A lot of entrepreneurs and business owners step into this world because they crave “freedom”.

What does freedom mean to you? What would be your vision of ultimate freedom?

Maybe it means fewer days chained to your desk, more time with your kids, and freedom to indulge in vacations and adventures. Perhaps freedom to you is the ability to work when you want, how you want, and with who you want.

Freedom looks different for each of us but one thing many of us have in common with our definition is that freedom is a business that can work for us even when we need to step away.

Because, you know. Life happens.

Sometimes We Need a New Approach

I’ve always loved fitness, staying in shape, health, and living an active lifestyle. I’m a gym rat and can always be found walking, running, and lifting weights.

About a year and a half ago though, things started to change for me physically. I was feeling more sore and achy even when just walking on the beach or doing my usual workout at the gym, I’d be exhausted and worn out after. I’ve been working out since I was 16 years old, so I employed some of my tried-and-true strategies to help myself get stronger in hopes to resolve this.

Nothing was working. Every strategy I’d relied on wasn’t offering me the improvement I was looking for. It was time to reassess and re-address who I was in my body now and take a good hard look at why my old strategies weren’t working for me anymore.

I started approaching things in a new way. First, I began working with Emily Deitrich, an OB-GYN and High-Performance Coach who helps women take their life and wellness to the next level (she’s been on my podcast and you can listen HERE). Emily helped me look at some supplements that would help reduce joint pain, improve mobility, and support my body nutritionally. I also started going to a chiropractor and getting adjusted.

My cardio and fitness routine stayed relatively stable, but the results I got from these two new strategies alone led me to massive personal success. My joint pain, soreness, and tiredness began giving me the freedom to do more.

Is Your Business Designed to Work Without You?

What if you approached your business strategies as I approached my health?

Often what I see with entrepreneurs and leaders is that they’re trying to achieve and execute their vision with the same old approach. They just push old strategies and techniques harder, hoping that they will get to where they want to go.

Several years ago, I was looking to transform my business, I wanted it to give me the freedom I craved and a chance to truly step away.

But, I was mired in the day-to-day operations and using the same old strategies to try to achieve my big vision.

I had team members in places that weren't working for them, we had repetitive processes bogging us down, and success was feeling further and further away from the harder I pushed with old strategies and systems.

I needed to approach things in a new way.

This is your invitation to look at where you’re doing the same. What are you doing in the business that isn’t in alignment with the version of you today because you’re falling back on old patterns?

Are those old systems, processes, and strategies working against you achieving the freedom you desire in your life?

You Must Have the Right Strategy

A strategy is a plan of action to achieve. It’s the master plan, the grand design, the roadmap of how to attain our desired outcome or vision. A strategy maps out the actual steps involved to get where you want to go.

When you’re stuck and not sure of what the strategy should be, look to your vision. Your vision will guide the strategy.

The vision knows the answer when you don’t.

In order to get a clear strategy in place, we have to be truthful about where we’re getting stuck. What’s really holding you back? Keeping you from letting go?

Do you have the right people on your team?

Are you utilizing skill sets appropriately to achieve momentum and action towards the vision?

How are decisions made and are they being made to propel forward? Do you need to be making each and every single one?

Are you struggling to give up control?

It’s incredibly easy to fall back into old patterns and strategies, especially when we get stuck.

This is where the pushing comes from, despite not getting results. But I assure you, having the right strategy in place is even easier than that.

And it’s the path to ultimate freedom. A business that’s intentionally designed to work for you, even when life happens.

Step up to doing it differently, rise to the challenge, you will start to unlock freedom and success.

It’s time to disrupt how you’ve always done things to discover new pathways toward your evolving business vision.
