Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

Hello, I’m Eric Hall. I have been working in this field for over 17 years has been board certified licensed since 2017 as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) in North Carolina. I obtained my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC). In addition, I have a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Fayetteville State University (FSU). I’m on the National Association for Social Workers (NASW) board and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).

I started Creative Minds Healthcare, PLLC after 4 years ago.  . I established the business with the hopes of creating change in our community. I’m a people person that enjoys what I do. I’m a family man with a wife (Monique Hall), and 3 daughters (Takira, Erica and Emonie Hall).

My passion is helping others and I enjoy the game of football. Outside of mental health and substance use counseling, I’m also the defensive coordinator for football at 71st High School, Fayetteville, NC.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

Losing my father (Jerry Lee Wall) at the age of 11, my sister (Dorothy Michelle Hall) and I watched my mother (Thomasina Wall) seek help mentally and emotionally for our family but in the small town of Hamlet NC services or resources just really wasn’t there or we didn’t know how to access them. Seeing her struggle to find help at times made me feel helpless, and often times I witnessed her being depressed. Honestly, before I knew anything about this profession, I just wanted to help others in similar situations to ours. Our family was able to survive those tough times and remain close to this very day.

Tell us about your greatest career achievement so far.

My greatest achievement outside was receiving my Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) from the University of Southern California which at the time was the number one social work program in the nation. It was the first step to getting me on track to one day having my own private practice.

Tell us about your business.

We are a private practice, and we are proud to say we just received our 3-year Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation. This achievement is an indication that our organization is dedicated and committed to providing and improving quality services to the individuals and families we serve.

Our Mission is, “Empowering youth and adults to make positive changes in their lives.”

We accept Self-Pay, Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, CHAMPVA, Medcost, Medicare, Tricare and United Healthcare.

Can you provide an overview of the services offered by Creative Minds Healthcare, PLLC?

Creative Minds provides Behavioral Health services, including mental and substance abuse counseling. We provide outpatient counseling services to children, adolescents, adults and families. The agency also provides Marriage Counseling, Clinical Supervision, Test Prep (LCSW and LCAS) and Drum therapy. I specialize in Diagnostic Assessment, Comprehensive Clinical Assessment, Substance Abuse Assessment, Child Mental Health, Adolescent Mental Health, Adult Mental Health, Child Developmental Disabilities, Adolescent Developmental Disabilities, Adult Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse Counseling, Military Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling and Educational Counseling.

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

The stigma against mental health. I feel it prevents many people from seeking the help that they need. In most cases, getting counseling usually helps the person end up in a better place and oftentimes even saves lives.

Could you share your vision, how individuals have benefited from the services, and thoughts for others in need?

I started in the field of counseling in hopes of creating change in the community. Since starting in the field of counseling, I have dedicated my time and effort to making a positive impact in the lives served. I’ve seen kids go to graduate high school and college, and some even make it to play professional sports. I have worked with young men and women that are also now counselors themselves.

I often challenge others to get the help they need just as I would myself. If you are experiencing any life difficulties or challenges that seem too hard to overcome, I am available to assist and guide you through whatever your concerns may be.

Reaching out for help sometimes can be difficult but it’s the first step to your success. I encourage you to take that first step and let’s move forward together! My personal belief is that everyone can continue to get better no matter the situation.

Best way to reach out:
