Tamara Mitchell-Davis, Queen Visionary | Book Coach and Consultant

Tell us a bit about your story. How did you build your career until this point?

My journey started with one bold decision to stop waiting for permission and finally write the story that had been living inside me for years. I didn’t have a blueprint or publisher backing me. I had faith, a desire to make an impact, and a message that wouldn't let me sleep. That story became my first book, and that book became the bridge to a business. I discovered that when you write your story, you give others permission to confront their own. You create connection, credibility, and opportunity.

From that moment, I built TM Davis Enterprise LLC, grounded in the belief that your story is the starting point, not the end. Over the years, I’ve helped over 140 individuals become bestselling authors, many of whom went on to build platforms, launch businesses, win awards, speak on stages, and spark real change. My career has been a combination of service, strategy, and storytelling.

What are your next goals or projects?

Right now, I’m inviting powerful women aspiring authors, wives, leaders, and business owners to coauthor in my next book collaboration project: “I’m Still Standing.” This isn’t just a writing opportunity, it’s a movement. A declaration. A legacy piece that says: no matter the setback, I refused to give up.

This project is for those who know their story matters but need the right coach, strategy, and system to bring it to life. I don’t just help you write a chapter; I help you build a platform from that chapter. You get publishing support, branding elevation, marketing strategy, and visibility coaching. You walk away positioned as an expert with a profitable message. I’ve been called a “storytelling midwife” for a reason: I help you birth what’s been locked inside of you for far too long.

What drives/inspires you?

Transformation. Watching someone go from doubting their story to boldly sharing it, monetizing it, and using it to help others, that’s what fuels me. I’m inspired by the ripple effect. When one woman tells her story, it creates space for another to do the same. That’s how movements are made. That’s how healing, elevation, and legacy are built.

How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?

I’ve learned to schedule my priorities, not just prioritize my schedule. As a wife, mother, glam-ma, dean, professor, entrepreneur, and leader, I have non-negotiables: my morning gym sessions, my quiet time, and family Sundays. I create boundaries around my workday and give myself permission to rest and recalibrate. Balance doesn’t mean equal; it means intentional. I’m fully present in the moments that matter, whether that’s leading a training or cooking dinner. I’ve also embraced support because success doesn’t mean doing everything alone.

What is your motto?

“Own your truth. Go after what you desire and deserve.” I believe that once you embrace your story, you unlock your power. And when you stand in your truth, you attract opportunities, not just chase them.

Who inspires you to be the best that you can be?

My family. My faith. And the women I serve. I’m inspired by the women who’ve been through the fire and are still showing up ready to write, ready to build, ready to rise. I see parts of myself in each of them, and they remind me why I do this work.

Perfect, here is the continuation, maintaining your voice, tone, and positioning for Brainz Magazine:

What is your work inspired by?

My work is inspired by the untold stories, the ones buried beneath responsibilities, or the lie that “no one cares.” I see what others overlook. I hear what’s often silenced. And I know, without a doubt, that the moment someone writes their truth, the healing begins not only for them but for the person on the receiving end of that story. My work is inspired by legacy. It’s inspired by every woman who refuses to shrink, every leader who chooses to be vulnerable, and every entrepreneur who dares to build something meaningful from their pain, purpose, or past.

What would you like to achieve for yourself and your business in the future?

I see TM Davis Enterprise evolving into a full-scale ecosystem for authors and leaders from story to strategy to stage. I want to expand our book collaborations, create certification programs, continue to host conferences, and establish a storytelling leadership institute for women. Personally, I want to build generational wealth, spend more time traveling with my family, and continue to model what's possible for women who want both purpose and prosperity, without having to choose between their marriage, motherhood, or mission.

What’s your purpose, mission, and driving force for all the work you do?

My purpose is to activate impact through storytelling. My mission is to help aspiring authors turn their personal stories into profitable platforms that influence lives and leave a legacy. I’m driven by the belief that no one’s story is too small, too messy, or too late to matter. I believe God gave each of us a message, a purpose, and my job is to help you speak it, write it, publish it, and build from it.

Is there a core value that you are most passionate about?

Absolutely, integrity. It’s the foundation of how I show up and serve. Integrity means doing what you say you will do. It means honoring your word, even when no one is watching. In an industry where people overpromise and underdeliver, I take pride in building trust and delivering excellence. My clients know that when they work with me, they’re not getting fluff or gimmicks, they’re getting results grounded in real support, structure, and soul.

What key advice do you have for achieving success?

