What is your business and how do you help clients?

My business is Druwa Academy, where mothers are empowered to break free from feeling overwhelmed and exhausted in their multiple roles while ensuring their overall well-being of mind, body, soul, and spirit. I use natural, scientific, and medical concepts to explain in simple terms practical ways to avoid ill health and promote holistic well-being. I also give strategies, tactics, and tools to help mothers become more productive, create more time, and have more energy. This is made available by the provision of health talks on the Wellbeing 4 Mothers Show and social media platforms, speaking engagements, online courses, books, coaching, events, and membership programmes in the academy. What kind of audience do you target your business towards?

My business is all about empowering mothers. Who inspires you to be the best that you can be?

My children are my greatest inspiration to be the best version of me. Each and every day I learn from them as they learn from me. They are so insightful, and I enjoy having a fun, and loving relationship with them

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

I would like to change the way mothers perceive themselves through the eye of other people’s expectations. I want mothers to discover their true identity and the super powers they possess within that make them worthy, loved, able, and enough.

That is why I always say, ‘Every mum is a supermum, not because of the super things that she does but the superpowers she possesses within, And even on those days when she is under the duvet crying, she is a supermum’ I want to change this perception because many mothers are struggling with stress, overwhelm, and burnout because they are trying to meet other people’s expectations of them. They are trying to keep up with the standards set by family, cultural norms, and society. They are putting their well-being in the back seat when they should be putting their oxygen mask on first before helping others to do the same.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

The pivotal moment in my life that placed me on this path of coaching and empowering mothers started after I experienced tragedy in my personal life. When my father died a few years ago, my well-being took nosedive as I grieved the loss. As a single mother to 2 young children under the age of 5, who was also working full-time as a doctor and going through a traumatic relationship breakdown, the pressure was immense. I found myself feeling overwhelmed and exhausted all the time. My medical knowledge could not help me, and I knew that I needed a more holistic approach. Because of my multiple roles, I needed to find the energy and time-efficient methods to get my health and well-being back on track.

Out of necessity, I employed my inherited voracious appetite for learning. This enabled me to not only get my energy optimised, and my well-being back on track, but I was able to build my clinical, academic and entrepreneurial career while spending quality time with my children as I watched them thrive.

On a daily basis, I saw so many mothers who left their health and well-being unattended until it was in a state of crisis because they did not have the time to get it sorted and were facing challenges like I did. This kindled my desire to utilize my knowledge, skills, and expertise to empower more mothers with the energy and time-efficient methods I had used in my moment of crisis.

Hence, I started coaching, teaching, organizing events, and writing materials, including my bestselling book,

‘Every Mum Is A Supermum: Breaking Free From Overwhelm And Exhaustion. This has transformed the lives of so many mums who feel empowered to achieve more without sacrificing their health and wellbeing.
