Sophie Anderson, Burnout Prevention Specialist and Certified Coach

How does your approach to burnout prevention empower individuals to achieve sustainable results in both personal and professional areas?

Burnout prevention starts with a realistic to-do list and gathering the resources we need to complete those tasks and achieve our goals. I help people see clearly what they can control, and what they can let go of to achieve this. Clients make small yet impactful changes like setting boundaries, delegating, or taking breaks, and I support them to stay on track.

How do your evidence-based coaching programs specifically tackle burnout prevention?

Burnout is created by chronic stress caused by an imbalance between the demands and resources in our life. My programs help them recognise the elements of this imbalance and what they can influence, and control. They start to prioritise effectively, manage energy, and build small habits that make a big difference. I also use my Anderson Model of Burnout and Personal Resilience™ (AMBPR™), so people can see where they are and what to do next.

What unique strategies do you use to help organizations foster a culture of wellbeing that extends beyond traditional workplace programs?

I combine education, self-awareness, and self-leadership. I teach how the brain works under stress, how resilience develops, and what science says about burnout. Coaching helps people understand patterns and take practical steps to stay well, engaged and productive. Unlike generic programs, my approach is tailored and teaches employees how to make meaningful, sustainable changes.

What role does self-awareness play in your coaching methodology, and how does it lead to long-term transformational change for clients?

Self-awareness is the ability to understand ourselves, and it makes behaviours and thinking patterns visible. The AMBPR™ is a self-awareness tool that shows which zone people are in - activation, over-functioning, or depletion – and what they can do next.

How do you tailor your coaching programs to address the specific challenges faced by high-performing individuals in the corporate environment?

High performers often overcommit, struggle to delegate, and tie their value to outcomes. Coaching focuses on prioritisation, boundaries, and leadership mindset so they perform at their best without exhaustion.

If you’re an employer wanting to support your team’s wellbeing, or an individual seeking burnout prevention and resilience support, I’d love to connect. I offer keynotes, workshops, and one-on-one coaching.