Success doesn’t start with strategy; it starts with self-awareness. Know who you are. Own your story. Be clear on your why. Then commit to doing the work consistently. Get in rooms that challenge you. Learn to invest in yourself. Ask for help. And don’t skip the part where you show up scared, it’s often the birthplace of your breakthrough. Most importantly, define success for yourself, not based on followers, fame, or fortune, but on fulfillment and legacy.

Are there additional qualities that contribute to success?

Yes, resilience, emotional intelligence, and execution. You can have vision, but if you lack the ability to manage your emotions, navigate rejection, or take action, you’ll stay stuck in potential. I also believe in being coachable and community-minded. No one truly wins alone. The most successful people know how to ask questions, stay in alignment, and serve while being supported.

What is your business name and how do you help your clients?

My business is TM Davis Enterprise LLC, and I help aspiring and published authors, leaders, and entrepreneurs write their stories, get published, and build profitable platforms from their truth. I specialize in done-for-you book collaborations, 1:1 coaching, and transformational programs designed to turn your message into marketing, your book into a business, and your purpose into profit.

What inspired you to create the business?

I created this business because I struggled for nearly a decade to write and publish my own story. I was overwhelmed, unsure, and unsupported. Once I finally self-published my first book in 2017, everything changed. It opened doors, birthed new income streams, and positioned me as an expert. I realized there were thousands of people sitting on powerful stories but lacking the guidance, tools, and belief to do anything with them. So, I became who I needed, a storytelling midwife and queen visionary, helping others deliver books, businesses, and breakthroughs.

What services or products does TM Davis Enterprise offer?

We offer:

  • Book collaboration projects where clients write one chapter and we handle the rest (editing, design, publishing, promotion).

  • 1:1 VIP coaching to help published authors monetize their message and grow their business.

  • 90-minute strategy sessions for clarity and momentum.

  • A membership community for ongoing training, accountability, and income-building.

  • Speaking, training, conferences, and retreats focused on storytelling, platform building, and business elevation.

How do they address the needs of your target audience?

Our clients are women with stories, wisdom, and life experience, but they’re tired of doing it alone or feeling stuck in confusion. We simplify the process. Whether they’re writing for the first time or building from their book, we meet them where they are. Every offer is designed to remove overwhelm, offer structure, build confidence, and generate results from the page to the platform to the profit.

What are the criteria for a client to work with you?

You don’t need to be a polished writer or published expert. You just need to have a desire to make an impact, a willingness to be coached, and a commitment to do the work. I work best with purpose-driven women who are ready to stop sitting on their story and start using it as a tool to create visibility, income, and legacy.

Is there a common challenge that your customers face?

Yes, many of them struggle with clarity, confidence, and consistency. They either don’t know where to start, don’t believe their story is enough, or they’ve started but haven’t followed through. Others are published but stuck on “what’s next.” That’s where I come in to give them a plan, accountability, and tangible outcomes.

What sets TM Davis Enterprise apart from other services in the industry?

We’re not a traditional publishing company. We’re a transformational platform. Most companies focus on getting your book published, but we focus on helping you leverage your story and book to build your brand, business, and bottom line. Our clients don’t just publish stories and books; they create platforms, generate income, and build community. And I don’t just hand you a template, I walk with you through the process with coaching, accountability, and real results.

What are your current goals for your business?

  • Enroll 6 more coauthors in our “I’m Still Standing” book collaboration

  • Launch our new VIP day offer using the A.U.T.H.O.R. Framework

  • Grow our Pen to Profit™ membership and community for aspiring and published authors

  • Continue to increase visibility through speaking, media features, and partnerships

Could you share some success stories from your clients?

Yes, one of my coauthors went from a 20-year corporate career to launching her own consulting business, using her story as the foundation for her brand. Several of our coauthors have become award-winning speakers, podcast hosts, and entrepreneurs, all from writing one chapter.

How do you foster connections and support among your audience?

We create community through private groups, live trainings, monthly expert sessions, co-writing sessions, and collaborative events like the Pen to Profit Conference & Author Awards. I don’t just build clients, I build communities of women who cheer each other on, hold each other accountable, and grow together.

For readers inspired by this conversation and eager to start their journey, what first steps would you recommend?

Stop waiting for the perfect time. The perfect outline. The perfect confidence. Your story is already enough, and someone is waiting for it. Start by writing one chapter. One moment. One truth. Then, surround yourself with the right coach and community who can help you turn it into an impact. If that sounds like you, let’s connect. You don’t have to do this alone.
