Who is Joanne Pagett? Introduce yourself, your hobbies, your favourites, you at home and in business. Tell us something interesting about yourself.
Joanne Pagett is an Award-Winning Women’s Wellness Coach, Strategist, Author, Speaker, Mentor, and Founder of The Female Energy P.O.W.E.R System™, a transformational framework that empowers women in midlife to go from Grey to Glorious, reigniting their health, confidence, and purpose. Joanne believes midlife isn’t a crisis, it’s a calling, and she’s on a mission to prove that every woman deserves to feel seen, supported, and strong.
With over 25 years in corporate leadership and business transformation, Joanne bridges two worlds: she empowers women to rediscover who they are beyond midlife, and she partners with organisations to create workplace wellbeing strategies that support female employees through perimenopause and life transitions. Her mission is simple: to help women and workplaces thrive, not just survive.
Outside of work, Joanne is passionate about strength training, having recently retired as a competitive bodybuilding athlete, something she credits for building not only her body but her mindset, resilience, and sense of power. You’ll often still find her in the gym, helping others, exploring nature, spending time with her husband and two cats, or writing about the emotional and physical evolution of modern midlife womanhood.
What inspired you to become a Life Evolution Guide/Wellness Strategist?
My inspiration came from witnessing too many incredible women quietly fade into the background of their own lives. At the age of 36, I had a hysterectomy, which instantly put me into menopause. During this phase, I lost my identity and who I was. I felt as if I’d become an old woman overnight. This led me to understand more about what my body needed to heal, grow, and support my wellbeing.
After spending more than 25 years in corporate leadership, I saw how often women gave everything to their careers, families, and responsibilities, until one day, they looked in the mirror and no longer recognised the woman staring back.
That moment of disconnection was one I knew personally, too. I experienced burnout twice, the hormonal shifts, and the identity blurs that midlife can bring. Instead of accepting it as a decline, I made it my mission to reframe it as an evolution, a powerful awakening.
Becoming a Women’s Wellness Strategist wasn’t a career move; it was a calling. It’s about reminding women that midlife isn’t the end of who they were, it’s the beginning of who they’re becoming.
Who are you ideally helping (describe your target client), and what challenges are they facing?
I work with two groups who are deeply connected: women in midlife and the organisations that employ them.
For individual women, my clients are often high-achieving professionals, business owners, or leaders who have spent years giving to everyone else, their families, careers, and teams, until they feel stuck, flat, or invisible. They are navigating hormonal changes, burnout, or a loss of identity, and they are ready to rediscover their confidence, energy, and sense of purpose. I empower them to move from “Grey to Glorious”, reclaiming their true self, health, and mindset.
For HR Leaders and business owners, particularly in Construction and Tech, I support the challenge of turning wellbeing from a box-ticking exercise into a genuine business strategy. Many want to support their female employees through perimenopause and life transitions, but are not sure where to start or how to approach the conversation. Using The Workplace Wellness P.O.W.E.R Framework™, I help them design practical, inclusive wellbeing frameworks that improve retention, engagement, and culture, creating workplaces where women can truly thrive. Putting wellbeing on the strategic agenda.
What is the core transformation or result you promise your clients?
The core transformation I promise is to help my clients step into who they are becoming. To rediscover their true selves, rebuild their energy through better nutrition, and gain clarity on what they want to achieve emotionally, physically, and professionally.
For these women who’ve spent years holding everything together, I guide them from disconnection to embodiment, from feeling invisible, exhausted, and unsure of who they are, to feeling vibrant, confident, and fully alive in their own identity again.
Through this process, they reclaim authority over their health, mindset, and direction, and the organisations they’re part of learn how to support that same evolution within their teams.
Ultimately, I help women and workplaces transform midlife from a chapter of depletion into a season of power, potential, and purpose.
Can you walk us through your unique framework or process (for example, your “Female Energy P.O.W.E.R System”)?
The Female Energy P.O.W.E.R System™ is a transformational mentoring framework designed to help women in midlife reclaim their energy, passion, purpose, identity, and direction, both personally and professionally. It isn’t about surface-level motivation; it’s a complete mind-body reset that guides my clients back to their inner strength, clarity, and confidence.
Each pillar represents a psychological and physical shift that rebuilds self-trust and forward momentum:
P – Purpose, O – Opportunity, W – Wellness, E – Engagement, R – Reawaken
This process works on both emotional identity and strategic action, creating measurable change in confidence, health, and performance. At its core, P.O.W.E.R helps women stop surviving midlife and start leading it, turning what once felt like an ending into the most powerful new beginning.
Why is this transformation so important for women in their prime right now?
Because midlife is no longer a quiet crossroads, it’s a pressure point. Women in their prime are leading teams, managing households, and carrying the emotional weight of everyone around them, all while navigating profound hormonal, physical, and mental shifts. Yet I talk to many women who tell me they don’t understand what’s happening or act on these changes, and proceed with the approach of “I’m fine”.
This transformation matters because when women reconnect with their energy, purpose, and identity, their performance transforms too. Focus sharpens. Decision-making improves. Confidence returns. They communicate with greater authority and authenticity, not through force, but through presence.
For organisations, this isn’t just a wellness issue; it’s a performance strategy. An empowered female workforce creates stronger cultures, retains talent, and drives innovation. Often in workplaces, these transitions are invisible. The result is exhaustion, emotional detachment, and declining confidence that quietly erodes both wellbeing and performance.
