  • A Modern Way to Enjoy Your Vacation with a Yacht Charter

Written by Eldin Basic, Yacht Charter Manager Eldin is a well-known yacht charter broker, arranging private yachts for sailing holidays in all the main sailing destinations, with a specific expertise in long-term yacht charters and luxury yacht charters in particular. A growing number of discerning guests are discovering a more elevated, distinctly private, and in many ways deeply personal way to explore the world: yacht charter. That said, the vast majority of holidaymakers still spend their yearly vacation in hotels, villas, caravans, and more recently in glamping venues or increasingly on cruises. For all those travellers, the word holiday still evokes images of structured travel, recognisable hotels, crowded resorts, overcrowded cruise liners, all packaged and protected as managed tours. And there is certainly nothing wrong with the traditional way of travelling, relaxing, and managing or even protecting your budget in that way. Yacht charter, however, is a game-changer for many. Far from being simply a boat rental, yacht chartering is a highly bespoke lifestyle experience. It blends distinctive travel, a carefully chosen type of hospitality, unique adventure, and high exclusivity, all into a single seamless journey. Following a few distinctive presentations, in this month’s article I invite you to explore with me what yacht charter truly entails, how it differs from traditional holidays, the various types of charters available, and when, where, and for whom this extraordinary mode of travel makes sense. A2A Yachting focuses on bareboat and luxury charters, with SuperSailYachts.com focusing on superyacht and mega yacht charters. What is a yacht charter? In its simplest form, a yacht charter is the rental or hire of a suitable yacht, sailing or motor, without crew, or a luxury yacht or superyacht, which come complete with a professional crew dedicated to delivering a personalised experience. Unlike cruise ships or resorts, a charter yacht is a private, mobile sanctuary, without any other guests on board. The boat is yours for the duration of the booking, and she moves with you, adapts to your preferences, and offers complete control over your itinerary. The captains are always first and foremost focused on safety, but other than this major consideration, any of your wishes and desires are adhered to, provided legal issues, weather conditions, and safety are not compromised. A booked charter typically includes: Private yacht based on your budget, location, and required amenities Unless qualified and experienced, the yacht can come with a skipper, general crew, usually captain and hostess, or as a fully crewed vessel with captain, chef, stewardesses, deckhands, etc. Total freedom of itinerary or a carefully tailored itinerary based on your interests Private cooking as per availability of local produce or your shopping list, or on crewed yachts with a chef, bespoke dining prepared according to your preferences Included or optional water toys and onboard entertainment Access to secluded bays, islands, and destinations, usually unreachable by land and reserved for yachting enthusiasts, think unique beaches, snorkelling spots, or secluded anchorages Your booked charter yacht is, in essence, a floating boutique hotel, except the entire hotel is yours, with or without staff. How yacht charter differs from other types of holidays Yacht charter is a very unique type of holiday. Every yacht charter is usually unique, and it rarely turns out the same, even if you book the same boat in the same location year after year. The main differences of a yacht charter vacation are: Total privacy While you may encounter crowds during embarkation, there are usually few or no crowds, no shared spaces, and most of all no fixed schedules. You choose who joins you, where you go, and how you spend each day. You can be on your own on a boat, with your loved ones, with best friends, or only with a crew on a luxury charter. Personalisation at every level If you are experienced and qualified, you do what your heart desires. On a crewed charter, there are more considerations to make, yet you remain the focus of the crew and your word is usually final. From menus to activities to anchorages, everything is customised to your heart’s desire. In other words, a booked yacht charter is not a package. Even airport transfers must be arranged separately, and the booked yacht is just that, a blank canvas. The rest has to be planned and organised, either by yourself on a bareboat charter, by the crew on a luxury charter, or by everyone involved on a superyacht charter. Your broker is involved in the whole process, from choosing a yacht, handling the booking process and payments, arranging airport transfers and itineraries, to the choice of menus, disembarkation ports if there is a one-way yacht charter to consider, or even provisioning, especially in the case of cross-country sailing and longer-term sabbatical charters that may last from two up to eighteen months. Mobility and freedom This is the most important aspect of any yacht charter. You are bound to wake up in a new location every morning without packing a suitcase. The view is always different, and the sea breeze changes both mood and mental wellbeing. This is what usually makes yacht charter the best holiday on the planet. Any constraints of bespoke travel, additional arrangements, uncertainty about boat pick-up, meeting a new crew, or planning a careful exit to the next anchorage on a bareboat charter without crew disappear once you experience the freedom. The yacht becomes your passport to hidden coves, remote beaches, and iconic coastlines. If you have not experienced this feeling, you must book a yacht charter very soon. Elevated service On board luxury and crewed yachts, you are offered customised service levels. On superyachts above 80ft, service is comparable to five-star hotels, and in most cases on those above 125ft, often exceeding them. The crew learns your preferences, anticipates your needs, tends to your requirements, and ensures you are well taken care of. On board mega yachts from around 200ft and above, and on board giga yachts, you will find a factual resort where absolutely everything can be found on board, and which can cost from around 1 million Euros per week. Exclusivity and security For high-profile guests, families, or entrepreneurs, a yacht provides a controlled, discreet environment. You can also hire bodyguards, nannies, and other types of supernumeraries who take a cabin and provide service to you and your family during your vacation. On board superyachts there is usually office space so that you can continue to work uninterrupted while travelling and while your family enjoys themselves. Types of yacht charters There are many types of yacht charter, with bareboat, crewed, luxury, and superyacht charters being the most common. Bareboat yacht charter This is the so-called independent way of sailing. There is nobody on board other than those you decide to travel with. You must be experienced and qualified to navigate the boat on your own. The boats in this category are usually between 25 and 50ft, although we can arrange bareboat charters on sailing yachts up to 70ft, motor yachts up to 65ft, and sailing or power catamarans up to 60ft. This is common in Mediterranean sailing destinations like Croatia or Greece, but nowadays qualified skippers cross oceans and charter in most major sailing destinations worldwide, including the South Pacific, Southeast Asia, Northern Europe, and other parts of the world. Skippered or crewed yacht charter Very similar to bareboat yacht charter, with the main difference being that you hire a skipper and in some cases a hostess or deckhand. The skipper navigates the boat and ensures the safety of the boat and guests, while the hostess or deckhand assists the skipper when required and serves buffet breakfasts or carries out general cleaning daily. On request, tasks can also include preparation of light lunches or cleaning of cabins. A third crew member, a dedicated chef, could also prepare dinners, although in most cases you are invited to dine in local restaurants and support the local economy and populace who live off tourists and seasonal turnarounds. Regardless of whether it is skippered or crewed, this type of charter is standard for many clients who do not have the necessary experience or who simply wish to relax a little more, allowing the crew to take care of the boat and mundane tasks while they concentrate on privacy and mobility. This ensures a worry-free, stress-free experience. You can charter such yachts across the world, and in some locations you must take a skipper, such as in the Galapagos or in most cases the Arctic Circle, as insurance requirements or local conditions may not allow even an experienced sailor to navigate independently. Luxury yacht charter This is the most popular category for discerning clientele who are looking for an exclusive experience and who wish to sail on very modern motor yachts or elegant sailing yachts, usually between 60 and 78ft. In most cases, such yachts offer: Stylish and modern interiors Professional crew of at least four, including a chef and a dedicated engineer or deckhand A good choice of water toys such as jet skis, seabobs, and paddleboards High-end dining with a professional chef Luxury yacht charter is ideal for families, couples looking for honeymoons or special service, or small groups seeking comfort and privacy. The birthplace of luxury yacht charter is probably the South of France, although this type of charter is now common across the world and present in the majority of sailing grounds worldwide. Superyacht charter Superyachts, usually from 80ft to 125ft, represent the high end of luxury travel. On board these yachts, you can expect: Multiple decks In most cases, a Jacuzzi, bar, and fast tender suitable for water skiing High-end cuisine At least five and up to ten crew, including a dedicated stewardess and chef A unique feature of a kind, for example, a private owner’s quarters and a larger master suite The absolute prime location for superyacht charters is the South of France and the Mediterranean in general, with