- How Technology is Reshaping Emotional Support and Human Connection – An Interview with Yujia Zhu
Dr. Yujia Zhu is a social entrepreneur, researcher, and interdisciplinary thought leader working at the intersection of psychology, technology, ethics, and social impact. She is the sole creator of FASSLING.AI , an AI-driven nonprofit platform that provides unlimited free, multilingual emotional-support and life-coaching services to people around the world. Grounded in the Buddhist principle of dāna, the practice of generosity, FASSLING.AI was designed as a scalable humanitarian technology initiative aimed at democratizing access to mental health support. Her work explores how leadership, spirituality, and technology can be integrated to build more ethical and compassionate systems. As the creator of the Business Spiritual Capital™ framework, Dr. Zhu examines how spiritual intelligence can inform responsible entrepreneurship and sustainable innovation. Through her writing, research, and public speaking, Dr. Zhu advocates for a future in which technological progress is guided not only by efficiency and profit, but by wisdom, compassion, and human dignity. Yujia Zhu, Social Entrepreneur, Author, Executive Coach What inspired the vision behind creating an AI platform that delivers free, 24/7 emotional and life coaching support to people worldwide? What inspired me to create FASSLING.AI was pain, both personal and collective. Over time, I kept seeing the same heartbreaking pattern, so many people were suffering quietly, often at the exact moment they needed support most, and yet help remained out of reach. Some could not afford therapy. Some lived in places where mental health services were scarce. Some were afraid of being judged. Some did not even have the language to explain what they were feeling. And many were simply alone at 2 a.m., carrying burdens too heavy to hold by themselves. I created FASSLING.AI from a very human question, What would it look like if high-quality emotional and life coaching support were treated less like a privilege and more like a basic act of care? I wanted to build something that could meet people in those invisible moments, the moments when they are overwhelmed, grieving, confused, ashamed, or simply exhausted by life and offer immediate, compassionate support without requiring wealth, status, geography, or perfect timing. At the heart of this vision is the belief that people do not just need information, they need to feel seen. They need a safe space to pause, breathe, reflect, and begin again. Technology, when guided by ethics and compassion, could become an instrument of service rather than distance. For me, this was never just about building an AI platform. It was about building a bridge between isolation and connection, between silence and expression, between survival and the possibility of healing. That is the vision that continues to guide me. How can AI transform access to emotional support and life coaching for individuals who cannot easily reach traditional mental health services? AI has the power to radically widen the doorway to support. Traditional mental health and coaching services are incredibly valuable, but they are not always accessible. Many people face financial constraints, long waitlists, language barriers, transportation issues, cultural stigma, disability-related limitations, or simply a lack of available providers in their region. Others may be caregivers, students, immigrants, shift workers, or people living in crisis who cannot fit traditional appointments into their lives. In reality, need does not follow office hours. AI can help transform this by offering immediate, low-barrier, high-quality around-the-clock support anytime anywhere in various languages. It can provide a first layer of emotional holding space when a person feels distressed, lost, or alone. It can help someone name their feelings, organize their thoughts, reflect on patterns, learn coping tools, and take small next steps toward stability and self-understanding. For someone who has never spoken openly before, that first moment of nonjudgmental interaction can be life-changing. What matters to me is that AI does not have to replace human care in order to expand care. It can serve as an entry point, a companion, a supplement, or a bridge. It can meet people where they are, in their own language, at their own pace, and often in the privacy they need in order to open up. I have always believed that access is not only a logistical issue, it is a dignity issue. When emotional and coaching support becomes available only to those with enough money, time, education, or social comfort, we create a world where vulnerability is unevenly supported. AI gives us a chance to challenge that inequality. It gives us a chance to say, you matter too, your pain matters too, and support should not depend entirely on your circumstances. That is where the transformation begins. What makes an AI-driven virtual safe space effective in helping people process emotions, build resilience, and develop essential life skills? A virtual safe space becomes effective when it offers people something many have been missing for a very long time, consistency, unconditional love with no judgment, emotional permission, and room to reflect without fear. So many people move through life in environments where they feel they must perform strength, suppress emotion, or make themselves easy for others to handle. They are used to being interrupted, judged, dismissed, misunderstood, or rushed. A well-designed AI safe space can interrupt that pattern. It can create a calmer psychological environment where a person is invited to slow down and actually listen to themselves. That matters more than people realize. When someone is able to express what they feel without shame, several things begin to happen. They start identifying emotions with greater clarity. They begin to notice patterns in their thinking and behavior. They can reflect on what triggers them, what soothes them, and what values they want to live by. Over time, that process helps build emotional literacy, self-awareness, resilience, decision-making ability, and inner steadiness. An effective AI safe space also meets people in practical ways. It can guide grounding exercises, journaling prompts, reframing techniques, boundary-setting language, communication tools, and self-regulation strategies. It can help users move from emotional chaos to emotional comprehension, and from there to thoughtful action. But perhaps the deepest value is this, resilience is not built only by “being strong.” It is built through repeated experiences of being able to return to oneself. If technology can gently help people do that again and again, then it becomes more than a tool. It becomes a training ground for self-trust. That is what I care about most, not creating dependency, but helping people reconnect with their own capacity, wisdom, and dignity. Eventually, reclaiming their own powerful agency. How does your platform bridge the gap between technology and human compassion while maintaining empathy, inclusivity, and cultural sensitivity? For me, the bridge begins with intention. Technology by itself is not compassionate. It becomes compassionate only when it is designed with a deep respect for human vulnerability. From the beginning, I did not want to create something cold, transactional, or performatively “helpful.” I wanted to create an experience that feels emotionally safe, culturally aware, and fundamentally nonjudgmental. That means empathy is not treated as a decorative feature. It is part of the architecture. Bridging technology and compassion requires asking different design questions. Not just, “What can AI do?” but “How will this interaction feel to someone who is lonely, ashamed, grieving, overwhelmed, or afraid?” “Will this person feel respected?” “Will they feel pressured, misunderstood, or pathologized?” “Can the platform meet people from different cultures, languages, and life circumstances without forcing them into a narrow model of expression?” Inclusivity matters deeply to me because suffering is universal, but the way people express suffering is not. Culture shapes language, emotional norms, family dynamics, stigma, spirituality, and help-seeking behavior. A truly supportive platform must honor that complexity rather than erase it. That is why multilingual accessibility and cultural sensitivity are so important to the mission. I wanted people from different backgrounds to feel that this space was not built only for a privileged few, but for them too. Human compassion also means respecting limits. Ethical AI should not pretend to be human, should not overclaim, and should not manipulate emotional dependence. Compassion includes honesty, transparency, and care around risk. In my view, the real promise of this work is not making machines more “human-like.” It is using technology to support more humane systems. When we do that well, innovation stops being about novelty and starts becoming about service. What challenges do people commonly face when seeking emotional support, and how does your AI model remove barriers such as cost, stigma, and accessibility? One of the hardest truths is that many people struggle long before they ever ask for help. Some worry they cannot afford it. Some do not know where to begin. Some have had painful experiences of not being believed or understood. Some fear being seen as weak. Some come from families or cultures where emotional struggle is minimized or hidden. Some are simply too overwhelmed to navigate the process of finding support while already in distress. And then there is timing. Suffering does not arrive when it is convenient. A panic spiral, a moment of despair, a wave of loneliness, or a crisis of direction often happens outside of scheduled appointments and formal systems. These barriers are not small. They shape who gets help and who remains unseen. Our AI platform removes barriers by making support immediate, free, private, and globally accessible. A person does not need insurance, a referral, transportation, or a large budget. They do not need to wait weeks for an opening. They can engage in their own language, in their own time, from wherever they are. That alone can dramatically lower the threshold for reaching out. It also helps reduce stigma because the first step becomes less intimidating. For many people, it is easier to begin with a confidential, nonjudgmental interaction than to immediately disclose deeply personal feelings to another person face-to-face. That first conversation can become a turning point. It can help someone realize that their emotions are valid, that their struggles have language, and that seeking support is not failure - it is courage. To me, barrier removal is not just a technical achievement. It is an act of social inclusion. It says that care should not be reserved only for the few who know how to navigate systems well. It should be available to the many who are simply trying to make it through the day with their humanity intact. What does the future of AI-supported emotional wellbeing and personal development look like, and how do you see your work shaping that transformation? I believe the future of AI-supported emotional wellbeing will be defined by one central question, Will we use technology merely to optimize human functioning, or will we use it to honor human dignity? My hope is that we move toward the second. In the future, I believe emotional support and personal development will become more continuous, personalized, multilingual, and globally accessible. AI will help people engage in reflection, self-regulation, learning, and growth in more immediate ways. It will support early intervention, reduce isolation, and make wellbeing tools available far beyond traditional institutional boundaries. People will no longer have to wait until they are in crisis to receive support, they will be able to build emotional skills proactively as part of daily life. At the same time, this future must be shaped with immense care. The more intimate technology becomes, the more ethical responsibility it carries. We will need stronger frameworks around transparency, safety, governance, cultural inclusion, and humane design. Without those foundations, innovation can easily outpace wisdom. The role I hope my work plays is to help define a more compassionate model for this future. Through FASSLING.AI and my broader work at the intersection of psychology, ethics, law, leadership, and spiritual intelligence, I want to contribute to a vision of AI that does not simply make systems faster, but makes them more humane. I want to help prove that advanced technology and deep compassion do not have to exist in opposition. If my work leaves any mark, I hope it is this, that we expanded the imagination of what technology can be used for. Not only productivity. Not only convenience. But care. Relief. Reflection. Healing. Human connection. Because in the end, the most meaningful innovation is not the one that impresses people most. It is the one that helps people suffer less, feel less alone, and remember their own worth. Follow me on Facebook , Instagram , and visit my website for more info! Read more from Yujia Zhu
- 5 Doable Reframes to Get You Closer to Happy Today
Written by Joey Bothwell, Medicine Guide Joey Bothwell is a veteran medicine guide, presence coach, and founder of Sentience. With over a decade worth of hands-on experience in addiction recovery and somatic therapies, Joey embodies the privilege of what it means to never abandon yourself. Are you sick of seeing everyone else “living their best life” while just getting through your day feels like a win? You’ve done the therapy. Cold plunges don’t pack the same punch as they used to. And if one more podcast tells you to “just let them,” you might actually throw your phone. Same, friend. Same. Let’s make this simple and real. Here are five actually doable reframes to help you access joy that lasts. 