  • Do You Wake up Happy – And The Next Morning Feel Overwhelmed – But Nothing In Your Life Changed?

Written by: Lynn MacDonald, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Magic tricks always seem to amaze me. Being an observant and watching with wonder can feel so bewildering and exciting at the same time. I gasp while watching with a keen eye when the assistant willingly enters into a box and the magician carefully slides swords that pierce through the opposite end. The magician opens the box, and the person pops out unscathed, smiling and waving, of course. Wink! The illusionary nature of magic, the best-kept secret that keeps you curious as you watch in amazement as though it’s real. Speaking of secrets, I have a secret. It’s what no one tells you. It isn’t anyone’s fault. Most people simply don’t know it. They aren’t aware of it. As always, we don’t know what we don’t know until we do. It’s hidden ; no one talks about it. It’s unbelievable, a miracle, actually revolutionary, in my opinion. This secret comes with tremendous unlimited benefits. It’s like hitting the lottery! Metaphorically speaking, of course. I must confess, I feel like I’ve struck gold with this secret. I can no longer hide it. It’s a tragedy that more people aren’t aware of it. If they were, more people would thrive living in their innate mental health, living their dreams, having their desired prosperous business, etc. Oh! Before I forget, non-serving habits would fade naturally. Yes, it’s that potent. It actually has the potential to transform the world, one person at a time. I describe it for me as though I’ve gotten astonishing amounts of freedom. Awakening genuine, authentic innate feelings of happiness, joy, peace, calm, contentment, wisdom, resilience, confidence, courage, creativity, enthusiasm, love, and understanding. The list doesn’t stop there, but I don’t want to overwhelm you. I know you will be perplexed and doubtful at first as you innocently initially go straight to the intellect to try to analyze and figure it out. No worries, you’re in good company. I did too, and my clients did too. You see, it’s a matter of the heart. As you know, knowing something from an intellectual level doesn’t have the power to transform your life. Just like that magic trick. I know when you gain your very own insights and realizations, you’ll have the keys to the illusion. You will no longer feel stuck and wondering, “How do I become more motivated?”, “How do I have less stress?”, “How do I stop hearing sugar call my name?”, “How do I have a better relationship with money?”, “How do I become more confident and procrastinate less?”, and “How do I stop feeling anxious?” Those big scandalous questions fade when you see that you too were living an illusion. Simply because of a misunderstanding of where your experience of life comes from. It’s through this misunderstanding you felt stuck, like something was missing, lacking, or wrong. Secretly, you’ve been overconsuming self-help books, free webinars, and googling to find out the mystical, magical questions. You know the “magic formula.” I’m curious, do you know where your experience of life comes from? Have you had a situation in your life where you responded very differently than someone else in the same situation? Do you feel happy on a sunny beautiful day but moments later feel sad? Do you wake up one day so excited then the next morning feeling overwhelmed and absolutely nothing in your life changed? Did you go through a difficult situation in your life feeling upset one minute, then later laughing with friends? As you continue your reading journey here, these questions will become crystal clear! I won’t keep you in suspense. Allow me to pull back the curtain just a bit so you can see some light. I will share what I have come to see by understanding through insights and realizations how our experience of life is created. I must warn you. It’s nothing like you’ve been living. I’ve come to see from a new level of understanding that my feelings give me absolutely zero information about my past, future, lacking confidence, money, weight, bank account, procrastination, imposture syndrome, things I haven’t done yet, my relationships, sugar, “difficult people,” habits etc. I know, a shocker! What? Feeling simply give me real-time feedback to the quality level of thinking I'm in at any given moment. That's it. There's nothing to analyze or figure out. I’ve come to see when I have a craving, when I don’t feel confident, or when I feel depressed. It’s because I believe my thinking in that moment to be true. The feelings I am experiencing are a result of my thinking. It doesn’t mean I have to feel like something is wrong. It’s simply coming from how I am using the power of thought, my psychology, in any given moment. Here’s the gold, when I know it’s my thought, it changes much quicker, I can get over it. When I don’t know and think it’s because of a person, situation, traffic, weather, the scale, dwindling bank account or circumstance, it’s harder for it to change easily. That’s it, nothing more. It’s ok to have the experience when you see it’s thought moving through you and knowing it will pass in the next moment. When I see what it really is, I am not hooked, I am not living in the illusion. The illusion of looking for a cause as we humans love to do. I simply notice being with the experience as it flows through me. I am soon connected back into my innate capacity of well-being, confidence, strength, courage, resilience, wisdom, creativity, power, etc. I’m back in the flow of life where I can create again, feel calmer, feel more peace, and navigate life with resilience. When I realized that something greater than me was responsible for generating thoughts within me moment to moment, I experience feelings in a whole new way never known before. I saw it was NOTHING like anything I've read in books or learned in classes. These books and classes were missing the spiritual nature of thought. Here’s what I’ve come to see. By understanding where my life experience comes from, I no longer need coping strategies such as reducing stress, top 5 tips on how to be more confident , and how to stop emotional eating, etc. As I wiped away the misunderstanding, clarity occurred . It’s from this place you have power . You live more from your truth, a place where you have all you need. What a relief! Pure freedom! You too, are being lived by the "powers that be ," whatever thought is being generated, you will experience. You will continue to experience it until your thinking changes. What an illusion! Why didn’t anyone ever tell me this? That’s why I am sharing this with you! Actually, this is GREAT news! Imagine if everyone in the world experienced these realizations into how our experience of life is created? I know we wouldn’t focus so much on trying to change what we think is a problem. More people would suffer less and thrive more. What if we just knew that our bodies feel feelings that move through us because thought creates those feelings, all temporary, passing, and fleeting? There’s nothing to do but gain an understanding. Those feelings we experience are simply a barometer of how we are thinking in any given moment. It’s from this understanding transformation occurs from the inside-out. What if we just allowed our feelings to point us back into the flow of life instead of looking for causes to blame someone or something? Sit with this and consider this without judgment. An open mind is primed for awareness, insights, growth, and evolution. Follow me on Facebook for more information! Read more from Lynn ! • The 5 Essential Pillars Your Business Needs To Succeed

