Moving forward requires incorporating a growth process. There is no progression without a process. Progression requires a commitment to continually evolve and grow. Growing results in being uncomfortable and stretching. As you grow, your become confident in your capabilities and believe in what you can accomplish.

The more you are uncomfortable the higher the level of growth that will be achieved. Do not fear or attempt to avoid growth.

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” ― Anais Nin

Do not allow being uncomfortable to be a roadblock to growing. Instead view growth as an adventure, challenge and opportunity. As you grow, you move forward. If you cease to grow, you will become extinct. Strive to be exceptional. Be committed to being consistent and dedicated to grow.

Use this 10-step growth process to aid you in moving forward.

  1. Identify where you need to thrive requiring growth. What areas or skills do you need to improve that will aid in your progression?

  2. Set the goal for growth.

  3. Establish the logistics. When do you need to start? What will assist in maximizing growth? How long will it take to realize the growth?

  4. Identify the resources needed to support growth. Who are the people needed? Who do you need to obtain buy-in? What is the time, effort and financial commitment?

  5. Make the preparations. What do you need to do to produce and yield the results that you desire? Make adjustments to your schedule, people or environment that must be in place to facilitate the growth.

  6. Sow to produce growth. Take the required actions to achieve and realize the desired outcomes.

  7. Be consistent, and take the small steps required to achieve the grow.

  8. Take time to pause, reflect and evaluate. Gage the progress of your growth.

  9. Make adjustments, corrections and adapt as needed.

  10. Restart the process, this is a continuous cycle. The focus is to make growth a habit.

For this process to be effective, you must promote and foster an environment that supports constantly evolving. You must develop your advantage and distinctiveness.

These steps are a process. Know that there may be some areas where you may be deficient. Do not allow deficiencies to delay or dissuade you from moving forward in growing. You cannot allow inadequacies to hinder you from growing. Inadequacies are opportunities in the growth process. Be bold and persistent in the pursuit of that which you are passionate. Deficiencies are to be overcome. View them as a challenge to aid you in the growth process.

Use this ten-step growth process to guide you in being dedicated and committed to growing. You will be uncomfortable. Uncomfortable is how you grow and keep moving forward.

“The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.” C. JoyBell C.