1. If it’s not a “f*ck yes,” it’s a “no” There’s no in-between. Indifference isn’t love. Your body already knows what’s right for you, but most of us are trained to override it. We listen to thoughts instead of sensations, familiar patterns instead of curious inquiry, logic instead of truth. Start here, if your body says 'yes', trust it. Act on it. Even in the smallest ways. Yes, even down to choosing your underwear. If it’s Tuesday and your whole being wants the Thursday pair, wear the damn underwear. That’s not chaos, that’s alignment over perceived safety through control. Your joy, your peace, your purpose, they aren’t out there somewhere. They’re already in you. But like any relationship, they require attentive and consistent behaviors. Your genuine needs don’t shout like your ego does. They whisper, then speak. Perhaps even scream violently if you’ve truly committed to ignoring them. But when listened to and valued, they are your single most powerful ally. Learning to follow that internal “Fck yes” is how you stop just surviving and start thriving in the co-creation of your life. So, what else are you doing? Follow your Fck yes, wherever it may take you. Prioritize your relationship to “self” Like any good relationship, you have to be present and put in time. So, treat yourself and your practice of building a strong foundation with the same principles you would enter into any relationship that’s important to you. Develop the simple practice of: Listening Trust Follow-through Seems super easy on paper, and yet we prioritize all of the other things before we actually get it on the calendar to spend quality time with ourselves. We’re funny creatures that way. The ego is insistent and consistently tries to get you to avoid the relationship with the Self. When that relationship with Self becomes valued, the relationship to the ego (buying all the stuff, the 401(k), the 2.5 children, the white picket fence, things that make us feel safe, momentarily) starts to dissolve and, by extension, loses its power over what is driving you. To question what is driving you can be an upheaval of many years' worth of survival strategies that your ego doesn’t want you to look at because it’s scared. Scared that somehow, if it’s not in control, that could, and will, mean death. And in some ways, the death of the ego is mandatory. But only for a moment. Then the Self and Ego can coexist in a healthy, secure relationship. But that takes work. Deep work, friends. And that work is worth every effort made. 2. Choose joy, full stop “Joy is the matriarch of all emotions, and she will not visit you until all her children are welcome.” – Joe Hudson Joy isn’t something you chase, it’s something you allow. Something to be received much like a good orgasm. You can’t chase it or control it. It’s something that comes to you, that you receive through vulnerability and surrender. And those are very scary words. Here’s the catch, you don’t get joy by avoiding everything else. In fact, it’s the opposite. We have to be able to welcome all of the parts of Self fully and be able to build the capacity to hold those bigger feelings when they come, and then joy will inevitably bring up the rear of that magic feelings parade. Your emotions are not here to ruin your life. They are here to help. Strong and subtle guidance systems escorting you towards your joy. When ignored, they don’t disappear, they get louder. Then they become stress. They become dis-ease because they matter. They are a vital part of the human experience that cannot be ignored. So let’s reframe the obvious children that should not be ignored: Sadness isn’t weakness. Anger isn’t bad. Fear isn’t failure. They are information, beautiful, generous information that is trying to help you and get your attention. And it’s your job to process them. Sit with them. No one can do that for you. But there are humans out there who want to and can help guide you through all of it. Use them. So what can I do today? Choose the option that brings you more joy. Even if it’s only slightly more, choose that feeling. Then close your eyes, go inward, and ask: Where do I feel this in my body? What does real joy feel like for me? Is this coming from fear, or expansion? Over time, you’ll learn to tell the difference between: Ego (familiar, protective, limiting) Self (expansive, aligned, curious, alive) Warning! Ego can be a sneaky, slippery little sucker who likes to dress up in costumes that look a lot like Self. Get to know that part of you and the subtle dialects that morph. Hire a coach or a therapist to help you differentiate the parts of you and where they come from. These humans are incredibly helpful. Invest in them, and the investment in you will have guaranteed returns. 3. Separate ego from self (like church and state) Your ego isn’t the enemy. It kept you alive. Give it a high five. Throw it a party and give it recognition for surviving your childhood because, let’s be honest, no one doing this human experience thing gets out of childhood unscathed. However, what protected you at 5 years old might be the very thing that is sabotaging your relationships at 45. Nothing to shame here, just information to note and have compassion for. Our brain wires around survival. And those old patterns? They don’t just disappear because you “grew up.” They run in the background like outdated software, and we all know how great our computers run when there are 75 tabs open at once, complete with music we can’t find and clickbait that grates on the last exposed nerve. You have to deal with “what it means to be you.” It’s worth the investigation. Your joy is on the other side of the hard thing. Go do the hard thing. It’s time for an upgrade, and you, my friend, already have the newest software. Here’s how to start using that upgrade and how to start noticing the difference: Ego: Rooted in fear and control Loud, urgent, reactive Seeks safety through repetition and familiarity Looks for scarcity and “not enough.” Self: Rooted in trust and ease Calm, grounded, clear Invites growth and relationship to the unknown Sees abundance and possibility Your body knows the difference, even when your mind doesn’t. When something expands you, softens you, or excites you in a grounded way? That’s Self. When something constricts, loops, invokes fear, or panics? That’s Ego. You are not broken. You’re just running old code that’s trying to keep you alive. It just doesn’t totally understand what a Trader Joe’s is or that a sabre-tooth tiger is no longer trying to kill you. 4. Practice stillness, softness, and move your body The ego loves noise, speed, and distraction. More goals. More validation. More everything. Because if you slow down, you might hear something deeper, something more connected to something bigger, and that threatens its control. But here’s the truth, you can’t control life. And staying busy to avoid that reality? Exhausting. Stillness is where your inner wisdom lives. Start small: Sit in silence for a few minutes. Fine, seconds, start with 30 seconds. Focus on your breath. This needs to become your most cherished bestie. Spend time with it, please! Let things be quiet without needing to fix them. Be curious about what you can receive in the quiet. And then, move your body. Not for aesthetics. Not for optimization. For participation. For co-creation. For love. For gratitude. For joy. Why dancing works (even badly): Boosts endorphins and dopamine (hello, mood lift) Lowers cortisol (goodbye, stress overload) Enhances brain connectivity and neuroplasticity Improves emotional processing and resilience Builds connection and shared experience when done with others Dance is one of the most integrated healing tools we have, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially. So, yes. Dance in your kitchen like no one is watching. In the dark or under the stars. With people, or plants, or pets, or completely alone. Shut up and dance and watch your joy find you. It will not miss you. Your destiny will hunt you. Yoga (or whatever feels like a moving meditation) A yoga practice is where the rubber meets the road. Developing a safe, consistent place where your brain and body can commune with your inner knowing, wisdom, or self is incredibly helpful as you cultivate your own joy. This can be long walks, golfing, running, Qi gong, whatever, just a moving practice that confronts you with the challenge of being completely present. The yoga mat teaches you what to do when things get uncomfortable. How do you avoid yourself or lean into your strengths when faced with stillness and tedious effort? It can be the best place to witness yourself fully and reflect on how you interact with the world around you, and how often all you need to do to persevere to the next moment is to go to your own breath for guidance. That badass bestie will never leave you. Learn places where you spend time prioritizing yourself and your breath. 5. Stop abandoning yourself to take care of everyone else Let’s be honest, this one hits. You matter. Your needs matter. And unfortunately, this concept generally doesn’t really hit until it’s already a problem that keeps showing up in our day-to-day, and we can’t understand why. Most of us were taught (directly or indirectly) that ignoring our needs makes us: More lovable More acceptable More “good” It doesn’t. It just makes you resentful. Here’s a real-life example, it’s 2pm. You’re hungry. Your body wants food, specifically spinach and artichoke dip. Then comes the override of the adaptation, “I’ll just wait until my partner gets here.” “Oh, and they don’t like that, so I’ll make something else.” Four hours later, you’re eating soggy gluten-free pasta, irritated, and wondering why the sound of their chewing makes you want to scream. That’s not on them. That’s your own self-abandonment. That’s ignoring the very clear communication of hunger and desire for spinach and artichoke dip that was trying to get you to take action just hours earlier. And now, instead, your partner is on the receiving end of your resentment for something they had no participation in. How dare they? There is no award for needing the least. There is only resentment when you continue to ignore yourself and accept the breadcrumbs of the peanut butter and jelly sandwich of life when you deserve a big-ass plate from the whole freaking buffet. Let’s reframe: Caring for others is not equal abandoning yourself Giving should be a conscious choice, not a subconscious survival pattern Your needs deserve the same respect you give everyone else, if not more so. Start honoring them. Immediately. Clearly. Consistently. You’ll be a much better version of you, and people you love will want to connect. Connection is so much easier to maintain when all parties are aware of their own patterns, adaptations, and take accountability. That’s where joy can emerge out of love and authentic safety. Be the safe place for your feelings. Just by slowing down enough to hear them. Seek mentorship and coaching This human experience thing is not a completely solo mission. We are communal animals that thrive in communities. We are designed to help one another and to support each other's success. Lean on experienced coaches and mentors that you admire. The ones who walk the walk in their own lives. Love those humans. And if you are choosing between one coach versus another, always choose the coach who feels like more joy. Joy isn’t something you earn. It’s something you allow by: Listening to yourself Feeling your feelings Trusting your body and learning how it communicates its needs Updating and extracting old patterns And above all, choosing your Self, over and over again You don’t need another hack or test to tell you something you already know. You need a prioritized relationship with your joy and to remember how valuable a gift it is to truly feel. If you would like help with any of these big conversions or have a curiosity about medicine-guided wellness retreats, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to hear from you and get started on the greatest love affair of your lifetime. This is what it truly means to be human. This is what it means to be sentient. Lucky you. - Affordable Grief Support Doesn’t Mean Watered Down
Written by Karen Bulinski Mathison, CEO, Grief Coach & Death Doula Karen Bulinski Mathison is a grief coach, death doula, and CEO of The Naked Grief, blending deep expertise with lived experience to help others transform pain into meaning. Her work is raw, relatable, and rooted in real-life healing. Grief is already expensive. Not just in the obvious ways funeral costs, time off work, travel, paperwork, childcare, medical bills, the “I didn’t plan for this” expenses that show up like uninvited guests. Grief comes in quieter ways too. The brain fog that makes you miss deadlines, the nervous system exhaustion that turns simple tasks into mountains, the way your world gets smaller because you don’t have the bandwidth to keep explaining yourself. So when someone tells you support is only available if you can afford a big monthly price tag, a rigid schedule, or a high-pressure commitment, that's not “high value.” That’s another barrier. That’s why Karen Bulinski Mathison, founder of The Naked Grief, built her circles differently. “I built The Naked Grief circles to remove barriers, not create new ones,” she says. Accessibility shouldn’t be a luxury A lot of grief support options are out of reach for the people who need them most. Some are priced like a boutique experience. Some require you to show up at a specific time every week (as if grief politely respects calendars). Some are so clinical and sterile that you feel like a case study instead of a human. And some are genuinely helpful but still not accessible. “I’m not interested in building a system where support is reserved for ‘the people who can keep up,’” Karen says. “I’m interested in building something that meets you where you are.” Low cost doesn’t mean low quality The affordability of The Naked Grief circles isn’t a reflection of the work itself. Karen’s work sits at the intersection of real-world grief experience and a wide range of evidence-based and trauma-aware training. She holds a Master’s in Mental Health & Wellness with an emphasis on grief and bereavement, along with post-graduate coaching education and death doula training. Her continuing education spans cognitive and emotional tools (including CBT, REBT, EFT, and TFT), trauma-informed somatic life coaching and healing, and creative approaches like art-therapy-informed coaching, all grounded in practical, human support rather than clinical jargon. “Keeping costs low isn’t me underestimating my work,” Karen explains. “It’s me being clear about my mission.” She didn’t build these circles as a “cheap alternative.” She built them as a real, trauma-aware, practical place to land without the gatekeeping. The price point reflects efficiency and intention, not corner-cutting. Virtual delivery means she can keep overhead low and spend her energy building content, tools, and community instead of paying for a physical space. And it means members can access support on their own timeline. Grief doesn’t run on a strict schedule Some weeks you can show up. Some weeks you can’t. Some days you’re fine until you’re suddenly not. That’s why Karen keeps the circles virtual and designed for real life so members can engage when their nervous system has the capacity, not when a calendar says they “should.” “You don’t have to perform your healing on command,” she says. “You get to come back when you can.” The free-look model is confidence, not a gimmick Karen currently offers a 21-day free look inside Healing Hearts, and that includes access to the Grief Wisdom Circle content too. “Because I trust what I built,” she says. “I want you to be able to experience the quality, the community, and the tools before you ever spend a dollar.” Grief already makes you second-guess everything. Karen isn’t interested in adding “What if I waste money?” to anyone’s mental load. A free look removes pressure and gives people room to feel it out. And if it’s not for them, they walk away without regret. An entry point that helps you regain your footing For people who don’t know where to start but know they need something, Karen created an affordable entry point, Strength Wisdom Circle at $27/month. Unlike passive content you consume and forget, Strength Wisdom Circle is designed to be interactive, even though it’s virtual. It’s a place to stand when grief has rearranged your life and shrunk your sense of space. It’s structured enough to help members regain footing, rebuild confidence, and take up room again, without making support feel like another performance metric. Members can join month-to-month, and the content continues as long as they choose to stay because grief doesn’t follow a neat timeline, and support shouldn’t either. Ready to go deeper? The grief skills lab The circles touch on techniques lightly. But what if you want to actually understand them? The Grief Skills Lab ($54, one-time) is a 7-week deep dive into therapy techniques Karen uses, cognitive behavioral therapy, tapping (EFT), somatic techniques, REBT, art therapy approaches, and more. Each week unlocks a new technique so you can learn how to use it yourself during those sensitive times. It’s designed for people who want to move beyond “here’s a tool” to “here’s how I actually tap myself through this” or “here’s how I reframe that thought when it hits.” You get practical, hands-on skills you can apply immediately. This isn’t a full certification program (that’s for the specialists who focus strictly on those modalities). It’s the deeper dive that sits between the circles and expert-level training. You’ll understand what you’re doing and why, so you can tend to yourself when you need it most. The bigger picture: A launching pad, not a replacement These circles aren’t designed to replace specialized care. They’re designed to keep people from being alone while they’re sorting it out. They also include a monthly Heart Check—a simple, guided check-in that helps each member notice where they are, what might be coming, and what they need next. Sometimes your body knows before your mind does, and the Heart Check helps you name that early. Based on each person’s responses, the Heart Check may suggest shifting to a different circle for a few weeks, getting more consistent with the circle they’re in, or increasing engagement so they can receive more support. Those suggestions are individualized, based on the feedback each member provides. And it works both ways, the Heart Check also helps Karen see what the community is asking for, so she can build more of what people actually need. They’re a place to get grounded, find language for what’s happening, learn practical tools, and figure out what you need next. Sometimes what you need next is deeper 1:1 support. Sometimes it’s community. Sometimes it’s simply realizing you’re not “broken”, you’re grieving. The business philosophy: Serve more people, not extract more money Karen is mission-driven. Her approach is simple, give to receive. “Accessibility builds community. Community builds trust. Trust builds loyalty,” she says. “I’m not trying to squeeze the maximum revenue out of each person. I’m trying to make sure more people can afford to stay long enough for the support to actually matter.” Yes, some people will eventually want higher-touch support like individual coaching or specialized programs. That’s there when they’re ready. But the foundation stays the same, no gatekeeping, no pressure, just support. If you want to try this, here’s your next step If you’re curious, you can start with the free look. Karen currently offers a 21-day free look inside Healing Hearts (which includes Grief Wisdom Circle content too), so you can explore without pressure. Or, if you want a simple entry point that’s affordable and structured, start with Strength Wisdom Circle at $27/month for support as you rebuild confidence and take up space again. If you’re grieving something other than death, a breakup, job loss, empty nesting, a diagnosis, or any life-altering loss, Grief Wisdom Circle is available as a standalone option at $27/month. It’s designed specifically for grief-based coaching (not death-based), with weekly themed content that meets you where you are. Ready to understand the therapy techniques behind the work? Try the Grief Skills Lab at $54 (one-time, 7 weeks of dripped content). Either way, you don’t have to earn support. You just have to show up as you are. - Silver & Gold and the Alchemy of Human Experience in Homeopathy
Written by Jessica Almonte, The Seaweed Homeopath Jessica Almonte, The Seaweed Homeopath, is a homeschooling mother and practitioner who combines her love of the ocean with expertise in homeopathy, kinesiology and seaweed therapeutics. Living by the sea on Vancouver Island, she forages seaweed, cares for patients at Intuitive Movement Clinic, and advocates for the healing potential of seaweed. Throughout human history, silver and gold have carried meaning far beyond their material value. They have symbolized wealth and power, purity and corruption, the moon and the sun, the feminine and the masculine, intuition and authority. In homeopathy, these metals take on an even deeper significance. Through potentization, substances once prized for their physical brilliance are transformed into remedies that illuminate our fears, our identity, our despair, and our potential for transformation. Silver and gold are not only substances within the materia medica, but archetypes woven into the fabric of human experience. This transformation is rooted in the work of Samuel Hahnemann, who observed that substances capable of producing symptoms in a healthy person could, in highly diluted form, help resolve similar symptoms in someone who is unwell. This principle, often summarized as “like cures like,” forms the foundation of homeopathy. Rather than suppressing symptoms, the remedy mirrors the individual’s experience, gently stimulating the body’s ability to rebalance and heal. In his Organon of Medicine, Hahnemann further described how these potentized substances act not on the material body alone, but on the vital force, influencing the dynamic state of the individual. In this way, gold and silver are transformed from symbols of external value into remedies that speak directly to internal imbalance. Gold (aurum metallicum) The weight of purpose Gold has long been associated with the sun, kingship, and divine authority. Ancient civilizations adorned their rulers with gold not merely for beauty, but to reflect a perceived connection to something higher. This symbolism is mirrored very clearly in the remedy Aurum Metallicum. Aurum is a remedy that acts deeply on the mind, bones, and glands, often presenting with profound emotional suffering alongside physical pathology, particularly in degenerative or long-standing conditions.[1] What stands out most, however, is not simply pathology, but the internal experience of the person. Here, responsibility turns inward and becomes self-condemnation. Boericke describes a picture of feeling utter worthlessness, hopeless despair, and a sense of failure so deep it may lead to suicidal thoughts.[1] Boger expands this further, describing a melancholic state marked by anguish, restlessness, and even a longing for death, often tied to disappointment or a loss of purpose.[2] In practice, this often presents more quietly than expected. It may look like someone who has lost motivation, who feels there is no point in trying, or who describes their own mind as something that turns against them, pulling them back into dark or painful experiences. There is often a history of carrying a great deal. Many individuals needing Aurum have lived through trauma, loss, or prolonged periods of responsibility without adequate support. There is a strong moral center, a sense of being dependable or needing to be dependable, and when that identity fractures, the collapse is not superficial. It is existential. Mary Tyler often speaks to the nobility within remedies, and Aurum embodies this clearly. These are individuals with depth, sincerity, and a strong inner compass. Sankaran describes this as responsibility turning into failure, where the internal dialogue becomes harsh and absolute.[3] The person feels they have not fulfilled their role, and from there, their sense of self begins to erode. The body reflects the state The physical body reflects this experience with remarkable consistency. There is often a sensation of pressure or constriction. The head may feel heavy, as though weighed down, interfering with clarity and focus. The chest can feel tight, sometimes accompanied by palpitations or a sense of emotional heaviness. Coldness is common, particularly in the extremities, alongside poor circulation and easy bruising. Symptoms such as tinnitus, vertigo, and hair loss often appear in the context of prolonged emotional strain.[1] Aurum has a well-known affinity for the cardiovascular system, glands, and bones, particularly in conditions involving degeneration or deep pathology.[1] Modalities further reflect this inward, heavy pattern. Symptoms tend to worsen at night, especially from sunset to sunrise, and from cold. They are often relieved by warmth and gentle movement, suggesting that even small amounts of activation can interrupt the stagnation.[1] Clinical reflection In my homeopathic practice, what stands out with Aurum is not just the depth of the experience, but the shift that can happen when the right remedy is given. In one case, the person came in living with a heaviness that was difficult to ignore. There was a sense that life had lost its meaning, accompanied by low motivation and a quiet but persistent anxiety. She described a tightness around her head, almost like a pressure or weight, along with a general feeling of heaviness that affected both her thinking and her energy. Following a thorough case-taking process and remedy differentiation, Aurum was selected. After taking Aurum, the change was not dramatic in the way people sometimes expect, but it was clear. She began to feel more hopeful. There was more motivation to engage with daily life, even in small ways. The tightness around her head lifted, and the heaviness she had been experiencing began to dissolve. Her anxiety softened, becoming less constant and less overwhelming. The archetype of gold Gold, in the human psyche, represents the ideal self, the need for purpose, recognition, and moral integrity. When balanced, these individuals can be leaders, visionaries, and deeply reliable people. When imbalanced, these same qualities collapse inward. The person becomes both a judge and critic of themselves. The fall is not from external status, but from an internal standard that feels impossible to meet. Silver: Argentum Nitricum The instability of perception If gold is the sun, silver is the moon. It reflects rather than generates, and in doing so, becomes sensitive, perceptive, and easily influenced. Where Aurum is heavy and contracting, Argentum is expansive and unstable. Boericke describes Argentum Nitricum as having marked effects on the nervous system, producing anxiety, impulsiveness, and lack of coordination between thought and action.[1] Kent emphasizes the anticipatory nature of this anxiety, where symptoms arise not from present circumstances, but from what might happen.[4] Argentum individuals are often reacting to imagined outcomes with the same intensity as if they were real. There is frequently a paradox in this remedy. The mind is quick, perceptive, often creative and expressive, yet unable to stabilize itself. Thoughts move rapidly. Time feels distorted. There is a sense of urgency even when none exists. When the body follows the mind Clinically, this presents as anticipatory anxiety, impulsiveness, and a fear of losing control. There may be fears of crowds, enclosed spaces, or even an impulse to jump when looking down from heights.[4] The experience is not simply fear, but difficulty staying internally contained. The physical body mirrors this lack of containment. The digestive system is particularly affected, with diarrhea, bloating, and gas appearing in anticipation of events. Cravings for sweets are common and often aggravate symptoms. There may also be trembling, weakness, and vertigo, particularly when navigating space or looking downward.[1] Boericke notes this strong connection between the nervous system and these physical expressions. Modalities again reflect the underlying pattern. Symptoms are worse from heat, crowds, sweets, and anticipation, and better in open air or spacious environments.[1] There is a clear need for expansion, for room to breathe. From a Sankaran perspective, Argentum reflects a state of loss of control and structure, where the system cannot regulate itself.[3] Mary Tyler might describe this as sensitivity without grounding, a person who perceives deeply but lacks the stability to process and integrate those perceptions. Clinical reflection In practice, Argentum Nitricum presents very differently from Aurum. Where Aurum carries weight, Argentum carries movement that cannot settle. One of the clearest patterns I see is a person who has difficulty existing in the present moment. There is a constant sense of urgency, as though they are always slightly ahead of themselves. They describe feeling hurried, anxious, and restless, with a persistent pressure to complete tasks within a perceived timeframe, yet never feeling fully accomplished.[5] [6] This often creates what has been described as an “atmosphere of turbulence,” not only within themselves, but in the space around them.[5] Their thoughts can become intrusive and overwhelming, looping in a way that drives them to keep moving, both mentally and physically. Mary Tyler captures this beautifully, describing a state where the individual is tormented by thoughts until they feel compelled to walk quickly, almost to escape them, continuing until they are physically exhausted.[6] There is also a noticeable rigidity beneath the restlessness. Despite the hurried nature of the state, these individuals often try to maintain control through fixed ideas, routines, or specific ways of doing things. When this sense of control is challenged, anxiety increases, along with irritability and irrational fears.[4] Additional pressure tends to amplify the entire picture, leading to more agitation and less stability. Physically, this internal state often manifests through the nervous and digestive systems, but it can also appear in more subtle expressions of tension and resistance within the body, including throat constriction, nasal symptoms, and digestive irregularities.[7] [8] What becomes clear is that Argentum is not simply anxiety. It is a system that cannot settle, a mind that moves too quickly, and an ongoing attempt to regain control in the midst of internal instability. The archetype of silver Silver, in the human experience, represents the reflective mind, sensitivity to environment, and the tension between intuition and instability. When imbalanced, this becomes overthinking, anxiety about the future, and a sense of fragmentation. It is the experience of being too open, too perceptive, and too aware without enough grounding. Gold and silver across humanity Across cultures, gold and silver are rarely separated. They appear together in currency, religious artifacts, mythology through sun and moon symbolism, and in alchemy, where the transformation of base metals into gold represents spiritual evolution. In modern times, gold and silver continue to reflect these same themes, even within financial systems. Gold is often seen as a store of value, something stable, enduring, and trusted in times of uncertainty. It is turned to when there is fear of loss, inflation, or instability. Silver, while still valuable, tends to move more quickly and unpredictably, reflecting shifts in industry, demand, and speculation. There is something striking in this parallel. Gold holds steady, carrying weight and long-term value, much like the Aurum state, rooted in identity, purpose, and responsibility, and often expressed as the weight of the past or despair when something has been lost or failed. Silver fluctuates, responding rapidly to external forces, much like the Argentum state, where perception, sensitivity, and anticipation dominate, often expressed as anxiety about what might happen next. Together, they map an axis within human suffering. One is rooted in the past and what cannot be repaired. The other is oriented toward the future and what cannot be controlled. Closing reflection What becomes clear in practice is how common these states are. Most people will recognize moments of both. The weight of responsibility that becomes too heavy to carry. The racing mind that moves faster than the present moment can hold. Homeopathy offers a way to recognize these patterns not as pathology alone, but as expressions of imbalance that can be gently supported back toward equilibrium. Gold and silver, in this sense, are not just remedies, but reflections of human experience. Follow me on Instagram , LinkedIn , and visit my website for more info! - Chaos to Clarity – How Leaders Can Stay Grounded in Uncertain Times