the East Caribbean being the prime destination in the winter months between December and March each year. Mega yacht charter These yachts are usually longer than 200ft and are seen as special superyachts with floating resorts, ideal for milestone celebrations, corporate retreats, or multi-family holidays. They can cost from around 300,000 Euros per week and include at least ten and up to thirty crew. They are usually exquisite motor yachts from major shipyards such as Heesen, Sanlorenzo, or Mangusta, but can also be sailing yachts such as Perini Navi or special custom-built superyachts. Giga yacht charters We define these as ultra-luxury mega yachts that are usually at least 70 metres in length and that cost from at least 1 million Euros per week. There are no limits on yachts such as these, and a dedicated 24-hour concierge is allocated for every booking. As there are very few such boats around, it is worth noting that the most exclusive ones are currently the 122-metre KISMET by Lürssen, which costs 3 million Euros per week plus local VAT and expenses, or the latest addition, the 118.8-metre BREAKTHROUGH by Feadship, which costs from 3.5 million Euros per week plus VAT and APA expenses. Booking of these yachts is rare and often completed only by celebrities and high-profile businesspeople, CEOs, or family offices. Most of these yachts cruise the Mediterranean in summer and the East Caribbean in winter, although on occasion they may head to other locations if the owners decide to undertake a circumnavigation and allow bookings in more exclusive tropical destinations around the world. When should you consider a yacht charter? A yacht charter is ideal when you want: A private, secure environment for family or friends in all major sailing destinations worldwide, as far south as the Whitsundays in Australia or the North Pacific around Alaska A special celebration such as a wedding, anniversary, or birthday. We can create a bespoke solution both in terms of the choice of boat and location A corporate incentive or executive retreat, ideal in locations such as the South of France during major events, for example the Cannes Film Festival or the Abu Dhabi and Monaco F1 Grand Prix A multi-destination holiday without the hassle of transfers. This is where we excel and have arranged many long-term charters that last up to 18 months and may include both transatlantic and even transpacific crossings A luxury experience tailored entirely to your preferences. This can be as unique as you dare to dream A unique adventure such as diving, island hopping, or cultural exploration. We have, for example, arranged scientific projects, private diving or kite-surfing charters, or unique cycling tours that follow a specific itinerary It is also perfect for travellers who have “done it all” and want something more meaningful, immersive, and exclusive, a once-in-a-lifetime experience, for example. Where to charter: The world’s best destinations Mediterranean (May-October): Adriatic (Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Slovenia, Italy, Albania) Greece including Sporades, Cyclades, North Aegean, and Ionian Italy (Amalfi, Sardinia, Sicily) France (Côte d’Azur) Spain (Balearics and Costa del Sol) Caribbean (December-April): Virgin Islands St. Barths and St Martin or St Maarten Antigua, St. Kitts Grenadines Windward Islands Bahamas Exotic destinations: Red Sea Maldives Seychelles Thailand Fiji Galápagos Each region offers a different flavour, cultural immersion, nightlife, tranquillity, or adventure. Most recently, you can also sail the Arctic Circle and Northern European destinations, the Baltic Sea, and both the South and North Pacific, with one-way yacht charters available in most of these destinations. Split to Dubrovnik, St Tropez to Portofino, Corsica to Sardinia, and Athens to Santorini are among the most popular routes. Unique itineraries such as Panama to the Panama Canal to Galapagos, Cabo San Lucas to the Marquesas Islands, or cross-country sailing from Spain to Greece or from Croatia to Italy are always possible with A2A Yachting. Budget: What does a yacht charter cost? Charter pricing varies widely depending on yacht size, season, and destination. You must also add around 20 to 40% of the charter price to cover expenses that include fuel, marina fees, food and drink provisions, and crew tips in a crewed or superyacht charter. As a general guide, you should plan for: Charter type Weekly rate (approx.) Bareboat Yacht 25-55ft 2,000-15,000 Eur per week Bareboat Yacht 56-65ft 15,000-30,000 Eur per week Luxury Yacht (60-78ft) 15,000-70,000 Eur per week Super Yacht (80-125ft) 70,000-150,000 Eur per week Mega Yacht (up to 200ft ) 250,000-750,000 Eur per week Giga Yachts (70metres+) 1 million Euro + Additional costs include: APA, Advance Provisioning Allowance, 25-40% of the charter fee VAT or tax depending on region, in most cases 10-22% Crew gratuity, customary 10-25% While these numbers may seem high, a yacht charter often replaces multiple hotel rooms, private dining, excursions, and transfers, making it surprisingly competitive for groups. This is especially the case in bareboat yacht charters or skippered bookings, where the average fee per couple can be lower than a similar hotel booking. Expert recommendations and insider tips Book early: Usually, we recommend booking 12 months in advance, as this ensures access to the best yachts and peak-season week choices. The most popular boats are often booked at least 9 to 12 months ahead. This does not mean you cannot book a yacht a few months or even weeks in advance. At times, a very last-minute yacht charter may offer the best value. However, to ensure you get the best yacht in the best location with the best value attached, advance booking is most often the best way forward. Choose the right broker: A reputable broker protects your interests, negotiates on your behalf, and ensures the yacht and crew match your expectations. A2A Yachting has 23 years of experience in bareboat and luxury charters, with SuperSailYachts.com specialising in superyacht and mega yacht charters since 2012. Consider shoulder seasons: May and June, September and October in the Mediterranean, or January and April or May in the East Caribbean offer excellent weather and better value compared with high-season periods around major events and school holidays. Prioritise the crew: A great crew elevates the entire experience. Their chemistry, professionalism, and hospitality matter more than the yacht’s décor. We can often match the crew to your expectations and requirements. Tailor your itinerary: Avoid trying to see everything. The magic of chartering lies in slow, immersive exploration. While we can arrange extensive sailing itineraries, it is usually much better to plan to sail one location twice rather than try to visit all major ports in a single holiday. Communicate preferences early: On a crewed charter, food, activities, celebrations, and dietary needs are best communicated a few weeks before your arrival. Your crew will personalise everything if they know in advance. The future of travel is personal, private, and experiential Yacht chartering is no longer reserved for the ultra-wealthy. It has become a sophisticated, flexible, and increasingly accessible way to travel, one that prioritises privacy, authenticity, and personalisation. Whether you are seeking a family escape, a romantic retreat, or a once-in-a-lifetime celebration, a yacht charter offers a level of freedom and luxury unmatched by any other holiday format. For travellers who value experience over routine and connection over crowds, the sea is calling. We at A2A Yachting and SuperSailYachts.com look forward to hearing from you soon. • WriteMyEssay Review 2026 – Honest Evaluation of Service Quality

In the crowded landscape of online writing help, students are often bombarded with options that sound promising but fall short in delivery. Some services rely on flashy claims or generic guarantees that don't hold up under scrutiny. When researching academic support platforms, many students land on services promising one-stop solutions.  The challenge is separating marketing language from genuine value. With increasing competition, genuine user experience reports and service performance matter more than ever before. In the context of that search, the do my essay for me service, WriteMyEssay , often appears as a recommended destination when students search for help with urgent deadlines or complex assignments.  Placing this service in the flow of academic decision-making allows us to evaluate not just whether it delivers essays, but whether it supports learning outcomes, meets ethical boundaries, and respects academic standards. First impressions: Website, navigation, and transparency Landing on the homepage, the initial impression is clean and modern. The site loads quickly, the design is responsive on mobile and desktop, and key elements, such as pricing, service descriptions, and user testimonials, are easily accessible without clicking through multiple menus. From a usability perspective, this matters. Students juggling deadlines don't benefit from buried information or confusing navigation.  What stands out on the site is a clear breakdown of services (essays, research papers, admissions essays, etc.) and an upfront commitment to confidentiality and timely delivery.  There's no need to search for an FAQ page or contact support just to understand basic terms, everything is visible from the start. However, first impressions are only the beginning. Real value becomes clear when we test how these promises hold up in practice. Quality of writing: Depth, clarity, and academic rigor The most critical question in any writing service review is quality, not just whether a document is delivered, but whether it meets academic expectations. In multiple sample analyses across disciplines (humanities, social sciences, and STEM-adjacent fields), WriteMyEssay consistently produced work that was coherent, appropriately structured, and aligned with assignment instructions provided during order placement.  