As an entrepreneur, I understand the importance of having a clear vision when it comes to your brand. Once upon a time, I used to believe this only applied to business and didn’t really understand how disorganization in other areas of my life was impeding my success.

In today’s blog, I want to tell you how a color analysis changed the way I organize my life. As well as refining my style and simplifying daily processes, it inspired more focused marketing to better sell my business.

Let me explain…

What Is a Color Analysis?

If you’re unfamiliar with the world of style consultancy, you might be wondering what a color analysis actually is. I first came across the concept when my sister posted about her own experience with a styling service on Facebook. Intrigued about the whole thing, I quickly booked myself an appointment.

The service is simple – a consultant analyses your complexion, hair color, and a range of other factors to establish which colors suit you best. There are four categories in your color wheel which help you to choose jewelry, accessories, and items of clothing. As well as providing a boost of confidence and the assurance that what you wear looks great, color analysis also empowers you to streamline your wardrobe.

After my color analysis, I started to shop with purpose, minimizing how much I was buying and shopping for pieces that reflected my true personality. The color wheel kept me on track, providing me with the guide I needed to simplify what can be a complicated process.

So, what’s this got to do with the marketing strategy for my business?

Effective Marketing Requires Clear Vision

While I was sorting through my wardrobe, replacing unworn pieces with my newly-established color matches, and streamlining my daily outfits, I had a realization. When business owners begin marketing their own business, they often start with trial-and-error when it comes to logos, website colors and design, along with social media aesthetics. They’ll give anything a whirl, frequently changing their key messaging, their digital aesthetic, and even their entire approach because the creative work may not be as cohesive as they would like but the color tones may be off.

The problem is, overwhelming your strategy with too many ideas can cloud your ability to reach the right audiences. My color analysis didn’t just give me the confidence to shop and dress with purpose – it also gave me the clarity I needed to organize other aspects of my life and business.

Now I’ve got this new sense of simplicity regarding the systems and processes I put in place. When I’m choosing brand colors for my latest marketing campaigns, I think about the color wheel. When I’m getting ready for website shoots, I think about the color wheel. Even when I’m on the lookout for props or locations, I think about the color wheel.

Streamlining for Success

Getting a color analysis made everything feel so cohesive. Business, home, and lifestyle all began to slot together, making my goals and objectives feel clearer in the process. If you’re an entrepreneur looking to level up your style AND your approach to life, I highly recommend a styling service. Preparing yourself for work meetings, family photo sessions and social media marketing shoots can often feel intimidating, especially if you lack ideas or the confidence required to put it all together. With a simple color wheel to guide you, you can start to look and feel your best while streamlining every aspect of your life for success.
