Forgiving ourselves and others frees the mind and body of energies that no longer serve us. Letting go of grudges and resentment is liberating and makes room for positive energies that we want to attract into our lives. This is a gift we give to ourselves. The foundational belief is that we are worthy of the best that life and love have to offer. The inner child in us, that 7-year-old version of us, is deserving and worthy of the best that life and love have to offer.

It is the times I have forgiven myself that have had the most impact on my overall mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Examples include forgiving myself for a failed marriage, forgiving myself for not having healthy boundaries, forgiving myself for allowing others limiting beliefs to limit my potential, and the list goes on. My article “Divine Mercy and The Gift of Forgiveness” is about the divine gift of forgiveness and how to forgive ourselves and others. It is about how to love ourselves and others. Some of us may have heard that forgiving others is not about them. It is about us. What exactly does this mean?

Three reasons to forgive yourself and/or others

1. Take back your personal power

Why not be a creator of the present and future rather than a victim or hostage of the past? A motivating reason to forgive is to take back personal power rather than remain a victim or hostage of the past.

2. Free yourself of stress that causes dis-ease

Why not let go of energy blockages in the body that cause stress and limit your potential? Forgiving yourself is good for your health. Holding onto grudges causes stress in the body. The mental and emotional bodies want to let it go and it has to come out somewhere, so it comes out through the physical body as an ailment. By acknowledging the messages from the body, energy is released and the permanence of the condition is released.

3. Fully live in the present

Why give the past or someone else more energy than it or they deserve? In spending time ruminating about the past, more energy is given to it, rather than manifesting something better. Where our attention goes, energy flows. Forgiveness frees us from the pain of the past. By forgiving, energy is conserved for better things to spend time on in the present.

My article "ABCs to Break Free From The Addiction To Suffering" provides further insights into fully living in the present.

How does PSYCH-K® help with forgiveness?

PSYCH-K® is a spiritual process to reprogram the subconscious mind to align with the conscious mind’s goals, with the permission of the superconscious (Higher Self). The subconscious mind is like a supercomputer. With 95% of life on autopilot, controlled by the subconscious mind, a little assistance from the superconscious (Higher Self) may be needed to let go of self-sabotaging behaviors and align with one’s Divine Path. PSYCH-K® has been around for over 34 years and has helped over 100 thousand people restore their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. In my transformational coaching business, I offer a PSYCH-K® Core Beliefs balance that consists of 13 pairs of statements to create the foundation for accelerated results in one’s life and eliminate self-sabotage in the process. One of the statements is “I forgive myself and others for all the wrongs done to me and I take responsibility for my own life.” Through muscle testing, it is determined whether the subconscious mind is in alignment with this goal statement. If it is not, then the client is guided through postures and movements to get to a whole-brain state related to this statement. PSYCH-K® can also be used to transform perceptions of stressful or traumatic events. Past memories are no longer triggers. In a whole-brain state, there is greater capacity and resourcefulness to proceed forward in life.

In Summary

In summary, forgiving is releasing energy that no longer serves us and freeing the stress in the mind and body by tapping into the heart. All of this is to create happiness and peace from within by taking back our personal power, freeing ourselves of stress, and fully living in the present.

PSYCH-K® is a process to help transform perceptions of stressful or traumatic events by reprogramming the subconscious mind to get to a whole-brain state, where there is greater resourcefulness and past memories are no longer triggering.
