Earl Clyde Matthew Pia

Purpose-Driven CEO | Visionary and Founder of Planet Earl

Hi, Champ! Kuya Earl here. I'm the visionary, founder, and CEO of Planet Earl.

I'm just a normal guy from a small town in the Philippines that you probably never heard of.

Planet Earl started taking shape when I was a sickly kid who spent regular holidays in the hospital every so often. On my deathbed when I was 8y/o, I remember being half-awake and hearing my doctor tell my mom that I might not survive my lung infection. I know doctors shouldn't be emotional, but I can vividly remember my doctor almost teary-eyed with his shaky voice - maybe because he'd been keeping me alive for years by this time.

When my doctor left, my mom made a deal with God. She was pleading with God to take her life and spare mine. She said she couldn't lose another kid. For context, my eldest brother had just died in a horrible accident a few months before my critical condition. She was sobbing while saying, "Lord, ako nalang kunin mo. Wag na si Earl. Mamamatay din naman ang puso ko kung kukuhanan mo pa 'ko ng isang anak." Or at least that is what my dying brain remembered.

AGAIN, I was just 8 years old when this happened.

At 8, I negotiated with God and made a heavenly pact; I negotiated a win-win-win situation with God. See, I'm a good negotiator since I was a baby. LOL
Win - spare my mom's life
Win - spare my life and give me divine protection
Win - I'll be the best doctor in the world, and I will heal people for free (universal healthcare who?!)

I guess God liked the guts of a dying 8y/o Earl. He kept me alive. Both my doctor and my mom were cheering 2 years later when I finished my steroid treatment. Since surviving that NDE, I studied so hard that my parents never had to pay for my education.

Thank you for all the learnings, Tagkawayan Central Elem. School (TCES) and Our Lady of Lourdes Academy (OLLA).

Going to university, I have 7 full scholarship offers across 7 universities and other grants.

I graduated with a degree in Cell & Molecular Biology from the University of the Philippines Los Baños at the age of 19 while keeping my R.A. 7687 Department of Science and Technology (DOST) scholarship intact despite being very active in student organizations and volunteer efforts (just check my socials lol).

At 20, I became a health research project manager at the DOST-PCHRD Philippine Council for Health Research and Development.

At 21, I got promoted to senior health research project manager at the DOST-PCHRD while also being a registered financial planner.

At 23, I was the program manager of both Philippine Genome Center and Filipinome of the University of the Philippines Diliman DNA Analysis Laboratory (NSRI-DAL). I also co-managed Newton-Agham: Filipino-UK Joint Health Research Grant. Overall, I was able to get funding for ~₱2B worth of health research during my tenure.

At 24, I bought my own house, quit my government job, and went into online dropshipping business of supplements, where I became a top product trainer and got a few national achiever awards.

At 26, I married my soulmate and moved to the UK with her. I lost all my clients and my dropshipping business.

At 27, I became a Vetted Consultant of ClickUp and started working part-time as a supermarket assistant (barista) at Waitrose Newbury to supplement my consulting income.

At 28, I had to juggle managing an agency in the Philippines, supporting personal clients, working as a part-time food service partner at Waitrose, and studying cross-functional C-suite leadership.

At 29, I became a double C-suite business consultant - CMO/CRO and a specialist butcher after being cross-trained on all stations/areas.

At 30, I graduated from Rebel Business School, got nominated in World Leaders Summit 2026 under the Visionary Entrepreneur of the year, and got accepted to the Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration Program of Kennedy University Systems under full scholarship, I quit my consulting agency and became the visionary, founder, and CEO of Planet Earl

Why am I doing the most? Because I negotiated my life with my creator when I was 8y/o and I'm someone who keeps his word. When I finish life, I only have one goal. For Him to say, "Well done, most awesome and faithful servant. You were a very good steward of your talents and gifts. You're really my #1 negotiator; sparing you was a WIN-WIN-WIN scenario. Welcome to the Pantheon - World's Best Negotiator."