We are living in a time where women’s wellbeing directly influences business outcomes. When women rise with renewed energy and clarity, they don’t just transform their own lives; they elevate the performance of everyone around them.
What common myths or misconceptions do you help your clients overcome?
One of the biggest myths I help women overcome is the belief that they are too old! Many clients tell me they have been conditioned to see this phase as a decline, as this is how society expects them to behave, in energy, relevance, and possibility. This is absolute nonsense; it’s a powerful recalibration. Today, women in their 40s and 50s are standing at a powerful crossroads: wiser, stronger, and more self-aware than ever, yet often questioning what’s next and craving a deeper sense of purpose, energy, and fulfilment.
Another misconception is that burnout and low energy are “just part of getting older.” They’re not. They are signs that your body and mind are asking for attention, not surrender. Understanding the science behind the hormones, gut, and brain relationship, nutrition, and mindset rebuilds vitality and confidence from the inside out.
In the workplace, I help leaders challenge the myth that supporting women’s wellbeing is a “soft” initiative. When female employees are well, they perform at their peak, engagement rises, retention improves, and business outcomes follow.
Midlife isn’t a breakdown. It’s a breakthrough, and it’s time more people saw it that way.
How do you integrate wellness, mindset, and career strategy in your work?
I believe true success in midlife comes from alignment, when how you feel, how you think, and how you lead finally work together, not against each other.
In my programs, wellness isn’t treated as an add-on; it’s the foundation. I help my clients to focus on their bodies because energy is the currency of clarity. When women nourish their hormones, fuel correctly, and regain physical strength, their mental resilience follows.
I help them to address their current mindset state, uncovering the limiting beliefs and patterns that have kept them stuck in survival mode and constantly running on the hamster wheel, going nowhere. Through evidence-based coaching and NLP techniques, I help them to rewire those beliefs into self-leadership, confidence, and courage.
Finally, aligning this new clarity with career and life strategy. Whether it’s redefining their role, launching a business, or negotiating the next step in their career, these women learn to make decisions from power, not pressure.
By integrating these three layers, my clients stop operating from depletion and start leading from purpose, creating sustainable success that feels as good as it looks.
What is one success story or breakthrough moment with a client that illustrates your impact?
On a personal success story, through my menopause coaching, I have recently been recognised and awarded, Best Holistic Menopause Wellness Coaching Provider 2025 – UK, & Women’s Menopause Empowerment Excellence Award 2025 – UK by The Women’s Health Awards 2025, proudly hosted by Global Health & Pharma, marking an exciting new chapter in championing excellence across the women’s health sector. These awards celebrate the innovators, practitioners, and organisations driving meaningful change and enhancing the wellbeing of women worldwide.
One of my clients, a Senior Manager in the tech industry, came to me feeling exhausted and disconnected. She is successful on paper, but running on empty inside. I helped her to focus first on rebuilding her physical energy through better nutrition, rest, and strength training, then addressed the mindset patterns that kept her stuck in overdrive.
Within twelve weeks, she described feeling focused, confident, and genuinely present again. Her performance at work improved, her leadership became more authentic, and she said, “I finally recognise myself again, only stronger.”
That’s the breakthrough I love most: when a woman realises she doesn’t have to choose between wellbeing and success. She can have both and thrive.
If someone is feeling invisible, overwhelmed, or stuck right now, what’s the first step you’d encourage them to take?
Well, the first thing I would suggest is to book a call with me for an initial chat. Once I know what was causing this feeling, then we will move on.
The first step is to pause, not push. When you feel stuck or invisible, your instinct is often to do more, fix more, or keep running. But clarity doesn’t come from chaos; it comes from stillness. I encourage women to take a moment to breathe, reflect, and ask, “What do I need right now, not what is expected of me?”
From there, focus on one small act of self-kindness, whether that’s getting enough rest, moving your body, or setting one clear boundary. Momentum begins with micro-actions that rebuild trust in yourself. You don’t need to have the full roadmap yet. You just need to take the first empowered step back toward yourself. That’s where transformation begins.
What is the one thing your target client should do today to move toward reclaiming their power?
Make one decision today that reflects your true, authentic self. Reclaiming your power doesn’t begin with a grand plan; it starts with a single conscious choice. Most of my clients have spent years putting everyone else first, slowly disconnecting from what they need. The moment they choose differently, to rest, to move, to speak up, or simply to pause, they begin to step into who they are now.
It might be saying no without guilt, taking time to breathe, or finally asking, “What do I want next?” These small acts of self-kindness rebuild trust, confidence, and energy from the inside out. Because power isn’t found, it’s reclaimed, one decision, one boundary, one moment of courage at a time. That’s where transformation begins.
Why should someone choose to work with you now rather than waiting? What’s at stake and what’s their opportunity?
Waiting keeps you exactly where you are, exhausted, second-guessing, and stuck in the same cycle of “someday.”
Midlife isn’t a pause; it’s a pivot point. Every month you delay reclaiming your purpose, passion, and confidence, the gap between who you are now and who you want to be widens.
Working with me now allows my clients to turn this point into a transformation. You’ll gain the tools, structure, and support to rebuild your strength, redefine your direction, and create a life that feels powerful and fulfilling, not just busy.
The longer you wait, the louder the doubt becomes. The sooner you start, the faster you rise. Your next chapter isn’t waiting, it’s ready when you are.