Specific observations include: Argument development: Essays demonstrated a clear thesis statement and logical progression, with supporting paragraphs that referenced relevant ideas. T one and s tyle: The writing adapted to the requested academic level (e.g., undergraduate vs. graduate tone), avoiding overly casual phrasing or unnecessary repetition. Referencing: Citations were formatted correctly according to the specified style guide, and references corresponded to credible sources rather than generic placeholders. That said, quality is not perfect in every instance. In some technical essays, the depth of analysis could be stronger, particularly when explaining complex methodologies or theoretical frameworks.  Communication and support: Responsiveness matters A hallmark of reliable academic support is communication. Students often revise or expand instructions after submitting an order, requiring real-time dialogue with the writing team. WriteMyEssay includes multiple channels for communication: Live chat with support agents Direct messaging with the assigned writer Email updates on order progress What's particularly notable is the responsiveness.  In tests placed during peak academic hours, support agents typically responded within minutes, not hours. This matters when deadlines are tight or when clarification is needed on specific assignment requirements. But responsiveness alone isn't enough, relevance matters.  Support interactions were consistently detailed rather than templated. Issues were resolved on first contact and did not require repeated follow-ups unless new concerns were introduced. Turnaround and deadline compliance Any realistic evaluation must consider delivery reliability. Academic deadlines are inflexible. A paper delivered late, even if high quality, can undermine a student's grade or course standing. In orders with tight deadlines (24-48 hours), WriteMyEssay delivered completed drafts on or before the promised time. More importantly, products arrived in a ready-to-review state, with no missing elements or incomplete sections that require additional student effort. Longer deadlines (one week or more) allowed for even stronger development, with clearer transitions, better integration of sources, and fewer revisions requested in quality feedback tests. Pricing structure: Fair, transparent, and competitive Pricing is always a sensitive topic in academic support. Many students have limited budgets, so clarity and fairness matter. WriteMyEssay's pricing framework is tiered according to academic level, urgency, and word count. There are no hidden fees, and estimates are visible before payment processing. This transparency helps students budget effectively, avoiding surprises. Compared with industry averages, rates fall in the mid-to-upper range, which is justified by consistent quality and reliable delivery times.  Revision policies and guarantees A strong revision policy reflects confidence in service quality. WriteMyEssay includes free revisions within a specified window after delivery (14-30 days), which allows students to request adjustments without additional cost.  The key here is not just the availability of revisions but turnaround speed. Revision requests are usually processed within 24-48 hours, which is crucial when working within tight academic timelines. Furthermore, guarantees regarding originality and confidentiality are clearly stated in user agreements. Essays are delivered with plagiarism check reports upon request, which boosts confidence in academic honesty. Pros and cons: A balanced summary In evaluating WriteMyEssay, it helps to distill strengths and limitations in a clear format: Pros Consistent delivery of academically structured essays Responsive support and communication channels Transparent pricing with revision options Original content verifiable through reports Suitable for deadlines ranging from urgent to extended Cons Some technical subjects benefit from additional expert review Mid-range pricing may be high for tight student budgets Depth varies slightly with assignment complexity This balance reflects a service that performs reliably in most scenarios, with room for improvement in niche academic domains. Final verdict: Reliable academic support with practical utility In a field crowded with options, WriteMyEssay stands out for consistency, transparency, and quality of delivery. It does not rely on exaggerated claims or opaque guarantees.  Instead, it demonstrates performance backed by user experience, clear policies, and measurable outcomes. Students who approach the service as a structured support tool, a partner in refining academic thought and expression, report higher satisfaction than those seeking a "quick fix." This distinction matters. Martin Buckley, reflecting on trends within the essay writing service landscape, emphasizes that emerging services must balance quality, transparency, and ethical positioning to gain lasting trust.  WriteMyEssay's performance in these areas suggests it is a service worth serious consideration for students seeking structured academic help.

  • Muhammad Harfoush, DACVECC, on Emergency Medicine, Focus, and Building Trust Under Pressure

Muhammad Harfoush  is a board-certified Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Specialist based in Washington, D.C., where he works in high-acuity emergency and intensive care settings. His clinical interests include environmental emergencies, severe trauma, anaphylaxis, and complex metabolic diseases. Working in an emergency and critical care setting often requires rapid decision-making under pressure. Harfoush built his career through advanced specialty training in veterinary emergency and critical care. His work places him at the intersection of medicine, communication, and trust during some of the most difficult moments pet owners face. Outside the hospital, he spends his time playing volleyball, training with boxing workouts, traveling, and recovering in the sun after early morning soccer games. What first drew you to veterinary medicine, and when did you know this was the path for you? Muhammad Harfoush: From early childhood, I felt drawn to animals and their behavior. I spent a lot of time watching how animals interact with people and with each other. As a child, I loved visiting my grandmother just to observe farm animals, along with the dogs and cats around her home. That early exposure stayed with me and gradually shaped the direction I chose. You came to the United States as a foreign veterinary graduate. What challenges stood out early on, and how did they shape you? Muhammad Harfoush: The biggest challenge involved understanding cultural differences and communication styles. The United States includes many backgrounds and perspectives, and communication varies by region as well. For example, I noticed clear differences between places like New England and upstate New York in how people connected and expressed themselves. Over time, I realized there was no single model to follow. That experience pushed me to stay grounded in my own values, remain genuine, and learn from everyone I met.   What does a typical day look like for you in emergency and critical care?   Muhammad Harfoush: No two days look the same, especially in emergency and critical care medicine. My shifts usually start early in the morning and last at least twelve hours. I begin with case handover from the overnight doctor, then examine patients based on severity, review medical records, adjust treatment plans, and contact pet owners with updates. Procedures come later unless urgency requires immediate action. Throughout the day, I move continuously between patient reassessments, team coordination, and owner communication. Before leaving, I provide another update to owners and hand cases over to the overnight team.   How do you approach problem-solving in complex or high-pressure cases? Muhammad Harfoush: Problem-solving develops over time and continues evolving throughout a career. With complex cases, I break the situation down, review veterinary literature, consult trusted colleagues, and think through the problem carefully. In high-caseload situations, efficiency becomes essential. Muhammad Harfoush explains   that it means streamlining communication, focusing on limiting unnecessary interactions, adjusting workflow, and sometimes staying beyond scheduled hours. Patient care always comes first. Is there a trend in veterinary medicine that excites you right now? Muhammad Harfoush: Artificial intelligence stands out across all disciplines. AI integration positively impacted medical records, veterinary education, imaging interpretation, and training as well as many other aspects. Its integration has the potential to improve efficiency and accuracy, further, in ways that benefit both patients and medical teams.   What mindset has helped you succeed both professionally and personally? Muhammad Harfoush: A belief that goals remain achievable with consistent effort. I focus on what stays within my control and avoid spending energy on what does not. Looking back, what advice would you give your younger self when you first arrived in the U.S.?   Muhammad Harfoush: Stay focused, limit distractions, and surround yourself with people whose success reflects where you want to go.   What principle guides how you build long-term relationships with pet owners and the community? Muhammad Harfoush: Sincerity, honesty, and empathy guide how I build relationships with pet owners and the community. In emergency medicine, trust forms quickly and often under stress. Families are facing uncertainty, so clear communication about what we know, what remains unknown, and what options exist is essential. I focus on being transparent and present, even in fast-paced situations. Consistency matters. When you show up with the same integrity, compassion, and willingness to educate, trust grows naturally and extends, especially if their pet is being hospitalized for further care. Who Is Muhammad Harfoush? Muhammad Harfoush is a board-certified Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Specialist based in Washington, D.C. His clinical interests include the management of environmental emergencies, anaphylaxis, severe trauma, and critical metabolic diseases. Outside of professional practice, his interests include soccer, boxing workouts, travel, and spending time outdoors.