Written by Roberto Usenich, Founder, Chief Emotional Futurist & Therapist Roberto Usenich is the founder of ARIVO.ONLINE, a platform blending AI-powered healing with emotional intelligence. With expertise in neuroscience and digital strategy, he helps individuals and organizations navigate emotional challenges, empowering leaders to lead with empathy and resilience. In a world where uncertainty has become the norm, the most effective leaders are not those who control chaos, but those who can remain grounded within it. This article explores how emotional intelligence and inner clarity are redefining leadership, turning disruption into an opportunity for deeper connection, resilience, and purposeful action. When the world steps back We are living in a moment when the familiar dissolves and the future keeps shifting just out of reach. But uncertainty is not the enemy, it is the invitation. Not to control more, but to feel more. Not to predict the future, but to become the kind of leader who can walk into it with presence and an unshakable inner center. This is the shift. This is the new blueprint for leading in uncertain times. The human cost of fast-paced leadership The world now moves faster than the human nervous system was designed to handle. Leaders wake to inboxes full of urgency. Teams carry invisible storms behind polite smiles. Decisions are made before clarity has time to arrive. A leader cannot bring clarity to others while drowning in internal chaos. This is not a weakness. It is biology, humanity, and the truth we’ve been taught to ignore. Emotional intelligence – The strategic advantage in uncertain times For years, emotional intelligence was treated as a soft skill. Today, it is a competitive infrastructure. Emotionally intelligent leaders: Listen beneath the words Sense the emotional temperature of a room Make decisions from presence, not panic Build trust without demanding it Turn conflict into connection Hold steady when others shake This is not softness. This is strength refined into wisdom. The blueprint – How leaders rise through chaos Leaders who thrive in uncertainty cultivate different inner architectures: Create inner stillness before outer action. Clarity begins in the nervous system, not the mind. Anchor in purpose, not pressure. Purpose guides. Pressure blinds. Build systems that breathe. Rigid systems crack. Adaptive systems evolve. Speak with clarity that calms the room. Not louder. Not faster. Just truer. Cultivate psychological safety. People think best when they are not bracing for impact. The leader as an emotional architect The next era of leadership is not about charisma or dominance, it is about designing the emotional architecture of a culture. These leaders create: Rituals that steady the mind Conversations that open the heart Cultures where people feel seen Strategies that honor both logic and intuition Clarity is not a message. It is an atmosphere, built intentionally. Clarity – The new currency of leadership In uncertain times, people do not follow titles. They follow clarity. Clarity is alive, adaptive, and deeply human. It says, “I may not have all the answers, but I know who we are and how we will move.” Clarity turns fear into direction, confusion into coherence, and teams into communities. The future belongs to leaders who can feel The world is not asking for perfection, it is asking for presence. Leaders who can feel deeply without being overwhelmed, who can hold both the storm and the stillness, will define the next era. The blueprint is simple: Find your center. Lead from it. Build systems that reflect it. Let clarity become your legacy. This is how chaos becomes a teacher. This is how leaders become anchors. This is how the future is shaped, through emotional mastery and the courage to lead with an open heart. Begin your emotional discovery Ready to transform uncertainty into clarity? - Transformed Pain into Purpose and Now Empowers Others to Do the Same – Interview with Indre Ratkele
Indre Ratkele is a Success & Transformation Coach, the creator of the "I Am Ready" personal development course, and the author of "Master the Basics of Investing: A Practical Guide to Success." Drawing from her journey of overcoming harmful habits, self-doubt, and negativity, Indre helps individuals unlock the power of the subconscious mind and the 9 Environments of Success to create transformative change. Her mission is to guide others toward clarity, confidence, and a life of abundance through mindset alignment and practical strategies. Indre Ratkele, Editor-in-Chief, I Am Ready Magazine What inspired you to create “I Am Ready”? The inspiration for “I Am Ready” came from a deeply personal promise I made to myself, a kind of contract with the Universe. I vowed that if I could rise, heal, and overcome the darkest chapters of my life, then I would dedicate the rest of my life to helping others who feel trapped in similar pain. During those early healing days, I often visualized myself speaking to the Universe, imagining a future where I was strong mentally, physically, and emotionally, and able to help others. However, that vision was born from profound loss and loneliness. I not only battled addictions, but I also faced a lack of support from some of the people closest to me. Many couldn’t understand my struggles; some even dismissed or judged me harshly when I tried to open up. This lack of support added an extra layer of pain and made the path to healing even more challenging. For many years, I was stuck in toxic habits, living an unfulfilled life and constantly seeking validation. I reached a point where I understood that my bad habits would destroy me, and my career would fade away if I didn’t start looking for a way out of these cycles. But as a single mother, I felt so much shame in speaking about it. I kept it to myself until the pain became unbearable. Yet, this adversity only fueled my determination. Instead of allowing others’ judgments to define me, I transformed that pain into a powerful force for change. I understood deeply why many people relapse into old patterns despite wanting to break free, because overcoming pain without support is incredibly hard. That understanding became the foundation of my purpose: to be the unwavering support for those on their own journeys to healing and transformation. I transformed all my pain and people’s judgment into the power of change. I didn’t want to be the person they described me as. It touched me so much, but each time, it made me even stronger until it made me unstoppable. I now feel a purpose to show people that any pain they feel can be used to change their life for the better. If we look at many successful people, we often see that they’ve gone through the darkest times in their past, been broken, damaged, but they’ve turned that pain into the creation of amazing new lives. What does success mean to you? To me, success is far more than external markers like career achievements or financial wealth. True success begins internally by living authentically and aligned with your values and soul’s purpose. It means taking full responsibility for your life, your thoughts, and your actions, and feeling proud of the person you are becoming. When you cultivate this inner success, everything else, career, money, lifestyle, flows naturally. Success is freedom: the freedom to live your truth and design a life that resonates with your deepest self, rather than conforming to external expectations. How do you support people through your work? My mission is to help people recognize that their struggles do not define them, and that they are not alone even in their darkest moments. I understand that healing is a process; sometimes people need to fully experience their pain before they can let it go. I offer tools and guidance that meet people where they are, without judgment. My approach is compassionate and practical, helping individuals reframe their mindset step by step, so they can gradually shift away from harmful patterns. Transformation starts with a single thought, and from there, hope grows. I help people recognize the signs of their turning point, the moment when the pain of staying the same outweighs the fear of change. That moment is sacred. It’s where real healing begins. I remember sitting on my sofa, feeling completely lost, and yet something in my soul remembered. It remembered why it came here. That moment changed everything. Even though I was broken, I knew my pain had a purpose. I was meant to experience the darkness so I could rise and help others do the same. Tell us more about your course, “I Am Ready.” “I Am Ready” is much more than a course to overcome harmful habits; it’s a deeply personal and transformative journey rooted in my own experience of pain, healing, and awakening. It’s a guided path for those who feel stuck, unseen, or overwhelmed by negative patterns and emotional wounds. My mission is to help people recognize that their struggles do not define them, and that they are not alone even in their darkest moments. Healing is not linear. Sometimes, we need to fully sit with our pain before we can release it. I understand this deeply, because I’ve lived it. This 9-module course is built on the science of neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to rewire and transform itself. But beyond the science, it’s about the heart. I offer practical tools and soulful guidance that meet people exactly where they are. There is no judgment, only space to grow, shift, and rise. The course also explores the Nine Environments of You, a model that helps you recognize the interconnected areas of your life that influence your mindset and wellbeing: your physical surroundings, relationships, habits, spiritual space, emotional triggers, financial life, internal beliefs, learning environments, and the community you engage with. Acknowledging and addressing these environments provides clarity and holistic growth that lasts. The program includes video trainings, meditations, subconscious reprogramming techniques, personalized affirmation guides, and reflective workbooks. Each module is intentionally designed to help people reconnect with themselves, release emotional blocks, and build new mental and emotional foundations. What makes this course unique is that it doesn’t just offer information, it facilitates transformation. It helps people recognize the sacred moment when the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the fear of change. That moment becomes the turning point, the beginning of real healing. I created this course for those who are ready to remember who they truly are. For those who, like I once did, sit on their sofa feeling broken, yet hear a quiet voice in their soul whisper, “You were made for more.” That voice is not lying. You are ready. Why do you emphasize working with the subconscious mind? The subconscious mind governs much of our behavior, often without our awareness. It holds the beliefs and patterns that drive our actions, sometimes keeping us stuck in cycles we don’t want. Real transformation requires addressing this deeper level of programming. My work uses science-backed techniques like neuroplasticity, combined with mindset coaching and meditative tools, to help people reprogram their subconscious. This empowers them to build new, healthier patterns from the inside out. What message would you give to someone currently in their darkest moment? If you are in your darkest moment, I want you to know: I see you. I have been there, and I understand how heavy that pain feels. But your presence here means you are seeking change, which is already a powerful step. Your pain has purpose. The strength you need to rise is already within you. You don’t need to have all the answers right now; just take one small step towards yourself, with kindness and patience. Believe that a better future is possible, and when you’re ready, reach out. You don’t have to walk this path alone. What is the first step you recommend someone take when they feel ready to begin their transformation journey? The first step is a conscious decision to choose yourself to say, “I am ready.” That declaration, no matter how small it feels, is the gateway to transformation. Begin with one simple action aligned with your desired life: it might be journaling, listening to a healing podcast, seeking guidance, or simply acknowledging your worth. Transformation is a process of intention, not perfection. Each step forward strengthens your commitment and opens the way to a new path of healing and empowerment. Indre’s five pillars for personal transformation Start listening to yourself: Focus inward. Ask yourself what you truly need emotionally, physically, and mentally. Even the smallest realization can spark a mindset shift. Acknowledge your current state: your needs, your habits, your beliefs, and your environment. Only when you have a full picture of your situation can you begin to create lasting change. Use your subconscious mind as a tool: Leverage the first and last few minutes of your day, just after waking and just before sleep, to reprogram your mind. These are the most powerful moments for influencing the subconscious. Repeat 1-2 positive affirmations aligned with the life you want. For example: “I am healthy. I live only with good routines. I surround myself with positive and supportive people.” Be open to change: As you work with your subconscious, the Universe will begin to present you with new people, opportunities, and situations. Keep your mind and heart open. Trust the process and welcome transformation with gratitude and courage. Identify your triggers: Understand what drives you toward toxic habits, relationships, or coping mechanisms. Often, addictions and destructive behaviors are just a response to unaddressed pain. Ask yourself what you're really trying to escape. Is it workplace stress? Feelings of unworthiness? Toxic relationships? Once you identify the root, you can begin true healing. Seek supportive connections: True transformation isn’t a solo journey. Once you’ve identified your pain points and triggers, seek guidance from people who uplift and understand you. Whether it’s a coach, community, or mentor, connect with those who’ve walked your path and can offer compassionate, honest support. - The Hidden Side of Transformation and What No One Tells You About the Journey
Written by Indre Ratkele, Editor-in-Chief, I Am Ready Magazine Indre Ratkele is a Success & Transformation Coach, the creator of "I am Ready," a personal development course and the author of "Master the Basics of Investing. A Practical Guide to Succcess." She helps individuals overcome harmful habits, align their mindset, and achieve personal and financial breakthroughs. Have you ever thrown yourself into personal growth with full commitment, only to feel more confused, isolated, or emotionally tested than ever before? If so, you are not alone. In today’s world, starting a personal development journey has never been easier. With Google searches, YouTube videos, AI tools, podcasts, and countless free resources, knowledge is right at our fingertips. More and more people are becoming aware, awakened, and inspired to grow. The world is buzzing with self-help advice, manifestation techniques, and healing strategies. But here’s what almost no one talks about: what happens after the excitement fades? What happens when you’re already deep into your transformation, and the journey isn’t as glamorous as social media made it seem? When the path gets lonely. When the Universe tests you again and again, not to punish you, but to refine you, to mold you into the highest version of yourself. This article isn’t just for beginners who are curious about growth. It’s for the ones already walking the path. The ones evolving. The ones navigating spiritual fatigue, emotional upheaval, or confusing, even painful, relationship shifts. If that’s you, this is your reminder: you are not lost, and you are not alone. Why starting is easy , but staying true is hard The starting line feels exciting, full of possibility and hope. You feel inspired, motivated, and determined to heal. You want to grow, to transform, to become the best version of yourself. And with so many tools available today, it feels effortless to dive in headfirst. I always say this: once you board the personal development train, there is no going back. You become fascinated, even addicted, to learning about yourself, your energy, your mind, and the secrets of the Universe. It’s an incredible feeling, but here’s the truth: the deeper you go, the harder it becomes to stay consistent. Why? Because the deeper your transformation, the more the Universe tests your commitment. These challenges are not a sign of failure, they’re proof that you are stepping into alignment. And alignment is not always easy. Growth isn’t all gratitude journals, meditation playlists, and positive affirmations. Sometimes growth looks like heartbreak. Sometimes it feels like isolation. Sometimes it means losing people you love, breaking apart old versions of yourself, and sitting with pain you thought you had buried forever. And yes, sometimes it feels like your entire world is falling apart before it finally comes together. The solitude that no one sees When I started my personal development journey, I didn’t just choose solitude; it chose me. Some of my closest relationships fell away. Others I had to walk away from. At the time, it felt heartbreaking and unfair. But now, looking back, I can honestly say it was one of the greatest blessings of my life. Thank you, Universe, for