Undecided from the beginning

I have a history of not being able to make up my mind. It started when I graduated high school and had no idea what I “ wanted to be when I grew up”.

My mom said I had to go to university, so I did what every graduate does in those circumstances, I took Arts.

Feeling Lost

However, after a year of Arts, I realized I wanted to be a businesswoman. A few years in a Bachelor of Business, and I decided that public speaking and heels just weren't for me. So I switched to a Bachelor of Science with the goal of becoming a Radiological Technologist.

Finding My Way

Working in the X-ray field, I saw firsthand the impact of a healthy lifestyle. I made changes to my own diet, and lost 40 pounds. I felt so passionate about health, that I started a nutrition and fitness business called ‘The Clean Fork.’ But soon, I was struggling to juggle it with my hospital job, and being a new mom. I had to choose between sinking my business or diving in full-time. It meant giving up my pension, benefits, and job security, but I took the leap.

The idea of failure, the unknown, and the pressure to succeed can make it seem almost impossible. With determination and a positive attitude, you CAN create a successful business, a life and freedom, that you have always wanted.

Inner Voice

I had people in my life who thought I was crazy to leave my stable 9-5 job and become an entrepreneur. However, I also had people who believed in me and encouraged me to take the leap, so I did it. And guess what? It paid off. Today, I'm living my dream of running a thriving business and helping others live their healthiest lives. I decide my vacation, my worth, where my time goes, and how hard I work.

Remember that fear and self-doubt are natural, but they shouldn't hold you back from pursuing your dreams. Take the time to research and plan, seek out advice and support, and have faith in yourself and your abilities. My passion was so strong for helping others obtain body transforming results, that in my head- there was NO chance of failing at this.

Starting a business is not easy, but it can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. So take the plunge, believe in yourself, know you have to WORK and see where the journey takes you. You never know – it could be the best decision you ever make.
