I Left My Job But Not For The Reason I Thought It Would Be

On Friday, October 22, 2021, I resigned from my job as a nurse with the federal government. I had been with this agency in the government for 20 years, and it was the culmination point of my thirty-two-year nursing career.

So what led up to this point of my decision?

It began with the federal government mandating the vaccine for all government workers, or weekly testing if an exemption was approved. When this all started a few months ago, I was watching how the mandate implementation changed over time and it caused angst within me. I felt this uncertainty despite being aware that I just need to sit with all of this before making a decision.

For one, it did not make sense as I teleworked from home, and yet the mandate applied to me. I ran through and analyzed all of the information and at the same time looked at it from an observational standpoint.

Of course, it didn’t help by seeing what was going on around world in the news, as well as locally and with my coworkers.

At the same time, I continued the inner work of myself, as well as continuing to create programs for clients.

But what happened during this time of uncertainty and doubt, or as one would call it chaos or even confusion, I experienced a tremendous evolution of my confidence coaching programs and in the way that I communicate and and shared with my clients.

There are many that say that you can’t evolve or change if you are still in your job and need to release it for change. Or that you need to move to a different environment to experience or see the change for yourself.

I disagree with this.

We are all where we need to be at this point in our life because this is where change occurs, wherever it may be. And for myself, I needed to remain in my job longer than desired because that is what I needed.

And in the end, I did not resign because of the vaccine mandate. It did not come into my mind at all with my final decision.

I resigned because I felt the change in myself and took action from my soul.

Nothing more, nothing less. It just is.

If I made the decision based on the mandate or any other outside influence, it would have come from my mind and the person I used to be.

You see, we feel a necessity to explain or rationalize everything that we do or say. This comes from constantly explaining ourselves, especially when we take action or make a decision. This also comes into play as people will ask you questions and then want an explanation. This in turn creates doubt within yourself if the action or decision that you made is the correct one.

But for myself, I no longer feel the need to explain myself.

I now live in a new dimension of myself and I bring experiences to my life in a new and different way. If I were to have made the decision based on the mandate, that would be my old self making that decision, and not who I am now.

I make decisions and take actions that are led by my soul which is with complete trust and belief in myself.

And as an Intuitive Confidence Coach, this is what I guide my clients to discover within themselves. Trust, belief and faith in themselves from their soul.

Your soul communicates to you all the time through your intuition. And I’m not saying to trust your intuition, but that intuition from your soul is the trust.

And this is confidence from your soul.
