Bryan McColgan
Physician Journalist
Throughout his childhood, Bryan McColgan was a competitive gymnast. He qualified for the United States Junior Olympic National Team and later became a scholarship athlete at Stanford University. Bryan was awarded a United States Fulbright Fellowship to perform HIV research in Zimbabwe before pursuing his medical education at Columbia University. He completed his internal medicine residency at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center and his endocrinology fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center. Through his education and training, Bryan has always been an advocate of and mentor in the LGBTQ+ community. This is exemplified in the Gay Dad Reporter, his online platform that provides well-researched, unbiased information for gay men pursuing fatherhood through surrogacy. Bryan believes that rainbow families will make the world a better, more diverse place, and his passion is to counter the negative and ignorant noise about surrogacy while helping gay intended fathers all over the world to pursue ethical surrogacy.