  • How Leaders in Service-Based Businesses Can Protect Their Energy

Written by Kerry Bolton , CEO of Caring Lotus Kerry Bolton is a purpose-driven entrepreneur and the founder of Caring Lotus, a Melbourne-based disability support service dedicated to helping individuals feel seen, supported, and genuinely cared for. Running a service based business is deeply personal. People who start and run these types of businesses begin by asking ‘what is the solution to the problem I am seeing in the world?’ Of course, running a product based business comes with its own challenges and ups and downs but there is something uniquely emotional about serving others. Every decision, challenge, and moment is tied to the lives of others, whether they are clients, your team, or the community you are trying to help. It can be the most rewarding thing you have ever done… and it can be the most exhausting thing you’ve ever done. It’s the type of work that gets under your skin and worms its way into your every thought, especially at 2 a.m., keeping you awake at night, tossing and turning over a problem like a dog with an old shoe. While wins and successes can be a massive high, it’s the minutia, dealing with people and all that comes with that, that can hollow you out if you’re not careful. As opposed to a product based business, where customers can physically see what they’re paying for, a car, a phone, a meal, evaluate its quality, compare it to alternatives, and make a decision, as a service based business, you’re asking people to trust you. You are asking them to trust your expertise, your team, and your ability to deliver on something intangible. Whether it’s care, guidance, or support, your clients are relying on you to show up and meet their needs in a way that’s personal and intimate. That trust takes constant effort. And people these days have high expectations and can see you not delivering as a betrayal. That’s hard to swallow. A single bad experience can ripple out and impact your ability to attract and retain clients. Word of mouth is often your biggest marketing tool, which means every interaction, whether with a client or a potential client, matters. When we are told to practice ‘self care’, ‘work life balance’, and ‘time management’, all those expectations and responsibilities can feel like a ton of bricks on our shoulders. These phrases can sound trite and meaningless when you’re in the thick of questioning your sanity and how it would’ve been easier to start an Amazon product business. It’s not just the business imperatives of balancing the spreadsheet, paying people on time, or having a marketing plan in place that you carry. It’s the weight of knowing a decision could profoundly impact someone’s life, the guilt that you’re not doing enough even when you’re running on empty, and the soul crushing exhaustion that creeps in when you hold space for others’ struggles while silently ignoring your own. Burnout isn’t always as dramatic as having a physical breakdown or walking away. It can show up as the slow erosion of your passion, when your days become more about going through the motions and not remembering how bright the spark that drove you once was. A service based business can demand everything, and if you let it, it will take everything. While there are plenty of resources you can tap into to protect yourself in a world that constantly asks for more, reigniting your passion starts and ends with you. Start by giving yourself permission to disconnect This is more than dragging yourself to your one week holiday once a year, like a dehydrated soul lost in the desert who can see the oasis in the distance. It’s about building moments into your daily life where you can step back, without guilt. Disconnecting doesn’t mean you are abandoning anyone by switching off your phone for a few hours or delegating a task. Think of it like charging your phone, which is at 20%. If you keep pushing it without charging it until it’s at zero, you are damaging the battery. Give yourself space to recharge so you can come back stronger. Guilt isn’t a badge of honour or a trophy to lead Sometimes the price of entry into a service based business is guilt, because you know you can’t help everyone, you don’t have enough time for your team, and you got a bit snappy at someone because you’ve worked 90 days straight. Guilt is heavy and useless. You can’t save everyone. You can’t fix everything. Accepting that doesn’t mean you care less, it means you’re human… and that’s ok, because we all are. Stop carrying around guilt. By accepting your humanity, you acknowledge that you are doing your best. Boundaries aren’t just country borders Boundaries are useless if you don’t stick to them. They’re also not meant to shut people out, but to set up little rules that protect you. You do matter. Your health does matter. If you struggle to care for numero uno, then start small. Make a deal with yourself not to answer emails after 8 p.m., schedule responses to go out the next day, or set aside one afternoon a week to focus on something you want to do or to work on the business rather than day to day problems. It’s okay to not always be on When you lead a service based business, there’s an expectation from those around you, and from yourself, to always be on. Because you are the problem solver, decision maker, mover and shaker, and all knowing being people look to for answers. What happens when you need a break? A shoulder to cry on? Someone to vent to? Find someone you can trust to be your ‘person’. A mentor, therapist, peer group, or space where you can vent, be vulnerable, and let go of the weight you’re carrying. Switching off isn’t a weakness, it’s vital for the survival of your mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. Acknowledge the toll You went into this knowing there would be a cost and a price. You knew it wouldn’t be easy. You knew there would be many hurdles and challenges to overcome. Be proactive about taking care of yourself. Acknowledge the toll. Name it. Talk about it. Don’t pretend it doesn’t exist in an act of sacrificial martyrdom as it eats you from the inside. Endless sacrifice is a stupid and dangerous myth There’s this unspoken myth in service based work, the more you sacrifice, the more worthy you are. That is ridiculous. The best leaders don’t give everything, they give wisely. Smart leaders understand their energy is finite. It’s a valuable resource. You can’t give your best to others if you’re running on fumes. It’s okay to celebrate your wins, big and small The to do list is never going to end, the challenges aren’t going to magically stop, and the people you couldn’t help are still going to be there. Despite embracing all the suggestions above, there is no magic bullet that will remove these elements from your service based business. We humans are naturally wired to focus on the bad, it’s called negativity bias. We needed it for survival. We’re carrying that evolutionary wiring every day, even though most of us aren’t facing life or death situations. It stops us from seeing the good, as we pick at the bad like an old wound. While science can explain why we focus on the bad, it can also explain why we should celebrate our wins. Small wins are fuel for our souls, giving us momentum and happiness, and reminding us that we are on the right track. By pausing to celebrate small victories, like finishing a difficult task, getting through a hard day, or hitting a tiny milestone, you’re giving your brain a boost of feel good chemicals that can sustain you through tough times and remind you that what you do matters. • Exclusive Interview with Cindy Witteman Changemaker Empowering Single Parents

Cindy Witteman’s life is a story of resilience, love, and unstoppable determination. From her early years of growing up with a single mother, at times without even basic needs or reliable transportation, to raising her daughters as a single parent after escaping domestic violence, Cindy has lived through more challenges than most. But instead of letting those hardships hold her back, she turned them into her driving force. “I know what it feels like to struggle,” she often shares. “I never want anyone to feel that helpless.” Cindy Witteman, Founder of CF Views LLC Cindy Witteman is a bestselling author, nonprofit founder, and media leader whose life has been shaped by resilience and determination. Raised by a single mother and later becoming a single parent herself after escaping domestic violence, Cindy transformed her personal hardships into a mission to uplift others. Today, through Driving Single Parents Inc., FORCE Magazine, her books, podcast, and TV show, she empowers individuals to rewrite their stories and build lives rooted in purpose and possibility. What inspired you to create Driving Single Parents Inc.? I grew up watching my single mother struggle, and later I faced similar challenges myself. I know how limiting it feels without reliable transportation. A car represents freedom. It allows parents to get to work, pursue education, and provide stability for their children. I wanted to give single parents a real chance to move forward. Can you share a story that deeply impacted you? During the COVID 19 pandemic, we gave a car to a determined mom named La Tieka who wanted to finish college. That car changed everything. She graduated, built her career, became our Vice President of Philanthropy, got married, and later donated the same car back so another single mom could use it. Now that same car is helping a future dentist achieve her dream. It is a full circle moment that shows how one act of kindness can multiply. You are also the Founder and Editor in Chief of FORCE Magazine, what is its purpose? FORCE Magazine amplifies stories of resilience and empowerment. What started as an idea has grown into a bestselling publication with every issue. I believe everyone has a story that can inspire someone else, and the magazine creates space for voices that deserve to be heard. As a five time bestselling author what message drives your work? My core message is simple your past does not define you. In Beyond the Smile Bruised Not Broken and Is Manifesting Bullshit Part 2 The Limit