Written by: Amber Barry, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. The marketing gurus all tell you, “Done is better than perfect!” “Get out of your comfort zone — you just have to put yourself out there!” “Share your freebies, drive traffic, get more subscribers!” So you try to comply. You put your offers together. You run some Facebook ads. You even get some people on your list, but no one is buying. You feel defeated. You give up on Facebook ads. You wonder if running a business is right for you and question whether you should give up. I know those feelings well because I’ve been there. I struggled with these concepts for the better part of a decade before the light bulb really clicked, and I could see the big picture. Now, as a business coach, I see a similar struggle in clarity with many of my new clients, so I know I’m not alone in this. The gurus are right, of course. At least to some extent. It is important to jump in, get started, and get uncomfortable, but the secret to success lies in building a strong foundation first. It's because it doesn’t make sense to spend time or money trying to drive traffic to a lead magnet opt-in or an offer if you don’t have the steps or systems in place to nurture and capitalize on your new leads once they step into your corner of the internet. Understanding the details and flow of how it all works together can help you implement the strategies your business needs to grow and thrive. In my guide, The GoGetters Framework , I boil it down into 5 essential pillars. 1. Client Clarity When you know your offers and their specific needs, writing your copy clearly becomes a lot easier. It also helps you craft offers that fit your audience's needs and create copy that resonates with them. 2. Consistent Content Showing up on social media consistently is a huge hurdle for many people, but it’s pretty mandatory these days for any business to have a social media presence. My advice: streamline it and weave in a solid strategy as often as possible. 3. No-Brainer Offer This can be a specific offer that you drive traffic to consistently, a tiered structure of offers in the same vein that starts at a low price point and goes into VIP pricing, or even a package deal — typically in one area of expertise. One of the biggest challenges I see people running into is trying to be all things for all people. Don’t do that. You have to be known for one thing before you can be known for multiple things. Make your mark first, and then expand. 4. Automated Funnels A funnel is an automated sequence of events that occurs to convert a new lead into a customer. There are many ways to do this. An example is social media ad > lead magnet > persuasive email sequence > sale. Automating it creates a consistent, cohesive message and makes it easier to test what's working and what isn't. It also ensures that you have a follow-up sequence in place to not spend money bringing in new leads that ultimately fall through the cracks. 5. Growth Strategy In the entrepreneurial world, growth is the name of the game! You're after consistent income — probably even more of it! Having a growth strategy, a system for testing and leveling-up, and basic knowledge of your KPI (Key Performance Indicators) is key. Missing this step can lead to wasted time and money, poor business decisions, and an overall uncertainty of moving your business forward. These pillars are your foundation — without them, your entire structure is likely to feel shaky, disjointed, and confusing. But here’s the thing: your business is only as strong as the foundation supporting it. When you take the time to identify the problem area and strengthen the foundation, your business can flourish and grow. If you’re feeling frustrated or defeated, please don’t give up. • Escaping Expectation and Living Authentically

Written by: Gabby Cole, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Each morning, Expectation wakes up and puts on her corporate mask. She slips into her carefully crafted mold of who she should be—of who everyone wants her to be—and leaves her true self and her own aspirations in a crumpled pile under the bed. At work, she is successful. She loves her work, and her coworkers love her. She has climbed the ranks and is checking off all the boxes of a list written for her by her mate, Society. Still, Expectation is starting to get uncomfortable. The mold is fitting tighter and the work is becoming less satisfying. A voice in the back of her head says something is missing. Something important. She tries to share it with her colleague, Fear, but Fear just says to stay under the radar. “You’re safe where you are. No one is questioning you. No one is judging you. You are not failing her. What more do you want?” For a long time in my life, I felt like this character of Expectation, and I think many other women have, too. The weight of opinions on what to do, how many children to have, how to raise them, what job to have, what to wear, what success should mean—it gets heavy. Despite having been able to find success in my career, there is always something pulling at the back of my mind telling me I am so close but not quite there. After the birth of my twins, I realized what I was seeking was authenticity. Yes, I wanted to be good at my job, but I also wanted to be a present mom that my girls could be proud of. I wanted to be true to myself first, and see how the rest of my life fell into place. Much like in the story above, Fear stood in my way at first. What would my coworkers think? What would the other moms think? What if bucking the status quo drew too much attention to me? Should I even rock the boat at all? Luckily for me , my heart would not quit. For me, there came the point where the feeling of wanting more out of life was so strong it was actually overwhelming. But it wasn’t overnight—in fact, it took eight years before I really started down the path towards authenticity. If you’re still reading, maybe it’s because you feel this way, too. Just by acknowledging you want change in your life, you’ve already taken the first step: Discovery. You’ve said (even if it’s only been to yourself in the quiet of your mind) that something is missing. This is the point where you have to make a decision. Now is the time to take control and redirect your trajectory. Become louder than the fear. I grew my self-assurance, and I finally found my purpose after accepting a sales position with a new company and then realizing that I had changed companies seven times in eight years. I had to pause to ask myself, “What am I truly looking for.” You may be asking, where do I begin? Know your worth So much easier said than done, but find things that bring you joy and fulfillment, and recognize that you were designed to be that happy all the time. You are worthy of enthusiasm, satisfaction, and love. Try journaling about what you love about yourself. What you’re good at, what you get excited about, and as you get to know yourself, treat yourself like your own best friend. Say only good things, and believe it. Surround yourself with people who know your worth There are enough nay-sayers in this world. If you have people who tell you it’s not worth it or you can’t do what you set your mind to—cut them out! Make your circle one of the people who love you for everything you are, and don’t focus on who you aren’t. And make sure you do the same for others. Live your truth every day Once you determine what your truth is, set out to do as many things as possible in service of that each day. If you want to start a business, spend an hour a day planning it out. If you want to spend more time with your family, set aside time for a special activity. Don’t let anything get in the way of what truly makes you happy. After a long eight years of struggling to figure out what it was I really wanted, I now have direction, drive, energy and purpose. Purpose, I discovered, was looking for all along. Knowing my purpose gave me the peace to pursue the path to peace in who I am. Wherever you are in your journey as a mom, in business, or as a woman just seeking herself, know that the first step towards becoming who you want to be is as simple as saying it out loud. Be okay with saying, “I don’t think I’m happy. I want a change.” The power to become your most authentic self is within your control. Are you ready to take that first step? • The Importance of Managing Your Emotional Intelligence

