) it can feel overwhelming, stressful, and like you're failing… and then that adds to your vibration/ emotional place also. So why not simplify The Law of Attraction so your vibration about it is lighter, effortless, and exciting (all emotions that are typically related to those shiny things you want!). All you get to do, before going back to “just one more episode on Netflix,” is to “put your order in” of what you want with your life, business, relationships, body, income, and health. Then, find a twin feeling of something in your life right now and just soak in that. Be in that emotion and twin feeling, and act and go about your life from that emotional space as much as possible. And then just sit back, be in awe, enjoy your ice cream, soak in how f*cking epic you actually are, and watch your entrepreneurial journey really start to sparkle, glow, and sh*t out unicorns.