removing everything and everyone that no longer aligned with my growth. My healing began in silence, just me, my pain, and my will to survive. The only thing that kept me going was my son. He was my light, my reason to wake up each day, and the anchor that stopped me from giving up completely. I wanted to protect him from the pain I was feeling, but the truth is, my solitude affected him too. When I withdrew, he lost friendships as well. That was another layer of guilt I had to carry. For a year, I lived in darkness , navigating grief, searching for answers, and trying to piece myself back together. I cried. I doubted everything. I questioned whether life would ever feel good again. But slowly, through sheer determination and faith, I began to rise. Mentors like John Assaraf and Natasha Graziano became my guiding lights. Personal development programs, subconscious reprogramming, and daily meditation helped me shift my inner world. These practices didn’t just heal my wounds; they helped me rediscover my identity and finally find peace within myself. But here’s what most people don’t tell you: this journey doesn’t end. There is no finish line where you suddenly “know it all.” If you think you’ve arrived, you probably haven’t even started. Transformation is a lifelong process. We are energy, constantly evolving, vibrating, and interacting with the quantum field. There’s always more to learn about yourself and the Universe. Your only real job? Learn to enjoy the process. Embrace every lesson, every person, every experience, even the painful ones. Become like a river: flowing, trusting, moving forward with calm confidence, no matter the obstacles. Because the truth is, there will always be challenges. But the more you trust, the more you flow, the more life opens up in miraculous ways. The danger of getting lost in the tools You can read every book, attend every workshop, and follow the most brilliant teachers, but here’s the truth: if you’re not careful, you can lose yourself in the process. It’s easy to start chasing the next tool, the next mentor, or the next method, hoping it will finally “fix” everything. But your path is not meant to look like anyone else’s. We are all unique with different traumas, different lessons, and different timelines. Every mentor, every spiritual teacher has walked their own road. What worked for them may not work for you. And if you let others dictate your healing journey, you risk opening the door to more confusion and chaos. I learned this the hard way. There was a time when I ignored my intuition and handed my power over to others, thinking they knew better than me. I followed every instruction, every ritual, every piece of advice, but instead of feeling aligned, I felt lost. I disconnected from my truth. I ignored the signs my body and soul were giving me. And in the end, I found myself sitting with even more pain and the same unresolved wounds, plus disappointment and exhaustion. That experience taught me a powerful lesson: not every healer is meant to heal you. Not every teacher is meant to guide you. And the reason is simple: your journey is yours. No one knows your soul’s path better than you do. This is why I wrote this article: to remind you to trust yourself first. Yes, mentors and tools can be amazing. I’ve learned so much from incredible people and practices, but the most important guidance you’ll ever receive comes from within. When you silence that inner voice in favor of someone else’s authority, you disconnect from the very source of your power. If you take only one thing from this section, let it be this: stay anchored in yourself. Use tools as support, not as a replacement for your own wisdom. Because the biggest danger on this path isn’t failure, it’s losing the connection to who you truly are. When the universe tests you The moment you commit to growth, the Universe responds, not with comfort, but with challenges. People, situations, and experiences will appear that test your strength and your alignment. These aren’t punishments; they’re lessons. They’re invitations to rise higher. Ask yourself: Are you honoring your boundaries? Are you trusting your intuition, even when it’s hard? Are you living your truth, or someone else’s version of who you should be? I used to believe that every person who entered my life was a gift, a sign of support, love, and purpose. But over time, I learned the truth: not everyone is here to stay. Some people are teachers disguised as friends. Some come to mirror your unhealed wounds. They poke at the parts of you still craving validation, love, or approval. And that can feel painful even unbearable at times. But the purpose isn’t to break you. It’s to show you where the work still is. When you face these tests, it’s easy to slip into self-doubt: “Why is this happening?” “Am I doing something wrong?” But remember this: if the Universe is testing you, it’s because you’re ready to level up. You’re strong enough to face this lesson and grow from it. These tests often feel like loss: losing people, losing comfort, losing old versions of yourself. But every ending makes space for something greater. And every challenge carries a hidden message: stay true to yourself, no matter what. Self-worth is the ultimate lesson One of the most transformative lessons I’ve learned is about self-worth. Early on, I allowed people into my life too easily. I gave my love, trust, and energy freely, believing that everyone had pure intentions. But over time, I realized that not everyone operates from the same place of awareness. Some people bring lessons, not long-term companionship. Some reveal the areas of ourselves we still need to heal. Rather than seeing this as betrayal, I began to recognize it as divine design. The Universe was teaching me to choose myself first. It was showing me that self-worth isn’t about ego or pride; it’s about honoring your own energy, your boundaries, and your path. Every time someone disrespected my space or intentions, I learned an essential lesson about discernment, courage, and love – love for myself, not just for others. When someone in your life hurts or disrespects you, don’t view it as a failure. See it as a mirror, reflecting what still requires attention within yourself. How you respond to these situations is just as important as the lesson itself. You can set clear boundaries while responding with love and gratitude, acknowledging the role they played in your growth. This is how you prevent negative patterns from repeating and stop inviting unnecessary chaos into your life. The quicker you recognize, understand, and release what no longer serves you, the more empowered you become. And as you do, gratitude becomes a natural companion. You begin to see that people aren’t “good” or “bad” in themselves; they are instruments of learning, helping you refine your awareness, strength, and self-respect. The energy you put out into the Universe returns to you, so choosing love, clarity, and intention ensures that your growth continues in alignment with your highest self. Signs you’re losing yourself on the journey As you progress on your personal growth journey, it’s easy to become so focused on transformation that you start losing touch with yourself. Awareness of these signs is crucial, they are signals guiding you back to your own center. You might begin doubting your intuition. That quiet inner voice that once guided you may feel faint or uncertain. When this happens, it’s a signal to pause and reconnect with your inner wisdom rather than blindly following external advice. You may ignore physical discomfort or energetic fatigue. The body is your most immediate barometer of alignment. Exhaustion, tension, or illness can indicate that you are overextending your energy or giving it away too freely. You could start relying on others’ validation more than your own. Seeking approval is normal to an extent, but when it becomes the compass for your decisions, you risk losing the authenticity of your path. You may rush to trust or love before fully observing intentions. Sometimes your eagerness for connection can override caution, leaving you vulnerable to influences that aren’t aligned with your growth. These signs are not failures; they are guideposts. Each one offers an opportunity to step back, reflect, and recalibrate. They remind you that the most important relationship you have is with yourself. When you recognize these patterns and respond consciously, you preserve your energy, honor your path, and continue to grow in alignment with your highest truth. Not everyone is meant to stay As you evolve, you will meet people who feel aligned, inspiring, or even spiritually elevated. Some will uplift you, while others will serve a different purpose. Not everyone is meant to stay in your life long-term, and recognizing this is an essential part of personal growth. I was and am tested constantly. Every season, new people enter my life, and in the beginning, I often believed they were my heroes, my lifelong friends, my people. But over time, I experienced many disappointments. Some weren’t honest, and some used me for their own purposes. It was painful, but now I understand the lessons they were teaching me: self-love, self-worth, trust in the Universe, trust in myself, and trust in my intuition. Once I fully understood these lessons, the Universe stopped sending me the same kinds of people for the same tests. Yes, I still meet new people, but now I observe their role in my life before fully opening my heart, home, and soul. I protect my peace and remain aware, continually learning and growing. Some people come into your life not to support or transform you, but to test you. Their presence may challenge your boundaries, trigger old wounds, or reveal areas where you still need healing. These encounters can be uncomfortable, even painful, but they carry important lessons about discernment, resilience, and personal growth. Pay attention to how you feel in their presence. Sometimes your body communicates more clearly than your mind: headaches, tension, fatigue, or a sense of heaviness are signals telling you something is out of alignment. Your intuition is trying to protect you and guide you toward what serves your highest good. Accepting that not everyone is meant to stay allows you to release relationships with gratitude rather than resentment. It creates space for people and experiences that truly align with your path, and it strengthens your ability to set healthy boundaries. Over time, this awareness helps you build a supportive, nourishing environment that reflects your growth and honors your journey. Protect your energy with these anchoring principles As you navigate your personal growth journey, protecting your energy becomes essential. The more aligned and aware you are, the more sensitive you become to outside influences. Learning to anchor yourself is not about shutting people out, but about creating a space where your inner guidance can flourish and your healing is honored. Trust your intuition over any strategy Your inner compass is more accurate than any external advice, strategy, or trend. Every time you listen and act on your instincts, you strengthen this internal guidance system, making it louder and clearer. Pause before giving your energy away You don’t owe anyone immediate access to your time, attention, or emotions. As healers, empaths, or simply conscious individuals, it’s natural to want to help others. But always give from overflow, not emptiness. Protecting your energy ensures that you remain grounded, focused, and resilient. Let people earn their place in your life Trust should build slowly. Avoid putting someone on a pedestal too quickly or rushing to share your heart. Observing actions, intentions, and alignment over time allows you to maintain clarity about who genuinely supports your growth and who may inadvertently or deliberately create disruption. Always check in with yourself Ask: Does this feel safe? Aligned? Authentic? Temporary happiness or excitement is not the same as lasting truth. Your inner experience is the most reliable barometer of whether someone, situation, or path serves your highest good. Final thoughts: You are not alone If no one has told you this today, let me: You are not behind. You are not broken. You are just becoming. I’ve failed many times, trusted the wrong people, ignored my gut, and abandoned my truth for someone else’s vision. But I’m still here. Stronger. Wiser. Clearer. And you will be too. Transformation doesn’t have to be perfect. Life doesn’t have to be easy. But the more you choose yourself, every day, the more powerful your healing becomes. Trust the signs. Ask for guidance. Anchor into your truth. You are never alone. Ready to step into your next chapter? - How To Overcome Limiting Beliefs And Reclaim Your Power
Have you ever felt like something invisible is holding you back? You work hard. You dream big. Or maybe... you're even afraid to dream at all. Maybe dreaming feels like a luxury – like a waste of time in a life filled with responsibilities: taking care of your family, working long hours, paying bills, just trying to survive. And yet, somewhere deep inside, a quiet voice whispers, “You’re not good enough.” Or “You’re not ready.” These aren't just fleeting thoughts. They are limiting beliefs – deeply rooted patterns that influence our choices, undermine our confidence, and shape the life we believe we're allowed to live. In this article, I want to show you how to recognize and rewire those beliefs, not through vague motivation, but with practical, real tools that have truly changed my life. This isn't a theory. It's a lived experience. These are the exact practices that helped me transform self-doubt into global visibility, build a thriving coaching business, and create a life I once believed was only possible for "other people." Why this matters Limiting beliefs cost us more than we realize. They quietly rob us of joy, ambition, love, and a sense of fulfillment. They shape our careers, relationships, health, and financial potential, often without us even noticing. Our beliefs become our blueprint for life, and unless we question and change them, we end up living by that same design, over and over again. These beliefs keep us stuck in survival mode, living paycheck to paycheck, chasing security instead of purpose. We seek validation from others, stay in jobs that no longer inspire us, and convince ourselves that making a change could lead to something worse. So we don’t risk it. We stay where it's familiar, inside the comfort zone we've built not for growth, but for safety. But here’s the truth: that “comfort” is often the cage. Limiting beliefs don’t just keep us safe, they keep us small. They stop us from trying, learning, expanding, and creating the life we truly want. And this isn’t just personal experience. Science backs it up. A 2019 study published in Frontiers in Psychology found that self-limiting beliefs significantly reduce motivation and make long-term goals harder to achieve, especially when those beliefs are formed early in life. Even more striking, they can alter our perception of what is realistically possible. What are limiting beliefs? Limiting beliefs are not just abstract ideas. They are the silent architects of our self-worth. They shape how we show up in the world, what we believe we deserve, and how we respond to challenges. Often, these beliefs are formed early in life through childhood experiences, repeated rejection, or unmet emotional needs. They sound like quiet but persistent whispers: “I’m not smart enough to succeed.” “People like me don’t get those kinds of opportunities.” “I’m too broken to change.” For me, these beliefs ran deep. I grew up feeling unwanted and invisible, especially in the presence of my stepfather, who never accepted me. As a child, I internalized the idea that I wasn’t enough, not lovable, not worthy, not seen. That belief system followed me into adulthood like a shadow. I became someone who constantly sought validation. I wanted to be seen, to be heard, to feel important, in my personal life, in my relationships, and especially in my career. I worked hard, overloaded myself with responsibilities, and chased achievements, all