I am the founder of The Simon Lau Centre. I was born in China and, from a young age, educated by Buddhist monks. This instilled in me the belief that the minds that coordinate the activities of violence can coordinate the activities of cooperation. Everyone has an equal right to eliminate suffering and seek happiness.

I have been a dedicated practitioner of Chinese Astrology for the best part of my adult life. After many years of practice and study, I have found that Chinese Astrology readings are essential to gaining a deeper understanding of our character and our true selves. These readings also provide a greater insight into how our past life karma influences our present situation, which is crucial to understanding the state our life is in and why we encounter the challenges we do.

Chinese Astrology is the collaboration of wisdom and spiritual intelligence, the result of the continuous efforts over thousands of years of dedicated practice, and the accumulation of that valuable summary of human experience. It is the system of knowledge that links other Chinese systems, such as Traditional Chinese (herbal) Medicine and Feng Shui, with the concepts of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements. Together, these allow us to interpret and understand our relationship with the universe we live in.
Chinese Astrology is deeply embedded in Chinese heritage; its roots are in the Chinese lunisolar calendar. Archaeological findings date some form of calendar study by the Chinese as far back as three-and-a-half thousand years ago. These ancient systems are now prevalent in Western culture, as people discover that the study of Chinese Astrology can help us to understand our own destiny much more clearly and therefore empower us to have a positive influence over our lives.
It all starts with your time and date of birth: together, these are the fundamental karmic code that allows me to unlock your basic constitution according to the Five Elements and ascertain which of these elements you require and which elements you must avoid. These elements relate to the most important areas of your life: your career and wealth, your health and dietary, as well as which people you are compatible with and which ones you aren’t compatible with in business, friendship, home life, and love.
Unlocking the five elements for Life guidance
1. Simon Lau life guidance
Astrology Readings are bespoke to you. Equipped with this deeper understanding of yourself, you will have the knowledge you need to discover your true potential and future contentment by making the right choices at the right time and becoming truly happy with who you are and the life you are living.
The journey of life is constantly changing and rearranging. Chinese Astrology readings are essential to gaining a deeper understanding of our character and our intrinsic self. The understanding you gain from one of these readings will empower you to enhance your life for the better, thus positively influencing your luck and fortune.
2. The journey
The journey is everything that is happening to us. It is the people we meet and the things we do in this lifetime. We may be destined to meet someone today, and this meeting (this effect) is the result of a seed (a cause) from our past. This interaction is a relational transaction that has resulted in karma debt, and each party is here to claim or pay it. The seed has presented us with a chance to meet, and though this has been predetermined, how we respond to it is entirely up to us. Even if we are hyperaware of this opportunity, psychological resilience and wisdom are not guaranteed. Just as the type of seed determines how the fruit reacts to external factors, how we react to this meeting is conditioned by our karma.
To change a potentially negative interaction into a positive one, we must first have the willpower and determination to overcome our old habits – habits that have been ingrained in us over many, many lifetimes. Without the willpower and determination to break out of our behavioural cycles, we simply repeat the interaction as laid out on our roadmap and will find ourselves in the same position next lifetime. This is why clarity of mind and heart is crucial. If our perception is clouded, we will react to situations instinctively, passively, as opposed to actively. How we react is not due to anything someone else has done, but instead, is due to what is internal, our confused self. We must learn to remove ourselves from the confusion caused by external factors, and respond to situations how we truly want to; in a considered way.
3. Competition
Comparing ourselves to others can only lead to a sense of discontent. It is an idealistic world if we can claim to be untainted by this. We often find ourselves in competition with others, whether we choose to or not. Knowing this, we should pick our battles and not fight the losing ones.
4. Attachment
Attachment to people, things, ideas, and desires can breed contempt and dissatisfaction. Upon first contact with something we like, we create positive associations with it. Naturally, we will want to continue this positive interaction and retain this feeling. This desire can generate longing, a sense of ownership, and attachment. Once we become accustomed to this feeling, we become threatened by the potential to lose it, and if it is lost, we become angry and may start to blame others. Attachment breeds suffering, which breeds unhappiness. In order to reduce the unhappiness caused by attachment, we need to first observe how we feel about something and then address it with the same psychological resilience and wisdom we brought to the initial encounter.
5. Happiness
Happiness is the absence of unhappiness. Unhappiness is the result of suffering. Suffering is caused by attachment. Happiness comes from the heart, and the state of our heart is reflected in our perception of the world.

I trained in martial arts and qigong. The discipline training became an invaluable tool to teach me how I could overcome my fear of violence and allow myself to perform in everyday life in a more spontaneous and constructive way. In keeping with the Warrior tradition, I have focused my life as much on being a healer as being a martial artist. I am a sincere practitioner of qigong, Chinese herbal medicine, and Chinese astrology, believing that physical, emotional, and spiritual health are essential for self-development and inner awareness. Everyone has the potential to improve and change because each new day represents a new life. Every hour of our time is a gift.