Written by: Awaz Ahmed, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to manage emotions in a positive way to eliminate or reduce stress, communicate effectively, practice empathy, and help overcome conflict. Emotional intelligence plays an important role in an individual's well-being. Unable to manage emotions may negatively impact mental health, impact relationships and organizations. Emotional intelligence has shown to be a very strong predictor of success and well-being. Often, our emotions get in the way of our behaviors: personal and professional. Therefore, the vital steps of managing your emotions are being self-aware, other awareness, self-management, and relationship management. What does this mean? Self-awareness refers to being aware of their own emotions and having personal power. Other awareness refers to having empathy and being aware of situations. Self-management refers to behavioral self-control, integrity, innovation, resilience, stress management, and imitative and bias for action. Lastly, relationship management refers to communication, interpersonal effectiveness, powerful influencing skills, conflict management, inspirational leadership, and building trust. Emotional intelligence is the ability to be aware of your emotions as well as those around, particularly in the moment, in order to manage ourselves and other relationships (ISEI, 2020). It seems complicated, but it’s that simple. We get caught up in the moment and forget to stop or reflect on what’s going on. It’s no surprise going through different emotions such as angry, upset, frustration, or happiness influences those around you without realizing it sometimes. Therefore, managing emotional intelligence is essential to an individual's personal and professional well-being. What techniques can you use to manage your emotions? I will teach you 3 easy techniques to use to manage your emotions: professional or personal emotions. 1. Permission Slips Technique. Permission slips allow you to feel how you’re feeling in a given time. Feeling upset, overwhelmed, stressed or frustrated? Task : write yourself a permission slip. Simply take a paper and write down, “I give you permission to be (insert emotion).” This allows you to manage your emotions by being aware and allowing yourself to feel the emotion because you’re giving yourself permission. Please note: if you’re a visual person: write your permission down . If you’re an auditory person: record your permission, and if you’re a kinesthetic person: write down the permission on a slip and stick it on something meaningful to you to feel. 2. Breathing Technique. This breathing technique helps reduce negative emotions and calms an individual during conflict. Task: Breath in for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds and exhale for 4 seconds for 4 times or as needed. Please Note: This can be done sitting or lying down. 3. Mood Tracker App Technique. The mood tracker app allows you to keep track of your emotions and create reports or overview of your different emotions. Please note: This isn’t practical for everyone and could be done as a personal mood journal instead. Institute for Social + Emotional Intelligence®, (2020). https://the-isei.com/home2.aspx . • Why You Need to Work on Your Personal Healing Before Hiring Your Next Business Coach

Written by: Viviana Di Leo, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. It's been 4 years now since I started this journey as a Coach, and I wished I had somebody told me this before hiring my business coaches. What has healing my life to do with business? Well, let me tell you, it has EVERYTHING to do with your business. If you are a coach, therapist, or service provider online, it is something you need to know before you hire your next business coach. Healing your life means understanding your own limitations that prevent you from reaching your potential and live with peace of mind and joy in your life. Heal your life means to stop questioning and being hard on yourself when you do not reach those financial goals. I loved each of my business coaches, do not get me wrong, they have taught me so much, and only now I can say I can enjoy working out the best strategies for me. But on every process, there was healing to be done, on past stories, on limiting beliefs, on insecurities and subconscious blocks. Nowadays, there are so many business coaches out there that you can become attracted by their sales pitch and get immersed in the next coaching program and jump from one to another without even noticing, and it's been a whole year or maybe more. If you are experiencing this, you need to stop and ask yourself whether it is the strategies that do not work or that you need to start working on yourself. If you do not stop to question yourself, you can end up frustrated and stressed out. I see this a lot! Following this, now, I want to give you more clarity on why you need to heal your life before working with your next business coach: 1. Your business clarity depends on you . Of course, they can guide you with their experience, but if you do not know what you want, with whom you want to work, your process behind your coaching, and where you envision your business to be, your business coach will not tell you this. They can ask questions and guide you, but you will end up changing things a million times without confidence and clarity on what you want. 2. Your limiting beliefs are yours , and no strategy will work unless you work on them. If you have deep subconscious limiting beliefs, there is a chance that you can put all the strategy together thinking who are you to get the clients, or what if it doesn’t work or I don’t deserve to have the business I dream and let me tell you this will happen. 3. If you don’t work on your self-esteem and self-worth and you look for a business coach to tell you what to do, you will end up getting one that will do that, and you will be doing what you are told to instead of what you believe in your heart you need to do. 4. If you are not self-confident, you will end up comparing your chapter one of your business with chapter 20 of someone and copying wrongly what they are doing. SELF-CONFIDENCE will not only give you the ability to rock on your business it will help you believe you can do it, and that is what makes the difference between the people that start a business and the people that stay in business. 5. Saying Yes to yourself and NO to the noise outside . You will learn what you need your business and success to look like. Maybe you don’t want or need to make 100.000 USD a year to feel successful, or maybe you do, but there are hidden blocks that prevent you from reaching those goals. 6. You will stop spending more than you earn. This is a huge one I have seen happen not only with myself but with clients. More if you believe in money is energy and to scale, you need to spend more to vibrate what you want to earn. This is something many “business gurus” are saying and believe is true. I can tell you that if there are stories with money you need to heal, this will not work, and you will get frustrated and blocked. In my case, there were stories I had with money that were deeply rooted in my first 5 years of life that only were reachable with Hypnosis . They had nothing to do with me but were stopping me from earning what I felt I deserved. 7. FOMO (Fear of missing out) hunts so many people because everything is moving so fast. It makes you do more than what you can or want to. Once you heal your relationship with yourself, you will understand that what you are looking for is external recognition and acceptance, which needs to come first from yourself. I am sure that we can find together many more reasons to work on yourself before hiring the next business coach. I am not telling you not to do it. I have my own business mentor myself, but I know what I want for my business and for my life to look like and will not end up following anyone else agenda as before. This has been a huge realization for me, and as I told you before, I wished I had done the work on myself before I got on the online world to prevent myself from bumping into the same stone, yet I know that was supposed to be my journey so I could share this with the world now. • I Didn’t Know I was Grieving – 3 Steps to Think About When Grieving

