GOD 11

Student: "Does God have some big plan that He is accomplishing through life?"

Guru: "You have plans. What is your big plan that you are accomplishing through life?"

Student: "I still need to start planning it."

Guru: "Understand that a plan is restlessness. A big plan is big restlessness. Calm down."

Student: "That would be nice. But how?"

Guru: "There is a simple meditation - three in one. In this meditation, you calm down, save the world, and return to your essence, which is peace. This meditation has several variations.

  1. Inhaling, listen to the movement of air through your nose, and exhaling, send peace to all of humanity, the entire planet, the entire universe.

  2. Inhaling, draw divine peace, heavenly peace, ultimate peace into yourself, and exhaling, send it to others.

  3. Inhaling, focus on the feeling of being and exhaling, on the feeling of peace."

Student: "And the world will be saved?"

Guru: "Of course. Start with yourself and then tell your friends about it. Start meditating on the hour and let it last for five minutes. Spread this information in kindergartens, schools, workplaces, churches, and sanctuaries. Spread this information around the world, and the world will be saved."

Student: "Why should I start on the hour?"

Guru: "Every hour starts at the same moment around the world, and this time is easy to remember. When millions of people meditate for peace at the same time, it has a tremendous impact."

Student: "People sleep, work, and study. Who has time to start meditating every hour?"

Guru: "Everyone chooses the hour that suits them best. Meditating once a day or once a week also helps to reduce interpersonal tensions, decrease stress, and heal nerves. Oh yes, before falling asleep, you can repeat the word 'peace' in your mind while exhaling. It helps to fall asleep."

Inspiring global harmony through daily meditation practice

The 5-Minute Peace Meditation channeled from GAIA through Tharapita Tam offers a simple yet profound practice to foster tranquility both within and globally. Tharapita Tam is a spiritual teacher of higher consciousness who lives in seclusion. His teaching emphasizes that endless striving creates infinite restlessness. Everything created is transient! Peace is the primary state; we must return to it.

This meditation aims to reduce conflicts and enhance mental well-being through consistent practice.

Ideal times to meditate

Weekdays: Every day at 12:00 noonSundays: At the beginning of any full hour of your choice

Understanding "At the Beginning of Any Full Hour"

This phrase means starting your meditation exactly at the start of any hour (e.g. 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, etc.). You can choose any hour that suits your schedule, but the key is to begin at the very start of the hour. This timing creates a synchronized wave of meditative energy as people around the world meditate at the same precise moment, enhancing the collective impact. This synchronized timing amplifies the collective effect as people worldwide meditate simultaneously.

Meditation techniques to master the 5-minute peace meditation

  • Mindful Attitude: Approach meditation with an attitude of appreciation. Every breath is a gift and ordinary activities are powerful.

  • Seated Posture: Sit with a deliberate and appreciative attitude connecting with the earth whether on a chair or cushion.

  • Uplifted Presence: Maintain an uplifted presence with hands resting lightly on your thighs.

  • Gaze and Mouth: Your eyes can look somewhat down about four to six feet in front of you, or your eyes can be half-closed or closed so that you feel relaxed. This gentle relaxed gaze helps focus inward enhancing the meditative experience. Preferably, rest your tongue at the root of your mouth if it helps you to relax.

  • Breath Awareness: Focus on your natural breath. Inhale and exhale naturally, paying attention to the out-breath, which symbolizes letting go. Exhaling longer is more beneficial as the out-breath is an experience of the life force. The out-breath is like giving birth to the Universe. (In this 5-minute meditation, the out-breath emphasizes sending divine peace to planet Earth.)

  • Managing Thoughts: Label any thoughts as thinking and return to your breath. Silently saying "Thinking" can help you acknowledge the thought and then let it go.

  • Handling Aches, Pains, and Irritations: Treat physical sensations and irritations as thought patterns, labeling them as thinking and refocusing on your breath. Again, silently saying "Thinking" can help you return to your meditation.

These meditation techniques draw inspiration from Chögyam Trungpa's teachings, which emphasize mindfulness and the natural process of meditation as a means to connect with the present moment and the earth. Chögyam Trungpa is an influential Tibetan spiritual master, incarnate lama, and abbot of an important monastery in eastern Tibet. His higher consciousness visions are beyond time and have inspired for centuries, presenting not only Buddhism but also earlier Tibetan wisdom to the world.

The impact of group meditation

Research shows that group meditation has a significantly greater impact than meditating alone. This phenomenon, known as the "Maharishi Effect," highlights the substantial benefits of collective meditation. Studies have demonstrated significant reductions in crime rates and societal stress when groups meditate together. Importantly, group meditation does not need to happen in the same room. The impact of meditation is very high when done together at the same time, even if participants are in different locations. For instance, a study conducted between 2007-2010 found a 28.4% reduction in murder rates across 206 U.S. cities during group meditation periods (Institute of Science, Technology, and Public Policy ISTPP).

Similarly, in Merseyside, England, group meditation sessions resulted in a 13.4% drop in crime rates over five years, saving the city millions of pounds (Transcendental Meditation - Study 33).

A historical example of collective intention's power is the Baltic Chain in 1989. Approximately two million people from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania formed a human chain, peacefully advocating for independence from the Soviet Union (Smithsonian Magazine, Wikipedia, JSTOR Daily).

Universal timing for meditation

Tharapita Tam emphasizes the importance of synchronized meditation, starting exactly at the beginning of any hour (e.g. 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, etc.). This global synchronization creates a powerful wave of meditative energy, amplifying the collective effect. By aligning our intentions and breaths at these universal times, we contribute to a significant global impact. Even if daily schedules make hourly meditation impractical, choosing a consistent hour each day or week helps to reduce stress, and interpersonal tensions, and fosters a peaceful state of being.

Share the practice

This meditation practice is a gift to humanity, increasing in power with more participants. Share this practice with friends, family, and communities. Encourage schools, institutions, and homes to incorporate this simple meditation into their daily routines, creating a ripple effect of peace.

Peace is what Buddha discovered while meditating under a tree when he let go of all afflictions created by the mind. Peace is a natural primary state – the Spirit, that is in all that IS.

By promoting the 5-Minute Peace Meditation, we honor the wisdom of GAIA and higher consciousness spiritual teachers; and support a peaceful, harmonious planet. Join this global endeavor and help spread the message far and wide.