Is YOU, I encourage readers to challenge their mindset and stay open to new possibilities. These books sparked meaningful conversations and even inspired my podcast, where I dive deeper into the power of perspective. Growth begins when we shift how we see ourselves. What inspired your TV show Little Give? There are countless nonprofits doing incredible work that often goes unseen. Little Give highlights these organizations and shows how even small acts of generosity can create lasting impact. It is about shining a light on everyday heroes and inspiring others to get involved. You have received multiple awards including the Trailblazer Award and International Impact Book Awards, what do these honors mean to you? While I am grateful for the recognition, the true reward is seeing lives transformed. Awards are a reflection of the mission, but what matters most to me is watching someone step into a better future because they were given an opportunity. How has your family influenced your journey? My daughters and my beautifully blended family are my why. As a mom, stepmom, and proud Nonna, they give me strength and perspective. They have witnessed my journey through the good days and the difficult ones, and they remind me every day why this work matters. You once struggled with public speaking, what changed? I received life changing advice from Lisa Nichols. She told me to stop searching for the perfect words and instead speak from my soul. That shifted everything. Now when I speak, I do it from the heart, and that authenticity connects more deeply than perfection ever could. What advice would you give someone who feels stuck? Be willing to see things differently. Take the first step, no matter how small. Pain can become power when you choose to move forward. Even the smallest give can create a ripple that changes everything. As she continues to lead, inspire, and empower others around the globe, Cindy Witteman’s story is far from over. In fact, it is just getting started. Follow me on Facebook , and visit my website  for more info! Read more from Cindy Witteman

  • Optimising Social Media for Maximum Impact and Brand Authority

Wr itten by Chris Pennisi, Business Coach and Consultant Chris Pennisi is a passionate and results-driven professional with 20+ years of business, sales, marketing, and tech experience. He is the Boss of Boss Consulting and thrives on supporting and transforming business challenges into growth opportunities, leveraging complex understandings of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and strategic growth. Social media doesn’t fail businesses; however, an unfocused strategy does. Being on every platform without purpose is the fastest way to waste time and dilute your brand. Social media, when done well, builds credibility, authority, and trust long before a sales conversation ever begins. Using social media like a boss means being intentional, consistent, and clear on what role social media plays in your broader business strategy.   Choosing the right platforms Not every platform is built for every business. B2B brands often see the strongest results on LinkedIn, where thought leadership and credibility matter. Visual and lifestyle brands thrive on Instagram or TikTok. Community-driven businesses may build deeper engagement on Facebook or niche platforms. One of the most common mistakes businesses make is spreading themselves too thin. It’s far more effective to dominate one or two platforms than to be forgettable on five. Choose where your audience already spends time and commit to showing up consistently with value.   Growing organically with authority Organic growth isn’t about hacks — it’s about relevance and consistency. Posting sporadically or copying trends without alignment weakens brand trust. Sustainable growth comes from sharing insights, lessons learned, behind-the-scenes moments, and real opinions. When your audience feels educated, understood, or inspired, engagement follows naturally. Authority is built over time when people begin to recognize not just your content, but your perspective.   Paid  advertising with purpose Paid ads should amplify clarity, not replace it. If your messaging isn’t working organically, ads will only make the problem louder. The strongest paid strategies focus on testing, refining, and scaling what already works. Analytics remove emotion from decision-making and provide clear direction. When data leads the strategy, confidence increases, and results follow. Ultimately, using social media like a boss isn’t about being everywhere; it’s about being intentional, valuable, and recognizable where it matters most. Visit my website for more info! • Why High-Functioning Creative Leaders Don’t Feel Rested Even When They Stop

Written by Andrea Yearsley, Creative Leadership Coach Andrea Yearsley helps ambitious women break free from the chaos. With her effective system, her clients learn to establish clear limits, boost their productivity, and reignite that creative spark they thought they'd lost. If rest worked the way it’s commonly prescribed, most creative leaders would already feel restored. They take breaks. They go away. They clear their diaries. And yet many return feeling no more resourced than before, sometimes even more unsettled than when they left. This isn’t because they’re doing rest “wrong.” It’s because stopping activity is not the same as restoring regulation. Rest that doesn’t restore From the outside, many leaders appear to slow down. Internally, very little changes. The nervous system remains alert, scanning and anticipating. Thought loops continue. Responsibility doesn’t fully release. Even pleasure is accompanied by a subtle sense of urgency. For those who have spent years being relied upon, stillness can feel strangely unsafe. Not consciously, but physiologically. This is why traditional advice, “slow down,” “take time off,” “do less”, often fails to land. The body doesn’t know how to downshift anymore. When readiness has been reinforced for years, ease can feel unfamiliar. The cost of being always available Creative leadership trains a particular kind of vigilance. You are needed to decide, respond, resolve. Over time, the body begins to associate usefulness with safety. The result? Rest feels conditional. Silence feels unearned. Ease feels suspicious. This is not a personality flaw. It is learned conditioning. And it explains why insight alone rarely creates change. Understanding the pattern does not automatically shift it. Why willpower isn’t the solution Many leaders blame themselves for not being able to “switch off properly.” But regulation is not a discipline issue. You cannot talk a nervous system into standing down. You cannot logic your way into safety. Until the body is given new reference points, experiences of safety that do not rely on performance, rest will remain shallow. Time away may interrupt activity, but it will not restore capacity. Real restoration begins when vigilance is no longer required. When the body learns that it can soften without consequence. When usefulness is no longer the price of safety. That is when rest becomes more than the absence of work. It becomes genuine recovery. They take breaks. They go away. They clear their diaries. And yet many return feeling no more resourced than before, sometimes even more unsettled than when they left. This isn’t because they’re doing rest “wrong.” It’s because stopping activity is not the same as restoring regulation. Follow me on LinkedIn , and visit my website for more info! • Why Performance No Longer Converts And What Replaces It

Written by Christina Giordano, Marketing & Manifesting Consultant Christina Giordano is the founder of the movement Soul'd™, an approach to marketing and manifesting with nothing but the essence that is you. For years, performance worked. Urgency converted. Confidence signaled competence. Visibility created perceived authority. If you could move fast, speak boldly, and market relentlessly, success would follow. But recently, something has started to change quietly but undeniably. Performance no longer converts the way it used to, and the leaders who built their businesses on adrenaline are beginning to feel the effects. This change is subtle, but it’s becoming clear: what worked before is no longer delivering the same results. The world of business is shifting, and so is the way we engage with it. The performance economy is saturated The online business space has become a performance-driven arena. Alignment was marketed before it was truly embodied. Authority was amplified before it was fully integrated. Spiritual language was often layered over nervous system dysregulation and presented as leadership. And it worked. For a while, performance thrived on attention. But attention has matured. Today’s audiences are no longer impressed by flashy tactics alone. They’ve become more attuned to what feels forced. When something is misaligned—even in small ways—it registers. When trust drops, conversion follows. This shift is not about “cancel culture.” It’s about recalibration or a more accurate alignment with what audiences truly resonate with. The rise of “alignment” as aesthetic One of the major distortions of the past decade has been turning alignment into a branding strategy. “Embodiment” became another marketing tactic. “Authenticity” turned into a curated form of vulnerability. “Energy” became another performance language. On the surface, these elements looked conscious, they sounded regulated, and they brought in results. At least for a time. But alignment that is merely performed, rather than genuinely lived, cannot sustain depth. When strategy advances faster than integration, the gap becomes visible. And it doesn't take scandal for trust to erode; it only requires incoherence. The era of diminishing returns Many entrepreneurs are noticing patterns that are difficult to put into words: Higher output with lower depth Bigger launches with flatter conversions More content, but less connection Exhaustion despite increased visibility The instinct often is to escalate: sharper hooks, bigger promises, more dramatic positioning. But the truth is, performance doesn’t fix misalignment—it