Written by: Alysha Smith, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Grief, arguably one of the strongest emotions human beings will experience in their lifetime. Every human being on the planet will experience grief at some point in their life. It is important to note that grief is unique for every individual and that ALL grief is valid. Typically, when asked, “what can humans grieve from,” the two most common responses are death and divorce. These two losses, in particular, are the most accepted and communicated within society. There are, however, over forty different types of loss that a person can experience throughout their lifetime (John James, Russell Friedman, 2009). This can lead to confusion for individuals who do not recognize or understand that they are, in fact, grieving. Prior to becoming a Greif Recovery Specialist, I didn’t really understand that I could grieve a living relationship. I didn’t understand that the feelings and emotions such as anger, bitterness, and resentment that I carried deep within my soul were, in fact, my response to grief and loss of trust in relationships. I didn’t know I was grieving, and therefore I lived with the pain, the anger, the bitterness, the resentment as opposed to healing from it for years upon years. I used band-aid fixes such as binging Netflix, playing sports, and eating food to release my pain and take my mind off my feelings. I realized that I was only “masking” my pain, anger, and bitterness to try and feel better on the surface, for a brief moment. Here is a list of situations that could produce feelings of grief that you may be unaware of: moving graduation retirement empty nest major health changes death of former partner financial changes breakup pet loss loss of trust/safety/control/identity Although grief is natural, normal, and will touch everyone at some point, grief itself is misunderstood, and people are ill-equipped to support grievers. Some forms of grief, such as loss of trust in relationships (with parents, partners, teachers, etc.), are unfortunately not recognized as a valid form of grief by society. In other words, it is not taken as seriously as death. The repercussions of this lack of understanding by society can be detrimental to the individual as they may be left feeling confused, unheard, and invalid. Step 1. When it comes to grief and loss, the first step is recognizing that we are, in fact, grieving. Now that you are aware of some of the life events that can create feelings of grief, I encourage you to check in with yourself, your emotions, and your triggers. Your triggers communicate that there is still healing required in that area of your life. Ask yourself how you are feeling on a cellular level. Maybe it’s heaviness, and maybe it’s darkness, maybe it’s heartache, maybe it’s deep-rooted anger that you have not been able to manage. Step 2. Once we have come to this recognition that we are, in fact, grieving the loss of something, we then require the proper tools to heal. We cannot open a can of soup with the spoon… we require the can opener. When it comes to healing our hearts, we also require proper tools to release and complete our pain. The keyword here is “complete.” We want to say goodbye to the pain and keep any beautiful, fond memories. So, check-in with yourself and ask, “what have I tried in the past to heal my pain, anger, sadness, heaviness, resentment etc.?”. Did your previous healing attempts leave you feeling transformed with nothing but love and gratitude in your heart? If the answer is no, please don’t give up! As a Grief Recovery Specialist, my mission is to educate society about grief and provide people with an action-oriented toolkit for releasing their pain and healing their hearts. Step 3. You and only you know your pain, meaning you get to make decisions for your life, for your healing, and your heart. Now that you have an awareness that you might, in fact, be grieving the loss of someone or something significant in your life, I would like to remind you to be extremely gentle with yourself while you complete your deep, inner healing work. You are important. You matter. You do not deserve to carry the pain with you any longer. It is no longer yours to carry. - Alysha Smith, The Grief Goddess For more information, follow me on Facebook and Instagram! • 6 Strategic Formula For Entrepreneurial Success and Productivity

Written by: Isaacoed Buchi Jamie, Guest Writer The 6 Key Strategic Moves of Jeff Bezos Success Progress Jeff Bezos, born in 1964, is the founder and CEO of the giant e-commerce Amazon. According to Forbes World’s real-time billionaire, he has a net worth of $182.4 billion. Bezos is typically the definition of a remarkable entrepreneur. His exceptionalism towards the tenets of entrepreneurship is practically overwhelming. No wonder the meteoric rise of Amazon, which is one of his world-class innovations, continually and rigorously emerged as the world’s dominant brand. He has confidently pulled through every market and competition darts and yet still stands out as being consistently ranked among the top three richest people in the world since 2017 up till this day. What kind of strategy does it take to become this successful? What kind of model or structure did Bezos set up to leave the competition far behind to reach such humongous heights of wealth and success and still be on top of the world’s richest people’s list? However, below is his listed 6 cohesive strategic golden formulas on how to achieve entrepreneurial success and productivity: 1. Discover your passion to invent and invest your soul in it. A business without passion lacks the propelling force needed to fuel resilience. Constant invention is the precursor for every innovation. It is very imperative that every entrepreneur must keep its brand's inventiveness afloat all the time to be able to keep its customer wondering in amazement. It isn't easy to satisfy customers, and that’s why the constant invention of new ideas concerning your brand needs to be flamed at all costs. Brainstorm on different ideas, think outside the box because a business that lacks innovation finds it difficult to please its customers to the fullest. The invention is really important to Bezos and his team. That’s why at Amazon, there is a constant invention of ideas on the product to please their insatiable customers. Although success might not always be guaranteed like this, but not inventing or innovating at all will lead to a total loss of opportunity to gain invaluable insight into how customers interact with your offering. 2. Putting customer-first mentality. In an interview with Charlie Rose, Bezos says: “We are not competitors obsessed, we are customer-obsessed. We start with the customer, and we work backward.” No matter the kind of product or service you are selling, you must keep your interest aligned with your customers. Jeff Bezos has always had a customer-first, and I come mindset, and that has been part of what has catapulted him to the level of success he is. He once said he believes focusing on what customers are saying is much more important for success than focusing on what competitors are doing. He often compares customer's feedback to company data to see where they misaligned because he knows that they are the bedrock of his every entrepreneurial exploit. Despite how high up his success ladder has plumaged over time, he never loses touch with the people he's serving. His customers are one of his top priorities, and that’s why even up till now, he still read emails from his public-inbox to keep tabs on how his brand is treating its customers. 3. Be a strategic opportunist Real success comes with high strategic inputs than mere opportunity. Being strategic means thinking through all plans, time to execute it and measure the progress against targets in alignment with the business vision and mission but being mere opportunistic means taking things as they come but being a strategic opportunist tends to balance ones ability to remain focused on long term vision while staying flexible enough to solve daily problems in recognition of new opportunities and that Jeff Bezos has explored all round without leaving any stone untouched. 