Hen'a Yadav, Founder of the Identity Studio, Hena.Life | Principal at Stickman Tribe, London

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

I’m Hen’a, a creative, working at the intersection of space and soul.

I lead concept design at Stickman Tribe, a global hospitality studio celebrated for its bold storytelling and deeply human approach to place-making. Over two decades, I’ve shaped experiences for leading hotels, from the Shangri-La Wellness Club in New Delhi to the upcoming Kimpton, Dubai.

I was born in Mumbai, raised in Kathmandu, educated in Montreal, and began my career in Dubai. Life has since taken me across Hong Kong, Singapore, California, and now London, each city colouring how I see the world and deepening the cultural lens through which I create.

For the past twenty years, I’ve shared this journey with Sky, my husband and anchor, the steady force beneath every creative leap.

At Stickman, they call me the “Culture Queen”, a reflection of what I value most: helping people remember who they are and what they stand for. I believe design isn’t just about how something looks, it’s about how it feels, the story it tells, and the truth it holds.

And when I’m not designing, I am coaching.

Through my platform, Identity Studio, I guide creatives, leaders, and seekers through a transformational process of unmasking, redesigning, and reigniting their relationship with themselves. It’s where the philosophy that shapes my hospitality work becomes deeply personal, helping people rediscover their essence and create lives that feel like home.

And when I’m not designing or coaching, I’m walking my dog, my daily reminder that happiness lives in the simplest rituals: sunlight, stillness, and coming home.

Can you share the inspiration behind starting Hen’a.life, and what mission drives your business?

After twenty years of designing hotels, I realized something simple but profound: the way we design a space mirrors how we design a life. In both, the essence defines everything else.

Around the same time, I became deeply curious about the Ayurvedic concept of ama, undigested residue that accumulates when something is left unprocessed. What fascinated me most was emotional ama, the feelings we suppress, the truths we avoid, and the parts of ourselves we leave unattended.

In design, we recognize immediately when energy in a room feels blocked, heavy, or stagnant. In humans, emotional ama creates the same effect. It disconnects us from clarity, belonging, and flow.

That realization sparked what I now call Neuro-Space, the understanding that our inner world and outer world constantly shape one another. When you shift one, you shift the other. It’s the bridge between the psychology of self and the architecture of space.

This intersection became the seed of Hen’a.life, an identity studio dedicated to bringing the human back into design and the design back into life. It’s where my hospitality expertise meets my passion for emotional, energetic, and creative transformation.

My mission is to help people design lives, brands, and spaces that feel like home to their truth, blending storytelling, strategy, emotional awareness, and soul work to reconnect them with their inner architecture.

Because alignment isn’t something we stumble into. It’s something we design from within.

What has been the most rewarding aspect of running Hen’a.life so far?

For me, the greatest reward has been witnessing the moment people return to themselves, that quiet shift when something clicks inside and they finally recognise their own truth again. Whether it’s a creative rediscovering their flow or a leader finding the courage to express who they really are, it mirrors the feeling I get when someone walks into a space I’ve designed and says, “This feels right.”

What fascinates me most is the inner architecture of human life, the beliefs we build, the emotions we store, the patterns we repeat, and the stories we inherit. Every person carries a whole interior world, and I am endlessly curious about how it’s constructed and how it can be redesigned.

Hen’a.life allows me to explore that world with people in the most meaningful way.

Design has always been emotional for me, but now, instead of shaping how a room feels, I help people shape how they feel.

Through this work, I get to witness something profound: when a person comes back into alignment with who they really are, their whole life begins to rearrange itself around that truth.

That, to me, is the most beautiful form of design.

Tell us about your greatest career achievement so far.

My greatest achievement isn’t a single project; it’s the two-decade journey of designing hotels that, in their own way, designed me. Every space I created taught me something about people, emotion, culture, and belonging. But perhaps the most profound lesson came quietly: to truly design the world outside me, I had to understand the world within me.

Learning to recognize, understand, and rebuild my own inner architecture has been my most transformative accomplishment. It required the same curiosity, patience, and intentionality I bring to my hospitality work, only this time, the blueprint was my own mind, emotions, and identity.

At Stickman Tribe, I’ve created spaces that move people, where story, culture, and identity intertwine. That work naturally evolved into the birth of Hen’a.life, and later, Identity Studio, where I now apply the same design principles to human transformation.

Whether I’m shaping a brand, elevating a space, or guiding a person back to themselves, my belief remains the same:

Essence defines experience – inside and out.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

A few years ago, I hit creative burnout. I was designing beauty, but not truth. I realized I’d been creating from my head, not my heart.

That moment became my turning point. I began asking deeper questions about meaning, purpose, and alignment, and those questions became the seed of Hen’a.life.

It reminded me that creativity isn’t about producing more; it’s about returning to who we are beneath all the doing. The most powerful design, I’ve learned, is self-design – the architecture of becoming whole.
