  • Apinder Sidhu, Intuitive Coach and Healer, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

I knew from a young age that my life was always going to centre around helping and supporting others, which has been further highlighted in my career and pathway choices, through years of learning and training, as an employee and now as a Coach and Healer. I grew up in a large family where I looked after my young siblings and was a carer from a young age, helping my parents whilst they were at work. When I reached an age to decide on a vocation and career, I chose teaching, especially as I had a love for my subject area of History. I always believed, and still do, that learning about our past can help us make better choices for our future, both collectively as humans and as individuals. Learning about my heritage and about the world shaped how I felt about my environment and what I could do to help others. My faith as a Sikh is about being of service to others but ensuring I stay true to myself, values I hold very dear and underpin my life and healing practice. In 1999 I was first introduced to delivering sessions on motivation and confidence building, which was an early framework of coaching. However, the importance of coaching and self-development was not fully recognised as it is today, therefore I didn’t initially pursue this avenue as a career although it felt very familiar and authentic to me. Then in 2013, I was once again drawn to coaching and decided to pursue formal training. The realisation of what a difference coaching can make to an individual’s life when they engage in a coaching session, was very profound. When my client took steps to work towards eliminating their limiting beliefs and realising their potential, it is such a joy to witness how their perspective aboout their life changed completely and they raised their awareness on their self evolution. As my coaching journey progressed, I came to realise and understand that the individuals I was working with and attracting to my business were holding pain, trauma and often a negative belief system. At this time, alongside my professional coaching I embarked further on my own journey, connecting into my spiritual work. At first I did not realise that in the future these two areas of my life would become greatly intertwined. Initially when I trained to become an Akashic Records reader and Healer, I kept the two sides of my work very separate. However, slowly my intuition guided me to help support my clients in the various areas of their lives by combining traditional coaching techniques and models such as goal setting but to include practices such as visualisation, meditation, releasing and manifesting. This holistic combination has worked well towards healing and awakening my clients’ desire to let go of experiences, thoughts, emotions and beliefs that no longer serve them and then to move forward by engaging in making changes so that they could embrace the opportunity to living their most purposeful life. Authenticity, transformation, acceptance and being purposeful are all important elements of my practice, but ultimately my work is about holistically and energetically supporting the healing process of the person I am working with, which can take various forms from talking, meditating, laughing and crying - all with large doses of compassion, kindness and love.   Apinder Sidhu Executive Contributor Intuitive Coach and Healer Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. • Marion Pollack, Financial literacy coach, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

“I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.” Luke 16:9   For the past 25years, this verse has served as a constant reminder for Marion to continue with her mission of ensuring that her family and community are in the best spiritual, mental, physical, emotional and financial state possible. She realizes that this is very important as these factors will sustain the success of future generations. In 1995, Marion earned a Cosmetology License from Romar Beauty Academy, and very soon after, she opened her first business “Nailz by Mookie”; a mobile nail spa. With the encouragement and support of her family, friends, and clients, Marion went on to further her education in Cosmetology and in 1996 was honored with the accreditation of Master Nail Technician for Creative Nail Design. This certification was obtained through the prestigious Creative Nail Design, Inc. of Vista, California. Always eager to improve herself and provide a better quality of life for her children, in 1996 Marion enrolled in Palm Beach State College, and in 1998 she received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. Over the years, Marion has participated in numerous conversations with clients, family members, members of her church congregation, and like-minded industry professionals and she has realized a common thread; everyone that she talks to is looking for the answer to better health and wealth building. Being the caring person that she is, Marion was always quick to advise prayer, healthier eating habits, daily exercise, and budgeting as a way to obtain better health and establish a wealth building process. Although she knew that these suggestions were good and sincere, Marion felt in her heart that there had to be a way to ensure that the people she was coming in contact with would've be develop a regiment that would be suitable for them to obtain their goals. In October of 2010 Marion was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Marion chose to look at this diagnosis as an opportunity and a blessing. Not only did she fight breast cancer (and win), she also used this experience to educate people within her community on the importance of health, preventative care, and resources that provide support for underinsured and uninsured women struggling with the same and/or similar diagnoses. In 2012, Marion’s testimony was featured in Shape Magazine, Good Enough Mother Magazine and the Sun Sentinel Newspaper. In 2013, Marion was featured in the Al Packer Ford Warriors in Pink campaign, and subsequently, Marion became a national breast cancer speaker for the Susan G. Komen South Florida Affiliates. With the passion instilled in her to create generational wealth within her community, in 2015, Marion became a Wealth Educational Coach teaching individuals how to build and manage their financial reputation. In 2017 she opened House of Pleasure 561, offering a full range of nail services within a peaceful and pleasurable environment. Marion currently resides in Boynton Beach with her two children and for the past 25 years has been a faithful member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church In Coconut Grove, Miami, Florida. In the spirit of sharing her blessing, Marion uses the knowledge that she has gained from being a breast cancer survivor and adopting a healthier, wealthier lifestyle to show everyone she meets how they too can transform their lives spiritually, mentally, physically, Marion Pollack Executive Contributor Financial literacy coach Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise.