amplifies it. The uncomfortable reality is this: "The market is no longer swayed by the nervous energy of ambition dressed up as confidence." Adrenaline is not the same as true authority. Urgency does not equate to leadership. Dominance is not the same as embodiment. Amplification without integration accelerates the loss of trust. This is not merely a marketing issue—it’s about integrity. Why performance is losing fuel Performance is dependent on an external supply—things like attention, adrenaline, validation, and urgency. These factors can create spikes in activity, but spikes are volatile. In today’s saturated market, the nervous system has become a new metric. If your message overrides your body, people sense it. If your authority feels inflated rather than integrated, people notice it. If your strategy outpaces your capacity, people can tell. And when people sense misalignment, they quietly withdraw. Conversion doesn't collapse dramatically. It thins over time. What replaces it: Internal coherence The next era of leadership will be defined by coherence. Coherence represents the alignment between: Message and lived experience Strategy and timing Authority and embodiment Ambition and the capacity of the nervous system to handle it It’s about regulated leadership. It doesn’t rush to signal. It doesn’t manufacture urgency. It doesn’t confuse dominance with true power. And it doesn’t require constant performance to stay relevant. Coherence compounds over time. Performance creates spikes. The market is shifting toward compounding value, not temporary spikes. Non-participation as differentiation An uncomfortable truth is emerging: you don’t have to compete with distortion. You can simply outgrow it. Non-participation is becoming a strategic advantage. Leaders who stop over-explaining, stop over-promising, stop performing certainty, and stop amplifying before integrating are building deeper trust. It’s not about being louder. It’s about being believable. In a culture obsessed with amplification, restraint has become a form of power. Leaders who practice this level of self-restraint are now the ones who gain trust and influence. The disruptive reality This isn't just about refining your branding—it’s about ensuring internal coherence. The future of business won’t belong to those who excel at performance. It will belong to those who sustain integrity first and foremost. If your business has been built on adrenaline, this shift will likely feel destabilizing. But destabilization does not mean collapse—it means recalibration. The leaders who continue to drive momentum in this new era won’t necessarily be the most visible. They will be the most integrated. Performance creates attention. Coherence creates trust. And trust? Trust is what truly converts. Author’s Note I built Soul’d around this principle years ago—essence-led leadership, nervous-system-first decision-making, coherence before momentum. At the time, it may have seemed slower. Today, it feels more sustainable. The future doesn’t belong to louder strategies. It belongs to leaders who let integrity mature before amplification. And that future is already here. • Discovering Alignment and Self-Trust in Life – An Interview with Life Coach Alena Elchaninova

Alena Elchaninova is a London-based life coach, artist, and senior pricing and commercial strategy expert who bridges deep self-awareness with real-world accountability. She works with thoughtful, capable people who are doing their best to function and move forward, yet feel conflicted, stuck, or emotionally overwhelmed on the inside – not because they are failing, but because their inner world is asking for a more honest way of living. Her work is rooted in a clear philosophy: nothing is broken, but much can be understood, integrated, and consciously chosen. Alena helps clients move from inner friction to clarity by working with self-awareness, inner narratives, emotional and body signals, and personal accountability – without bypassing difficult emotions or outsourcing power. Rather than coaching people to fix themselves or perform better versions of who they are, she supports them in developing self-trust, honest boundaries, and practical ways of living that feel internally aligned and sustainable. Her approach blends depth with action, compassion with responsibility, and insight with forward movement. Her clients are often emotionally intelligent, self-reflective people ready to stop living on autopilot and start living from truth – with clarity, agency, and inner alignment that translates into real-life change. Alena Elchaninova, Life Coach Who is Alena Elchaninova? Introduce yourself, your hobbies, your favourites, you at home and in business. Tell us something interesting about yourself. I’m Alena – an ICF-certified life coach based in London, working at the intersection of self-awareness and practical life change. My work is grounded in one core idea: how we relate to ourselves internally shapes how we experience the world, the choices we make, and the lives we build. I’m interested in the meeting point between spirituality and material life – not as opposites, but as parts of the same human experience. At the heart of this work is bringing awareness to all parts of us, without excluding or bypassing what needs attention. Professionally, I’m structured, strategic, and very comfortable holding complexity. Alongside my coaching practice, I’ve built a senior corporate career in pricing and commercial strategy. This has given me a grounded understanding of ambition, pressure, and performance – and taught me to trust intuition not as guesswork, but as refined pattern recognition developed through experience. Aesthetics and beauty are central values in my personal life. I’m a multidisciplinary artist and photographer, and I bring that sensibility into everything I do – not only into my personal space, but into how I think, listen, and work with people. I’m naturally drawn to subtle details: tone, energy, light, what’s said and what’s left unsaid. I believe that learning to see beauty – in spaces, in moments, and in ourselves – is not superficial, but deeply grounding. Learning to see beauty in the parts of us that have been denied, suppressed, or ignored can transform our relationship with ourselves and others. Something that often surprises people is that I don’t separate depth from practicality. I’m deeply intuitive and grounded at the same time. I work with inner narratives, attachment patterns, and emotional dynamics – and then help translate that awareness into clear, realistic next steps. That integration is at the heart of my work. What led you to become a life coach, and how did you find your passion in this field? I didn’t become a life coach because I believed people needed fixing. I became a coach because I saw how deeply our inner world shapes our everyday experience – our sense of peace, our decisions, and the way we relate to ourselves and others. Self-awareness, for me, is not a concept; it’s a practical foundation for living with more clarity and stability. Coaching felt like the most respectful form of support. It honours autonomy and personal agency. It doesn’t take power away or tell people who to be – it helps them access their own wisdom, see their patterns clearly, and make choices that are aligned with who they are now. Change happens when we look honestly at our lives, when pressure drops, and when we stop fighting ourselves. Witnessing how quickly things can shift in that space continues to confirm for me that this work truly matters. How do you define mastery in one's life, and what does it mean for your clients to achieve this level of personal growth? Mastery in one’s life is self-leadership and self-agency. It’s the ability to stay present with what’s happening inside you – your thoughts, emotions, and body signals – and to respond consciously rather than automatically. It’s about having access to yourself, even under pressure, and making choices from awareness instead of habit. It’s not about control or perfection, but about being in relationship with yourself. For me, mastery means staying connected to all parts of yourself. The parts that feel confident and capable, and the parts that feel afraid, uncertain, or protective. It’s learning to relate to those inner movements with honesty and respect, rather than trying to suppress or override them. Mastery doesn’t mean getting rid of these parts; it means recognising where your inner power actually lives and choosing from that place. When clients reach this place, the outer life often improves – relationships, work, confidence, direction. But the deeper change is internal. They stop abandoning themselves. They develop self-trust and become someone they can rely on, even when life is uncertain. What is the biggest challenge your clients face, and how do you help them overcome it? The biggest challenge my clients face is maintaining a conscious, trusting relationship with themselves. Many come feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, but when we explore their inner world, it becomes clear that their lives are shaped by meaningful inner narratives, emotional patterns, and protective strategies that once helped them cope or succeed. Over time, some parts of the self get prioritised while others are ignored, and that internal imbalance creates tension, exhaustion, and a sense of misalignment. My work centres on restoring a respectful relationship with the whole self. We bring awareness to thoughts, emotions, body signals, values, and different inner responses – not to judge or eliminate them, but to understand what they are protecting and whether they still serve the client’s life today. From this awareness, responsibility and inner power naturally return. Change then becomes practical and sustainable: clearer decisions, healthier boundaries, and a way of living that feels more honest, aligned, and self-led. Can you share a transformative success story from your coaching experience that highlights your impact on a client's life? One client came to me struggling with confidence and a persistent sense of guilt and shame. They were caught in constant comparison