  • Dr. Lonna Gordon, Board-Certified Adolescent Medicine Physician & Enneagram-Informed Coach, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

Dr. Lonna Gordon is a board-certified adolescent medicine physician with 15 years of clinical experience and leadership roles across multiple academic institutions. She currently serves as a department chief, where her work spans clinical care, graduate medical education, medical student teaching, and research. She also leads a Women in Medicine initiative and serves on multiple institutional boards and committees, advocating for both patient care and the professionals who provide it. Alongside her academic medicine career, Lonna is the founder of The KNOBS LLC, a coaching, speaking, and workshop practice for parents, tweens, teens, and the professionals who support them. She uses the Enneagram, grounded in her clinical expertise and years of direct work with adolescents, to help young people and the adults who love them understand not just what drives behavior, but why—creating the kind of connection that builds trust rather than distance. Lonna leads workshops for youth-serving professionals on adolescent development, communication, and connection, and speaks widely to parent and professional audiences on navigating the teen years with more clarity and less friction. She is also the host of Tweens, Teens & Everything Between, a podcast exploring identity, communication, and connection during adolescence. Lonna's mission is to illuminate threshold moments—for tweens, teens, young adults, and even those in the "adolescence" of their own careers—so they know their voice matters, their experience makes sense, and they are enough to become who they are meant to be. Whether she's in clinic, on stage, behind a microphone, or leading a workshop, her work is guided by one belief: understanding, not fixing, is what creates real change. • Diana C. Stephens, Career Transition Coach, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

Diana Stephens, Founder Mindful Job Alignment, has always enjoyed helping people brainstorm options about their career. Her relentless curiosity drives her to dig deeper for more innovative answers.   Having been a casualty of five corporate layoffs in ten years, she knows all too well the life disruption caused by a job transition. She walked that path for over 16 years, the career chaos, health challenges and eldercare for a parent with Alzheimer’s. All of this caused severe financial issues and deep stress in her life. Her quest to feel more secure became a journey to make sense of the chaos, understand why it happened and establish simple mindfulness and motivational practices for stress relief and to bring balance, stability, and serenity back to her life.  She also created a tactical job search action plan which incorporated mindfulness as well as must have job search techniques such as resume and LinkedIn practices.   This journey led her to complete her PhD in Holistic coaching. It was during her doctoral studies that her “mess became her mission” so, she created Mindful Job Alignment, based on her doctoral dissertation “A Mindful Approach to Job Search.”   During her journey, she has studied various mindfulness techniques that she believes anyone can bring into their life in a simple cost-efficient way. She wants to share this knowledge with you, so that you too can make sense of the difficult times and move forward with a vision for your future.   In Spring 2023, Diana was one of the authors in Mission Matters, Volume 10 with her article "Understanding the Grief Caused by Career Transitions." This book is available on Amazon.   In addition to her PhD, she also has an MBA in Marketing and a Master and Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance. She is a seeker and is always taking some kind of class!   She is a Certified Empowerment and Motivational Professional (CEMP) and Certified Digital Career Strategist (CDCS) through the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARWCC). She is also a Certified Infinite Possibilities Trainer (certified by Mike Dooley, TUT.com), Reiki Master Teacher (Usui lineage), and a Doterra International Certified Essential Oil specialist. She utilizes a variety of these holistic techniques in her coaching practice.   Prior to starting her own company, she had over 35 years in corporate account management for a variety of Fortune 500 companies, in various consumer products verticals calling on National Retailers. She has also worked as a Customer Success Manager in the Software as a Service (SaaS) industry.   Fun fact: Diana was a member of Chicago Symphony Chorus for 11 years and was part of the Grammy Award winning chorus in 2011 for the Verdi Requiem, conducted by Riccardo Muti. • Alanna Murray, Founder and Swimsuit Designer , Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

Alanna Murray is a driven entrepreneur and gifted swimsuit designer hailing from a small, rural town in the Midwest. She grew up going on Catholic retreats in the summer time with her family and went to a faith-based college where she served on a mission trip in Florida. Since these religious experiences were in warmer climates and usually offered a watering hole, there was typically a dress code for swimsuits as a sign of respect. As she started to grow up, she noticed how hard it was to find a modest swimsuit that was also cute. Fast forward to when she was in her mid-20’s of January 2020, she decided to follow her heart and move to the magical city of Manhattan, New York. Shortly after arriving, Alanna was greeted by the COVID-19 pandemic, which not only shut down the city, but the entire globe. However, it was during this downtime that Alanna was inspired to start cutting pattern pieces and sewing, specifically with swimsuit fabric. She quickly fell in love with the process of designing as she relished going into the different fabric stores in Garment District down the street from her apartment. She shared the process with her followers on Instagram and Tik Tok as she gained encouragement and virality. She then decided to partner with a ma-and-pa shop in the Fashion District that did the labor of manufacturing her early swimsuit designs. Since then, she has partnered with other manufacturers and added even more designs to her collection. She has appeared on news outlets, podcasts, and fashion blogs. Her swimsuit collection is feminine and modest while still at an affordable price. She loves giving women options of full-coverage swimsuits that are also fashionable. She knows how hard it can be to find a swimsuit that women love and are excited to wear, which is her hope that she is able to provide in each of her swimsuits. She is an enthusiastic entrepreneur and loves growing her business as it reaches new levels.
