It’s in the disconnection
The feeling that you are here but you are not really here
The feeling that you know but you don’t really know
The pulling away from who you were meant to be
The pulling away from your soul
The yearning to be known, to be seen
The yearning to be accepted for who you really are
The heartache, the pain, the conflict, the strife
The confusion from being seduced by multiple things
The confusion from all the noise
The longing for something more compelling
The longing for someone who will love you unconditionally
A heart that yearns for one
One way, one hope, one truth, one love
And he already came
He was here, he was really here
Search no more, look no further
He has come to mend the disconnection
To see you for who you really are
To give you true freedom
To bring you back to yourself
To heal the heartache, the pain, the conflict, the strife
To offer you unconditional love
To set your heart in one direction
He is the way, the truth, and the life
Our only hope in a dark world
In this life, things may not always be sweet
But his promises are eternal
So, what are you waiting for?
Come back to the lover of your soul
Come back to your first love
His name Jesus!