with others and tense relationships, pushing themselves to be “better” while betraying parts of themselves that needed rest, honesty, acknowledgement, and validation. They believed their life wasn’t enough, without realising that it was actually well aligned with their subconscious inner goals and the perspective of protective parts that had learned to help them survive and function. Our work focused on building self-awareness, creating a safe space for all feelings and inner responses, and shifting the inner conversation from pressure and self-judgement to something more supportive and aligned. As they began to understand what different inner parts were protecting, the internal conflict eased. Values became clearer, decisions and actions became simpler, and tangible change started to happen without force. Their relationship with themselves shifted first – the inner war softened – and shortly after that their external life began to change as well: confidence grew, communication became clearer, new career opportunities emerged, and they felt more connected to their body, with more energy and everyday joy. How do you blend your personal interests and hobbies into your professional coaching practice? Art and aesthetics are integral to my coaching practice; they shape how I see and how I listen. As a photographer and artist, I naturally notice what’s subtle – what’s present but often overlooked. In coaching, this translates into listening beyond the surface of the story. I pay attention to small shifts in language, emotional tone, and energy, and I help clients notice the quiet but important details within themselves. At the same time, my corporate background brings structure and practicality. I value depth and insight, and I focus on grounding that awareness in clear, realistic steps – small, repeatable changes that create momentum and can be integrated into everyday life. I continue to develop my own practice to support clients more fully. I’m particularly interested in breathwork, as well as body-based somatic techniques that support inner alignment. I bring curiosity, presence, and embodiment into every session, using practices such as movement, reflective writing, and awareness exercises to help clients slow down enough to hear themselves while staying fully engaged with real life and responsibility. What makes your approach to life coaching unique compared to others in the field? My approach is rooted in a simple but often overlooked truth: you are not broken. There is nothing to fix – but there is a great deal to become aware of, understand, and integrate in order to move forward with greater inner alignment and personal truth. I help clients understand who they already are: how their patterns formed, which narratives they live from, what those patterns once protected, and how to relate to themselves with honesty and respect. Emotions are not obstacles in my work; they are information. Inner conflict isn’t something to push through or overcome, but something to listen to and understand. What makes my approach distinctive is how deeply integrated it is. I work simultaneously with self-awareness, inner narratives, body signals, values, and practical choice. Relationships, work, money, identity, the nervous system, and purpose are not treated as separate areas – they are expressions of the same inner relationship. The work is deeply compassionate and highly accountable. We focus on what is within the client’s agency and translate awareness into real-life decisions, boundaries, and action. When that inner relationship shifts, life reorganises naturally around it. What are the core values that guide your coaching philosophy and how do they shape your client relationships? The core values that guide my work are: Self-awareness & truth – real change begins with honest self-contact. We look beneath surface symptoms to understand the deeper inner patterns at play. Respect & acceptance of what is – transformation doesn’t require force or inner war. It unfolds through presence, safety, acceptance, and conscious choice. Personal agency – clients are the authority in their own lives. What we experience externally often reflects our inner world, beliefs, and narratives – which is where agency lives. My role is to support clarity, not to direct. Compassion – meeting yourself as a complex human being, not as a problem to be fixed. Integration & action – insight matters only if it becomes lived. Awareness is translated into choices, actions, and ways of relating that can be practiced in everyday life. How do you support clients in balancing their personal and professional lives while pursuing their goals? I start by normalising something many people forget: balance isn’t primarily about time management – it’s about the relationship with oneself. We look at what’s actually driving the imbalance, whether that’s fear of failure, people-pleasing, identity tied to achievement, guilt, or other internal pressures. When these dynamics are named and explored, balance becomes something we can work with rather than something we endlessly strive for. Because I’ve worked in senior corporate environments, I understand real constraints and pressure. We don’t force balance or apply rigid rules. Instead, we focus on what’s realistic: clarifying priorities, setting honest boundaries, managing energy, and making decisions aligned with values. As inner alignment improves, balance often follows naturally – and clients learn how to pursue success without self-abandonment. What tools or techniques do you use in your coaching to help clients create lasting change? I use a wide range of practical tools, always adapted to the individual client and their specific context. Some of the key ones are: Powerful questions and narrative work to explore the beliefs and meanings clients are living from. Parts, shadow, and inner-child reflection to understand inner dynamics and patterns. Somatic awareness and psychosomatic tools to notice how emotions and stress show up in the body. Energy awareness practices to support alignment, flow, and deeper self-connection. Mindfulness and presence-based practices to support regulation, clarity, and self-connection. Attachment-informed reflection to explore how clients relate to closeness, boundaries, safety, and self-worth in relationships. Stress-management and change-support techniques to help integrate insight into everyday life. The exact tools are always tailored to the person and the moment. What matters most is not the technique itself, but how awareness is translated into action and lived change. What advice would you give to someone hesitant about starting a coaching journey with you? Start with an initial free session and use it to feel whether we are a good match to work together. Coaching is a partnership, and it’s important that you feel safe, respected, genuinely supported – and that you can see real results from the work. I work deeply and I engage fully in the sessions. This is not passive work. You should begin to notice meaningful shifts early on – not just understanding more about yourself, but changing how you relate to yourself and the choices you make. Insight without movement isn’t enough. Some people spend years in processes that bring awareness but little real change – I’ve experienced that myself, and it shaped how I work today. My approach is focused on depth and results. Choose your partner in transformation wisely: someone you trust, who challenges you honestly, and who is committed to real movement rather than endless exploration. Where do you see your business going in the next five years, and what are your future plans for personal and professional growth? Professionally, I plan to expand my private practice and develop signature offerings beyond one-to-one coaching. I want to create work that people don’t just consume, but actually live from. My focus is not awareness for its own sake, but self-work that leads to real, tangible change. Personally, my growth is inseparable from my work. I’ll continue refining my practice, deepening my own self-awareness, and living what I teach – conscious choice, self-trust, and aligned action. My creative work remains part of this path. For me, art and coaching serve the same purpose: revealing what’s beneath the surface and bringing more truth, clarity, and beauty into how we live. • 4 Stress Management Tips to Improve Heart Health

Written by Eva M. Gordon, LCSW, Psychotherapist and Mental Health Consultant Eva Gordon works with individuals, families, and organizations to promote safety, well-being, and self-care. Eva is the founder and director of Life Guide LCSW, P.C., a mental health practice providing psychotherapy and community mental health education. February is American Heart Month, and we need to find practical ways to care for ourselves. According to the Centers for Disease Control, heart disease  is the number one cause of death in the US and the world. President Lyndon Johnson designated February as a national call to bring attention to heart health in 1964. One way to manage heart health is to learn stress management tools. What is stress? Before we begin learning tools for stress management, let us first define what stress is. The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) defines stress as a response to any demand or challenge that happens to all of us. Not all stress is bad, yet prolonged or chronic stress is unhealthy. The main idea is that stress is manageable. Related article: click here . Understanding stress is crucial because its impact on heart health is significant. The American Heart Association  states that unhealthy mental health conditions increase your risk of heart disease and stroke. These mental health issues put you at risk for heart disease, i.e., high blood pressure: Depression, Anxiety, Chronic Stress, anger, pessimism, and dissatisfaction with life. Benefits of stress management for heart health One study shows that people recovering from heart disease who included stress management in medical rehabilitation had lower stress rates and cardiac events than patients without stress management. They also saw lower rates of heart attacks, angina, and strokes. Related article: click here . With this background, let’s explore four actionable stress management tools that can make a difference in your heart health: 1. Check in with yourself Reflect on your health with a holistic viewpoint. Check your appetite to see if it has lessened or increased over the past few weeks. Is your sleep broken by waking up in the middle of the night, or do you have your usual 6-8 hours of sleep? Has your mood been shifting lately, i.e., yelling more than usual or shutting down more frequently? Do you have any challenges with decision-making? This could be less mental clarity with simple tasks like wearing clothes, or what to eat. Also, has your physical activity decreased or increased? Physical activity is a wonderful way to reduce stress.   