Writing is an art, a form of expression that requires deep understanding of the mind, but more than that, it requires the acknowledgment of the emotional layers hidden within us.

Several studies have shown mental health improvement in people when they write about their feelings, ideas and thoughts.

I have been writing and I have been reading most of my life. I am always happy to spend time in bookstores and I love the smell of new books. Last year I published my first book on Amazon, book collaborations followed this year, and the creation of my journals, available on Amazon too.

One of the most rewarding book collaborations that came my way this year was the series Letters of Love, created and published by Melissa Desveaux, an Australian publisher, who is now helping others to bring their personal stories to written form.

The title Letters of Love appealed to me because I am a Spiritual Awakening Teacher and love is at the core of what I do and experience daily. When I got in contact with Melissa, I knew that this book was going to be special and it was.

My letter was addressed to my twins, a boy and a girl who are 18 years old now. I wanted to leave them with some words to read later in life and realise how exceptional our life together was. Ten other authors contributed to the book, each one with a unique story to tell.

Letters of Love, a collection of uplifting letters from around the world became an international bestseller and it was even translated into French, which was another bestseller. This book “keeps giving” as one of the contributor authors would say (David Vine) as it has now been selected as a Christmas present for a project in Africa, meaning that one hundred children will receive the book along with a card from some of the authors as a gift. Just thinking about this, makes me feel grateful and at peace.

As you can see, my experience with book one of this series was so enriching that when Melissa Desveaux announced the making of book number two I decided to participate as a contributor author again.

Book number two Letters of Love, Inspiration, Gratitude, and Hope was launched on the 10th of October and it became a bestseller too and as book one, it is available in bookstores as well.

My letter this time is to my husband, my parents, my siblings, and my family in general. I also give my vision of gratitude, inspiration, and hope and in that sense, it is a letter for everyone to read and find uplifting words in it. One big surprise for my family, friends, and people who speak Spanish is that my letter was translated into this language and included in the book.

Our publisher and fellow author Melissa Desveaux wrote a letter to her beloved stillborn daughter and another letter to mothers who have experienced pregnancy loss.

Carol Ann Gvineria wrote about the power of really listening to others and how important this is for our relationships.

Jovaniah Nastili wrote a letter to her younger self and about overcoming traumatic experiences.

Pallavee Periapayen celebrates women empowerment and wrote a letter to some powerful women she sees as inspirational role models.

Kerri-Ann Sheppard has written a compassionate letter to domestic violence sufferers.

Lovina Sunassee wrote to family and friends expressing how grateful she is and another letter to the girl she was.

Zachary Shiloh, the only male author in this book, wrote a letter to his podcasting community showcasing the power of storytelling.

Every author has a personal and unique style making reading this book an interesting and touching experience.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of this book is that all proceeds go towards the Pink Elephant Support Network, an organisation helping people who experience pregnancy loss.

I have written this article to share with you how love presents itself in different ways and how writing about it is one of them. Love is the “glue” that keeps everything together, it is what moves us, it is what drives me. Love is always the answer.
