The quality of life cannot be measured by the things we feel, see, hear or touch.

The key to live a quality life is to:

Read a book, it sharpens the mind

Why should we read a book when we now have ebooks? Is it because we are attached to our devices? Is it because we have been trained or taught that reading books are not practical anymore?

Exercise by taking a walk

It’s not just about walking, but it’s about being alive in our spirit, mind and soul. It’s about providing the energy to ourselves to take care of bodies, it’s about allowing our body to grow stronger, healthier and allow it to become more capable of living longer life.

Listen to what is being said – don't just respond

Why do we only listen to respond? Who taught us that and how has it become a practical way of communicating to someone? We do we allow people to talk over the top of us? Is it because they want to say what they want or are they actually communicating a message to us? Listening to what is being said it actually healthy, because it allows us to absorb what is being said, it allows us to think about what is being said, and it allows us to think of an alternative.

Feel the rhythm of music or the warmth of animals

Feeling the rhythm of the music is allowing your mind to dance to a tune, not by lessons but by sound. Feeling the music is a way of expression to communicate your dancing. Music is what makes us who we are, the beat, the sound the way it’s expressed. Feeling the warmth of animals is about appreciating the creation of furry, fuzzy, scaling whatever has been created for us to see. Animals are always gentle to us human beings, so why can’t we be gentle to them? Why do we allow hurt to other people to happen? Is it taught? Is it a thought? Is it just something we see and accept? Animals appreciate everything they have, they create the environments that we live in, they give us happiness, laughter and love. So why do we not love the people we have in our life? We do we not appreciate the time they make for us, whether it’s a email, a phone call or coming over to visit? Why do we need to make an appointment with people who check up on us, and want to know how are day is? Animals do not need appointments to check on how a human being is, it’s a sense.

The key to a quality life is to appreciate what we have, from the smallest to the largest amount.

Not in materialistic items such as cars, money or jewellery. Unfortunately, we as human beings tend to not appreciate the moments we have with people, we always look to have something more than someone else. We always look to compare with other people about the things we wish to have, the things we want, and the things we cannot have. Why is that? Why do we do this to ourselves? Why is it as human beings we always want the best of everything? Why are we unable to appreciate what is already in front of us? Why do we always need to compare ourselves with other people? Why is it we are affecting by the big things? We always go to social gatherings with friends but we can never make time for family. We always go to funerals when someone passes away, but we can never be there when they are alive. Why is that? Is there something that human nature tells us in our mind that we should not visit our family? Is there something consciously telling us ‘let’s do it later on’ or ‘let’s do it tomorrow’. Why do we wait to say something or do something later on? Why not do it right now? It is because we are afraid? Or is it because we have no money to do what we wanted to do? Or is it because we fear the unknown? What exactly is it? But appreciate the people we have in our lives, friends, family, the people we meet, and yes, they might come and go. Some pass on, some move away, and some we never meet again. We as human beings need to appreciate the time we have with people, some people say, ‘we will live long’, others say, ‘we only live once’, and one might say, ‘you never know how much time we truly have with each other’. So why is it we cannot appreciate the people we have, why is it we do not want to spend time with them when they are alive? But when they pass, we wish we had the time to see them or say something to them. Nothing on this earth is forever, so we really need to appreciate the moment we are living in. Appreciate the little things, and the time we have on this earth. For more info follow me on Instagram!