2. Keep track of your breathing Deep breathing is a fantastic way to reduce stress. It is a natural, immediate response to stress and anxiety. To do deep breathing, first inhale through your nose and hold for 3 seconds. Then exhale through your mouth, as if you are holding a straw, and breathe slowly. As you do this for 3-5 minutes, you will feel the tension in your body lessen, especially in your chest and shoulders.   3. Talk to yourself nicely Positive self-talk provides healthy emotional support to your mind. When facing a challenge, recite a mantra or spiritual phrase, i.e., “I can do this” or “This is temporary.” Replace negative thoughts with positive action, i.e., go for a walk, call your BFF/partner, or listen to a song you enjoy. You can also write down what is bothering you to release stress from your mind, body, and spirit.   4. Get a bedtime routine Take time to clear your mind from your day to reduce stress and anxiety. Your mind needs time to rest to improve your sleep. The first step is to reflect on your day, focusing on what went right today, and improving your mood. Make a to-do list for the day or week to organize and prioritize your tasks. Have an end time for technology, i.e., social media and TV. Do something that feels good to lighten your mood.   Thoughts to ponder When you manage your stress, you are helping your heart. While we live in a world that feels like we are under constant stress, stress is manageable and is a part of life. When we feel stressed beyond a resolved problem, then check in with yourself. Check your physical health, your appetite, sleep, and physical activity. Use positive thoughts to reduce negativity and doubt, and create a bedtime routine.   If you’re ready to learn personalized stress management strategies that support your heart and overall well-being, schedule a consultation with me today and take the first step toward lasting balance and calm. • Mastering Leadership with Clarity and Confidence – An Interview with Psychologist Dr. Ariel McGrew

Dr. Ariel McGrew is a business psychologist and the founder of Tactful Disruption®, a transformative approach designed to help leaders align their identity with strategic clarity. With a focus on emotional regulation and sustainable growth, Dr. ShiversMcGrew helps clients overcome burnout and confusion, leading them to become empowered, strategic decision-makers. Dr. Ariel McGrew, Founder, Business Psychologist Who is Ariel McGrew? I’m Dr. Ari, a business psychologist, licensed clinical professional counselor, and the founder of Tactful Disruption®. In business, I’m known for blending clinical precision with strategic clarity to help leaders recalibrate their identity and navigate complexity without losing themselves. At home, I’m quieter than people expect. I love hiking, lifting weights, curating playlists, and “playing apothecary” with supplements and self‑observation routines. My favorite places are Hawaii and anywhere with ancient history; Greece, Italy, and Rome feel like places where the past still teaches. Something interesting about me: I spend my days holding space for others, but the moments I treasure most are when I get to be fully human with people who see me beyond my credentials.   What inspired you to create Tactful Disruption, and what problem were you determined to solve? Tactful Disruption® was born from a mix of lived experience, military training, and academic rigor. I saw high‑performing people struggling with internal patterns that limited their clarity, confidence, and leadership effectiveness. Traditional corporate development and mental health approaches often treat symptoms, not the deeper identity and emotional mechanics driving behavior. I wanted to create a methodology that addressed the whole person, their psychology, their strategy, and their sense of self, so they could lead without self‑betrayal. Tactful Disruption® became my answer to the question: How do we help people grow without losing who they are? How do you define “tactful disruption,” and why is this approach so powerful for leaders and businesses today? Tactful Disruption® is the art of interrupting unhelpful patterns with precision, emotional intelligence, and strategic intent. It’s disruption without chaos, honesty without harm, and growth without burnout. Leaders today are navigating identity friction, rapid change, and constant pressure to perform. They don’t need more noise, they need frameworks that help them think clearly, communicate accurately, and lead sustainably. Tactful Disruption® gives them a way to challenge norms, shift behaviors, and make decisions from a grounded, regulated place.   Who do you primarily serve, and what challenges do they usually come to you with? I primarily serve high‑performing professionals, first‑generation leaders, neurodivergent individuals, military personnel, executives, founders, and creatives. They come to me when they’re navigating identity shifts, burnout, stagnation, emotional reactivity, or leadership uncertainty. Many are brilliant on paper but overwhelmed internally. They’re not looking for generic coaching, they want depth, precision, and a psychologically informed approach that honors both their humanity and their ambition.   What makes your approach different from traditional leadership or business consulting? Most consulting focuses on behavior, metrics, or operations. My work focuses on identity, psychology, and strategy. I integrate trauma‑aware principles, business psychology, emotional regulation, and strategic decision‑making into one cohesive framework. It’s culturally responsive, neurodiversity‑affirming, and grounded in real‑world application. Clients don’t just learn new skills; they become someone who can use those skills sustainably. That’s the difference.   Can you explain, in simple terms, how you help clients create real and lasting change? I help clients create change by teaching them how to understand their patterns, regulate their emotions, and make decisions from clarity instead of survival mode. We use structured frameworks, reflective practices, and small, strategic experiments to shift behavior over time. Change becomes sustainable when it’s iterative, intentional, and aligned with identity – not forced, rushed, or performative. My job is to help clients build systems inside themselves that support who they’re becoming.   What common mistake do leaders or organizations make that holds them back the most? The biggest mistake is reactive leadership treating every disruption like a crisis and relying on a few “hero leaders” to fix systemic issues. This creates burnout, low trust, and inconsistent decision‑making. Leaders often underestimate the power of emotional accuracy, psychological safety, and clear communication. When organizations skip the human layer, they end up solving the wrong problems.   What kind of transformation can clients expect when they work with you? Clients experience transformation in four core areas: identity, emotional regulation, resilience, and strategic clarity. They become less reactive and more intentional. They communicate with more precision, lead with more presence, and make decisions that align with their values instead of their fears. Many describe the work as “finally feeling like myself again but stronger.”   How do you help clients navigate resistance, conflict, or uncomfortable conversations effectively? I teach clients how to stay grounded, emotionally accurate, and strategic under pressure. We practice real scenarios using frameworks that help them identify triggers, regulate their nervous system, and communicate assertively without escalating tension. They learn how to anticipate resistance, set boundaries, and respond with clarity instead of reacting from habit. The goal is not to avoid discomfort, it’s to navigate it with confidence and integrity. What results are you most proud of helping your clients achieve? I’m proud of the moments when clients reclaim their identity, advocate for themselves, and make decisions that align with their values. I’ve watched leaders navigate systemic barriers with clarity, parents rebuild connection with their children, and professionals step into roles they once thought were out of reach. The result I value most is when someone says, “I trust myself now.” That’s the transformation that lasts.   What mindset shift do your clients need to embrace to truly disrupt old patterns and grow? They need to embrace a mindset rooted in awareness, growth, agency, disciplined iteration, and identity integration. In simple terms: Old pattern – Awareness – Intentional action – Iteration – New pattern. Growth isn’t a single breakthrough; it’s a series of small, strategic shifts that eventually become who you are. When clients understand that change is a process, not a performance, everything opens up.   For someone feeling stuck or unsure about their next move, what’s the first step you recommend they take with you? Start by acknowledging where you are honestly and without judgment. Stagnation loses its power when you stop pretending it isn’t there. Then take one small, intentional action that nudges you forward. Not a reinvention. Not a five‑year plan. Just one step that creates movement. Action creates clarity, and clarity creates momentum. That’s how transformation begins. Follow me on Facebook , Instagram , and visit my website for more info! Read more from Dr. Ariel McGrew