4. Sticking to the vision with a long-lasting strategy Nothing good comes easy. Sticking to the vision of the business is certainly the best approach to building something that will last. Big ideas in business for entrepreneurs are often very obvious. Still, oftentimes, it is tough to maintain a firm grasp of the obvious, but sticking firmly to the business's vision and mission and patiently exploring different opportunities by being flexible in accepting new innovative ideas helps build a better service to your customers. Focus on the service's vision that you want to remain true for your customers over the decades. Just like Netflix, Verizon wireless, Facebook, and Amazon focus on increased reliability with streaming of better content, coverage, faster speed, and delivery, let your energy be invested to what your customers will always want to Enjoy in years to come. This idea can be summed up by the motto of Blue Origin, the space exploration company founded by Bezos: "Gradatim Ferociter," meaning "Step by Step ferociously" in English. 5. Be simple and invest wisely When Amazon went public in 1997, Jeff Bezos didn’t drop a ton of cash on a fancy new material acquisition like cars. Rather, he traded in his 1987 cherry blazer, which he used as a business run for a Honda Accord's post office delivery. His strategy for spending even when there is an underlying success is one of Amazon's central tenets despite him being the world’s richest man. He would rather invest in one agricultural or tech startups than riding an expensive car. 6. Spot and pounce on new trends Not only is Jeff Bezos an inventor, but he is also very keen on spotting out new trends in the market. He is open to new trends and isn’t afraid to try new things, like in 2013 when he bought the Washington Post. He understands that a shift in cultural or economic trends will create new entrepreneurial opportunities, which sometimes arise from technological advances. He knows when such signaled new market opportunities and didn’t hesitate to pounce on it. Follow me on Facebook , Instagram , Linkedin , and on my website . • Attracting More Money — It’s An Inside Job

Written by: Susan Francis, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. We can't avoid it. It's at the core of everything we do. On a daily basis, you need money to pay for food, shelter, or entertainment. Money makes the world go round. Even if you don't desire to have lots of it, you can’t avoid it. You need money to survive. If you desire more, though, if you have huge lofty goals and would love to have an abundance of money, this article is for you. Have you ever asked yourself, “How do I create more money?" Certainly, when I used to ask myself this question, it was always answered with “work harder.” When I moved to Sydney at 18, I had 3 jobs. While I was at Uni — full-time, I still worked 4 days a week. When I finally started my full-time job, I still worked another job on Saturdays. I have always worked hard. I believed that was what you needed to do. But in reality, no matter how hard I worked, I never had any more money in my bank account. Whatever I earned, I spent. Somewhere deep down, I had a belief that I would never be wealthy and that I had to work hard to get by. I was always left wanting more and wondering what I had to do to create it. How could I possibly work harder? Until I discovered the truth about money. Money is simply energy. What you believe about it and how you feel about it becomes your reality. Money is an inside job, always. It's far less about what you do and far more about how you feel and what you believe. You can't create wealth while you feel poor. You can't create abundance while feeling lack. You will always receive what you are a match to. If you desire to be wealthy and have an abundance of money, you need to shift how you feel about money. Whatever you believe about money is what will show up for you. It's energetically what you are a match to. Ask yourself, "What stories are you telling about money?" Is it that money is hard to make, I don't deserve a lot of money, or I’m not smart enough to be wealthy? Or is it that money flows to me easily, money is abundant, and I always have more than enough? If you’re not sure what you believe, take a look at your bank account because it reflects what you believe and how you feel about money. How much money you attract, keep, and flows to you is a reflection of your self-worth and value. If you feel deserving of divine compensation, if you feel you have something magical to offer the world and, in fact, that you are worthy of being wealthy, then you will attract people, circumstances, and opportunities to you that allow you to live out that belief. On the flip side, if you don't feel worthy of being wealthy, you don't feel confident that you have much value to offer, or you're afraid of being wealthy for fear of being judged or mismanaging your money, then you won't attract it to you. All of the power lies within. Money is internal; it's not external. I make far more money now and work far less since I have let go of the belief that money comes from hard work. Instead, I focus on the value I can add to the world, how I can help transform lives, and its value. I know I am worthy of receiving lots of money, and I know I have so much value to add. My bank account's difference had nothing to do with my actions and had everything to do with my beliefs and feelings around money. If you’re ready to shift your money stories and attract more abundance into your life, a great place to start is with gratitude. Have gratitude for the money you do have, all that it allows you to do, and how grateful you are for the money that is yet to come and all of the wonderful things you will be able to do with it. You get to decide how things go for you. The universe is abundant, and there is more wealth and abundance available for us all. Your only limit is what you allow yourself to receive. Activate the energy of feeling abundant and more abundance will flow. To learn more about this, you can listen to my podcast episode, (#8) Becoming Magnetic to Money. • Checklist for Starting a Coaching Business

Written by: Linda Evans , Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. So you think you want to start a solo coaching business? It can be very fun and rewarding... after you’ve laid the proper foundation for it to flourish. I’ve had my career coaching business, Launched by Linda, LLC , for 9 years. After being asked by many people how I got started and what advice I have for them, I decided to put together a checklist for individuals who are considering starting a coaching business. This checklist is not only to help you know what to do but also to help you honestly ask yourself if you really want to invest your time and resources in this endeavor. If you already have a coaching business, this checklist may help you improve it. My business has been an enriching addition to my full-time career in higher education career services, but I will be the first to tell you that I did things out of order. It worked for me, but I generally don’t suggest following in my footsteps. There is a better, more proper order I recommend. ($) indicates a financial investment, ($+) indicates recurring payments 1. Get proper training and credentials ($+) – Whatever area(s) of expertise you intend to coach in, be sure you have the necessary training, credentials, and/or experience to be competent and confident as a coach. You should also consider how you will continue your professional development through books, webinars, conferences, memberships, etc. 2. Create a business model – What services will you offer? How long will each session be? What will your fee structure be (i.e., standard rate or sliding scale)? Will you have discounted rates for packages? Who is your target audience? What location or platforms will you use to conduct your sessions? How will you schedule clients? Will you be open to calls, emails, or texts outside of coaching hours? Will you follow up with clients after sessions, and if so, at what frequency? 3. Create a business name – Will you use your personal name or create a business name? This will ideally never change even as your business evolves. Do an internet search to ensure it is not already in use by another coach. 