Dr. Lonna Gordon

Dr. Lonna Gordon is a board-certified adolescent medicine physician with 15 years of clinical experience and leadership roles across multiple academic institutions. She currently serves as a department chief, where her work spans clinical care, graduate medical education, medical student teaching, and research. She also leads a Women in Medicine initiative and serves on multiple institutional boards and committees, advocating for both patient care and the professionals who provide it.

Alongside her academic medicine career, Lonna is the founder of The KNOBS LLC, a coaching, speaking, and workshop practice for parents, tweens, teens, and the professionals who support them. She uses the Enneagram, grounded in her clinical expertise and years of direct work with adolescents, to help young people and the adults who love them understand not just what drives behavior, but why—creating the kind of connection that builds trust rather than distance.

Lonna leads workshops for youth-serving professionals on adolescent development, communication, and connection, and speaks widely to parent and professional audiences on navigating the teen years with more clarity and less friction. She is also the host of Tweens, Teens & Everything Between, a podcast exploring identity, communication, and connection during adolescence.

Lonna's mission is to illuminate threshold moments—for tweens, teens, young adults, and even those in the "adolescence" of their own careers—so they know their voice matters, their experience makes sense, and they are enough to become who they are meant to be. Whether she's in clinic, on stage, behind a microphone, or leading a workshop, her work is guided by one belief: understanding, not fixing, is what creates real change.