in hopes of finally feeling worthy. But deep down, I still felt empty. To quiet that inner void, I turned to alcohol, drugs, and unhealthy habits. These things gave me temporary relief, a moment where I could feel okay, even powerful. But that false comfort came at a heavy price. Over time, it turned into a full-blown addiction that nearly destroyed everything: my health, my relationships, and my sense of self. Looking back now, I see that it wasn’t just the substances. It was the why behind them. I was trying to escape the pain of unworthiness. I was numbing the shame and hiding from my own limiting beliefs. But healing began the moment I asked myself, What am I really trying to run from? and What would it look like to build a life where I didn’t need to numb myself to feel okay? That is where transformation begins. Not in perfection, but in the honest decision to face yourself. To stop believing the old stories. To rewrite your narrative, from pain to purpose. Where do limiting beliefs come from? Limiting beliefs are not part of who we truly are, they are learned. Most often, they begin in childhood, shaped by the people around us and the environment we grow up in. These messages get absorbed into the subconscious mind and start forming our internal reality, how we see ourselves, what we believe is possible, and what we think we deserve. Over time, they become the lens through which we interpret life. After years of battling low self-worth and unhealthy coping mechanisms, I began searching for something deeper. My turning point came a few years ago when I first started learning about the subconscious mind. I came across the work of John Assaraf, a leading expert in the field of brain science and personal transformation. His teachings, rooted in neuroscience, opened my eyes to how much of our behavior is driven by subconscious programming, up to 95 percent according to research. Through his programs and something he calls "Innercises," mental exercises designed to rewire the brain, I realized that change doesn’t come from willpower alone. It comes from reconditioning the subconscious mind. His work is based on the science of neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to form new connections and pathways, no matter your age or past. That understanding changed everything for me. I wasn’t broken. I was programmed. And that meant I could be reprogrammed. With time, commitment, and the right tools, I began to unlearn the beliefs that had kept me stuck, and replace them with new ones that supported my growth. That is when my reality began to shift. The power of the subconscious mind Neuroscience shows that the subconscious mind governs up to 95 percent of our actions, thoughts, and emotional responses. Much of what we do every day is driven by subconscious beliefs we are not even aware of. The good news is that our brains are adaptable. Through neuroplasticity, we can form new neural pathways and shift old belief systems. This is where true change happens, not through sheer willpower, but by reprogramming the subconscious mind. How to rewire limiting beliefs: Tools that work Here is the good news. Your beliefs are not fixed. You can reprogram them. You can retrain your subconscious mind, and in doing so, change your entire reality. The tools are simple, accessible, and incredibly powerful when used consistently: 1. Meditation Meditation helps quiet the mind and allows you to access deeper layers of the subconscious. Research from Harvard Medical School shows that regular meditation strengthens the prefrontal cortex and reduces the influence of the amygdala – the part of the brain that triggers fear and stress. I meditate first thing in the morning because that’s when the subconscious is most receptive. But meditating before sleep works too, as it lets you tap into the subconscious mind during the transition from wakefulness to sleep. 2. Affirmations Affirmations are more than just positive statements. They’re tools for reshaping your inner narrative. Studies show that self-affirmation activates the brain’s reward centers, reducing stress and reinforcing empowering beliefs. I use laminated affirmation cards, placing them around my home and office. This keeps positive messages in my line of sight, reminding me to repeat them consistently. 3. Scripting Scripting involves writing about your future as though it’s already happening. This activates the reticular activating system in the brain, which helps you focus on opportunities and behaviors that align with your goals. I’ve used this technique to write about my life as if it’s already happening, describing how I feel, what I’ve accomplished, and the person I’ve become. It’s a powerful way to create a clear mental picture of the future you want to manifest. 4. Embodying your future self This technique involves visualizing your future self and taking steps to embody that version of you today. Research shows that acting as if you are already the person you want to become increases persistence and goal achievement. I analyze how my future self thinks, behaves, and interacts with others. Then, I take small but intentional steps each day to align myself with that vision. 6. Consistency and repetition Rewiring your subconscious requires repetition, emotional involvement, and patience. This is not about being perfect – it is about being persistent. The integration of these practices into your daily life may initially seem simple, but their consistent application yields profound transformation. Backed by neuroscience and real-life evidence, these tools offer more than hope – they offer a pathway. When you begin to work with your mind instead of against it, your outer world starts to reflect the inner changes. This is how true, lasting empowerment begins. What becomes possible when you change your beliefs Since embarking on this transformative journey of inner work, my life has experienced profound shifts. I made the pivotal decision to step away from my full-time job and redirect my time, energy, and focus toward building my business and pursuing projects aligned with my purpose. This shift empowered me to create a career that is not only fulfilling but also deeply connected to what truly matters to me. Throughout this journey, I had the privilege of becoming an executive contributor for Brainz Magazine and collaborating with incredible individuals, which opened doors to meaningful opportunities and expanded my network. I also launched a podcast designed to empower individuals to reclaim their personal power. You can listen and subscribe here. However, the most profound transformation has occurred within me. I’ve come to understand that I am enough, and I no longer seek external approval or wait for permission to express my authentic self. I've learned to harmonize with my subconscious mind, unlocking the potential within me. Today, whenever I set a goal or envision a new future, I do so with confidence, knowing I have the ability to achieve whatever I set my mind to. I trust that when I am aligned, focused, and open, the right opportunities, people, and ideas will naturally flow into my life. This internal transformation has allowed me to develop skills I once believed were beyond my reach. I mastered the art of investing, which has become a consistent source of income. I even wrote a book on the subject, available for free on my website as a gift to you. I also created a transformative personal development course and founded the Bold Souls Community, a space where courageous individuals walk the path of growth and purpose together. Since shifting my focus toward purpose-driven projects, I’ve been drawn to like-minded, high-level individuals. Today, I am fortunate to collaborate with inspiring people worldwide, united in our mission to elevate others and create lasting change. This shift is not simply about external accomplishments. It is deeply rooted in internal alignment. I am actively learning to work with my subconscious mind to build and sustain a healthier, more intentional life, one grounded in self-awareness and free from negativity, limiting habits, or outdated beliefs. Each morning, I engage in mental practices that reshape my thinking, visualizing myself as vibrant, strong, and clear-minded, with days filled with clarity and purpose. This discipline has supported my evolution, helping me move away from dependencies, whether on substances, toxic relationships, or outdated belief systems, toward a life based on freedom, empowerment, and integrity. I no longer seek an escape because I have found a sense of home within myself. I’ve discovered my power and now live from it. And this is exactly what I want for you, too. My mission is to help others who were once in the same place I was, searching for a way out, needing support, and lacking the guidance I didn’t have at that time. I aim to be the person I needed when I was struggling, offering tools, wisdom, and encouragement to empower others to become the best version of themselves. - The 9 Environments of Success and a Blueprint for Transforming Your Life
Written by Indre Ratkele, Editor-in-Chief, I Am Ready Magazine Indre Ratkele is a Success & Transformation Coach, the creator of "I am Ready," a personal development course and the author of "Master the Basics of Investing. A Practical Guide to Succcess." She helps individuals overcome harmful habits, align their mindset, and achieve personal and financial breakthroughs. Have you ever invested in personal development, only to find yourself stuck in old patterns? It’s a common experience. While mindset is important, it’s only part of the equation. Your environment, relationships, habits, finances, health, and emotional state often have a greater influence on your success than you may realise. The 9 Environments of Success framework provides a holistic view. It encourages you to assess not only how you think but the broader conditions you live in. Each environment either supports or holds back your progress. When they align with your goals, growth becomes far more achievable. My own journey began about three years ago. I believed I understood self-improvement, but I quickly realised how little I knew. Changing even one environment, whether mental, physical, or emotional, required more awareness and effort than I expected. The process was challenging but life-changing. Success isn’t just about discipline or positive thinking. It’s about intentionally shaping the world around you to support your ambitions. Once you recognise how your environments affect you, you can begin to redesign them and your life. The power to change starts with awareness. Let’s begin exploring these environments together. Keep reading. What are The 9 Environments of Success? 1. You as the core For years, I struggled with the feeling that I wasn’t "good enough." This belief, rooted in my childhood, shaped my choices and relationships. Growing up with a stepfather who never accepted me, I often felt like an outsider. I wasn’t often included at the breakfast table, reinforcing the feeling of exclusion and unworthiness. Despite these challenges, I became independent, self-reliant, and determined to prove my worth. Beneath that strength, however, was a deep yearning for validation. I longed for someone to affirm that I was lovable and worthy. This need for validation led me to trust others too easily, only to learn that not everyone’s intentions were sincere. It also affected my personal relationships, as I often overlooked my own needs and tried to protect my child from the feelings of rejection I had experienced as a child. It wasn't until I paused to reflect that I realized how much of my life had been shaped by inherited beliefs. My subconscious was following a script written by family, culture, and society, not by me. If you've ever felt stuck, you’re not alone. Change is possible. Our identities are shaped by what we absorb: family patterns, societal norms, and personal experiences. As children, we accept our environment as the foundation for what’s possible in life, forming beliefs that may not even be ours. A critical question to ask is: Are these beliefs truly mine? Many of us live by unexamined beliefs passed down through generations. True growth happens when we challenge these limiting beliefs and stay open to new perspectives. Reflect: Who are you beyond what you’ve been told to be? Are your choices truly your own, or are they echoes of someone else’s expectations? Transformation starts when we release beliefs that no longer serve us. Identify one belief that may not be yours. Ask yourself: Where did it come from? Does it support me or hold me back? Action step: Reframe it into something empowering, like shifting “I must please everyone to be loved” to “I am worthy of love just as I am.” Repeat it daily until it becomes your truth. 2. Your body Your body is the vessel that carries you toward success. When it’s neglected, everything else suffers energy, focus, motivation, and even emotional balance. I learned this the hard way. For years, I struggled with unhealthy habits like drinking wine and occasionally using drugs. On the surface, I appeared to be a single mother with a thriving career and a full life. But inside, I felt empty. I didn’t truly love myself, and if I had, I wouldn’t have stayed stuck in destructive patterns or toxic relationships for so long. Change didn’t happen overnight. Even after I began exploring personal development and the subconscious mind, releasing myself from those habits took time and came with setbacks. I approached things unconventionally. I started talking openly about topics many shy away from, asking difficult but important questions: Why are you in these habits? Are you celebrating life, or are you running from it? Are you masking emotional pain day by day, unknowingly deepening your dependency? Addiction doesn’t always look like hard drugs. It can be alcohol, antidepressants, or even seemingly harmless behaviors. Are you using substances as a reward or as a crutch? There’s a big difference. I don’t label everything as simply bad. In certain contexts, with the right mindset, people, and reasons, choices can be intentional. But I speak from painful experience: substances can open the door to emotional chaos. Many will understand, even if few are ready to speak about it. If you’ve ever crossed that line, you know how dangerous it can become. What you see, feel, and hear in those moments can take over and not everyone finds a way back. I’m grateful I did. One of the key reasons I created my personal development course was to offer guidance to those who feel stuck in similar cycles. I want to help others break the silence, face their struggles, and empower them to release destructive habits for good. My turning point came when I stopped judging myself and practiced patience. My mentor once told me that growth isn’t about being perfect; it’s about how you respond when you fall. Every relapse became an opportunity to reflect. I’d ask: What triggered this? Was it stress, certain people, or emotional pain? Over time, I began to see patterns. Once I understood the root causes, I began to break the cycle with increasing ease. Habits, positive or negative, shape our physical and mental health. Overcoming harmful habits isn’t about raw willpower; it’s about replacing them with healthier alternatives. For me, that meant journaling, regular movement, and surrounding myself with uplifting energy. Rewiring your mind takes time, patience, and compassion. Start by asking: Why do I repeat this? What am I avoiding? Is this habit covering up stress, pain, or lack of fulfillment? When I accepted that many of my actions came from emotional emptiness, I could begin to choose differently intentionally. The next step is building new, supportive routines: daily exercise, creative outlets, meaningful conversations. Keep it simple. Use affirmations like: “I am healthy. I choose positive habits. I live a fulfilling life.” Repeating this daily helps reprogram your subconscious and reinforces a stronger self-image. Action step: Prioritize the basics hydration, movement, and quality sleep. These are not luxuries; they are the foundation of sustainable physical and emotional health. 