4. Create a logo and brand look ($) – Hire an experienced graphic designer who can advise you on what kind of logos, fonts, and colors work well for your business. 5. Get professional photos ($) – Hire a photographer or barter your services for a set of professional quality photos for your website and marketing materials. Get various poses, including close-ups and whole-body shots, in landscape and portrait orientations. 6. Buy a website domain ($+) – Choose a website platform and purchase a domain (the .com address for your website). Ideally, it is just the name of your business, but if it’s already taken, you may consider renaming your business. 7. Design your website ($+) – Many platforms are easy to use, but if you don’t feel tech-savvy, it will be a worthwhile investment to hire a web designer. 8. Create a business email address ($) – Your website platform may allow you to create an email using your domain, or you can use another domain like Gmail or iCloud. 9. Set up a payment system – Some website platforms will have a built-in payment system for a small fee. You may also consider using free apps like Venmo or Paypal. 10. Create a company page on Linkedin – This will allow you to add it as a job under your Experience section with an official logo. You can also gain followers and post about your services on Linkedin through your official company page. 11. Create social media pages – Consider Facebook, Instagram, and whatever other platforms make sense for your target audience. 12. Create a marketing strategy ($+) – How will you attract new clients besides referrals? 13. Create a receipt template – This document confirms payment and the details of your sessions for each client. It is also a great way to reinforce your brand. The following steps are the best legal practices in the United States, most of which are for your protection in a highly litigious country. I highly recommend hiring a lawyer to assist with these processes. Laws in other countries will dictate other legal steps. 14. Register your business name ($) – Check the specific laws for your state and reserve your business name. 15. Buy a business license ($+) – Check your local laws for licensing your business; it may require annual renewal. 16. Form a Limited Liability Company ($) – Follow the specific process for forming an LLC in your state. This legal designation separates your business funds (revenue and costs) from your personal financial accounts, so if a dissatisfied coaching client ever sues you, it will not affect your personal finances. 17. Create a business bank account – Having a separate bank account for your business will allow you to benefit from the protection of your LLC. 18. Register for an EIN – The Employer Identification Number is issued by the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) to be used when paying taxes each year. 19. Prepare an Operating Agreement – Details your business’ financial and functional decisions, including rules, regulations, and provisions. 20. Prepare Privacy Policy and Terms of Use – Links to these 2 documents are usually located at the bottom of your website. The Privacy Policy states the ways your business gathers and uses clients’ data. The Terms of Use lists the things any user of your website tacitly agrees to by using your services. 21. Prepare Client Agreement – This is the contract you should have every client read and sign before beginning services. The International Coaching Federation (ICF) has a template you can download and edit, but make sure you also read and abide by their Code of Ethics. 22. Track all clients – Keep a detailed record of each client’s name, sessions, and payments for both financial and business improvement purposes. 23. File taxes yearly ($) – Be an honest taxpayer! It usually takes months or years to build up a coaching business that can sustain all your living expenses, so don’t quit your day job until you have received sufficient income for several months! When you have a business, and you are the only employee, your business and personal brands completely overlap—exercise deliberate intention for every decision and action to maximize your brand's value and reputation. • 3 Tools to Help You Know What You Desire

Written by: Sara Abaza, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. Knowing what we want from life is such a delicious path. Our desires give us the sensation of satisfaction, self-motivation, self-reliance, and self-awareness. They are the beautiful internalized-self we search to become. In this article, let me guide you to discover your true desires or manifest your desires if you are aware of them. As we head into the New Year, my main aim is to create this guide or help you achieve your desires. How to discover your truest desires intuitively. Stop being resistant towards your inspired thoughts. Stop doubting if you deserve them, whether they are good enough for you, and what others may think of them. Let me explain what an inspired thought is. It’s when you are alone or tapping into something that excites you. You receive a vision. It’s like a daydream of doing something, creating something, manifesting something, and it excites you. It makes you feel elated. Don’t deny these thoughts. These visions are your inspired thoughts. They are what your true-self desires. You have to practice the things you love and the things that make you feel good. It doesn’t matter how simple it is – from listening to music, jogging, going to the gym, painting, and singing. These are whatever that puts you in your space and makes you feel good. It will encourage your self-discovery. It will guide you to what your inner-self desires. Collaborate longer with the universe laws. In my previous article, I spoke about this, and I highly recommend that after reading this, go back and read Re-create yourself. This will help you learn about universal laws. Collaborating with the universe's laws allows you to expand your awareness of how your mind works and accept and decline thoughts. Remember, high elevated emotions are what allows your desires to be discovered. Thoughts are the main key behind every emotion and staying longer in high elevated emotion. This will allow you to complete your vision. Social awareness and perception. We’re not alone; we have to remember the influence of others and society. Friends, community, and family do impact us. Social awareness and perception builds a mindset made of steel. What happens around us is a self-reflection. The more you dig deep into what you are attracting around you, the more you will change your belief system. The core of your belief system holds you back from discovering your true potential and your true desires. Blaming and complaining about how things in the social community are will make you upset or tired. This switches your perception toward the negative. You attract people what you think about them, so remember your self-reflection is a reflection of you. There are so many choices in life. Your choices are momentum. They are based on the present moment only. You must be aware of how you are feeling. A good feeling takes you far away from your desires. It’s a process to understand and learn about yourself. In this part of the article, I want to highlight people who actually know what they want, people who have desires that set their soul on fire. It’s what makes them hungry to manifest their desires. I want to bring to your attention that physical actions are not creating desires. Desires are created by vibration matching to the desire of our universe to function in a vibrational form. The more you think of effort and actions, the more you distract yourself from the real power of your mind. As a human being, the real power of you is internal power, and it's represented through our emotions. Vibrations and frequencies that come from what you want and how you see it internally is where your desires manifest. This is a story that you’re creating internally. It requires a process, require matching vibration to it. Each individual has a different lifestyle, values, manners, and how we carry ourselves towards achieving