A big reason why many people don’t manage to achieve their goals is quite simple. They continue to do “same old” hoping for different results.

You need to keep in mind that, long-term results & satisfaction sometimes require short-term sacrifices.

Once you have set up your goals, you need to be “all-in” with your commitments.

Not “partly” not “sometimes” but “all-in” & “all the time”.

What you put in is what you´ll get out of it. It really is as simple as that.

There are 4 essential areas that need to be reflected upon after you´ve set up your objectives:

1. Your thoughts & beliefs

You might have heard it before:

your thoughts & beliefs create your results.”

Now, surely you can´t go deeper with each of these tens of thousands of thoughts that circulate in your mind each day. That´s impossible.

Though, those thoughts that you do analyze and think about more in detail – naturally, you attach a certain positive or negative emotion to. Depending on the nature of the emotion attached, you act in a reactive way. Consequently, your action determines your results.

Think about what kind of thoughts dominate your mind. Think about what kind of results you are getting because of those thoughts.

  • How do your thoughts empower you?

  • How do your thoughts limit you?

  • What do you need to change in your thinking & belief systems to get your desired results?

2. Your habits & rituals

It´s not what you do every now and then that determines your future results.

It is what you do daily that´s going to contribute to your successes.

Think of it like this: every day, you plant seeds for your future.

No matter how small those habits might seem to you – day by day, little by little, they build up towards big results.

  • What are you currently doing that you can do more of?

  • What can you do less of?

  • What can you stop and start doing instead?

Your wellbeing, time & energy are the most precious resources you have. You want to use them wisely.

3. People who surround you

People around you have a very strong impact on you and your results. They have an impact on your thinking, beliefs, language and behaviors.

With that in mind, you want to surround yourself with people who inspire you, challenge you, question your ideas & choices, help you view different perspectives, make you grow, develop, be a better version of yourself. People who make you feel loved, understood, and supported.

You want to be very picky with whom you let into your “inner circle”.

That could mean that, certain people who used to be in your life might not be a great fit for you anymore. You might not be a great fit for them either at this point. And that is fine!

It is ok to take different paths.

Just as some people might leave your life, there will be some other who will enter your life.

Every person who was in your life before, who is in your life right now or who´s yet to enter your life, will enrich your life in this way or another. Only, of course, if you open your mind & heart to see that.

4. Your environment

Your environment affects your state of mind, focus, creativity and productivity.

Seek to create an environment that is:

  • Free from distractions;

  • Comfortable & inspires your creativity;

  • Beautiful. Beauty makes you create even more beauty.

Think about how does your environment make you feel?

How does it impact your growth?

How can you change it? How can you make it (even) better?

Reflection is the key to your growth & development. It is what helps you understand what needs to be adjusted in different areas of your life.

Without reflecting on what’s working, what’s not working & what you can do about it, how else can you expect to improve & make the best out of your life?

Whatever doesn’t

empower you;

support you;

&

align with your objectives;

  • needs to be changed. Not tomorrow, not next week/month/year… start today.