3. Self Are you truly living as your authentic self, or are you shaped by the expectations of others? Take a moment to reflect: Have you embraced your unique talents and gifts, or have you been living in alignment with what others, like your parents or society, expected of you? Consider whether your career path was a decision you made for yourself or one that was influenced by others. Did your parents choose your direction, or did you follow a strong, independent calling? Reflect on these questions and answer them honestly. Personal growth is an ongoing journey. Your emotions, strengths, and mindset shape your daily choices. The more self-aware you become, the better you can manage your emotions, develop resilience, and build confidence. Each day presents an opportunity to learn more about yourself, refine your goals, and grow in ways that align with your true values. Embracing challenges as part of the process helps you not only overcome obstacles but also deepens your understanding of your potential. Cultivating a growth mindset means viewing setbacks as lessons, which is essential for maintaining motivation and staying focused on long-term progress. Remember, growth isn’t a destination; it’s a continuous path where every small step contributes to your overall progress. For a long time, I was searching for my true path. I considered many roles, all while believing that accountancy was my main calling. In some ways, it is, but does it truly fulfill me? The truth is, it didn’t. Through my experiences, I’ve discovered my true purpose: to create and help others. I didn’t even know I had the courage to speak in front of three cameras while recording my 9-module personal development course in English, a language that’s not even my mother tongue. But the message I wanted to share was more important than any fears or insecurities. I believe that the courage I now possess was something I carried from a previous life, a talent that simply needed to be developed and nurtured. Action step: Practice daily self-reflection by journaling about your emotions, goals, and challenges. Identify areas where you feel empowered and those that need improvement. Consider what mindset shifts or actions can help you overcome limitations. Celebrate small victories along the way they all contribute to your growth. Over time, this practice will enhance your emotional intelligence and help you build a strong foundation of resilience and confidence. 4. Spiritual A strong sense of purpose drives lasting success. Whether through faith, meditation, or personal values, connecting to something greater offers direction and peace. Spirituality often serves as a bridge to discovering this purpose. Ask yourself: What is my true purpose in life? Each of us has a deeper reason for being, though it may not always be clear. Some are meant to heal, guide, or teach, while others grow through life’s lessons and pass that wisdom on. If you're unsure, look inward. What excites you? What persistent dreams remain, even if they seem unrealistic? Reflect on your childhood. What did you love to do? These early passions often reveal clues to your deeper purpose before the world told you who you “should” be. Whether it was singing, painting, or pretending to teach your toys, those interests reflected your authentic self. If you can’t remember, ask someone who knows you well. Even if these gifts weren’t nurtured, they’re not lost. Reconnect with what once brought you joy; it may reemerge as part of your purpose. For some, purpose comes through pain. If you’ve faced challenges like health struggles or addiction, your transformation might be your mission: to help others heal. Your story could be what someone else needs to hear. This is how I found my purpose: helping others overcome mindset issues and bad habits. I once questioned why I endured so much hardship. But I chose to believe in myself, to keep trying, and now I dedicate my life to helping others using the methods that worked for me. Your experiences weren’t random; they shaped who you are. Now, you can use them to guide others. We all have a unique purpose. The question is: Are you ready to embrace yours? Action step: Take a moment to reflect on your life’s experiences and passions. Write down any childhood interests or dreams that you once had. Then, ask yourself: How can I integrate these into my current life? What steps can I take today to align more with my true purpose? Start small, but commit to exploring and embracing your purpose one step at a time. 5. Relationships The people you surround yourself with shape your thoughts, habits, and energy. Uplifting relationships fuel your growth, while toxic ones can drain and limit you. Ask yourself: Do my relationships support my evolution? When you share a new idea or success, do they celebrate with you or dismiss it? How people respond to your growth says a lot about their role in your journey. But this isn’t just about others. Reflect inward: Are you also a supportive presence in the lives around you? Do you uplift others, or do certain interactions leave you feeling emotionally depleted? Staying in toxic relationships often stems from a fear of loneliness or low self-worth. I’ve made the difficult choice to walk away from environments that didn’t support me. Some people made the decision not to support me and distanced themselves. Yes, it was lonely at first, but that space eventually made room for healthier, more fulfilling connections. Consider whether your fear of being alone is holding you back from your growth. If so, it's time to revisit your values and self-worth. You deserve connections that honor who you are and where you’re going. The right relationships challenge you to evolve. They may not always agree with you, but they’ll support your dreams, offer honest perspectives, and encourage your decisions. Protect your energy. Set boundaries. And most importantly, surround yourself with people who believe in your potential. Action step: Reflect on your current relationships. Are they nourishing your growth or holding you back? Identify one connection that needs a boundary or shift, and take a step to create that space. 6. Network Your professional and social circles play a significant role in shaping your personal and career development. The right people can open doors to mentorship, collaboration, and growth, while the wrong ones can keep you stuck in stress and limitation. Your network includes not only friends and family but also colleagues, mentors, and the broader community. So ask yourself: Does your environment inspire growth? Do you feel motivated, or are you merely getting through the day, believing that work is meant to be draining? That mindset that work must be endured is outdated. Many of us were raised to accept a job for the paycheck, but as your mindset evolves, so should your standards. You spend a large portion of your life at work, and if it suppresses your growth, it affects all areas of your life. Only you can assess whether your environment aligns with your values and vision. I often asked myself: Does my work align with my life purpose? My job was incredibly supportive, offering countless opportunities for both professional and personal growth. It provided me with a platform to learn, evolve, and build valuable connections. Through this role, I developed important skills and grew in ways I’ll always be grateful for. But over time, my calling became clearer. I created a project aligned with my purpose, and as I invested in it, I realized my heart and mind weren’t fully engaged in my corporate role. I knew I had to step away to create space for my own evolution and for others to step into roles with fresh energy and motivation. I decided to take on a part-time job, which allowed me to dedicate more time to my project. This decision gave me the space to grow personally while providing others with the opportunity to bring new energy into the roles I left behind. Signs you may be in the wrong environment include feeling undervalued, unfulfilled promises of growth, or tasks that feel disconnected from purpose. If this resonates, it might be time to reassess whether your environment supports your evolution. The key question: How much do you value your growth and happiness? If your environment isn't supporting your evolution, it's essential to reflect on whether it's time to move on. It’s also important to distinguish between true misalignment and emotional reactions rooted in ego. The ego can make you feel unappreciated without reflecting on how you're showing up. Sometimes, growth can happen through deeper self-reflection. However, sometimes you've outgrown your role. Letting go creates space for someone else and allows you to realign with your full potential. Ask yourself: Would I still do this work with the same energy if money weren’t involved? If the answer is no, it may be time to reassess. Start expanding your network intentionally. Reach out to someone you admire, ask questions, and learn from them. Your future is shaped by the conversations you have, so connect with those who inspire and challenge you to grow into your highest self. Action step: Take a moment to reflect on your current professional environment. Does it inspire you to grow, or does it feel limiting? Ask yourself: How can I create more space for personal growth in my professional life? Consider reaching out to a mentor or role model for advice and perspective. Explore new ways to connect with individuals who share your values and can push you to evolve. Finally, think about one small change you can make in your work life to better align with your long-term purpose. 7. Financial Your mindset about money significantly influences your financial success. If you see money as scarce, it becomes harder to attract. However, adopting an abundance mindset allows financial opportunities to flow effortlessly. Money offers freedom: the freedom to invest in yourself, pursue your dreams, and build a life of security and fulfillment. The phrase “Money goes where energy flows” holds deep truth. Your financial situation, whether prosperous or struggling, mirrors your energy and beliefs. Every thought, word, and action either attracts or repels money. If you worry about money, focusing on lack or stressing over bills, you're reinforcing a scarcity mindset. Even before your paycheck arrives, thinking “It won’t be enough” can block money from flowing freely into your life. To improve your finances, start by identifying your limiting beliefs. Ask yourself: Do I believe I deserve more money? Do I trust wealth can come easily? Do I see money as a positive force? Do I view wealthy people as those who think differently about money? Beliefs about money often come from childhood experiences, such as hearing “Money is hard to earn.” Understanding your belief system allows you to reprogram your subconscious mind, replacing negative patterns with positive ones and unlocking greater opportunities. Personally, I once believed that having more than one source of income was difficult. But as I shifted my mindset, I started seeing new possibilities. Embracing the belief that I am worthy of financial success helped me diversify my income streams, which has brought me greater freedom and security. Gratitude is a powerful tool. Appreciate what you already have, and as you do, your energy attracts more abundance. Wealth is available to you it just requires believing in it and aligning your thoughts with an abundant mindset. Action step: Identify one limiting belief and rewrite it into an abundant mindset. Start practicing daily gratitude, and watch your financial reality shift. 8. Physical environment Your surroundings significantly influence your focus, energy, and creativity. A cluttered space creates mental chaos, while an organized, inspiring environment enhances productivity and well-being. A tidy home and workspace positively impact our lives, health, and motivation. However, many of us delay organizing spaces like garages, cabinets, or old cables, often spending more energy thinking about these tasks than doing them. In reality, the time spent thinking about them drains your energy more than the task itself. I encourage you to start by tackling the hardest tasks first. Once completed, you’ll feel more energized, positive, and focused on important matters instead of avoiding them. Decluttering can be difficult, especially when letting go of items. We often think, “Maybe I’ll need this one day,” but ask yourself: how often have you actually needed something you kept “just in case”? More often than not, these items are forgotten until you start cleaning. These unnecessary possessions old clothes, cables, furniture drain your energy and block new opportunities. Just as in life, you must clear space to welcome what you truly want. Holding onto the past leaves no room for the new. Make space for the new: Free up space for new clothes. Create room for new furniture or accessories. Remove items that no longer serve you. Before keeping an item, ask: Does it support my growth and energy? Why did I bring it into my life? Do I still use it? Your physical environment, including furniture and tools, should serve a positive purpose. Organize your space to make life smoother and more enjoyable. So, which space will you declutter first? Action step: Choose one space in your home or office that feels cluttered or disorganized. Start by removing at least five items that no longer serve you. As you clear the space, notice how you feel both physically and mentally. Take a moment to reflect: How does this decluttering process mirror your inner world? What new opportunities might open up now that you’ve created room for them? 9. Nature Spending time in nature recharges and resets both the mind and body. The natural world offers grounding energy, clarity, and inspiration that are essential for maintaining a positive outlook and a healthy mindset. It’s widely acknowledged that immersion in nature brings a sense of peace, motivation, and revitalization. For instance, the sun provides essential vitamin D, which is crucial for energy and overall health. In areas where sunlight is scarce, people often experience a dip in mood and energy, which can negatively impact their decision-making and overall well-being. Without adequate sunlight or fresh air, we often feel depleted, directly affecting the quality of our lives. Personally, I can’t imagine my life without my morning runs. No matter the season, even if it’s winter and freezing cold, I’m up at 6 a.m., running through my favorite woods nearby. Sometimes, I get up even earlier, at 4 or 5 a.m., to make time for both meditation and running. The energy and motivation I gain from this routine are unmatched. It provides me with a sense of strength and clarity that nothing else can offer. I also practice grounding, walking barefoot whenever possible to absorb energy directly from the earth. This simple connection with nature gives me an incredible sense of balance and rejuvenation. However, I should mention that I didn’t always have this habit. Just a few years ago, I would have preferred spending my time at a local pub rather than going outside for a walk. The idea of getting up early for meditation seemed unlikely at the time. But as soon as I began to change my habits and routines, I found that I could never imagine my life without these healthy practices anymore. They’ve shown me the true power that comes from connecting with nature and nurturing my mind and body with positive sources. Nature isn’t just limited to trees and forests; it's everywhere: in the seas, lakes, mountains, and even small local parks. All of these environments offer unique energy that we need to connect with in order to live a fulfilled life. If you’re unable to get outdoors often, consider bringing nature inside. Incorporating plants and flowers into your living or working spaces can help maintain that connection, even during the busiest times. Action Step: Spend at least 10 minutes in nature daily, whether it’s walking outside, sitting in a park, or simply opening a window to let in fresh air. It’s a simple yet powerful way to boost your energy and enhance your overall well-being. Transform your life with the 9 environments of success Success isn’t just about hard work; it’s about aligning your environments with your goals. - How a Chess Master Beats Wall Street