them. Although there is a common path, it depends on who you are and where you are in your physical reality that makes your desires manifest. I’m going to share a few techniques and tools that help you to match your vibration to what you desire: 1. Writing or journaling. Divide them into five parts or areas such as health, fitness, career, financial freedom, and relationships. As you divide and write down specifically what you desire, your subconscious mind re-programs to where you are heading. A new direction of feelings and thoughts will choose a new face to the new belief system that manifests those desires. In journaling and writing, the more specific we are or, the more general we are, relies on how much we believe with positivity towards those desires. Journalism with dates give us the 'when' we expect the desires to happen. Journalism with 'how' is knowing what you can give to the universe so it can also give back to you. For example, I will serve humanity and fitness to create an amount of income monthly. Just try to be specific. I am also an honest, happy person who attracts beautiful, honest, successful relationships into my reality. It’s another exchange with the universe of what you deserve based on your values of who you are. As a self-reflection, so the universe answers you back. 2. Vision boards Knowing what you want and seeing it on a vision board emphasizes your desires as constant reminders. For example, you may want a house, a different career, or a specific amount of money; vision boards drive your mind's belief system to increase as you see it daily and visualize the story internally when you are looking at it. This allows them to manifest with greater ease. 3. Visualization and Imagination You have to choose a part of your day when you are the calmest – when you first wake up or before you sleep. See the story, smile at what you see. When your eyes are closed, feel the stories worth to the universe. Collaborate and join to create. It’s no fairytale. The power of your internal mind is what carries the physical reality. We are 99.9999 energy, and all our energy is cooked internally and manifests externally. 4. Meditation and quieting the mind The less thinking of daily stressors, the more creative you become. It is when you discover how you will attract your best momentum. In manifesting your desires, the more you think, the more you become analytical. Also, the more micromanaging your reality, the least power you gain to create. Quieting the mind is like giving your mind a break and allows it to reset. You can quiet your mind and meditate first thing in the morning to get ahead of your day. This will allow your stress level to decrease and stay in height elevated emotions longer during your day, and the result would be manifesting. 5. Trusting the process and planting the seed. Nothing can go from point A to point B without process trusting. The process means paying attention and awareness to all the little things that manifest and are being created around us. Gratitude makes you see how your process is actually manifesting one step at a time. You will notice all the little things towards your desires come true when you pay attention to the little things. Live your story that you are creating internally in your physical reality. Some call it "living as if," but let’s call it "living present future self." "Living as if" could create distraction and resistance, but remembering who you are becoming will make you always aware of your intentions and your energy that you are exchanging. I would love to remind you of the path of least resistance compared to effort and resistance. Strained choices that we make in momentum based on our ability to focus and trust. So, all the choices above to create your desires are based on where you are with your resistance and where you are with the least effort path. Are you a type that would visualize? Are you the type that would journalist are you the type that would daydream? At the end of the day, our differences could carry us to different hobbies, maybe every day, yet all of the above points will help you create your desires with ease. Having desires is our right in this universe. It aspires us. It’s what makes us different. It what makes us create a better life, not just for ourselves but for others. We all came here for a purpose. Your desires are your purpose given to your mind's process and given to the faith that all our desires have unlimited possibilities to create and manifest in the physical reality, live your daydream of life is the strength, faith, and love. You are the creator, and you are born with magnificent power. Use your power to serve you and reflect your desires as a light into our planet. I have dedicated a great course called Mindset Made of Steel. It will serve you a lot to understand desires and purpose visions, manifest and create, and live satisfied. Looking forward to see you as part of the course, looking forward to see you achieve your dreams with ease. To learn more, visit Sara's website and follow her on Instagram Read more from Sara! • Business and Leadership Coach Maggie Perotin about Her Business Results Accelerator Program

Maggie Perotin is a business and leadership coach, helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses without the overwhelm so they can live the life they want. Through her DREAM-PLAN-DO coaching model, she helps her clients reach their potential and get results while maintaining balance in life. Maggie has over 13 years of coaching and leadership experience in the corporate world in various domains. She holds a Masters Degree in International Relations, Facility Management Administration designation, and currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Jack Welch Management Institute. Maggie uses all her knowledge and experience to help entrepreneurs be strategic and creative in building a successful business and brand that attract their ideal clients. She is passionate about spending quality time with her blended family with four kids in the Canadian nature, traveling, self-development, and healthy cuisine of the world. Who is Maggie? From very early on, I always trusted my gut as far as BIG decisions go and would pursue them even if the loved ones around me would disapprove. I was born and raised in Poland. I'm probably the last generation who remembers the "joys" of the communist regime. Absurdities such as days-long line ups to stores that either didn't have anything or had merchandise that you didn't need or want other than trade it later for something else. Now, being raised in a humble environment wasn't all that bad. I never lacked safety, food, shelter, or love, and the rest we figured out as kids. Not having everything helped me become quite resourceful and creative. Dancing for 6 years in the folk and modern dance group helped with creativity as well. I entered university in new modern Poland and studied International Relations to become a European Union civil servant. I even signed up for an exam that would allow me to pursue this career but never attended because Canada came calling. I have been living in Canada since 2005 with my beautiful, blended family with 4 kids. We love nature, traveling, and just spending quality time together, preferably outside. I started my Canadian professional journey in the corporate world as a Customer Services Agents and, over the years, moved around in different positions to become Director of Operations. I lead a team of 25 people who is a heart supporting the dynamic operations of 400 others across North America. I love to be challenged, learn, and grow. That's why, as I turned 40 a couple of years ago, I had a thought hit me. At 40, I really have more than 2/3 of my independent adult life still to live. Let's not kid ourselves up until 20, or so we're very dependant on others. And given that the life expectancy will soon be 80, I have another 40 years to live! That very thought got me thinking about how I wanted to live going forward. What impact do I want to make on the world? I lived in my comfort zone, making 6 figures in a good corporate job, working with great people, and being exceptionally good at what I do. So that lead me to do something about my passion for empowering and growing people. It led me to start my own business coaching practice, Stairway to Leadership. What is it that you do for your clients? I help service-based women entrepreneurs attract consistently and paying clients online without overwhelm. Finding new clients is the # 1 challenge for all entrepreneurs and doing so consistently is even more challenging. However, if we want to build the life of our dreams while running a business of our dreams, having proven ways to generate consistent income is key. And guess, what? It can be done without the complex strategies that lead to overwhelm or burnout but with simplicity, balance, and fun! That's what I help my clients do through my Dream-PLAN-DO coaching model. Who should hire/work with you? A service-based woman entrepreneur committed and passionate about her business who believes in the power of self-development and: 1) Is realizing that she's unable to reach her dream goals on her own; or 2) Wants to get to hear dream goals faster; or 3) Doesn't want to waste time and energy to be figuring it out all by herself and wants a proven system and advice from an expert Tell us a little bit about your Business Results Accelerator program. It's my signature group coaching program that combines self-paced online learning through pre-recorded sessions (by me 😊) enhanced by regular live in-person individualized coaching and advice. This program is really a comprehensive one-stop-shop that provides you with everything you need to attract consistent clients and therefore make consistent income in your business: from online marketing, content creation, and sales to mindset, time management, and accountability. What is your big goal? Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? I see myself running a multiple 7-figures business where I train other business coaches to empower even more women to build their dream lives through their dream businesses. And just like now, 10% of the profits are donated to women from underprivileged backgrounds to empower them and their families. If someone wanted to get in touch with you, how do they find you? • Rising From The Ashes – 2020 The Road To A Higher Consciousness

Written by: Vicki Ravangard, Executive Contributor Executive Contributors at Brainz Magazine are handpicked and invited to contribute because of their knowledge and valuable insight within their area of expertise. 2020 has been a year that most people want to write off as a disaster for humanity, but what if all that is happening now was written in the stars? As I try to rationalize and understand what is happening in the world, combined with my Spiritual beliefs and perspective on higher consciousness, I want to share my thoughts with you (with the caveat that these are my own personal views and I am not a scientist!) In the simplest of terms, the Earth is raising its vibrational frequency, and humanity is being called to rise with her. This is causing the collapse of tradition created over hundreds of thousands of years in our civilization. It is the primary reason we are experiencing confusion and significant change in the world today. As Mother Earth is releasing all that is no longer serving the highest good of all, this is sending a shockwave through our global society, and I believe this is a good thing. This destruction has not been sent to destroy us but to help us understand, guide us back to love and unity, remember who we are, and help us see the truth from every perspective. Who are we? We are Spirits having a human experience on an infinite soul journey, and your soul is here in this body at this time with a unique mission and purpose to fulfill in this timeline. When the Spirit, soul, and body are working together to accomplish this mission, you will experience what I like to call spiritual alignment. I firmly believe that we have hand-picked our spiritual assignments in this lifetime to experience and understand things from a different perspective. So while there are elements of our journey that have been pre-determined before we even got here, we all have the freedom of choice when we arrive. It is up to us to remember what we signed ourselves up for to fulfill what we wanted to experience in this lifetime. For example, when you go to Subway and order a 6” sub, you have complete free-will to choose which bread you want, like cheese and toasted, meat or no meat, and a selection of toppings and sauces. You may have decided to go to Subway, but when you are there, you get to choose what goes in your sandwich, and it is the same concept as what we choose to do in our lives. How will you know if you are fulfilling your soul purpose? You will feel it in your body. The energetic vibration inside you creates your reality, from the thoughts in your mind to the emotions you feel in your body. These emotions become the expression of who you are and your perspective of the truth. Imagine a singer; the emotions are the expression of the soul’s experience through the words, while the spirit is the composer. Working together, they create a masterpiece that is brought to life with the instruments of the Universe – the body and then shared with the world using other tools such as technology, guitars etc. These thoughts & emotions often live in our subconscious, which have been stored since childhood, and they can reflect the pain and suffering that we have not healed from. So what happens if you are not expressing these emotions? When your mind or body blocks the expression of your emotions, you don’t understand the real reason why things are happening for you or why you are here. It creates a blockage of energy in your body. You become disconnected from the essence of who you truly are, you feel stuck and unable to move forward in your life, and it can also manifest in the body as sickness and disease. For example, perhaps your soul has been gifted with the voice of an angel that was sent here to change lives and bring joy to the masses through your message, but instead, you decided that you would rather be an accountant. That is your free will, and there is nothing anybody else can do to change it, except you. But don’t be surprised if you receive several messages, or obstacles, from the Universe trying to guide you in the direction of your true purpose. How can you break free from the chains and raise your consciousness? Nobody in the world can do this for you, but you, and it is one of the most important things to remember. There is no secret formula that will give you the answer. For me, it came from questioning all that I knew to be true around me in search of a deeper meaning. With that came an understanding of who I am at a soul level and realizing that I have a purpose far greater than I could have dreamed in this life. I will leave you with 7 key messages to guide you on your journey to a higher consciousness: The willingness to release judgment & recognize there is no right or wrong, just different perspectives of the truth Find a way to see yourself as equal to your idols. We all come from the same source; we are no better than anybody else. See yourself with compassion, witness where you have been stuck, and commit to heal and release all that no longer serves you. Create energetic boundaries around all that you have created and hold space for those who are not there yet with love & compassion. Take full responsibility for where you are now and reclaim your personal power by embracing your essence and deciding to make a change. Detach from the outcome of every situation and focus on the spiritual solution that serves the highest good of all. Commit to expanding on your soul journey by learning from your spiritual assignments and teaching others from where you are. Someone out there needs to hear your message and your unique experience. "Raising your consciousness is not a destination you will reach outside of yourself; it is about returning to the wholeness of you." History has formed our reality, but we are transforming our future with the decisions we make today. Remember who you are as One, soul spirit & body working together to return to love.