Written by Calvin Fu, Fintech Founder & Systems Architect | Jenacie A I Calvin Fu is the Founder & CEO of Jenacie AI, a fintech company creating automated trading systems for global markets. As a fintech founder and chess master, he applies long-term thinking to financial markets and business leadership. Most stories begin with opportunity. Calvin Fu began with adversity. Margin calls. Late-night doubt. Bank accounts wiped out. Debt accumulated faster than confidence. Rent became a monthly question mark. Nights were spent in a basement with a laptop, not chasing ambition, but confronting the consequences of decisions made with emotion. “I didn’t fail because I lacked intelligence,” he says. “I failed because I didn’t understand myself.” At that point, Calvin had nothing left. What broke him wasn’t just the money. It was the realization that he could no longer trust himself. That moment, raw and largely invisible to the outside world, would later define the philosophy behind one of fintech’s most quietly consequential companies, Jenacie AI. A chess mind wired for independence Calvin Fu never fit neatly into conventional paths. While studying at university, he felt alienated by what he describes as a system designed to produce instructions rather than creation. Compliance, credentials, and predictable careers held little appeal. Instead, he gravitated toward independence, toward environments where outcomes were earned through first-principle thinking. Before business, Calvin Fu was a chess player, becoming one of the youngest chess masters by consistently thinking several moves ahead. Chess was his language. Patience. Restraint. Knowing when not to move. But chess doesn’t pay the bills. Seeking a real-world arena governed by similar rules, Calvin entered the financial markets, drawn to another unforgiving system where logic, discipline, and psychological control determined survival. The descent When Calvin entered the markets, he brought confidence, curiosity, and technical aptitude. At first, it felt familiar. Patterns. Structure. Strategy. He won early. Too early. Trades worked. Accounts grew. For a moment, the system seemed solvable. That success bred certainty. Certainty turned into overconfidence. Overconfidence turned into leverage. Ten times leverage. Every day. Rules bent quietly. Risk limits stretched. Losses were answered with bigger bets instead of exits. Conviction slowly turned into compulsion. Then came the margin call. Eighty percent gone. Then ninety. Minutes later, the accounts vanished. To keep trading, he added more money. Again. And again. Until his bank account followed. There was nothing left to add. He couldn’t pay rent anymore. Calvin stepped away from the markets, and from much of the world around him. Friends noticed his absence before they understood it. Messages went unanswered. Familiar routines dissolved. He stopped showing up, not out of apathy, but exhaustion. He left New York quietly, disappeared into silence. He traveled to the Midwest, living near a family relative. He deleted his social media. Messages went unanswered. For the first time in years, there was no noise. And in that quiet, something unsettling appeared. The truth Calvin began to reflect. He recognized a pattern that had nothing to do with indicators or setups. He hadn’t failed because he lacked intelligence. He failed because intelligence collapses under emotion. Markets, he realized, don’t reward brilliance. They reward consistency. And consistency doesn’t come from motivation, confidence, or discipline in the moment. It comes from the system. Humans are excellent at designing rules and terrible at following them. Under stress, even the best plan dissolves into improvisation. He stopped trying to fix the market. He started studying himself. The shift Instead of asking what would happen next, he asked a quieter question: Why do humans break their own rules? The answer was simple. Emotion. “If a decision has to be made over and over again,” Calvin Fu says, “it probably shouldn’t be made by a human.” The idea became an obsession. He opened his laptop and began building, not a product, but a system. One that didn’t rely on confidence. One that couldn’t negotiate with fear or excitement. One that behaved the same on calm days and chaotic ones. Rules that could not be bent. Risk that could not be ignored. Execution that did not hesitate. Slowly, methodically, results stabilized. Then compounded. More importantly, so did his thinking. Building a system Calvin Fu didn’t return to the markets with renewed confidence. He returned with restraint. Data came first. Years of market behavior were collected. What mattered wasn’t prediction, but repeatability. From there came models, frameworks designed to recognize momentum and risk without emotion. Each assumption was tested, discarded, or refined. Rules were no longer guidelines; they became constraints. Highly liquid markets. Nasdaq futures. Clear rules. No improvisation. Automation wasn’t about going faster. It was about removing the temptation to interfere. As the system evolved, something else changed as well. His mind grew quieter. Not because outcomes were guaranteed, but because behaviour was no longer improvised. The birth of Jenacie That way of thinking didn’t fade when he returned to the markets. It hardened. Calvin Fu began to see the problem everywhere, not just in himself, but in others. Intelligent traders repeating the same mistakes. Talented people breaking their own rules under pressure. Not because they were reckless, but because they were human. The market wasn’t the enemy. Emotion was. Most trading tools assumed discipline. Most platforms handed people speed, leverage, and complexity, then asked them to remain calm while everything around them demanded reaction. Calvin saw the flaw. Humans were being asked to perform like machines, while machines were treated as optional accessories. So he reversed the roles. If consistency was the goal, behaviour had to be designed in advance. Decisions had to be made before emotion entered the room. Execution needed to be unified in a single system that didn’t rely on willpower. That insight became the foundation of his company, Jenacie AI. The mission Jenacie AI wasn’t created to help people trade more. It was created to help them interfere less. Calvin didn’t set out to build another indicator, signal service, or prediction engine. He had already learned that prediction was fragile. What endured was the process. Jenacie AI was designed as an all-in-one automated trading system, integrating strategy, execution, and risk management into a single platform. It wasn’t about making traders smarter. It was about making consistency unavoidable. Automation, in this context, wasn’t a shortcut. It was a boundary, a way to protect people from the moment they are most likely to betray their own plans. Everything Calvin Fu builds is defined not by what looks good in theory, but by what survives pressure. Most people try to do more. He chose to do less. Better. Slower. Consistently. “Short-term decisions happen under emotion,” Calvin Fu says. “Long-term decisions happen when you’re calm. My job is to design environments where calm is possible.” A broader ambition Today, Jenacie AI continues to expand automation across global markets. Calvin Fu is careful not to frame the company as a finished story. Markets evolve. Systems adapt. Leaders, he believes, must build frameworks that endure uncertainty. “The goal was never to predict the future,” he says. “It was to be ready for what comes next.” Connect with Calvin Fu via Jenacie , LinkedIn , or Instagram . - Leadership Starts At Home – What My Son Taught Me About Resilience, Advocacy, and Legacy
Written by Aaron Rusnak, Innovation Tennis Coach Aaron Rusnak is a 30-year tennis industry leader, mentor, and innovator recognized for shaping elite player and coach development through his forward-thinking methodologies, data-driven, and mentorship initiatives. Leadership is often associated with the workplace, titles, teams, and performance. But some of the most powerful lessons in leadership are learned far from the spotlight. For me, one of my greatest teachers has been my son. His journey has taught me about resilience, patience, advocacy, and what it truly means to lead when life becomes difficult. What does it mean for leadership to start at home? Leadership at home means showing up with consistency, love, courage, and example. It means understanding that the people closest to us are always learning from how we respond to adversity, stress, uncertainty, and change. We often think leadership is what we do publicly. In reality, some of our greatest leadership is revealed privately, in how we care for our family, how we fight for those we love, and how we handle the moments life did not prepare us for. When our journey began Before my son even reached first grade, my wife and I felt something was different. It wasn’t negative, just different. We began noticing that he processed the world in his own way. Learning did not come easily in the traditional sense, and there were moments of frustration and uncertainty for all of us. What followed was a long journey of evaluations, conversations, and searching for answers. Eventually, we were given clarity. He was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia. For many families, news like that can feel overwhelming. For us, it became an invitation, to listen more deeply, advocate more fiercely, and lead with more compassion. The fight many people never see One of the hardest parts of any family journey is that people often only see the surface. They do not see the meetings, the worry, or the exhaustion. They do not see the moments where you realize the system in place is not fully serving your child. There were times when my son was being pushed along instead of truly being understood. As parents, we had a choice, accept it, or fight for him. We chose to fight. We searched, advocated, worked with specialists, and kept asking questions until we found a path that made sense. That journey teaches sacrifice, persistence, and the kind of love that turns into action. What children learn by watching us Children do not just hear our words, they absorb our habits, our reactions, and our resilience. My son was not only receiving support from us, he was watching how we responded to challenge and whether we continued moving forward when things were hard. That is one of the deepest lessons I have learned. Leadership is not only what we say. It is what we model. The people who will always know how hard you worked are your family. Why resilience is a family legacy Our family sees the full picture, the early mornings, late nights, setbacks, and effort. That is why leadership at home matters so much. Our family is not just hearing our message, they are living inside our example. We always have a choice in how we respond Adversity is part of life. But no matter what we face, we always have a choice in how we respond. We can allow hardship to break us, or we can let it build us. I have always believed that difficult moments hold lessons if we are willing to look for them. What can I learn? How can I grow? How can I become better through this? The importance of meeting people where they are The breakthrough in our journey came when we found a school that truly understood my son. They met him where he was. That experience reinforced a belief I carry into coaching and leadership. Every individual is teaching us how to lead them, if we are willing to listen. What my son taught me about strength Through it all, my son kept going. He showed courage, resilience, and determination. He has taught me patience, humility, and empathy, and that advocacy is love in motion. The legacy we leave behind Our greatest legacy is not what we achieve in our careers. It lives in how we love our family, how we respond when life gets hard, and how we show up for the people who need us most. Practical takeaways Lead by example, your actions are always being observed. Listen first, understanding is the foundation of leadership. Choose your response, adversity can build you. Advocate with purpose, support those who rely on you. Value individuality, meet people where they are. Leadership, true leadership, starts at home. - Listening to the Quiet Whispers Within
Written by Susan F. Moody, Intuitive Business, Life, and Success Coach As a Life Mastery Certified Coach®, Susan integrates spirituality with practicality, guiding women to discover their unique Soul Goal™ and chart a personal path to success and happiness. Unlock your inner wisdom, align your heart with your mind, and uncover actionable steps that resonate with your authentic self. How often do we ignore the quiet whispers of our soul? Not because we don’t care, but because life is loud. Responsibilities, expectations, and distractions all compete for our attention, often drowning out the subtle nudges of our inner voice. And yet, that voice never disappears. It waits patiently, offering guidance in moments of stillness. Today, I’m inviting you to pause. Not to fix anything. Not to figure everything out. Just to create a moment of solitude where you can listen. Within each of us lives an inner wise woman, a steady, intuitive presence that knows what we need, even when our minds feel uncertain. She doesn’t shout. She doesn’t rush. She speaks in quiet truths and gentle invitations. The question is not whether she’s speaking. The question is whether we’re listening. Creating space to hear her voice Listening to your inner guidance requires intention. It asks for a willingness to step away from the noise and turn inward, even briefly. Find a moment, just a few minutes, where you can be alone. Breathe. Set aside expectations. Then ask a simple question, “What is it you want me to do?” Ask it without urgency. Without pressure. And most importantly, without judgment. Her response may come as a word, a feeling, an image, or a quiet sense of knowing. It may not be what you expected. It may feel surprisingly simple. Trust what arises. Your inner wise woman speaks in ways that feel aligned, not dramatic, not demanding, but clear in a calm, grounded way. The power of small, aligned action Once you’ve received her guidance, the next step is often where we hesitate. We assume that honouring our inner voice requires a bold leap or a grand gesture. It doesn’t. Alignment is built through small, intentional steps. A conversation. A boundary. A decision. A moment of honesty with yourself. Take one small action today that moves you in the direction she pointed towards. Then take another tomorrow. And another after that. Each step builds trust, between you and your intuition, between who you are and who you’re becoming. Momentum doesn’t come from doing everything at once. It comes from consistency rooted in clarity. Simple ways to practice listening and responding If you’d like to deepen this practice, try the following: Schedule regular moments of solitude. Even five quiet minutes can create space for insight. Write down what you hear. Seeing your inner guidance on paper helps validate it. Start smaller than you think you should. The smallest step is often the most sustainable. Notice how aligned action feels in your body. Ease, relief, or quiet confidence are often signs you’re on the right path. Release the need to have the entire path mapped out. Clarity often unfolds as you move. The wise woman says Your soul is always guiding you, patiently, consistently, and with deep wisdom. You don’t need to force clarity or rush the process. You simply need to listen, trust, and respond with care. So today, take a moment of solitude. Ask your inner wise woman what she’s asking of you. Then honour her, not with a grand declaration, but with one small, meaningful step. Alignment is not found all at once. It’s found step by step, choice by choice, as you walk the path you’re being called to take. Follow me on Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , and visit my website for more info! Read more from Susan F.
